Really enjoyed our meal. Their food was really good. Their birria is amazing probably better than my moms. Thank you for recommending the birria Stephen E. I didn’t order drinks this time but the cocktails in their menu look incredibly delicious.

Google
This was a 10/10 🌟whole experience! We visited the Frisco location & before talking about the food, we need to give a shout out to our waitress Kate who was super sweet & just top tier! She made our first time going there amazing. Now for the food: We got the carne asada fries, chips & queso, birria ramen, the crunch wrap & finished with the tres leches bread pudding. There is not a SINGLE bad thing we can say about any of it! Everything perfectly seasoned & all reasonably priced! If I had a top pick one it would def be the carne asada fries!!! We'll definitely be back, it's a must try place!

Food was really good and service was on point. I really enjoyed the birria tacos. The Taco Americano is just a basic taco but still really good we had the flight for the appetizer which was good also. Cool atmosphere great place for a date.

Google
Great employees and managers but my Barbacoa was same as it is every place. No can you side of tacos?ether. Very odd. Beer cold server outstanding place was very clean and bathroom was cute and clean. Chips and salsa ok. But very cool atmosphere will go again

We went here for Valentine's Day. Based on the reviews I saw before making the reservation vs our actual trip there, I had a different expectation of what my experience was going to be, and I can take accountability for that. The food was ok. It didn't wow me at all. It didn't provide anything special based on the type of restaurant. The service was good. It was our servers' first day, and we would not have ever known because he was knowledgeable about the menu. I don't know if I would make plans to go back again, but if people wanted to go here, I would oblige.

Stopped by here one afternoon and the atmosphere was off putting from the moment we walked in. We were going to dine in but changed our minds due to the atmosphere. So we instead decided to get take out. We ordered the chicken al pastor “street” tacos & a quesadilla. I enjoyed the chicken Al pastor tacos. However, not worth $12 for 3 small tacos. We ordered 3 orders of the tacos, fries, and a “jerk” chicken quesadilla which was meh. Total came out to about $63 before tip.

Cute place. Just a few tables inside and a few more tables outside on the patio. Chairs were wet from the storm, and they were quick to wipe down the chairs and tables. Alicia was our server, and she was great! We ordered the tablitas appetizer, which was delicious and tender. Carne asada fries were very flavorful. I ordered the birria ramen, and it was a pretty good portion with some good flavor in it. It was a good size bowl. My friends ordered tacos and the quesabirria tacos and they said they liked it. We ended it with bread pudding. It was so moist. Good place to go eat with friends and if you get Alicia, she's all smiles and made the experience so much better!

From the time we walked into the door till the time we left just an amazing experience! The front door hostess was very welcoming and our waitress Alisha was very personal and extremely knowledge on the menu. The food was spectacular to the chips and salad to our main dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant. Overall 20/20! Hats off!

Yelp
I cannot say enough good about this taco spot. I was in heaven eating here. Not only were the apps delicious, the drinks were so good and had the perfect balance of creative flair and practicality. Service was delightful, our server helped us make the right choices and get the right amount of food. He also steered me in the right drink direction and I am forever grateful. The decor was cute, modern and interesting, I liked the style presented. The fries, my goodness please order them. And the Tacos?!?! Im not sure what they put on the veggie taco but it was one of the best tasting tacos, and I eat a full array of foods and meats.

Yelp
This place has amazing food, amazing drinks, and amazing service. I have no other thoughts, just trying to fill characters so I can post this review.

Yelp
I ordered to go and I'm literally sick from the food Taco Bueno is better and I don't even eat fast food anymore but after this nasty food I may. I will start with what looked promising the Taco Salad. Looked good but they didn't give you much. The bottom of the she was rice and beans which actually turned out to be the best part. The beef is weird and they made me pick fajita for an up charge but I don't think there was any but either way it has me barfing. The queso is that gelato can cheese so don't bother. The flauta is old stuff. Everything was stale and I'm sick. The place should be shut down.

Yelp
Visited Chído for dinner, this is a very unique and well decorated restaurant. Very themed and looks awesome. We started with a few cocktails. The classic margarita had great flavor and delivered everything i expect out of one. The tequila old fashioned was ok, i ordered it to be smoked which made for a very theatrical and flashy show from the bartender but the flavor of the drink was just mid. It felt unbalanced and needed more sweetness or sourness to round it out. For an appetizer we got the sampler, their queso tasted like standard velveta queso and lacked some flavor. The red salsa tasted a bit too ketchupy and tomato forward, needed more heat and flavor. The salsa roja was good but felt a bit like pico. The salsa verde had way too much like to the point that it was sour and also lacked heat. For entrees we got the birra tacos and street tacos. The birra tacos were tender, juicy, and full of flavor. They came with a cup of consommé that was also good but they did charge an extra $1 just to grill the onions. For street tacos they were out of 2/3 flavors i wanted to try and said they were taking them off the menu (barbacoa and the korean bbq) so i opted for 2 carnitas and 1 steak. The carnitas were great, crispy meat with lots of porky flavor but the steak taco fell flat again, tasted like artificial smoke was added and had a very fake grill flavor similar to what i get from burger king burgers. Overall, i would go here again but probably just for the cocktails. They had an incredible selection of tequila and an extensive drink menu but i would probably get my tacos elsewhere.

Christy G.

Yelp
Chido is a medium sized casual restaurant. The decor is fun & beautiful. We received overall good service. The tacos were flavorful, but pricey. It was $7 - $8 per taco. They were pretty messy. They don't use double tortillas like authentic Mex places do, which led to splitting tortillas and dripping grease & seasoning. The queso was ok. Everything was very salty. They had a "tres leches bread pudding". It was just standard, but good, bread pudding. Unfortunately they ruined it by drizzling chocolate syrup all over it and covering it in sprinkles. The ice cream served with it was great.

Reena G.

Yelp
Oh my this place is legit fantastic! We came here for a Sunday Funday and it did not disappoint. They had a nice happy hour going on even on Sundays. I ordered the Birria tacos and they were delicious bursting with flavor. The entire table said my meal was the best. The queso was great along with the nachos we ordered for the table. My margarita was really good as well. We ended our meal with the churro ice cream sundae. It was very yummy. We will definitely be back

Cherryl B.

Yelp
Popped into one of our favorites tonight, realizing I haven't actually ever reviewed. Why, you ask? Because I'm busy guzzling drinks and stuffing my face immediately upon arrival. I did get a photo tonight, but as with reviews of some of my other favorites, a bite was already missing. Food here is a serious step up from what you might expect based on the casual vibe when you walk in. There's also a larger variety on the menu than you would think. Service is consistently friendly and personal, perhaps not the quickest when they are busy, but sip your marg and enjoy! Oh yeah, creative drinks as well. Try the grilled avocado - you'll pat yourself on the back for making such healthy choices! ;-)

Nick K.

Yelp
Amazing food and great service. If you want fantastic tacos this is the place. Steven the bar keep was super knowledgeable of the food and the spirits. 10/10. It could use more parking.

Emily N.

Yelp
Located in starwood, Chido is a great taco spot serving unique tacos. My friend got the birria tacos and she loved them so if they are on your radar I would recommend. I ordered the jerk chicken and shrimp tacos. The shrimp tacos were my favorite of the two. The jerk chicken tacos actually had a kick to them so if your spice tolerance is low i do not recommend. Overall, I would come back especially during the evening as I believe that would be the perfect time enjoy their patio.

Lena S.

Yelp
Met up with my gf for Happy Hour. She had the birria tacos. I had jerk chicken and seared fish tacos. Had side of beans and rice a la carte because it doesn't come with anything. Did get the Pineapple coconut margaritas for HH and the trio of salsas. Service was great! It was a Thursday and they do take reservations, I would recommend that because without the outside seating, it is limited.

Yelp
A go to spot for many moods... Cocktails Appetizers/Snacks (are chips, salsa, and/or queso ever NOT the move?) Tequila deep dive Food your friends like Food your husband likes Food your parents like Casual Drinks with your girls Meetup pregame Well, I just realized this could go on forever... so, how about if you hate good food and drinks, then this may not be the place for you Seriously, give it a go. You'll probably be back again & again. Also, knowledge bartenders and fantastic service all around.

Courtney P.

Yelp
I'd give this place 6 out of 5 stars! From the atmosphere, decor, and service. Oh and I can't forget the food!!! Let me start with this, we are from SoCal, so our Mexican food palate is a lot more than just the usual Tex Mex here in Texas. As soon as we walked in we knew the owner was either from SoCal or lived in SoCal at some point in his life. We sat at the bar. Started off with the salsa trio. All 3 were fabulous, my favorite was the salsa Fresca and the green salsa. Tacos we ordered the bang bang shrimp, and the Buffalo shrimp. Neither one disappointed. The ingredients in both tasted so fresh. Next up was the birria hamburguesa and holy $417 that was fireeeeeeeeeeee!!!! The consome took it over the top. And the fried avocado bites were delicious. And finally, the crunchy wrap..... MIND BLOWING MOUTH SALIVATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The crispy cheese on the outside I immediately started drooling when they put it in front of me. Now for the negative.... I'm pregnant so I didn't get to have a margarita but my husband had 2 different kinds and he kept telling me how sorry he was and that we'd come back as soon as I deliver. I smelled his and I literally could've cried with how amazing they smelled. The owner was working the bar when we went and I was super happy about that. He was wonderful and we were accurate on him having Cali lived! HB lovin! Thank you for a great meal and we will be back soon!

Katja K.

Yelp
Sure! Here's a revised version: The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend trying this place!

Ken B.

Yelp
We sat on the patio. Heard the birds. Had a light breeze. The sun was off of us. The servers were smiling talkative. The carnitas tacos were perfection. Great flavor and not covered in grease. The fajitas were some of the best I've had and the elote was incredible. Even the Oaxaca old fashioned was on point. We'll be back! Well done CTL!

Jastina C.

Yelp
Very cute spot we stumbled across with a craft tequila bar and all freshly made food items. They have a happy hour from 3-5 with some food items and slightly discounted drinks. The food was pretty good for being a niche "Mexican" restaurant not quite authentic but better than Tex mex. The bar tender/owner was very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions also!

Sarah F.

Yelp
We love the food. We got the tablitas again, and we FINALLY tried the Chido Burger and fries. Why didn't we try it sooner?! Ugh! We loved it. As per usual, service was great!

Sommer C.

Yelp
First time coming in after while, since they been opened and I'm glad I did! It was such great service, nice texture to food, and enjoy the experience all around! The ambience is perfect for lunch, happy hour and dinner! Great for date nights too, I really recommend it!

Sydney W.

Yelp
The food. The service. The full belly you get when you've left. All of it are the reasons to continue to come to Chido!

Tiffany W.

Yelp
Service: 5/5 Food: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Located in a shopping center; I appreciate the unique front door design that made this place stood out from the rest. We arrived Sunday at noon, we were the only table for 5 mins but the restaurant slowly filled up quickly. The most memorable thing we had was the bread pudding! Love the warm bread pudding paired with the Mexican vanilla ice cream. The tacos were a little too saucy for me, I wish the meat itself had some more flavor instead of it being drenched in sauces. The chips weren't salted (which I liked) but the guac was too bland for me (HEB GUAC has my tastebuds in a chokehold) Would come back to try the fajitas & churros dessert next

Mikhael W.

Yelp
All you need here is the pineapple coconut margarita and the chido fries! Think the love child of a Pina colada and a classic margarita! The chido fries seem to only be seasonded with a little salt and tajin, really pops, locks, and drops those taste buds; lemme tell you, I'll be definitely trying this at home! Not too busy for a Saturday afternoon; plenty of seating at the bar. This joint is not very big so after about 10 or so more people walked through the door, it was almost at max capacity! The crunchy wrap was their take on Taco Bell's crunch wrap supreme. The only main difference I noticed was that instead of ground beef, they opted for the birria style beef. The crispy melty cheese griddled on the outside was a nice little touch as well! Cool story on this place...it opened as soon as a Texas official opened post Covid...Wayment....did Texas ever really close?? I hope this spot remains open for many many years to come!

Abhinav K.

Yelp
Great spot if you're craving quick and good food. I ordered the appetizer flight which ie a great option if you go as a big group. All the salsas, queso and guacamole on the flight tasted good. Then I ordered the fish and jerk chicken taco which were good as well. Definitely recommend this place if you love tacos.

David A.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Groovy vibe! We happened to walk by when we were hungry and thought we would give this place a try. We were happily surprised by the menu, quality of service and overall experience. I am definitely going to bring my work boys here. We tried the chips and sampler salsa deal and were super impressed by all 3 salsas. Chips are made onsite and awesome. Taco salad very tasty and my wife had the rice bowl which she was super happy with. It's on the list for us now for sure!!

Ramon L.

Yelp
From walking in to the server to the food being spectacular to the food coming out timely. This has been one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. Not to mention all the food is amazing. But... the tablitas exploded with flavor in my mouth. Can't recommend this place enough. It's absolutely one of my favorite places. Thank you Alisha for the amazing experience.

Lulu C.

Yelp
Food was delicious, environment vibe was good, staff was very nice too. We came here for the ramen because it looked so delicious online. It was flavorful, maybe too rich and salty after couple bites. Buffalo shrimp taco was the least favorite here, maybe just because we didn't like the homemade buffalo sauce that much.

Shalini M.

Yelp
Great food /ambience/ service loved it all We ordered the flight of dips n chips /crunch wrap and several tacos n quesadillas...everything tasted delish!!!

D K.

Yelp
Awesome tacos. Sun and Weds is happy hour all day. They have a cool margarita flight. Bang bang shrimp tacos, buffalo shrimp and steak tacos were delicious. Queso was good as well. Give this place a try if you're craving great tacos.

Charis S.

Yelp
How did I not know this place even existed?! Thank you to Savannah for accommodating my family, all eight of us, for my brother's birthday. We had a great time! I hate that I forgot our waiter's name, but he was great! Started with the margarita flight, every flavor was great. The chicken tostadas were really good, great flavor, chicken was tender and flavorful, the tostada was crunchy and fresh. Loved the Loaded Chido Fries. They came out fresh and hot, the steak was tender and juicy. I didn't order a main entree, but all of the tacos that were ordered at the table looked really good - the Bang Bang Shrimp, Jerk Chicken Taco, Fish Taco. They were all huge and full of deliciousness. I must come back when I'm hungry hungry, so I can try them all! Oh, did I mention the bathroom was perfect for selfies and their playlist was on point!

Lauren R.

Yelp
Came here to try out the birria ramen and we found some better gems. First off we got the salsa sampler and it had plenty of queso, guacamole and salsas that were all delicious. I had the birria ramen which was good but I wish the noodles weren't just the 99¢ ones that you can get at the grocery store. On the other hand, I do understand that this is a Mexican restaurant, so I'm wasn't heart broken. But.... I did find their delicious birria torta. I will come back just for that. The fries were seasoned with tajin which gave them a spicy citrus kick and the sandwich was perfectly made. The meat was tender and the consume that it came with was just as flavorful. Definitely check this place out if you are nearby.

Tee J.

Yelp
Nice small hang out spot. Not a place I would frequent, buy the pineapple coconut margarita was great. I also got the jerk taco and the barbacoa ramen. It was definitely different but it was a one and done for me. The waitress was very attentive which is rare these days.

Fatima K.

Yelp
Came here seeing that the reviews were consistently positive, and I can see why! Stopped by for my birthday before heading to a local show, the place has cool vibes, music is great, drinks are on point, and the food is on another level. Hats off to the chef for some seriously tasty tacos, birria items, french fries, and bread pudding we don't even like bread pudding but the stuff was legit. They were pretty busy as we came during the 5 o'clock rush, so we didn't mind that service was a bit slow but every employee was able to speak to all items on the menu plus suggest their popular food items. Seeing I'm from Florida, I appreciated the music haha (Latin and reggaeton) and attention to detail throughout the entire place, they also have some fantastic art displayed throughout. A definite must try, will be back for sure!

Manvita M.

Yelp
Visited this place on a Friday night - very busy. Our host was Nichole and she was very kind and patient. We ordered the tablitas - AMAZING. My husband ordered the old fashioned for cocktail and he said it was good. The tacos were good - our favourite was bang bang shrimp. There are so many items to try out on their menu- so will definitely visit again :)

Priya G.

Yelp
I went here for the First time; I would say it'll be my "go-to place ."When we walked in, we sat in the back; and waited almost immediately. The place is cute and tiny, but they also have a lovely patio. They have happy hours, which are 3 pm to 6 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays .wednesday and Sundays are all day. I ordered their queso gringo with chorizo, spicy margarita, street tacos with chicken tinga, bang bang shrimp, buffalo shrimp, taco of the month, Thai curry, and from dessert churros. I only liked the street tacos, which have a flavor to the meat--the bang bang shrimp and buffalo shrimp tacos are the same deep-fried shrimp with different vegetable salads and sauces. Taco of the month is with chicken and has no flavor. I would say their margarita is a and dessert is the best, one of the yummiest churros I have had caramel filling inside and a .side of caramel dip. The ambiance was good tequila selection was over 100 bottles. The decor and service were fantastic. I would go back again to have their desserts.

Rachel C.

Yelp
Such a fun and lively taco lounge! Not only is the food delicious and reasonably priced, the ambiance and photo opportunities are fantastic. I started off lunch with the salsa sampler which comes with three different salsas. I liked all of them but the salsa mesa was my favorite! I made sure to save a little bit for my taco main course. Speaking of tacos, I shared 2 orders of the 3 street taco main course. I did the barbacoa and brisket, but you can totally mix and match! The service was amazing! Our waiter made sure our drinks were constantly topped and helped answer our questions about the menu. Overall, I would definitely recommend this taco lounge especially for an after-work happy hour!

Marie D.

Yelp
Amazing burger, one of the best I've had! Great service! Drinks were awesome! Will be back!

Mike L.

Yelp
We tried this place based on the positive reviews, but I found it to be meh and quite a bit overpriced based on the quality. The atmosphere and service were good. Was right at $100 for 3 people, one entree and one drink each. Most of the dishes do not come with sides (served a la carte, which we didn't opt for). My dish was the quesabirrea tacos, which were very bland and extremely greasy. Would not go back, as there are much better options at this price point.

Joan V.

Yelp
The food is incredible. But the best thing is - we have a gluten allergy and this restaurant actually called us to tell us that one of the items we ordered was not gluten free. They automatically went to the top of our list. Our order was packed well and it was delicious!!

Tiffany H.

Yelp
I've been here a few times before, tacos were just okay, but drinks were better. I won't be back though. My good friend was a member of their tequila club. She was there weekly for probably almost 2 years. I wouldn't have known about them, had it not been for her. Out of the blue, the manager Sam texts her to tell her that her business was no longer wanted at their establishment. No explanation! She bragged about this spot to anyone that would listen and to be treated this way is off putting. This is a disgusting way to treat customers, especially someone that has brought plenty of people to spend money!!! I hope people think twice about patronizing this place.

Frank K.

Yelp
Not your traditional Mexican food ..but it really good!! Bang Bang shrimp and jerk chicken tacos were great .. Happy hour is $5 tacos and reduced drink prices. Extensive Tequila menu!

Cristino A.

Yelp
Food and service was great. Just a little pricier than expected. Tacos were delicious and the queso as well. Bang bang shrimp Taco was the best.

Jules K.

Yelp
Food was really good and the bartender was really sweet and competent. Fast & friendly service and nice atmosphere as well. Also love the music:)

Johnnie J.

Yelp
Food here is on point the service is very attentive, and the atmosphere brings it all together. Met the owner who blessed us with some background about the art which was a bonus for sure. 5 stars hands down, a great experience for a lunch date with my wife

J P.

Yelp
This place is great! Great food... Great drinks... Great service.... We kept ordering different things off the menu and couldn't find anything that didn't impress. Even the gratuitous chips and salsa is amazing. Make sure to order tablitas app. The restaurant vibe is perfect... cool neon art and laid back environment. The only knock I can make... Limited seating could become a wait issue during crowded times. We didn't have to wait... but as a place this good gains popularity, wait times could become issue. But honestly.... I'll grab one of their amazing drinks and wait for food this good! Great job, Chído.

Sara H.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place, it was awesome! The restaurant is really small so be prepared to wait or make reservations if you want to go during busy times. They had all day happy hour the day we went which was great. The queso was good and the bang bang shrimp tacos were amazing! Pricy tacos but they are a good size so worth the money. We are looking forward to going back and trying more things!

Glenn S.

Yelp
We loved our first visit to Chído! The service was fantastic. They were perfectly attentive and quick to fill requests. The food was delicious! The margaritas were amazing! We will be back!

Chase C.

Yelp
Well after the rave reviews about the burgers I tried the $20 burger! It was dry , thick not very "smashed " and the fries were meh, and who doesn't use dill pickles on a burger??? The burger should have been $5 max.

Arpitha B.

Yelp
Ambience in the patio ia great! Service was great! This is a cute taco spot in the suburbs. They have a wide variety of tacos. The jerk chicken tacos were my favorite! The regular chicken tacos were good too. Drinks were amazing too! Definitely check it out!

Aisha C.

Yelp
I've only been for happy hour. Planning to go back soon, to try some of their food selections. The happy hour margaritas were only $5.00. I'll be back soon!!

Leena J.

Yelp
Little secret spot nestled in amongst a few other eateries in Frisco. Cute place with great decor, an impressive wall filled with beautiful bottles of liquid gold. Fantastic warm welcoming faces and energy, clean restrooms and a great menu with lots of variety and interesting offerings. Alicia was amazing! She was so friendly, very attentive and just made our whole experience simply delightful. She had great recommendations! The shrimp and fish tacos were plentiful, looked fresh and had a great presentation the quesabirria tacos were tasty but needed an accompaniment to really spiff it up. Looked a little plain- could use a side of veggies or beans and rice. A little pricey for two tacos and consume- We loved the chips, hot, fresh, crispy and delicious. The salsa sampler- oh yahhhh...yummmmmms! We also had dessert - churro heaven, $14, but still a nice treat. Ask about the Carmel sauce if you don't like goat milk- We owe our amazing experience to Alicia! It was wonderful!

Julian S.

Yelp
OMG people you NEED to come here if you are a taco aficionado because I'm telling you Chido is the best taco spot in DFW. Come one come all and treat yourself to this amazing taco lounge. The service is impeccable and the the ambiance has got a major vibe. Oww ya they have like 200 tequila's.
