Small place to grab a quick bite. They dont have a grill or oven so everything they have are cold sandwiches. There hummus was really good. It was among the very few that was not sour and also the texture was creamy and tasted fresh.

Tiny little takeout place. I love their hummus of the day, I add in on to the caprese salad. Great for a quick, healthy lunch.

I stumbled upon this place one afternoon while strolling through Detroit. The location was on a non-busy street. The interior decor was modern, with photos on the walls, making the place cozy. I liked the service; the individual was helpful and friendly. For lunch, I got the falafel pita wrap, which was fresh, and the sauce was amazing. I would most definitely be back to try more options and recommend this place to a friend or family member visiting Detroit.

Love having this healthy restaurant option downtown! I used to order here often after visiting the YMCA. They had amazing smoothies as well they stopped making for a while and I hope they bring back - the date smoothie was incredible! I recently ordered DoorDash from here and the chicken bowl was good, unfortunately they sold out of the soup I'd ordered. I do wish they offered other rice options like brown rice, but otherwise the option for a rice/salad mix in their bowls is great! Love their falafel as well.

Really good gyros and I love the shoestring fries. Was very busy at lunch, but my food came up really quick. Some seating seems to be mostly for takeout.

i really wanted to love this place but the rice was lacking flavor. it was a good price for the amount of food you get, but it definitely felt like it was lacking something. $13 for a chicken bowl is a great deal. I also ordered 4 falafels but they also lacked flavor. the service is good & the shop is small and quaint. it's nice for a quick lunch in the city.

If you're in downtown Detroit south of Grand Circus and looking for Mediterranean cuisine this is the place. Deli style atmosphere, but a short walk from several area hotels. Food is delicious, fresh, and the staff takes pride in their craft. Mmm. Shawarma.

The food here is amazing! The staff is very friendly as well, I had some questions about various sauces that came on the food and he let me try them all before ordering. The chicken bowl had tons of meat on it, it fed me for 2 days. The only downfall is the area, it was very hard to find parking to quickly go grab lunch.

Stopped by ChickP on a Friday, as I heard great things about their Falafel. We walked in and we're greeted by staff. The menu is illuminated on screens right behind the register/ordering area. Their menu is pretty simple with your choice of bowls, protein, etc. I ordered the falafel bowl over rice... it comes with yellow/saffron rice, onions, pickles, cucumbers, hummus, garlic paste and tahini (sesame paste) dressing. Everything is full of flavor and tastes fresh. I am very picky with my falafel and these were AMAZING! It's rare to find a flavorful falafel, but when it's dark brown on the outside and vibrant green on the inside - you know its made right. Their garlic paste is so strong, hits every tastebud, opens your pores and sinuses but in a good way! The hummus texture and flavor is spot on as well, even though I'm used to a more tangy/lemony hummus. Their tahini dressing ties everything in the bowl together. My sister ordered the chicken shawarma bowl (same items on it as mentioned above) and the chicken was fresh, tender and flavorful. However, out of the two - falafel is hands down the best! From the food to the excellent/fast service - I definitely recommend ChickP and absolutely will be back for their falafel!

Furiously fantastic falafel for flavorful fanatics feeling feverishly famished. My coworker and I had just consumed our weight in caffeinated liquids and needed a meal to bring our souls back down to earth. For myself, I ordered a falafel wrap. Now, I'm not an onion guy and forgot to ask for no onions but you know what? This place does it right. Instead of overpowering the wrap, the onions complimented the other flavors just right. Falafel was spot on. The balance was restored to my soul via falafel and my breath still smelled alright. Yes chef. Thank you chef.

The food is delicious. Service sucks. I ordered the falafel bowl online. I received a message while driving to the location that my food was ready. I get there and the guy must have forgotten because it wasn't ready, but because it was a falafel bowl, it didn't take him long to fix it. Annoyed but okay, I got my food. So yesterday, I wanted Chickp so I called directly this time, thinking I'll have better results. The guy took my order and told me it'll be ready in 10 minutes. So I left to go there since it would take me about 12 minutes to get there. Pull up, walked in, and told the guy I called in for an order of shwarma fries. "Oh shoot, okay, it will be a couple minutes." I said, you didn't start them yet? No, but it will take about 4 minutes. I said no, that's okay. And left. Guess what? It was the same guy.

Great compact venue. Being vegan Ed ( the proprietor) was very concerned I received exactly what I needed being plant based & oil free. I had a salad with rice in it & my friend had a falafel sandwich that even Bucharest grill would smile at. Worth the stop, check it out

I've eaten here twice. Once in person and once from doordash. The first time I wasn't very impressed, the falafel in my sandwich was kind of bland. But I'm glad I gave them a second chance, they must have been having an off day! The second time I had the falafel sandwich it was flavorful and exactly what I was craving. Tahini was a perfect accompaniment and the pickles were crisp. The fries are really good too, and of course gotta order that garlic sauce! Try out chickp!

Bucharest better watch out! This spot is giving them a run for their money. Mello, the manager was so kind and provided very friendly, fast service. The rice bowl he made me was phenomenal! Everything tasted so fresh. The falafel was green inside, which is always a sign of freshness and authenticity. Omg and the prices? So reasonable. My bowl was only $10 i couldn't believe it! I will for sure be back!

By far the best Mediterranean lunch spot! This was my third time here and once again it was amazing. The service alone was 5 stars. Very very welcoming staff and fast service if your in a rush. I could go on and on but all I can say is that if you're reading this, this is your sign to go!!

I hate giving one star reviews and very rarely do. First off, I will say service was fine. Friendly enough and while there was a bit of a wait for the food, it wasn't unreasonably long. But the fruit flies....not one or two but this place was infested. I'd already paid for my food and was on a tight schedule when I noticed they were everywhere and it definitely put a damper on my appetite. Used the bathroom, which was clean, but there were even multiple fruit flies in there. The food itself lacked flavor. I got the ultimate chicken shawarma. It looked delicious but tasted very bland. I asked for extra garlic sauce assuming it'd be the thicker garlic paste but it was runny and tasteless and made the wrap so wet it fell apart. Aside from that, eating at a table while shooing fruit flies away the whole time just isn't how I prefer to dine. I was looking forward to finding a new good Mediterranean food option downtown, but sadly, this isn't it.

10/10!!!! I love it here and I get the same thing every time, the gyro shawarma bowl with 3/4 rice, 1/4 spring mix. I make three meals out of it. Never disappoints, so fresh and delicious

I had dinner here last month with my husband when we were in the area mostly because there weren't a lot of places that were open at the time and we didn't wanna have pizza again. The food was tasty but I didn't enjoy it very much since everything was cold. I had a bowl with Gyros and the meat and the rice were cold. Service is fast and there's a good variety of menu items.

Looking for lunch I stumbled across this place, who doesn't love falafel for lunch . The Hot was excellent, great falafel as it should be, soft in the middle, crunchy on the outside. Great staff and reasonable prices rounded it off. I'll definitely be back!

We ordered schwarma fries and the rice bowl. The portions were very generous. the chicken was a bit dry, as was the rice. That being said, we did finish all of the food. The restaurant is cute inside.

Terrible service. I walked in and the place was empty. Music was playing loudly. I looked at the menu to order and waited a bit. I leaned forward to see if anyone was there. I said, "Hello?" No one came. I thought maybe they were closed? Then I noticed a bell on the counter to "ring for service". I never like ringing those things. It makes me feel like I'm coming across as impatient. But whatever. I was hungry. I tried it and the ring barely sounded. So I tired again and it rang a little more... Then I see a man way back behind the counter. He comes over and mumbles something and walk away. I asked him, "Sorry - are you open? I couldn't hear you." He walk over again and says, "Well you kept ringing that bell so I'm not.... Mumble mumble mumble." and then walked away again. "Wow." I said. "Really?!" And I left. Great service. I'm sure their food is awesome.

The smells off the street brought us to this lovely establishment. We were greeted by a lovely chef who was so wholesome and accommodating. The food is SO good, and trust me, you won't leave hungry!

My husband and I travel a lot for business and we are also vegan which makes finding great places to eat pretty tough. We found ChickP within a mile of our hotel. The food options were fresh and delicious but more importantly, the staff were very friendly and accommodating! When feta cheese was mistakenly added to my dish they replaced it with their apologies.

I thought it was pretty good. Very generous chicken Shawarma sandwich. The chicken was honestly a bit dry but the garlic sauce was awesome. Fast and friendly service. I'd probably try something else next time but it will definitely have garlic sauce on it.

If you're travelling for work, keeping a healthy diet is tough. So when I was given the opportunity to go out and get a meal on my own, mediterranean was the first thought that came to mind. ChickP Detroit is located centrally and was quite easy to find. The staff was super friendly and gave me the Wifi password and a recommendation. My shawarma bowl was delicious and filling. There was enough food that I saved half of it for a snack back at my hotel room. It was nice knowing that the vast majority of the contents were veggies and that, split up over two meals, I hadn't broken my calorie budget. If I lived in Detroit, this would be a regular lunch-time stop for me. Definitely make sure to put this on your list for great lunch-time spots!

One of my favorite lunch spots in the downtown area. The prices are affordable and the food is delicious. The service is great and the employees are really nice. I'd recommend takeout. I'm actually not sure if there's tables to sit and eat. Ive only ever ordered takeout. I highly recommend the chicken shawarma bowl, the chicken shawarma & fries, and the smoothies.

Nestled in downtown this small pleasant and quaint restaurant offers taste of the Middle East right in the heart of Motown, portions are big and filling, taste is authentic. Owner is warm and welcoming. I will definitely be returning to try the extensive menu.

Such a hidden gem in downtown Detroit! They have a super versatile menu, mediterranean food, vegan, burgers, chicken tenders and healthy salads! The chicken tenders were so juicy and not overly breaded, I hate when I get chicken tenders and it's mostly breading. Their homemade coleslaw and zesty sauce slaps Will be back again to try more on the menu.

Best place for a quick/healthy/slapping bite in Detroit. I go about 10 minutes to close once or twice per week and they still throw tf down on my rice bowls. Smoothies are crack too. Throw some hot sauce over the garlic and feel the sparks on your taste buddies. This place is top tier. Class S.
