"An hour across Skye brings me to coastal Glendale and into Chidakasha Skye, whose name translates to “abode of peace” and whose chef-owner Petra Nemesova has cultivated an intimate, serene atmosphere. With just six tables and gentle, light music, the restaurant serves a rotating, seasonal three-course vegetarian menu paired with a curated tea selection; highlights include a fragrant coconut, tamarind, and butternut soup and a comforting roasted zucchini, chickpea, and aubergine stew with spiced quinoa, nasturtium pesto, and a moong and sesame cake. Many ingredients — leafy greens, vegetables, minty herbs, and edible flowers — are grown on Nemesova’s croft next door and harvested just before cooking, reinforcing the quiet, single‑estate feel of the place on an isle renowned for seafood." - Carinne Geil Botta
