This is one of those unassuming, tucked-away soba restaurants that feels so Kyoto! They keep it simple, serving only cold or warm soba, but they do it perfectly. The noodles come with lots of thinly sliced leeks, tororo, wasabi, and a raw egg. When you mix all the fixings into the sauce, the result is just heavenly.
As a bonus, they serve a large umeboshi (Japanese pickled plum) which was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was such a simple meal, but easily one of the best of this entire trip!
Note: You need to take your shoes off to enter. Also, check their hours carefully; they may close early if they run out of soba.
