"Sure, there are loads of breakfast tacos available on the brunch menu here, but one can also order the avocado tostada, Nutella-filled churro donut holes, and breakfast nachos. For more indulgent takes on brunch classics, try the banana bacon pancakes or birria stacked enchiladas. During brunch, mimosas run a cool $4 each. This fast casual spot is come as you are." - Courtney E. Smith

We first heard of Chido Tacos on Instagram, so we decided to check it out as we were in the mood for Mexican. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Right when you walk in, you’ll notice some cool merchandise for sale. We went on a Friday night and they had a DJ playing some great tunes, setting the perfect vibe. The team there welcomed us with big smiles and were super friendly. They even asked about our alcohol preferences because they have a nice selection of tequilas. You can order food directly from the waiter or simply scan the QR code and do it online. We went with a selection of tacos, each costing $7, which is pretty pricey for a taco. Our favorite tacos were the bang bang shrimp and the Korean BBQ. The steak taco was pretty average—just steak and caramelized onions for $7. The margaritas were delicious and well-prepared. Overall, it was a nice experience. I’d come back again, maybe just for a drink since the food is a bit overpriced for what it is.

Greeted and told to sit anywhere. Ordered, the wait wasn’t long. We got the birria burger w/ fries and the brunch burger w/ hash browns. Tasty, only downside is the brunch burger comes with a runny egg 🥴I wish they asked how I wanted it cooked.

This place is awesome great atmosphere friendly bartender. Joshua was really great. Really enjoyed our time there. I told my buddy I wanted to go get tacos and ended up getting a burger there but both the burger and the street tacos were amazing.

Google
Awesome spot with awesome people, we frequent the Frisco location all the time. Their Birria is amazing and their drinks are just as good! If you’re looking for a new place to go to for delicious food, look no further!!

Google
Super cute place, first time there, went with family and friends, for a birthday dinner for my nephew on Saturday 6/22/2023. Food was great, drinks were better. Thanks to all the staff for making this a great experience for us all. We will definitely be coming back again.

Google
This place was amazing!! The bartender was friendly and was fun to interact with. The manager Josh is extremely knowledgeable and really wanted to ensure we were having a great time! The chef even came by to check on how the food was and really wanted to make sure we were taken care of. We had some amazing cocktails the Tequila Smash is delicious we also had a tequila old fashioned flight really enjoyed the different flavors really a fun take on an old fashioned. We had street tacos and bang bang shrimp taco that will definitely have us coming back for more! You can tell they want to make sure you have an amazing experience! Love this place will be back!

Google
This is one of the most unique Mexican restaurants in Dallas with food and drinks that are unlike the traditional TexMex offerings of other restaurants. But what really sets this restaurant apart is the upstairs bar. Beautiful decor and a true mixologist that creates some of the most unique Tequila cocktails you will ever have. Highly recommend!!!

Google
Food was really good, serving sizes were a little questionable, atmosphere was nice. 🫡 Wish the tables were a little bigger, they make a 2 person table seat 4, made it difficult for us to eat without clashing elbows and touching each others drinks. 🤣 Overall it would be a nice place for a small date, not the place to bring the boys for beers and the game though. 🫡

Yelp
We enjoyed our lunch at Chido's. We tried the jerk chicken taco, bang bang shrimp, avocado tostada and French fries. Everything was very good! Very inviting space and cool art. Service from Jovanny was excellent.

Yelp
Stopped in looking to have a couple of drinks for our casual date night (2 of us). It was very chilly outside which may have kept the crowd away. There were about 8 patrons in total after we had been there about 35-40 minutes. The service from the bartender/server was good, friendly. We had 3 tacos- steak, jerk chicken and gringo (beef). Also had 3 shots of tequila each (the last 2 shots were on the house so we could try a brand they were promoting) and a beer. The shots were regular size and were $21 and $32 each. We spent $178 with tip. Even though there weren't a lot of folks there, we enjoyed the vibe. We would go back for the food.

Yelp
This review is about the upstairs bar @ chido and not chido itself. Service was excellent! Expansive and interesting agave menu and fair prices for a restaurant. The cocktails, while innovative and interesting kind of missed the mark. The made mole was very good. The daquiri was so far from a daquiri that maybe calling it something else would have been a better move. The margarita was the same. It is a fine cocktail, but so different from a margarita that it was not my favorite. I think while trying to clarify the drinks and add other flavors too much was done.

Yelp
Went here with a few friends for brunch and wasn't overly impressed by anything. The place was fairly small and empty when we arrived. There was about 6-8 of us so we were sat at a long table. It was seemingly only one server who was running around. He did a great job so kudos to him. The food was okay, the menu was limited. I got this crunch wrap as my item. It was good, but nothing over the top flavor wise. I had to add the flavor using hot sauce. The drinks were solid. The queso fries with the brisket I think it was, now that was delicious. Maybe I should've tried something else, but to me it wasn't a place that stood out for me to run back to soon.

Yelp
This is where cinco taco used to be- and it's filled some pretty big shoes! The food is delish and drinks are top notch! We dined off the breakfast menu, kids enjoyed their food, and we enjoyed mimosas and a mangonada. And the hashbrowns are to die for! And the breakfast crunch wrap was killer! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is due to the waiter. He threw off the experience a bit by giving us surprising reactions when we ordered certain items off the menu- like "Oh wow... okay." And then we had to ask multiple times for straws or napkins or another order of drinks.

Yelp
I came to Chido Tacos and Tequila...........for the TEQUILA! For those who do not know, upstairs is a tequila bar/speakeasy situation....and it's noiiiiice :-) my review is based on my experience upstairs at Customs Agave Lounge! I'm not sure if there's an elevator (option wasn't given) but to get to Customs, you'll go to the back of Chido's and then upstairs. The ambiance is dark and intimate, I loved it. There's booth seating, a few tables and bar seating available. No one discussed it with me but there looked to be a membership that allowed you access to special deals/tastings/benefits for Customs specifically (not sure if Chido offers and benefits to Customs members). There's an expansive menu of tequila offerings, flights and tastings. I was solo so I opted for a drink and not a tasting (drink responsibly folks). I opted for a NY Sour....with tequila. Let me tell you, this drink was AMAZING. There was a raspberry foam topper....that just married so perfectly with the tequila sour. I immediately fell in love. It was SO good. So. Good. SO. GOOD. The food menu is limited upstairs, however they do allow you to order items from Chido if you like. I honestly don't remember everything I ordered, I do remember the elotes....which I did enjoy! Service was great. It wasn't too busy with only one bartender/server and I was okay with the speed and attentiveness. No issues there. I definitely plan to come back and try out the tequila tasting!

Yelp
Went to chido for a private event with friends and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food! The San Antonio nacho is more like a tostada but delicious. The tacos are not your typical taqueria street tacos but you can tell they use good ingredients because the tortilla was delicious. The taco gringos reminded me of a more elevated soft taco from Taco Bell. The churro came with a side of chocolate sauce, which is what I experienced when I went to Spain. Would definitely go back to try other dishes on their menu!

Clayton H.

Yelp
This place was awesome. You start off by being welcomed by a great staff. The restaurant is filled with beautiful works of art that really give off that "authentic" Hispanic vibe. The food is to die for. They have a wide variety of tacos. I went for the Jerk chicken and the Korean BBQ chicken. Both were fantastic and the toppings were extremely fresh. Now, I am not one to drink, but if you chose to, they have one of the best tequila bars I've seen since being in Mexico. They also have some nice beers on tap. 10/10 (Oh and don't skip out on the queso dip!)

Yelp
We had an amazing experience at Chido Taco Lounge during their Sunday ALL day Happy Hour! From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. Our server, Andre, deserves a huge shoutout for making our visit unforgettable--he even crafted the best margarita I've had all trip, and trust me, we've had quite a few! We kicked off with Tablitas and creamy queso, a flawless appetizer combo where the short ribs were impeccably marinated. For my main, I couldn't resist the Steak taco with costra--a cheesy lover's dream! Tender, marinated steak, grilled onions, and that griddled cheese wrapping--it was absolute perfection. My friend opted for the Birria burger, and wow, it was massive and bursting with flavor. Chido truly knows how to impress with their creative twists on classic dishes. The ambiance was lively, the service impeccable, and the food outstanding. I can't wait to return for another memorable dining experience!

Yelp
New expansion in Dallas - same great food, drink & service as we've come to expect in Frisco. OBSESSED with the art and the Customs bar... This is your spot if you're an agave nerd! My go tos are tablitas, street tacos and usually the cocktail of the month...then a pour of tasty añejo to wrap things up. (Or you can splurge and have a churro sundae ...madre de dios...que rico!)

Beeeen S.

Yelp
Service is very professional and the food quality is good. But it is terribly overpriced for what you get. You expect to to pay a little more given the location, but seriously...the tacos were SO small with minimal meat, it was almost laughable. Meat the size of a lime slice for $4 each just isn't worth it.

Yelp
Walked in and it smelled like a toilet. Ordered a beer and margarita, and it took 15 mins and He forgot the beer. Ordered nachos for an appetizer and 2 entrees. I've had better nachos at a baseball game. It was taking forever for the entree, so when I asked he said he forgot to put the order in. Don't waste your time here.

Tasha J.

Yelp
Food was wrong and Lukewarm Server didn't write down anything and THEN got the order wrong 0/10 would never recommend to any friends

Juan C.

Yelp
Went here for a guys night out with friends. Top notch for small plate food options that taste great and are well done. Tequila choice is the number 1 reason to visit their location but you'll enjoy the service, ambiance and food as well. Got a chance to visit their members only tequila bar upstairs and enjoyed some custom flights on tequilas that are hard to find on store shelves.

Trisha M.

Yelp
We were excited to try this new spot but it only served up disappointment. First off, it seemed like they were understaffed as service was beyond slow for a Friday night that they weren't too busy on. We were recommended the San Antonio nachos and pictured normal nachos being chips, toppings, salsa/guac/sour cream. This was not the case. Essentially it was a tostado. 3 big chips with beans, cheese and 3 pieces of shrimp and no sauce. A warning about this would've been nice which they admitted they should tell you. Next off, tacos, awful. Street tacos are very bland, and the other order of tacos came out cold with pieces of hard rice (aka not cooked). When we spoke to the server and then the manager, it did not seem like this place has any accountability. The table next to us were also shocked at our food and service as well. They also had a 20+ min wait on getting their guac which the server said they must've forgotten about it. Having heard that, I told the manager my tacos were maybe forgotten since they were so cold. He adamantly said they don't forget things which made me appalled after it was admitted to the next table by the server. In the end, they in their words, "making tacos for white ppl". Okaaaay. Regardless, they can still be good. Without realizing it, the manager did give us churros on the house which was unfortunate that he did not ask if we wanted that or had a preference on dessert bc my friend and I both cannot do cajeta so that was sadly a waste. I can't say I'll be back since food was awful as was the ranch water. Lack of accountability or even trying to correct a situation is a turn off. At least the marg was good.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to relax and enjoy great tequila! My girl Vanessa greats me with love and peace every single time!! The atmosphere is so welcoming..

Lakeisha R.

Yelp
The customer service was excellent, but the food didn't meet my expectations. It wasn't terrible, just not what I was looking for.

Heather H.

Yelp
We are long time Chido fans due to their original location in Frisco. The attention to flavors across their food AND bar menu is award winning and appreciated by regulars across DFW. We and other friends have also used their catering services and received nothing but praise! We were invited to their soft opening ( delayed post...open now though ) and, to no surprise, looooved every special touch and taste from the new location! The OG DNA of Chido is seen throughout the Preston Hollow Village location, PLUS special new touches...did someone say hidden tequila club !? The attention and care put towards a special flavor experience is seen at the bar...the drinks and service are both spectacular...rare these days too!! Highly recommend any of the tacos but our faves are the shrimp and steak street tacos. The burger is also extremely good...settle down, I say with confidence because it's a multi-award winning burger, so try it!

Sabrina C.

Yelp
The atmosphere was nice and clean. We found this place on Google and gave it a try. The service was great and food was good. A bit pricey but I can imagine how much it cost to rent it here since it's a nice location. We had tacos and salad and it was good. The chips and queso so delicious! Would recommend the salsa be a bit spicier but it was good. Their spiciest tasted more mild than hot. Their margaritas were on point. Glad we found the spot!

Kaitlyn H.

Yelp
We live in the area and had to give this new spot a try. Unfortunately, we would probably only come back for an appetizer and the spicy marg. My husband had the taco salad and felt there was too much dressing on it so we suggest ordering it on the side. I ordered the barbacoa street tacos, and felt the meat was too mushy/soupy. Our waiter was very friendly but floated around the table a lot making our meal a little distracting.

Ted K.

Yelp
Amazing food, drinks, service, and ambiance. Sunday happy hour is great! 10/10 would recommend.

Zipporah J.

Yelp
Super nice server (his name was Nathan, dope guy), great food, and it's a little pricey but in my opinion, worth it.

Alex D.

Yelp
I went here with some friends one Wednesday night. There is a parking garage close by as the street parking is slim. The artwork inside was very cool. I started off with Queso Gringo $8.00 and added chorizo to it. This was very good, nice flavor that paired well with their chips. I ordered 3 a la carte tacos (Korean BBQ $7.00, Fried Fish $7.00 and Bang Bang Shrimp $7.00). I thought they all were good taste wise. The Korean BBQ taco was a little messy with the liquid that comes out when you bite into it but it was very flavorful. The Fried Fish taco was just okay, good crispy breading but just lacked overall flavor. The Bang Bang Shrimp was also okay, it had good crisp Shrimp but the Bang Bang sauce was lacking in flavor. For the size and price of each individual taco, I am not sure I like the value. Wish they had a lower cost pick 2 or 3 taco option. The taste was good on pretty much everything but the value for the cost is a miss for me. I would go back but probably wouldn't get the tacos again just because the value.

Brandy C.

Yelp
it was my first time stopping by and i had no idea what to order. Ian was great in helping me pick what to order and sharing recommendations. 10/10 would come again!!

Emilio M.

Yelp
We came in for some margaritas and appetizers. Everything was great 10/10. Ian was awesome and super attentive. Will definitely return again.

Nicole T.

Yelp

Lucas P.

Yelp
Great prices, good food, ton of variety. Definitely coming back and will be recommending to others.

Bella M.

Yelp
I was out of town visiting some friends and they recommended this place. Ian was our server and he was fantastic. He met all the needs we had. He was very attentive and helpful when recommending things from the menu. Definitely made a great friend there and highly recommend the food and drinks thanks to Ian!

Coco K.

Yelp
1000% coming back. Ian was our fantastic bartender, very kind, quick and attentive. Food 15/10 I swear! Birria tacos were THHHIIIICCCK and the consume chefs kiss. I ate them and realized I didn't take a picture! The vibe is wonderful as is the playlist and art on the walls. I'm your new Sunday regular! Thank you!

Lou C.

Yelp
Love this spot, I come here often since it open. Food is great, the Bang Bang Shrimp taco is . Best of all is the bartender Dior, great guy! He was extremely welcoming on my first day and made me feel like a regular. Definitely spot by for happy hour and a great convo with Dior!

Perla B.

Yelp
My husband had a procedure across the street so I had to find something to do with our six year old for a few hours. Great location, feels super safe. Their staff welcomed us in early and the chips & salsa were awesome. I'm Mexican and super picky with salsa, they passed the vibe check. Also had the street corn appetizer, tasted great just needs a little bit of lime and chile on the side to each persons preference. Kids quesadilla was a big portion and came with the best fries. Fried fish taco was delicious and their queso was good. Again, the staff was so patient and went above and beyond to keep my kiddo fed & entertained. Our waiter, Ian was amazing.

Andrew A.

Yelp
Ian definitely helped me figure out what was highly recommended on the menu along with being able to check up on me in a timely manner to make sure I was doing okay. Definitely will be coming back.

Morris R.

Yelp
Always great hamburgers and chicken sandwiches. Pleasant atmosphere and staff is always very accommodating and helpful!

Sherika H.

Yelp
I know they just opened so give them time to work out kinks but the menu looks amazing it's just flavorless. I tried to like it but it was hard because it had no flavor. I hope it gets better.

Robert H.

Yelp
Was at a soft opening last night. This place is going to be a go-to winner. Food is excellent. I particularly enjoyed the steak taco. Simple, yet with awesome flavors that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Ambiance is similar to the Frisco success, which is to say, very enjoyable. We'll definitely be back. Known for the best burger in Dallas (Frisco location), I've no doubt that will be repeated in the new location. Gets our vote!

Amy H.

Yelp
Food is way overpriced for the quality. Atmosphere is not in line with the price point of the menu.

Toney H.

Yelp
Really liked the night service she was understanding of my feelings about my order that was wrong and fixed it with no hesitation only thing is the loud door and I couldn't close the female restroom door with people that aren't ordering anything walking in and out privacy thing you know .

Michael V.

Yelp
First time there, ambiance and food was okay, but the service was outstanding, Ian made the experience a 10/10. Will be back as long as Ian is there to entertain us.

Noel N.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of being served by Ian during my recent visit. Ian provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to ensure a delightful dining experience. He recommended a diverse selection of food and drinks, all of which were fantastic. His attentive and friendly demeanor, combined with his knowledge of the menu, made for an enjoyable and memorable meal. Great service, Ian!

Ramon V.

Yelp
dior is hands down best bartender ive ever met takes care of all needs i will be a regular and i live upstairs so 3-5 time a week

Willian M.

Yelp
For a soft opening that I attended, I was more than pleasantly surprised. Servers were attentive and pleasant. Kitchen staff was putting out really good food and bar staff was really efficient.

Samuel A.

Yelp
Willing to give this place another try, but they have a lot of room for improvement. I will chalk it up to them having just opened. Starting with what I liked, the bang bang shrimp taco was very good. I also really enjoyed the chips and salsa sampler, the downside being that it was not complementary. The staff was very friendly, minus some slightly slow service, especially since it was not busy. Now with the not-so-favorable, the margarita had far too much agave in it, making it overly sweet. The tacos were overpriced for the portion, especially paying $8 for a steak taco that doesn't come with anything on it. I will give them some slack here, knowing that the commercial rent in this complex is very expensive. The rice in the rice bowl lacked flavor, and left much more to the imagination; it even prompted us to question whether we could've made it at home with more flavor. Overall, willing to try Chido again once they've been open for a couple weeks.
