On the Isle of Skye, These Women Chefs Are Helping Reshape the Region's Cuisine | Condé Nast Traveler

"An hour across Skye brings me to coastal Glendale and into Chidakasha Skye, whose name translates to “abode of peace” and whose chef-owner Petra Nemesova has cultivated an intimate, serene atmosphere. With just six tables and gentle, light music, the restaurant serves a rotating, seasonal three-course vegetarian menu paired with a curated tea selection; highlights include a fragrant coconut, tamarind, and butternut soup and a comforting roasted zucchini, chickpea, and aubergine stew with spiced quinoa, nasturtium pesto, and a moong and sesame cake. Many ingredients — leafy greens, vegetables, minty herbs, and edible flowers — are grown on Nemesova’s croft next door and harvested just before cooking, reinforcing the quiet, single‑estate feel of the place on an isle renowned for seafood." - Carinne Geil Botta

We came here for dinner on our last night in Skye and it ended up being the best meal of our trip! It’s in a remote area of island with a cozy, intimate atmosphere. The food was incredible. Such a unique spot, it’s worthy of a Michelin! Thank you for a wonderful meal

Chidakasha, in quiet and remote location makes this restaurant along with its fabulously delicious and presented dishes, a very special place. The atmosphere was so comfortable on a chilly evening and our server, Harriot was simply charming. Whether you are a vegetarian or not, one must visit for a truly amazing experience.

Many google maps review are not very reliable BUT this intimate dining experience deserves more than max stars! I'm surprised it's not on White guide or got at least one Michelin star yet! Beautifully prepared food with excellent tea pairing. Friendly and very zen atmosphere. One of the best experiences I've had! Love it! 💖

Absolutely delicious food, and the tea pairings were a lot of fun It is a small intimate restaurant offering a unique experience, and I am so glad we got the opportunity to go. We were staying up the road and our B&B owner recommended this restaurant, saying that her guests always rated it incredibly highly. It absolutely did not disappoint. The food was beautiful, and we genuinely considered going back for multiple nights of our stay. I don't think I'd be able to visit Skye again without going back to Chidakasha.

Beautiful little place. I’ve been Veggie for nearly 10 years and I’m always on the lookout for vegetarian finds - this is easily one of the best vegetarian restaurants I’ve been to. Such wonderful flavours with a beautifully thought out menu. Lovely atmosphere and the tea pairings were unique and varied. Highly recommended for anyone who visits Skye and wants their meal out to feel like a real event.

After driving down a single lane country road for an hour, the last thing I expected was to find a gorgeous, quaint, and unique dining experience! We lucked out with finding this place on a quick google search while exploring Isle of Skye, making an online booking before heading over. The building’s outside appearance was deceptive, because on the inside was a gorgeously decorated interior with fresh flowers, antique tea pots, and fresh loaves of homemade sourdough on display. Calming “spa music” immersed us into a relaxing evening, watching the local sheep walk past the window. The service was impeccable and the vegetarian 3 course meal was delicious. There were thought out tea pairings for each course and every item of food was made in house. All vegetarian food and no alcohol served, but don’t let that deter you from choosing this place! I would say this is easily my favourite small business restaurant I’ve ever visited.
