A wonderful sampling of chihuly's best work. It is intimate, easily accessible, and a treat to enjoy the beauty of his glass work. St. St. Petersburg. Extra bonus the Moran art studio and glass blowing is located half a block away and included in the reasonable entrance fee to the chihuly collection. This 1 hour glass blowing exhibit and wonderful opportunity to purchase local artista' glassworks is a must see. A wonderful way to spend a few hours in downtown St. Petersburg!

One of my favorite museums. Love all the glass. CHIHULy was a genius and shared his talents and coaching. Great place. Takes about 90 minutes to go through.

My wife loves this stuff. I learned and came to appreciate it a bit more. Swwnnit all over in a different settings over the years and this is a well educated event. I suggest you watch the video (which at the end of the exhibit) first cause you can them look for pieces that are in the museum. The companion glassblowing demonstration was well done. Enjoyed that a lot. That's in the hour for about 20 minutes and is included in the price for admission.

If you get the chance to visit it is well worth it. Not recommended for children. Far to many very expensive items that could be damaged. So many beautiful works of art. They offer an audio tour using your phone I would recommend you bring your earbuds.

The Chihuly Collection was definitely worth seeing! Went there with my coworker friends and it did not disappoint. The art is very eye catching. The place is clean and staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. I highly recommend you stop here as part of your sight seeing adventure if you're from out of town. It's enjoyable if you're a local like me too! Warning: Not for little hands or impulsive wanderers unless you want to pay heavily for broken things you can't take home. Also space is wheel chair friendly and parking was simple.

Beautiful collection of unique artworks. Scale of museum was perfect. Accidently watched film first, then saw the live demonstration, and then exhibition. We appreciated the background from the film while we learned more. The live demonstration really helped understand how much time and expertise are involved in creating the art.

First time visitor and I loved it. We bought our tickets on-line and when we arrived, it was almost time for the live glass blowing demonstration which is held right across the street. There is a nice gift shop and then you go to another room for the demonstration. I LOVED it. I was amazed at the amount of work that goes into making one vase. The glass blower was great as was the woman who explained everything. Highly recommend this part of your ticket price. We went back to the museum and viewed the various pieces. They were amazing! I had thought it would be a bit larger, but I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

We didn't have time to go into the museum but we stopped into the front of it which has a great little gift shop. And a few pieces that you are allowed to take pictures and look at. The cost to get in is $20 but on Tuesdays you can get in cheaper. I'd like to spend a whole week in St Pete so much to do. Parking is a little bit of a hassle but as long as you pay the meter you're fine.

We stopped in briefly while shopping in the St. Pete downtown area. I would have loved to view the entire collection; however, we had a lot to do in one afternoon before going to a concert, so we just popped in to the gift shop for a look around. The staff were friendly and had no problem with me taking some photos. I always loved Chihuly's glasswork. I used to work in a house many moons ago where the owner had one of Chihuly's large chandeliers, it was orange, red, and yellow. The curator at the museum informed me that the one I described was probably worth $230,000-$300,000, wow! All I can say is that I would hate to be the one that has to dust these things with all their curves, twists, and turns, Crazy! From what I heard this is not a very large museum when compared to the Imagine Museum nearby. Regardless, it's definitely an awe-inspiring stop if you appreciate beautiful and unique glasswork. Adult tickets here are $20, Senior and Military $18, Students $14, and children 5 years and under are free.

When searching for things to do around here. This came up. It looked interesting to me. The glass works are pretty well known around. I had seen it around back home and liked the work. If you like art. I recommend this gallery. The glass works were beautiful. I bought a ticket at the gallery and to my surprise. They were having a glass-bowing demonstration nearby in a few minutes. The employees gave me directions. It was easy to find. The way had signs pointing the way. I found myself in a glass store with a studio next to it. The store had so many glass works. All types of glass figures big and small. Everything here is so colorful and beautiful. The price ranged from high to low. The staff here was very helpful. The glass-blowing studio was hot. The fan was on but it was one hot area. I found it entertaining. I have seen glass blowing before however I actually learned something in this class.

The audio tour was great and really helped the experience. I thought the display started out a bit slow, but after a room or two it was way more exciting. There were lots of cool pieces and the staff was friendly. Liked the red chandelier and the colors used throughout the displays.

The collection is located in a convenient location with many shops and restaurants around it. Street parking is also available nearby. This artist is truly worth seeing. I love Chihuly pieces. His chandeliers and Float Boat are really spectacular. The collection seems on the smaller size, so the price may be a little on the higher end at $20. However, I would pay it again. I appreciate the ability to get so up close and personal to the pieces that you are unable to do at many art museums. Your ticket also includes a glass blowing demo at the Morean Art Center across the street. I highly recommend checking it out. They make a piece during the demo and explain the whole process. You definitely don't want to miss it. If you enjoy glass blown art, I highly recommend visiting the Chihuly Collection if you're in St. Pete!

$20 gets you in to see a medium sized collection of his work. Ask when you get there if a docent will do a tour anytime soon. I got notice of the tour almost as I was leaving, and went back and she did a fabulous job talking of him, the pieces and the process. While they do have an audio tour (access through a QR code), I couldn't get it to launch so that was worthless for me. So glad I went. Also take advantage of the glass blowing exhibition down the street. A great bonus!

The Chihuly Collection in Saint Petersburg, Florida, is a fantastic indoor activity, especially on those scorching hot days! The art pieces are absolutely stunning, and I even ended up buying a beautiful vase. The staff is friendly and welcoming. My only wish is that the exhibit were a bit larger to enjoy even more of the incredible artwork. Highly recommend visiting!

This was my 2nd time here, I love the collection. I first visited 5 years ago and thought the museum had more glass pieces by Chihuly. My favorite pieces are the chandeliers. The exhibit includes a 20 minute movie about the artist. Admission includes access to the Morean art center which has glass blowing demos several times a day. They also sell their artists glass works. Free street parking is available infront. Just wish they had more pieces of his works on display.

We love this museum. It is not that big but very enjoyable when you are finished go to the hot shop around the corner to watch glass blowing

What an awe inspiring place. I can't get over the talent and vision that this amazing artist has. I want to make sure I come here each time I visit the area now. The coolest part was that our ticket got us in to see a glass blowing seminar and the hosts did an excellent job at presenting and explaining each step of the process plus the history. They were even great at answering audience random questions

Spectacular. Beautiful pieces from different periods of his career. Great film: don't skip this!! It's a quickie museum tour, walk slowwwly, however QUITE rewarding.

Small collection but definitely worth a stop in if you're in the area. We found street parking a few blocks away that was free for a few hours. The glass blowing demonstration adds some extra value to the ticket, which seemed a little steep in price for such a small collection. However, it's definitely all beautiful and worth seeing and the docent who was there when we visited was very helpful and kind. There's a small gift shop both at the museum and at the glass blowing studio, mostly featuring works by local artists and some works inspired by Chihuly. An interesting fact I learned is that most of his more recent works are actually done in collaboration with a team of artists. This museum only has a couple of his truly original works. Don't plan to make a day of it here, but well worth a few hours of your time. We arrived at 3pm, did the last glass blowing demo of the day and wrapped up when it closed at 5.

Glass to the Max, one of the best museum experiences that I ever had, the exhibits are beautiful beyond beliefs. The artistic, and craftmanship that is needed to make each piece is awe inspiring, Dale Chihuly is the main artist, but there are also other glass artists included in the collection. Some of the pieces were so beautiful that I had to go back a few times to really appreciate these truly awesome creations. Your admission ticket also entitles you to visit the Morean Arts Center, the Morean Glass Studio, and the Morean Center for Clay.

If you love Chihuly, this is a great Museum, albeit small. I thought it was totally worth it even if you get through it pretty quickly. Wonderful!

What a great exploration of art. You walk at your own pace. You take in each piece in. Take as many pictures as you would like, they encourage it!! There are strategic places where you can sit and enjoy the artwork. "NO TOUCHING" There is a short film you can watch about how this artwork comes to life. And you can join a glass blowing class to observe beauty in transition. There is a special display room of art created by children. It is absolutely out of the box. They take everyday items and they make something new with it. There is also a shopping area at the beginning or the end depending on when you would like to look the proceeds help children in the arts Great experience glass art

I have been a fan of Dale Chihuly's glass art for decades now and was really happy to find this gallery in St. Pete. The collection is smaller than what I was expecting, but having this location is still a real treat. Unfortunately, I did not make it to the glass studio to catch a demonstration, which is included in the ticket price for the gallery. If you've not had the opportunity to see a documentary about Dale Chihuly, the gallery plays a recording about him at the end of the tour. The collection shows a lot of color and the softness of the objects themselves. I recommend a quick visit here and hopefully, you can either venture across the street to see more art or catch a demonstration at the glass studio on 1st Ave.

Dale Chihuly is a legend. Some artists are just elite in their own rights. Chihuly is one of these when it comes to glass art, holy cow. I absolutely love seeing Chihuly art in museums, so there being a whole collection of just his art in St. Pete is fated destiny (double duty, I know). It's pretty much as awesome as you'd imagine, though it's definitely a smaller exhibit which is the only disappointing part. You'd really have to drag out the better part of an hour to make it a long visit. But the pieces that are included here are still well worth seeing, and the admission is cheaper than a lot of the museums nearby. Plus, you don't usually have to reserve a time slot really ahead of time. There's also another fun addition to admission to the collection: you can go across the street to the Morean Arts Center and watch a free glass glowing demo!! Tom, who was working the collection when we went told us all about it and was so awesome. Watching glass blowers craft their work right in front of your eyes is such a neat and unusual experience. The Chihuly exhibit is a magical, colorful walk of brilliance. It makes for such a fun mini afternoon!

We had came here a while back and saw the glass blowing but got a raincheck to see the collection. It was a rainy Saturday so we decided to take in some art. Not too busy but there was a crowd. Showed our tickets and went straight in. The exhibits are amazing. So much color. Really enjoyed all of them. Check out the movie on the way out to learn more about Chihuly and how all of this came to be.

There is no negating that this museum is stunning! I absolutely love colored glass and I was mesmerized! I took my mother here for her birthday and she loved it, too. The collection is massive, and I was in awe on the beauty, size, and hard work that it took (there is a video you can watch) for Mr. Chihuly to create these wonders. I wish I could take one home. Speaking of taking one home, there is a gift shop at the end that you can purchase a small piece of colored glass. However, the prices are a bit high. One small red rose bud of glass was $40! The other thing is I wish the walkthrough was bigger. We were in and out of the museum in under 1 hour. Yes, you can stay longer and take even more photos, but we did want to see the live glass blowing demonstration. We ultimately, couldn't stay for the live glass blowing demonstration sadly because it was lunch time and we had other plans that we weren't going to return to St. Pete the same day. The live glass blowing demonstration is almost every hour the same day that is included with your admission ticket. Parking was difficult especially since I had to find a handicap spot.

We visited in February 2024. The exhibit was amazing and very enjoyable. I, too, thought it was small but thought that was just me until I read the reviews here just now where many people thought the exhibit was a bit small. I would still go here though, knowing it's on the small side. We spent maybe 1.5 -2 hours there, resting on the chairs taking it easy and taking photos. We parked less than a block from the museum at a pay meter. There's a coffee shop a door or two away which is convenient if you get there before the museum opens. There are other shops within a 2 block distance, so you can plan to grab something to eat before or after the exhibit. There's a gift shop at the museum, but the glass stuff is too expensive for me. There weren't any crowds so we got to walk at our leisure.

So many visits to St. Pete and I never had a chance to visit this cool place. The 4th of July week was perfect. Very few visitors as they're all on the beach. I love this place!! It reminds me of his Seattle collection. It was a FREE admission with my NARM membership card. They have a video showing you how glass is lown and created. As a plus, you get to see a live glass blowing demonstration across the street at their other location. A must see in St.Pete!!!

Loved a peek of his work. The live demostration was fascinating. It was a wonderful surprise to visit St Petes! there was a lot of construction going on but we can't wait to return to enjoy the face lift!

I finally fulfilled my desire to visit this collection. Glass art has always been one of my preferred expressions of art. This experience I good, but not epic! I went through here in about an hour. This is with pictures, taking my time and seeing some parts twice. The name is synonymous with glass art, so from this perspective I would recommend. However, if you are pressed for time and/or funds, visit the Imagine museum, as it's a much better value and experience.

Glass artwork can be mesmerizing as this Chihuly Collection will show. The craftsmanship and elegance of some of these pieces is mind blowing or should I say glass blowing? Admission is $20, but it also includes entry to the Morean Art Center across the street and a glass blowing demo around the corner at the Morean Glass Studio. A very great deal if you ask me! Dale Chihuly is very well know up in the Seattle, WA area so it's cool that he as an exhibit right in St. Pete. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate the art and especially this one since there aren't many that specializes in glass sculptures.

This was an amazing experience! A beautiful collection. Every piece left me in awe. The ticket also included a demonstration of glass blowing. This was my second time visiting and I will be back!

Fun and interesting glass museum and collection. It was about a 45 minute walk through but they include a glass blowing demo across the street every hour on the hour that was great. I'll post only a few pics so it doesn't spoil it. Worth the $20!

We had intended to visit the Chihuly Collection in St. Petersburg after the Dali Museum, since I had discovered the former's classwork from my girlfriend who is a great admirer. Based on the artbook we have at our house, seeing the collection was an amazing experience. Held permanently at the Morean Arts Center, a few blocks from the center of Downtown St. Petersburg, the Chihuly Collection comprises an impressive collection of glasswork by the artist. Upon buying your ticket ($20 per adult), you pass by the gift shop and front desk into the start of the exhibit through these large heavy doors into a dark hall with black and dark-wooden walls, illuminated by the vibrant colors of Chihuly's glass sculptures. Each room highlights a specific style of an exhibit showcasing the artist's work. If you haven't gone before, whether you're familiar with his work or not, the Chihuly Collection is worth visiting and experiencing.

I have been a huge Chihuly fan for a very long time and finally got over to St. Pete to see the collection. I was pretty excited. The only other place I've seen his work is at the Bellargio Hotel in Vegas or on TV. Cost to get in was $20 for adults and $18 for seniors. not too bad. The pieces on display were beautiful and soooo colorful. it was eye candy for sure. Loved how the rooms were painted black and how the lights shined on the art work, made for very good pictures. This place is small and our walk through maybe took 20 minutes and that's with stopping to take pictures. So we walked through again. That was a bit disappointing to me. I wanted MORE! When we bought our tickets no one told us there was a place you could go to see a glass blowing demonstration. If we had known, we definitely would have gone there as well. Not good on the part of the staff that waited on us. I'm pretty upset about that. So be aware of that if you go. The was a room where they showed a film, but there was a grammar school tour there and they pretty much took up all the space so we didn't get to see that either. I'm still very happy I went but doubt I would ever return. Well, if they changed out the pieces they show, I probably would go back. I just cant get enough of Chihuly!

I knew it was in St. Pete, and I love the glass itself, so I took myself to see the collection. I was NOT upset by this turn of events. It was on a Friday during the afternoon, so it wasn't busy, and I didn't have to share much of my time with anyone else. The pieces and the lighting are all fantastic. I loved how the pieces were set up and the stories they told. The large display in the one room was simply so beautifully staged that it was breathtaking. I spent an hour just taking photos of my own. The video of the process and watching them create the pieces was pretty Amazing. I LOVED that. I totally would come back and visit the collection once more.

Glass blowing amazes me- I have been lucky enough to have done it several times and the hard work involved in these enormous and intricate pieces is mind blowing! I did not go watch the live demo- again, I have been glass blowing and have seen demo's at other glass workshops. I especially love the lighting throughout the gallery that accents every curve and color the glowing shadows are almost as beautiful as the pieces themselves! The low light gives you a sense of being alone- mesmerized by the beauty. I was able to get a discount by simply asking- we had 5 instead of the 6 I saw a coupon for, I asked if there were any coupons out there and the lady behind the counter gave me the discount anyway! They are a non-profit, so keep that in mind! The full displayed installations are the highlights of this collection- there are plenty of single pieces too. But the collections of multi piece glassworks are breathtaking. Highly recommend

The Chihuly collection is remarkable. It transports you into an otherworldly experience. There are over 11,000 square feet dedicated to showcasing his unique installations. There's a 30 seat theater that plays an informative film about his work and his legacy. It was very interesting. There's a Chihuly collection store with a lot of cool gifts related to his work. The store also showcases local artists with both handcrafted and specialized products. Along with your admission you also get access to the Morean Glass Studio & Hotshop, the Morean Arts Center, and the Morean Center for Clay. More on my visits to those places later but believe me, it's an awesome deal! My favorite installation is Chihuly's Macchia Forest. Walking through this installation felt like being transformed to the fictitious land of Pandora. I could come to this Museum over and over again and never get bored.

A stunning, but small collection from Dale Chihuly. A ticket will cost you $20 but it's also good for a glassblowing demonstration. We didn't know that and we were going there on our last day in the area, but that's on us. If you're traveling in, highly recommend having other items on the itinerary, since you can easily go through the museum in 30 minutes. There is a movie on a loop that is about 60 minutes. We watched for about 10 minutes and learned quite a bit in that short time. The lighting complements the pieces perfectly. Some of the pieces are breathtaking. Overall, a great experience, only wish that there was more to see. There's lots of restaurants and cafes nearby to have a meal before or after your visit.

Spectacular spectacular collection of Chihuly glass all together in one place. We've seen it in Toronto, the Bronx botanical gardens, Rhode Island Design Museum, PalmBeach .... his art never disappoints!! An incredible amount of glass together in one place like we've never seen before. The video narrated by Chihuly was interesting. But I think at this point we've seen it all and don't need to come back Our tickets got us entry to the Glassblowing studio across the street with demonstrations. Admission was $20 for adults and veterans children students and seniors were all discounted.

Love Chihuly, love his art and love the emotion it evokes. The museum consists of a series of rooms that are painted dark, so all the light (and attention) is on his amazing glass installations. They are breathtaking and since many of them are held up on the ceiling, you'll be able to get very close to them. There's also a documentary at the end that you could spend a good hour watching. I was also able to go to the glass-making show which is included in your ticket. It's a short walk away. They have shows on the hour, and i think it's a must if you've never seen how glass is made before. I came here as part of the Tampa City Pass, which includes admission to Busch Gardens, Tampa Zoo and The Florida aquarium. I think the individual admission price for the Chihuly museum is quite steep just because the museum is not very big. It takes about 10-15 min to walk through-maybe more if you REALLY take your time!

One of the most beautiful collection of blown glass in the country. Lucky to have a piece

I had some time to spend in the Clearwater area while my husband was in meetings, so decided to drive to St. Petersburg and check this out. One of my sisters loves Chihuly and she had been to this with her husband and said how much she liked it. His work is really incredible! The colors that are used are so vibrant and the details are simply amazing. The museum has rooms of his work and there is a small movie type room that has a documentary of his history. My biggest complaint would be the price. The tickets are $19.95 for a self guided tour that takes 30 minutes at most. They offer you access to another venue, but I did not take advantage of that. The young lady at the desk was not super friendly and basically just gave you her script. I think I would prefer to see his work in another setting, if given a choice.

Small little exhibit but beautiful! Will say, however, as much as I love the arts and want to support the art scene -- the student discount only bringing the price down to $14 is criminal. It is a very small museum and that's ridiculous. However, great vibes, beautiful art obviously. I would just say for $14-$20, not really worth it.

Colors...variety...drama...beauty...uniqueness...awesome. Some of the words that come to mind when looking at the Chihuly Collection...WOW! Just WOW! The 2 hour drive from Ocala and the $18 admission price for seniors was worth it to see the incredible talent of Dale Chihuly displayed in each room. Each and every room was a photo op which added to the allure. Ashton, who was at the inside counter, was helpful, polite and informative when we entered and helpful again after the self guided tour ended in the gift shop. We bought a pottery vase made by a local vendor (DMW pottery studio) It enhances the décor of our home...love it.

One of my favorite galleries! I have been to both locations (original and current) and just love it. Though I do have to say I think the admission price is higher than it should be for a gallery that doesn't change out the exhibits too often but the artwork there just keeps me in awe every time I see it so every couple of years is fine by me and has enough changes to keep me coming back! Worth the price for a first timer for sure, the work is amazing and take the time to watch the on going movie... you get to see and learn a lot from it.

It's a lovely Chihuly collection but it's tiny. It costs $20 to enter and takes approximately 20 minutes (at a slow pace with my elderly parents) to complete. So, one is essentially paying $1/minute to view the small, but impressive, collection.

One of my best friends is an art teacher and she came down from Maryland to visit me for a few days. She suggested that we check out the Chihuly because she was a big fan of his artwork. Once we got there, I could see why she loved his art so much. It is vibrant, bold, and colorful. Every piece tells a story. The exhibition was very well planned and thought out. We visited Chihuly on a long weekend trip to the Saint Petersburg area at the end of May. Admission may seem a little high, but if you go to this museum and the glass blowing demo across the street it is a good value for the money. I think the glass blowing demo lasted around 40 minutes, just incase you want to budget your time out for the day. Parking was a bit of a pain around here, but we did find a 3 hour free spot about a 5 minute walk from here on the Saturday when we visited. There were a fair amount of spots on the weekend, but many of them had various time limitations. I'm not super into art museums, but I really did love this place. The bright colors and funky art really catch my eye. It has a similar vibe to the Broad in Los Angeles, it's definitely fun art. I love places like the Met in NYC since it is huge and diverse, but some art museums honestly bore me. The art pieces themselves are so unique and something you don't see all the time. Just looking at the art amazed me and brought a smile to my face. I would love to see more Chihuly exhibits if I travel to other parts of the USA where he has other galleries or exhibits. I take a fair amount of photos, but it only took us about 45 minutes to get through here. We came on a Saturday morning right when it opened and we had most of the place to ourselves. It's probably much more enjoyable without the crowds. A word on bringing very young children to this museum... I wouldn't! I'm not a parent, but I can't imagine taking a kid here who isn't well behaved and at least 10. The glass is bright and colorful, I can see how it would be very tempting to them and would make them want to touch the delicate works of art. If you can, you may want to poke around outside the museum. There was a cool artsy community vibe in the vicinity of this building, I almost forgot I was in the south. It was more like something I would expect to see in Burlington, VT. Take some time to check out the cool wall murals if you can. If I get back up here, I want to see more of the murals. The Saint Petersburg area is such a nice little FL gem, be sure to check out the downtown near the waterfront since it's not TOO far from here. I was amazed by how friendly and polite people are in this part of FL.

Dale's work is great but this museum for the price is underwhelming. I have been to the much bigger version in Seattle and that is really a stunner and worth the price of admission. The plus with this one is that you get admission to the hot glass show a block away and that was very entertaining especially when they almost made it to the end when the piece broke! Exciting! The glass show crew was fun and a great example of teamwork. Though I don't know how OSHA doesn't crack down on them!

Not as big as the one in Seatlle but beautiful. The artwork is stunning. Advise to take time to view the details. Price was higher than expected but I guess OK to support the gallery. Price includes admission to see a hot glass show but times for this is limited and we missed it because we went by the time the museum opened and first demo is at noon.

This was so amazing and breathtaking. I really enjoyed the displays and film. It was so interesting. It was a fantastic experience
