The Spring 2018 Restaurant Opening Guide: Boston Proper | Eater Boston

"The acclaimed Jamaica Plain taqueria duo expanded with a third location in Mission Hill (also expanding to Chestnut Hill in 2018), bringing its popular taqueria fare under owner Socrates Abreu to 19 Poplar St. with an early-2018 projected opening." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

I’m starting to think places up here close 30 min before it’s they are supposed to. This place wouldn’t let us eat in the restaurant because he said they were closing in 20 min. So we are eating tacos in the car across the street. This is annoying and I never heard of this before I moved to Boston. Why say you close at 10 but you kick people out the restaurant at 9:40. But at least they didn’t turn the lights out on us like the last place I did a review. That was worst.

The service used to be okay but it isn't anymore. You ask for things like hot sauce and guacamole in your online order. There is like a tiny spot of guacamole (about 1/10th of what you would get at Chipotle) and no hot sauce. It happened to me twice already so it's not a mistake, it's by design. The food? It was never great. It is still isn't. It was convenient. But every time now is a disappointment. And it isn't cheap either. Two burritos with tip will cost you $35-40

The food is actually pretty good. They only have one rice option, which is Mexican. Nice to have fish as a protein. There’s a bit of a language barrier with the staff, so it’s a challenge to get any questions answered. Would be nice if they would give you utensils when you’re taking it to go.

We went to the restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was not good. The food was disappointing — the flavor was not pleasant, and the quality did not match the high price we paid. In addition, the service provided by one of the men was terrible, lacking attention and courtesy. We paid a lot for what was served, and honestly, we expected something much better.

This is a Great Place to get Your Birria Quesa Tacos 🌮😋. Located in Roslindale Village the Store has Indoor Seating and an Outdoor Area for the Summer Weather. The Birria Quesa Tacos were Delicious and Flavorful with the right amount of Spices and cooked to Perfection. They came with a side of Consomme to Dip the Tacos in .🌮😋 The Staff was Friendly and Welcoming . They take Great Pride in Serving some of the Best Birria Quesa Tacos 😋🌮. Louis and the Culinary Team did a Great Job . The Service was Excellent. I Highly Recommend!

Cute little place in Rozzie Square. You order at the counter. Tables and chairs are an eclectic mix like they went to the neighborhood secondhand store. I liked the vibe. Walls were vibrantly decorated. Food was good. My only complaint is that I couldn't see how to lock the bathroom door. Maybe s regular can tell me what i missed!

Had lunch here with my husband and it was delicious! I had a vegetarian burrito that had just the right balance of everything on it. The restaurant is clean, has a pleasant atmosphere, you can have a conversation, and service was good. Will come back. We came back and 4 year old declared: “we should come to this restaurant every day”.

It was pretty quiet, their slightly elevated Mexican fare is pretty tasty, but not generous or particularly authentic. I'm wondering what niche they're looking to fill? Counter service dining with small portions and no cocktails
