LOVE CHILANGOS TACOS!!! Always so delicious!! Today we got carne asada, pastor, and barbacoa tacos and las costras and my stomach and taste buds are so happy!! Good thing it's only Monday so tomorrow is Taco Tuesday so I can come back for more!!

Good portions and customer friendly prices. Fun and simple decor is inviting and upbeat. Staff are very nice and professional. Here is what I ate… Chicken Quesadillas: $4.50 Chicken absolutely delicious and moist, perfectly seasoned, on a 6 inch tortilla. Cheese is a bit thick for me and mostly in the fold, but a good ratio of meet is there too (generous). Score: 8 out of 10 (only because I like less cheese - otherwise it’s a 10/10). Street Tacos: $2.50-$2.75 Only has onions & cilantro. Ask for cheese, and more things if desired. Carne Asada Taco: Wonderful! Moist, perfectly cooked, seasoned great and a different flavor than the chicken. Has a tiny bit of heat. Score: 10 out of 10 Pollo Taco: Same delicious chicken as on the quesadilla, but on a taco version. Delicious!! Score: 10 out of 10 I’LL BE BACK!!

Chilangos Tacos knows how to throw a flavor party—and I’m here for it! The tacos are legit delicious, but every now and then you bite into a surprise guest: a fatty chunk in their asada tacos that nobody invited. It’s like meat roulette… exciting, but slightly chewy. Service? Top-notch. The staff are friendly and get food to you fast. The atmosphere is also on point—cool vibes. I want to give this place 5 stars, I really do—but until the meat stops playing tricks on me, I’m keeping one star in time-out. I still visit often though cause it’s one of the few actual good taco places in Texas.

Daisy and the staff were absolutely amazing! We just got back from our kids soccer game and we were so hungry but it was a lot of us! Almost half the team! Daisy did everything in her power to make space for us and our hungry children! On top of that the food was amazing we ordered more 😉😉

Do you enjoy good tacos as much as I do? I suggest all taco lovers try Chilangos Tacos. I have ordered from both the Harry Hines and Preston Road locations. Chilangos Tacos provided terrific food, service, and a friendly atmosphere. Most importantly, the line up of scrumptious tacos were loaded with supreme flavor. I recommend you try the carne asada taco, birria quesa tacos and consome, and the carna asada quesadilla.

Tried Chilangos Tacos while on vacation in Dallas, and now it’s a must every time I’m in town. Fresh, high-quality ingredients and amazing flavor. The quesabirrias are my absolute favorite—so crispy, cheesy, and full of flavor!

Stopped by for lunch during work and was highly impressed. These are some of the better tacos i've had around town. The sitting area is a little tight and it got quite busy. The service and food was fast and friendly. They only serve tacos and quesadillas however l, no rice or beans. Will return soon.

Best tacos ever! Even after they've traveled an hour via Uber eats! And their green avocado salsa is to die for!!! I always buy extra for later ! I love this place! I haven't tried their new location on Montfort yet because it always looks packed - must be because their tacos are the bomb!

I honestly love their tacos. I've been to their newer location on Preston but I was in this area so I stopped by to grab some tacos to go! The girl with eyeliner (it looked really good btw I hope she knows that haha) at the register was SO nice. I even told her so because she honestly was so kind & excited with every customer. I saw a review of this place that said negative things about her & I literally could not disagree more. That person was probably rude to her because I don't believe them at all-- she was literally the reason why I'm giving this place 5 stars. Having great employees like her is definitely key to getting customers to return. Food was great like always! The restaurant was clean (she even stopped before taking our order to clean the tables since there was a line of people behind us.) Nice to know customer service still exists out there. Thank you!!!!

The REAL deal. This place is always bustling but it never slows down the kitchen! The cooks crank out tacos and quesadillas at a constant rhythm that gets your food out super quick. They have 3 types of salsas at the counter perfectly placed for when you grab your order--I would encourage you try them all! The restaurant is also super clean and has a lively atmosphere. If you are craving some good street tacos, this is a strong option!

The tacos were amazing! They had limited vegan options and definitely good value considering for 3 people we spent under $40 for tacos and dessert for us all. Parking was limited in a plaza but found with ease with the in and out traffic, but back to the food quality. The toppings seemed fresh but the churros wasn't as fresh and seemed as if they had been sitting. Customer service was good and they had sitting for small or large parties but the space was compact with the tables and chairs so close to one another

From the outside it's small but they have a nice sign and window tint that makes it easy to find. The staff was nice, the menu is simple. I ordered the 3 quesabirria tacos (only on weekends) and 2 asada tacos with a Mexican coke. The food was hot, came out quickly and very very tasty! They do wish the quesabirria ones were bigger but that's only because they are so delicious. The QUESO they used inside the quesabirria tacos has a very authentic flavor. I really enjoyed these. The asada was a bit pale, nothing too exciting but the flavor was very good. They don't seem overly generous with the side of salsas BUT they are delicious. I don't typically like salsa roja but this one was flavorful, I just had to. Would recommend this place (: and the wall art was just too cool to look at

Easily one of the best taco places. You can't go wrong with anything here. They marinate and cook their meats so wonderfully! My top 2 tacos are the carne asada and pastor. Their chicken is also really good, it is super flavorful and not dry at all! Every time I come here they're always super busy, but worry not their lines move really quickly. Oh and don't forget to get some churros for a sweet treat!

The service is good as you can get at a taco spot! Order what you want in and out! Food: Birria tacos were good! Good flavor! Way better than a lot of places here in Dallas Barbacoa tacos; were good ! Good flavor ! I would get them again! Al pastor tacos! I did not like! When I order tacos Al pastor I want the meat right off the trompo!! Not cut off the trompo and still cook it ! I saw the trompo there so I thought i would get some good tacos, but nope! Totally disappointed!! The asada tacos were a little over cooked too dry! Now the sad part was I have gone before here and they have a secret menu! If you know what to order! i love mulitas!! Last time i got two! I asked and they said they don't do that! So I don't know if it's because that day there was a lot of people but there was other things they used to do but now it's just tacos!

Just to echo all the other good reviews, Chilangos is amazing! Highly recommend the Barbacoa taco on corn tortilla.

This is a must when visiting Dallas! Good and fast customer service. The food was delicious. Ordered carne asada tacos, al pastor tacos and barbacoa quesadilla. Thought the quesadilla would be bigger, but it came out to be like a taco. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the meat was succulent. Elote was okay. Small dining area. Clean bathroom, but they don't have paper towels or soap available. Plenty of parking.

God, these nachos were so good!! I'm super picky about nachos too because places can rarely make them to where the chips are somehow covered in the right amount of cheese and still have the chips crispy. This place NAILED IT. Queso was good, the two salsas were good, and the meat was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I'd come back to try literally anything and everything after those nachos. Place was clean with ample space, and service was super quick and friendly too. If you're around the area it's definitely worth the visit!

Yum! Just straight up yumminess! The food is fresh--made to order (so don't worry, you WILL be waiting!). I ordered a mushroom taco and chicken taco with a side of elotes. Both tacos were very tasty and flavorful. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, grilled and chopped into small bits and stuffed into what tasted like a fresh corn tortilla (but I'm not sure if in fact it was freshly made). I typically go for elotes from a particular gas station (I know but IYKYK); however, I enjoyed the elote from Chilangos. The elote is made with mayo, cheese, a hint of hot sauce and corn, of course. We went to their newest location. It's clean, decorated with lots of pride and you see your food being prepared through their open kitchen--not to mention the moment you walk into the restaurant, a gust of delightful aromas of Mexican food hits your nose. Staff are friendly and courteous.

Another amazing meal using chilangos! I ordered on the phone with a very sweet lady, she helped me order a whopping 45 tacos and 3 things of Elotes! Total was around 140 without tip ! Picking up was made easy! Every order came with onions and the fixings as well as sauces! This was a total hit for the work lunch!!! So glad I went with chilangos , and ordered ahead!

Why did I wait so long to come here?!? These tacos are great! Stopped in and tried the Carne Asada and Pastor Tacos. Both were uniformly excellent, great meat and on some super tasty tortillas. They have a wicked tasty green sauce on the counter which you need to try for sure. Elotes were the best I have had. Perfectly creamy but still with an acidic kick and the perfect amount of spice. Polished it all off with a delicious Horchata. The staff here was awesome and so friendly, answered all my questions and offered great suggestions. Restaurant was super clean with a good amount of seasoning. If you are a taco fan you need to get in here right away!

A hole in the wall in Northwest Dallas, this counter service restaurant is serving fresh, delicious street tacos that will satisfy both locals and gringos. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars Atmosphere - You'll find Chilangos Tacos in a shopping strip tucked between the many businesses off Harry Hines Blvd. There's Mexican and reggaeton music playing, several red Coca-Cola branded tables and chairs, and a long line of people waiting to order during dinner on a Sunday (long lines = good food). There's also a brightly lit wall of Jarritos that spells out TACOS. 1 Star. Service - Don't worry about the long line, because the friendly staff are fast and efficient. The smiling worker took our order, helped clarify items, and made sure the line kept moving. I gave them my name, and about 5 minutes later my order was ready. The staff are pros. 1 Star. Food - Order your taco "costras" style. They will cook your protein in cheese. All tacos come with your choice of protein, fresh onions, cilantro, and salsa on the side. I ordered a carne asada and barbacoa taco along with a hongos (caramelized mushrooms) quesadilla. The barbacoa was tender, succulent, and beefy. The carne asada was well-seasoned. Served with cilantro and onions, each bite was fresh. But the hongos quesadilla was my favorite. Folded in half and grilled, the well-seasoned, savory mushrooms were nestled between melted cheese and easily stole the show. Bite, chew, wash down with Pineapple Jarritos, and your tummy will be happy. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I forgot to order a churro! Chilangos Tacos is so good and legit, there are also locations in Plano, TX; Nashville, TN; and soon off Ross Ave. in Dallas. Yes, I'll definitely be back. 1 Star.

These are by far my favorite tacos in the states. I have traveled across and tried many taquerias and these have constantly been on my top list. Of course the best tacos I've tried are in Mexico, the homeland, but these are just as close. Every time I am in Dallas I make it a priority to always swing by. The asada meat is so flavorful and not chewy. I love to get my tacos on flour tortillas, but you can do corn and they'll be just as good. I also appreciate how there are different salsas varying on spice level. The customer service is always top tier and I love that they're always playing Mexican music. You also have a view to their kitchen so you can see how they work and everything they do seems so organized. Overall, I've always had positive experiences here each time I travel to DTX.

Ordered with people from work, we all had our own separate order, not a group order. I paid $19 and got two tacos that looked like they had been run over, guacamole and chips. Tacos were not dressed, they sent a container of cilantro onions peppers etc for each person to make their own tacos. I'm sorry but if I'm paying this much for tacos I want them as I ordered, not having to make them myself from a container that 12 other people have picked through. Guacamole was so spicy I couldn't eat it. Tortillas were undercooked and gummy. One of the worst taco experiences I've had in Dallas to date.

I came into Chilangos longing for delicious authentic tacos and so I tried all 6. The only tacos I would not order again would be the carne asada (little dry) and caramelized onions (not bad tasting, but there were just better). The pollo, barbacoa, pastor, and campechano all tasted good. I didn't see the costra option on the menu, but thanks to my fellow Yelpers I know what I'll be getting next time. Yes, it's good enough to go back, but I don't think this will be my "spot". The decor is very cool and the cashier was very kind. For $16 I got 6 tacos. Up to you if you think that's expensive or not...I don't.

So, I have had some good birria tacos before, but I think this is the best I have ever had. Omg, it was so good it literally set the bar for the rest of the food I ate for the day. I came here because a festival was happening later that afternoon so I decided to get a taco while I waited for the event to start. I was with my daughter and my friend, and we decided to get an order of birria tacos and share them. We got the consomme with onion, cilantro, and lime on the side. When I first looked at the tacos, I was a little apprehensive because traditional birria tacos are normally fried closed, and this was not. I put my cilantro, onion, and lime on. I dipped it into the consomme, and when I took a bite, it was a little bit of heaven. The taco had meat stuffed into it and the meat was so tender and flavorful. There was plenty of cheese, and the shell was cooked perfectly. If I had been thinking, I would have gone back and ordered my own tacos so I could eat them later. I can't wait to come back! If you like Birria tacos, this is the place to go.

They can do no wrong! Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Barbacoa are all really delicious. The tacos are simple, traditional, and delicious. Costra is delicious it's a typical taco on a corn or flour tortilla, but they grill cheese and wrap the meat in the cheese before putting it in the taco. Some of the things that stand out to me are the quality and seasoning of the meat, the freshness of the salsa (definitely pack some heat, but not anything crazy). They are simply the best tacos in Dallas and they do tacos so well! The inside has some seating and they keep the dining area clean. The people who work here have always been so nice, but it is not a sit down and be served type of place. I highly recommend giving Chilangos a try, I drive 40min to an hour for these tacos and it's always worthwhile!

The ONLY problem was that I didn't order 4 more tacos to go. This place is not to be played with! Echoing everybody below, the marinating of the meat is top-tier. My 2 favorites were the el pastor and barbacoa. SENSATIONAL! Order some to take home. Don't be like me... sad because I have no more yummy tacos! MY NEW FAV PLACE! Ps: Sis in the front was wonderful and dressed cute as a button. She even let me practice my ordering in Spanish.

It's hard to think of anything less than perfect here - always clean, friendly staff, best birria tacos, and amazing salsa. All for really fair prices. It's worth going out of my way for these tacos!

Went at the peak of dinner time on a Saturday and it was packed! The line moved fast and we got our food pretty quick considering how busy the kitchen was. I definitely recommend the horchata. The tacos were good, the salsas were the best and the corn was traditional. It's got a cute vibe.

This is by far the best Taco spot I have found in the DFW area. First thing to know, expect a line if you are going between 6pm and 8pm. The line does go fast and the service is fantastic. The prices are also great, even after inflation which has increased the prices on the tacos. My favorites are the carne asada quesadillas but everything here taste good so go with your favorite meat and enjoy. Definitely get the elotes as well. I also get a agua de jamaica (Hibiscus drink) whenever it's available. It taste great, is refreshing and is great for your health. The service from the cashier was trash when she gave an attitude to us and acted as if she was better than you. The attitude given to our party is not acceptable and not to mention the carne asada had a lot of fat in the tacos making salsa verde a better option. This is the last time I go here and to make it worse, I couldn't even use my points where the female Latina cashier said I couldn't even redeem my points here but a different location which didn't make sense when our friend used his just the day before we tried. The Latina female cashier with lots of eyeliner should be fired!!

Other than them getting my order wrong every single time I go it is the best tacos I've ever had. Hands down. I absolutely love their barbacoa tacos, mushroom quesadillas, and elote. They never really answer their phone so you're better off just going there and ordering. It usually takes about fifteen minutes for any size order to get made - large or small. The inside is very small and has VERY limited seating so I always to go my order. Parking lot is small and the spaces are even smaller so beware.

The tacos here are definitely good with a generous amount of topping. The barbacoa is notably quite juicy! However, I would recommend against getting the elotes - they taste different than I would expect, including a different sauce/flavor profile altogether, and they are quite sweet.

Hubby was craving tacos after getting out of the hospital so I looked up places close and found this gem. Everything was absolutely delicious. I just wish we lived closer so we could go more often. It's definitely a stop for us when we have his follow up appointments tho!

Love love love Chilangos Tacos! Their tacos are flavorful, salsas are spicy, and the staff is always very kind! The facility is clean and well lit, and I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting looking for authentic tacos! My only con would be that the horchata is definitely made from a mix but you can easily pass on that.

I had the Al pastor and the Asada, they were pretty good. I might circle back eventually but this is definitely a post-bar ol-reliable type spot.

Chilangos truly sets the bar high. My company tried their catering and absolutely will be trying them again. Their bowl and burrito options were both an absolute hit with our warehouse guys. Omg ! The carne asada tacos are amazing! This place is such a hidden gem. I was getting my car serviced in Harry Hines and stumbled upon this place. The service is fast and the food is super fresh. The ambience is very fast paced, but for the price you can not beat it. This place is a must for your taco cravings !

This is a great place to run in and grab some good tacos in the area. They are always busy, produce great food and try to do so fast. Best to place the order ahead. Give the elote a try, be prepared for them to light you up with a healthy splash if sriracha added

Made a quick stop here at chilangos tacos to give these tacos a try. Well to start off it's a small establishment but very well arranged with seating and some nice neon lights. I had 4 Suadero Tacos and 2 Chicken. The tacos are actually really good and made to order with fresh hand made tortillas. Yummm.. before I left I ordered two more Asada tacos which I need to try before I go. Those were also good. Nothing like eating great tacos with a great Jarritos.. The service is great and very polite. I will definitely go back to chilangos tacos. I hope the owners are actually From Mexico DF. That's what they call them when your from the city..

I found these beauties with the help of Yelp of course. They're some of the best authentic tacos I've had in a minute. They also have mushroom tacos for all you vegetarians out there, it's possibly vegan too! Tried these whole visiting family out of town and I'll be back every time. Recommended!

I had a taco craving, so I visited Chilangos for take out on a Friday night. As soon as I walked in the meat aroma told me I was in the right place. I ordered a few different types of tacos and two elote cups. The elote cup can easily feed two people. It's pretty spicy and has a healthy amount of cheese, which I loved. All of their meats are extremely tender and seasoned well. My favorite was the chicken costra taco, all the cheese and the seasoning on the chicken really balanced out. FYI- costra taco can be with any meat and it's a layer of cheese cooked around the meat and they put in a tortilla and dress it with the regular toppings. I haven't lived in Dallas long but I know this has to be one of the best tacos places here.
