"Block out a good chunk of hours for a trip here: Depending on your little one's interests, it's likely that they'll fall into a creative vortex. There's an animation studio, where they can build clay characters and create stop-motion videos; a community lab full of physical puzzles that will enlist all of their different creative problem solving skills; an innovation lab where they get a box of materials and have to invent something specific; a music studio where they can make their own music videos in front of a green screen and edit in GarageBand; and then our favorite, which is a tech lab where young coders learn how to build simple video games."

My kids loved this place (although they love any sort of play/creativity museum). This place is good for younger children (below 6-7) and has a lot of hands on activities. There are 2 floors, and has enough to keep your children entertained for about half a day. The activities ate more geared towards arts/crafts and creativity. IE: Lego building, glue and popsicle stick crafts, painting on walls and floors, etc.

Great place for kids.... preferably btwn 2-9yrs. Loved the meet and greet experience for my little Gabby fan. Be sure to book in advance and reserve a spot for any meet and greet deal. Not bad for the price.

It's very small. This is an ideal place for kids below 10 years. It has Lego animation place where you can create your own Lego creation and do the animation with iPads provided. We can also email our creation. Kids enjoyed this place. The flower creation on the down floor was amazing. We create a flower and that appears on the screen. We can create our music and listen to it. Other scientific things are also amazing for kids. The park also has bowling, carousel, ice skating and kids play area. Some kind of rally was going on when we visited, so we parked 1.5 miles away and walked there. But we can park in near by garages or street parking. It has wheel chair accessibility and bathrooms on each level. The staff are very friendly.

Google
Such a wonderful and fun experience for our kiddos (7,6,&4) on our visit to San Francisco! They completely loved all of the activities. So much variety and so many things to do to get the creative sides of their brains thinking. Staff was just awesome. Kind and friendly and very welcoming! They made it even better. Restrooms were clean as was the rest of the museum. You can tell they take cleanliness seriously. The best part for us was military families get in for free! Never expected but △⃒⃘lways appreciated!

Google
The perfect place to be a kid. The museum has many workshops for children to explore. You can draw, paint, read, build, and create amazing arts and crafts. Maybe one day they will be part of the museum’s collection.

Recommended age group- 2-12 years Ticket Price- $12.95 for adults as well as kids Carousel regular ticket price -$4 per person. Money Saving Tip # 1 - If you have another Bay Area Museum’s yearly membership card, carry it with you. If it falls under their network, you get 50% off on your ticket price for all members. Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose is in their network for sure. That’s the card I used for my discounted tickets. Money Saving Tip # 2- Do not buy the carousel ticket directly outside. Go inside the museum, buy your entry ticket and get $1 off per carousel ticket. Timing: The museum shut at 4 pm on Sunday (when we visited) but the carousel ride shut down at 5 pm. Walking distance from Powell BART station- 6 minutes Creativity and Innovation galore: From making an animation video with our clay and wire models to animating paper cutouts, from solving the mystery box challenge and building something interesting to making robots demolish and draw....we loved it all! Our favorite activity: It was surely the one next to the entrance. We colored and scanned our pictures. They were dropped on to a gigantic screen and came to life. Loved it! This place is full of innovative, interesting and fun activities for parents and kids. Must visit in San Francisco.

Google
Great place for the kiddos and adults that wish to be kids again. This was an attraction that I wanted to take my family to while visiting SF. I was very surprised! The place was very clean and organized. The staff was hands down the best. Every staff member was very helpful, enthusiastic, attentive and catered to the kids in each project room. This place will keep your kids occupied for hours! Even I had fun with projects. Note. At the time of this posting the museum was going through renovation outside which caused for confusion navigating in and out of the establishment. Also, beware of parking, it's very difficult to find reasonable parking. The best place I found was the Moscone parking structure adjacent to the museum with "reasonable" prices and short walking distance. Also, there's a carousel outside the museum that charges extra for rides. *Military families get free admission w/ valid ID. Overall, great place to bring your kids to get their creative juices flowing. Loved this place!

Google
We stumbled upon the museum while looking for things to do on our very last day in San Francisco before flying out in the evening and I’m soo glad we did!! My kids were some of the oldest there and enjoyed all activities geared toward kids above preschool age. There were multiple floors available for exploring with STEAM activities across the board. Huge thank you to the staff who spent over 2 working on a stop-motion Lego video with my daughter - you are a blessing!

Yelp
Another great ASTC reciprocal museum! One of the smaller children's museums we've been to but were delighted to find some things we still have not yet seen. We came by on a Sunday morning and were pleasantly surprised with how uncrowded the place was. The downstairs is full of Duplos, painting, story corner, etc. The upstairs was a bit more geared towards older kids. We loved the various different stations where you could really sit and focus and accomplish something. Our 5 year old (with help) made a "song" at the music station and got to save and e-mail the recording. The Lego stop motion animation area was also fantastic - explained well by the staff and was so easy to do. My little ones delighted at making their own "movie" that they also e-mailed home. Lots of room for creativity here. Even the mini golf area was full of creative supplies to create (and decorate) your own mini golf obstacle and courses.

Yelp
This was our first visit to the Museum and will not be the last. Wow! We took our 3 and 5 year old grandchildren and there was plenty for them to do. I can see them enjoying this Museum for many years to come. Their favorite activities: a) Rube Goldberg white pipe area with the balls. b) Painting anything they wanted to outside in the canvas and fence area. c) Inside drawing and then posting their drawing onto the wall. d) Lego Stop Animation was the highlight of the trip. The two young gentlemen supervising the room did an excellent job giving us a brief explanation of how to create the video and then locating the specific legos the kids wanted to create with. We stayed in this room until we absolutely had to leave. Only because the kids wanted to ride the carousel and it closes at the same time the Museum closes. Suggestion: More trains needed at the train station so all the kids that want to play are able to.

Yelp
Spent a few hours painting and building Lego buildings. We also enjoyed a few of the other areas with books, sensory experiences and even mini golf and a train.

Yelp
It's a great museum with a lot of little stations set up for children to create different projects (make a movie, record a song, hands on projects using a variety of materials to create whatever sparks their imagination and much more). My daughter is just shy of 2 and spent most of the time playing with the legos and train set. We had fun but most of the museum I do feel is geared towards older kids. The lady at the front desk mentioned that to me when we arrived. Note children under 2 are charged the full admission fee of 20 dollars.

Yelp
We came here for the first time with our 4-year-old daughter. I was curious about the museum but had never gotten a chance to visit. We parked in a nearby lot and walked over (5-minute walk). The location is nice because you can ride the carousel (with discounted tickets of $3 if you visit the museum) and go to the nearby park at Yerba Buena Gardens. If you're hungry, there is a pedestrian walkway to access the Metreon. Probably due to Covid, exhibits were spread out and it didn't feel crowded at all. The majority of the activities are open-ended, allowing for creativity and expression. My daughter used loose parts (toilet paper rolls, mesh, rubber bands, wax paper) to make an instrument. They provided similar materials to make something you can put in a wind tunnel and see if it flies. Other areas had trains, large blue foam blocks, Legos, books, music instruments, and Magnatiles. The art area had markers and cards to add to a large mural, and an outdoor area where kids could paint anything they wanted - chairs, doors, pumpkins! This section was really fun. I liked the activities at the museum and my daughter enjoyed it. I think they could add a few more things for kids to do, and I do think the museum is more appropriate for 4+ year olds, rather than toddlers.

Yelp
What a great place for children ages 2-10! Great sensory stations and a focus on STEM. Entry is very affordable and there are stations for children to create art, music, read, animation or just simply play and have fun. The perfect place to take kids on both a nice or cold rainy day. No to mention, is right next to the carousel in Yerba Buena Gardens.

Yelp
Coming from LA, I would compare children's creativity museum to Kidspace. The difference is that this is in SF downtown so it's an indoor space with two floors and they're focus is on hands-on activities, some drawing, music recording, Lego/video production, and some coding. My opinion of kidspace is that it's for younger kids. This place is fun for a slightly older group, maybe preschool to kindergarten, and then again for an older group around 9/10 age where they can join the Lego and coding groups. In terms of price, I think the annual membership is 100% worthwhile if you take advantage of the classes on a weekly basis, utilizing it as an extracurricular. In this way, it's actually more affordable than signing your kid up for coding classes, Lego classes, music classes, or art classes. It does make sense. Having said that, my six year old was in between these age groups and found the museum a little boring. I think she actually enjoys kidspace more because it has more active areas where she can physically move her body as well (something that is important to her). Her favorite activity here was the creativity challenges where kids are given an age appropriate prompt and recycled materials and are asked to design/build/create something. She did that one multiple times. Personally I thought the art area could have had more guidance rather than employees just sitting around on their phones. It could've had more paints, whether finger paints or acrylics or watercolors. They could've been more generous with leaving out sculpting clay and had spaces for paper mache or other fun activities. Just having markers and crayons out was incredibly disappointing for a "creativity museum". I might bring my 8 year old back for the Lego and coding activities but I can't have a place that only caters to one age/gender when I have more than one child to entertain.

Yelp
This place is a LOT of fun for kids! We went there as a group this weekend and the kids in our party had a blast! From lego blocks and train sets to DIY and play with light; the kids loved all the activities. We had varying age groups in the party but the museum is most suited for 4-8 years. The toddlers did enjoy but did not understand 100% of the displays. There are various sections of the museum and one admission ticket lets you navigate through the entire space. Plus, they give a discount at the carousal and that ride is totally worth it! The sections of drawing, writing notes, lego blocks, train sets, fun with light and color, a telephone booth, a see saw, a reading nook and mystery box challenges were the most popular at the museum. $20 per kid is totally worth the experience but they charge the same per adult too. Adults do not have much to do in the museum. It would be a great idea to allow one adult free with a child. The carousal is $5 per person but with an admission to the museum you can get that for $3. Kids below 42 inches height can have a free accompanying adult. The carousal at the museum is amazing and the kiddos did enjoy that a lot. I recommend going early to the museum to get the most of the experience. They have a park adjoining too, and it is pretty amazing. Plus, there are a lot of dining spots around and they are all very nice!

Yelp
Came here with my 5 year old and he absolutely loved it. My son was discovering everything in each room and was very interested to play for a very long time. Moms and dads - if you need a little break from entertaining your kid, come to this place and there is everything for them to entertain themselves. We will be back !

Yelp
My daughter is 6 and is really into arts and crsfts, so this museum was amazing to her. She even said she didn't know it was this kind of museum. She wanted to do every activity and spent a good amount of time doing them. Mystery box was fun and the staff were so friendly. Unfortunately she didnt get to the second floor, but she's already asking to come back. There is also a playground nearby for more fun after the museum closes.

Yelp
My review is based on the earth day festival at the museum. I didn't get a chance to go inside but the event was fun! So many games, activities for kids. A great family fun event! From the create a puppet to the bubbles and the circus. The staff was super friendly and the customer service was awesome. I can't wait to go back and to actually spend time in the museum!

Yelp
We used to come here once a year and love the variety of plays it has. Dress up karaoke, robot coding, sensory clay molding, big blue blocks, magnetic toys, animation, mystery box, just to name a few. With the pandemic, now they only have everything on the ground floor. They got rid of our favorites coding and sensory clay, but added a music synth pod studio. The mystery box remains, so is animation and they added a blue block mini golf area.

Yelp
My older sister, two nieces (4 and 7), and I came to the Children's Creativity Museum on 08/07/21. In San Francisco. I try to be the best Auntie in the World to them and show my darlings wonderful experiences so they can reflect back on to their childhood when they get older and remember they had a variety of experiences from fun to educational hopefully to make them smile when times get hard when they are adults. I planned this event as I don't want my nieces JUST to be in hotel room on tablets. That's not what Vacationing is about in my opinion. I dragged my older sister along as she likes to stay in hotel and do nothing. So from the car ride from the hotel to the Child Museum I made sure it was stellar experience from start to destination. We found parking easily which my nieces cheered me on which was funny. It was a short walk to the place and the girls were already amped up! We were about 30 min early and saw that they had a Carousel and asked an employee where to enter. He informed us that we were early but at the right place. There is a free park on the grounds so we had the kids do what kids do best is PLAY at the their park until it was time to line up. My older niece mom couldn't come so I FaceTime her so she could see her daughter play and I took pictures. The park is amazing. I wanted to play myself but I didn't want to leave my older sister alone so I hung out with her and supervised the older niece to make sure she wasn't doing anything dangerous to hurt herself as she was trying to balance off a cliff like edge -_____- not on my auntie watch! Anywho, the girls loved the park and was bummed out they had to leave and line up but little did they know they were in for a treat! I paid tickets in advance and San Frann still has in place you have to wear your face mask at all times INDOORS, if you need to eat or drink you go outside. Pretty clear instructions. They have so many activity stations to choose from such as writing on walls, music, building things out of legos and making a movie, making something out of materials and challenging kids to be creative, outside games, and so much more! Also, you get a discount on riding the carousel too! You have two to three hours to explore which is more than enough time. We pretty much stayed the whole time and left about 10 minutes early, before our time was up to ride the horses! It is very affordable activity for ALL families. My nieces hugged and thanked me and didn't want to leave which warmed my heart. My older sister raves about this place and was so happy I took them out to explore this place, beats staying in the hotel room all day! I know. We would love to come back. Great for kids of all ages I would say for 12 years old and under. But, as a twenty something adult and thirty something year old - older sister, we probably had more fun than the girls! Staff is very helpful, sweet and thoughtful. They make you feel so welcome and you can see the love and enjoyment they have for kids! We felt completely safe here and it was a blast. Definitely would love to come back as they have more things on their campus to explore like bowling, Theatre and so much more! What a Treat!

Yelp
A must for children of all ages. My 5 & 10 year old had a blast. This place kept them entertained for more than 4 hours. We had to drag them out.

Yelp
This is an amazing place to spend time with the kids. They have tons of activities for the kids to do but more importantly they are all educational and fun at the same time. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I love how their is a playground and play structure right outside the museum. Of course you have to do the merry go round! Another tip: food spots right down the street!

Yelp
This is a great place to bring your kid on rainy days. They can get something out of it even when they are just crawling and pulling up -- there is an area with foam building blocks for the smallest kids. As they get older, they can get into the duplo blocks and trains.

Yelp
After reading the description of this place, we were so excited to surprise our kids (age 4 and 5) by bringing them here. We were underwhelmed with all the "stations." Art lab: just paper and markers. Paint and smocks were also available, but the smocks were covered with paint and the wall/surfaces that were available to paint on was covered with paint already. Community Garden: it was nice to see the digitized version of our kids' artwork on the wall, but we all got over it in about 5 minutes. Design it studio: there are no employees/volunteers available to go over any of the stations. They did not seem knowledgeable nor seemed interested in helping anyone. (Sandboxes: available sand toys were broken.) Animation studio: located upstairs, but did not have any air flow. The windows brought so much light in, but we were all sweating and just wanted to leave based on this. The employee in charge at the time was just sitting on the desk using his phone. Storybook park: Basic. Just sit and read on some cushions. There was no ambience; maybe some background music would've helped. Instead you're sitting there playing with your kids in silence and the sound of whatever you're working on (ie. blocks, paper, etc). Navigating the stations was weird; for example, you walk into music studio and it looks like to go right into the music (put your headphones on and start playing). Then you finish all the stations and realize there's desk you go to FIRST to get a badge in order to record the music you made. Lastly, there needs to be some air conditioning in there (the oscillating fans in there are not doing anything for anyone). I can't imagine how hot it'll get in there if the outside temperatures reach past 65 degrees. Hope this helps!

Yelp
Nice children story books made into live theater performance! I went here on a Saturday morning for the caterpillar and other stories with my baby beloved nephew and it was quite time well worth spent! Entertained and cheered up. I obtained clarity on focusing what makes you happy! Nice theatrical effects and props! I had a lovely time here! So did my baby nephew! Family is of the essence and joy!

Yelp
It is a nice enough museum. I prefer the san jose tech museum for its hands on experiences but if i am in this neighborhood would definitely visit again. Very sweet staff helping at the various activities

Yelp
What a COMPLETE RIP OFF. If you have littles under 5 years old, I recommend not wasting your time and money. My husband found this place and thought it would be cool to check out. They advertise this as some place for kids as young as 2 but our kid is 3 and the activities were way over his head. We paid a total of $45 for two adults and one kid, just to have him do some coloring, play with foam blocks and a train set for a total of 30 minutes. Each station was enough to capture my kid's attention for 2-5min but nothing that truly engaged him because it's way too complicated for a kid under 5. Even if your kid is into doing crafts, you can get some egg cartons and rubber bands and paper to do crafts for free at home. No need to waste $15/person for some very basic activities that aren't anything special or unique to this place. If your kid is over 5, there are some really cool activities like the music room or the robot coding room that might be worthwhile to check out but that's about it. I can't see any kid spending more than an hour here. Considering that the adults aren't really meant to enjoy these activities, it was honestly really weird that they charged my husband and I $30 just to supervise our kid. It's not like going to a zoo for instance where the adult gets enjoyment out of being there as well. Definitely really disappointed this was a complete fail and we wasted what could've been 2 hours of babysitting money on 30 min of some basic indoor playtime for our son. I even said something to the woman at the front desk and she just reiterated that the place is meant for kids as young as 2yrs old. Clearly whoever designed the program here has not been around children to really know what is appropriate for 2 or 3 year old children. If these people knew what they were doing, they wouldn't charge for kids under 4 considering how little there is to do if you're only 2 or 3 years old. You're already making a killing charging $15 per adult. Why scam families out of their hard earned money by falsely advertising that the activities are age appropriate for toddlers when they in fact are not? I feel totally scammed and do not plan to come back again. I included photos of all of the stations at this place. Most are not suitable for younger kids. As someone who used to be a substitute teacher for kids from pre-K to 8th grade, I personally think this would be the perfect place for kids who are 6 or older. Many are just crafts areas which is fine but definitely not worth paying $15/person to access. We actually got so much more out of playing at the playground just outside for FREE. So do yourself a favor and check out the Exploratorium or just go to the park instead if you have kids under 5 yrs old.

Yelp
I was a little bit disappointed by the museum, I expected so much more. Especially concerning was the cleanliness of the areas and the variety of activities. The robot room where kids can code the robots is awesome and the space where kids can draw objects and scan them, so they end up in the 'city' is cool too. However we have a toddler and we were looking for some simpler activities. The room with soft blocks was good and the little room with books worked out as well, but both areas didn't seem to clean. While it's supposed to be socks only area, no one is really enforcing. The carousel is pretty cool, but we didn't get to ride it since our toddler got tired :) we'll be back for the carousel and may be in a few years to program those bots!

Yelp
Bay Area trip with the family and found this spot via Yelp! We've got 2 boys, ages 6 and 3, and it's tough on family trips to find things to do that keep their attention and maintain our sanity. San Francisco has a lot to offer by way of kids, but children's museums are always our jam. Location: Moscone center. Make sure to park at the moscone center parking. There's one off 3rd street. Parking is by hour. Otherwise, you could be paying an arm and a leg. Creativity (and activity) galore! We have come to expect certain things from children's museums and the SF children's creativity museum does not disappoint. Couple of the highlights: the sound lab upstairs; animation station; and the illustration animation studio. There are a bunch of little spots for kids to build, create, and use their imagination. I loved the little reading area on the ground floor. It holds probably the best drawing to animation interaction exhibit right when you walk in. The kids couldn't stop coloring and scanning. There is an awesome carousel in front $3-4 per rider. There is an outside park with a massive slide if you just need your kids to run and play for a bit. Fee: It's $15 for adults and kids 2 and up. If you are a member of another children's museum and can prove membership, you get a discount. It was worth the annual membership we hold in San Diego to be able to get a discount here. Overall: Worth spending some $$ and time here. It was a great way for the kids to get their wiggles out before we went site seeing in more restrictive areas. Probably one of the better children's museums we've been to on west coast!

Yelp
Can this place get anyymore AMAZING ??!!! 3 levels and it was a negotiating struggle just to get my kid off the first one.. ha! This place is awesome for 4-7 year olds they have it all. Arts n crafts area, imaginative play and puppet show area, you can make movies and clay formations here. You can go upstairs learn coding, play with robots and make a music video and have impromptu fun! Second floor is an observation deck and birthday party room . Wow what fun here is to have. If that's not enough any energy left can be burnt out at the playground directly outside the facility in which they have restrooms and bowling around the corner.

Rick A.

Yelp
This place is seriously awesome! It's like a giant playground for kids, but even better because you get to learn so many cool things while you're playing. My favorite part was the pretend grocery store, where I got to wear a little apron and ring people up at the cash register. There was also a stage where you could put on a show, and a construction area where you could build towers with blocks. I could have stayed there all day! And the best part is that you get to play and have fun while you're learning, so you don't even realize how much you're learning. If you're a kid you have to check this place out!

Yelp
A great place for small kids. They can have fun, play, and learn cool things. Animation lab in particular was a fun place.

Yelp
One of the most playful, tech-incorporated, cutely designed, innovative kiddo museum in the bay area. - Fun design labs & explorative activities: Robot Coding Labs (where you can remote control & solve the maze w/ toy robots), Music Studio (where you can grab a guitar & costume, pick a themed TV background for your song, and perform in an MV), Animation Studio (where you can learn to manipulate images & create animations), and more. - Other interactive facilities include a Lego & blocks wall, Puppet show stage, Outdoor garden, Craft station, AR sandbox, Storybook tree room, & large-scale columns to build. Activities are designed to engage the 5 senses, esp. sound & touch (building & sculpting). - Ambiance is very inspiring, energetic, playful, educational & casual. Perfect place for a 30 min playtime or a 2-hour energy-release! - "Spiral gallery" where instead of stairs you take a spiral ramp & enjoy the photography along the way. - Super adorable, vibrant Illustrations in the interiors. A consistent illustrative style of monsters, fish, and fun characters. - Overall a very happy place to be! Def lots of laughter & family time here.

Yelp
$45 and my 3-year old lasted about 30 minutes. This place is probably fantastic for 5+ year olds, but I would not recommend it for younger kids, especially for the price. There a few activities that a 2-3 year old might enjoy, but they are probably the same kind of simple art & crafts stuff you are already doing at home for free. My boy connected to the foam block area for about 5 minutes before a super rowdy group of older boys took it over. If that is all there is for him, we will stick to the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Marin, where for the same amount of $$ my kid has a blast for most of a day. Not sure why adults have to pay a full $15 when this place is all about the kids. We seriously thought about that before deciding to just go for it in the hopes that we could apply the price towards a membership, but no go. Front desk staff was very unsympathetic about our experience and kept robotically repeating that the experience is designed for 2-5 year olds. Really bummed out, we had high hopes.

Yelp
This museum used to be great for the toddler crowd, but after some recent changes it skews way older. My kindergartner had a hard time with most of the upstairs options, and there was very little for my toddler to do at all. I was excited to see a train table upstairs, only it's so high it was just surrounded by frustrated two year olds who couldn't reach. If you're a parent who is pretty tech-savvy or at least interested in helping your child through the activities (coding, animation), you may enjoy a couple of hours here. For the under-fives I'd skip it altogether. I'm crushed that they got rid of the music videos, not gonna lie. Kid karaoke was the best part of the visit!

Yelp
This place is amazing with its activities but now I am stuck with a bad taste in my mouth. I have three children of different ages that like to do different things, all three very capable of doing an activity by themselves without needing to be chained to their parents. The staff here is forcing me to be at three different places at the same time - THE KIDS HAVE DIFFERENT INTERESTS and I am just ONE parent. The woman that hunted me down - a manager of sorts - lied to me and told me my daughter was looking for me (she wasnt) to make me go back to her in her activity room. My daughter told me she was fine and we realized that this manager was just being nosy and lieing making it seem urgent. She told me the rules about how parents need to always hover over their kids. TOO RIGID WITH OVERZEALOUS RULES Denzel - parents can guage how comfortable they are with allowing their kids being self suffucient in an activity, especially if they are pre-teens; they can find you next door or downstairs. My kids are very comfortable with the museum, its options, and I always tell them where to meet me. Please change this dumb policy - free the responsible kids do what they want without being chained to their parents who are forced to be with the younger siblings. Make it easy for parents not harder.

Yelp
Located in Yueban gardens. Children's Creativity center provided me with 3 hours of entertainment for my kids. They particularly they liked the animation studio, robot coding studio, and the music studio. The staff were friendly and very helpful. At each studio was well staffed providing assistance for those who needed help or had questions. I would recommend if you're around the area.

Yelp
This museum is conveniently located near the convention center for those who are in SF for a meeting. There are some nice associated outdoor activities like a carousel and a playground with long slides. Inside, what stood out was the area where you could color some cars, planes, etc and then scan them so you could see your creation animated and in motion on the walls. The activities did skew more toward older kids - probably 5 and older would be preferable and it wasn't that large.

Yelp
I had a blast exploring this place with my kiddos! It was $3.75/hour for two hour metered parking. I had to go out once to feed the meter but I parked across the street. I loved SketchTown, Robots, Tegu Wall and Lego Wall. I also enjoyed the Styrofoam and wooden block play as well. There is a karaoke singing and dress up area too! We brought our lunch and ate at the bench provided outside in the courtyard area. If it wasn't too far from us, I would totally get a membership here. Everyone was really helpful. My kids are 4 and 2 and they absolutely enjoyed themselves too.

Yelp
We came here for a birthday party. While it was fun, the private room was a bit cramped. It was quite fun and there were many exhibits the children enjoyed. I recommend not coming here on the weekend as it gets quite busy. They could also benefit from more supervision in the robot and arts areas.

Yelp
We have a membership for the Children Creativity Museum (CCM) for the last 4 years. It's great place for kids of all ages. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased with our experience at CCM. The staff's commitment to nurture imagination and creativity in the toddlers is superb. My daughter is always excited about going to the museum. She calls it as her old school. They have programs and exhibits which can keep the young ones involved for hours. I must say adults too. Their newest exhibit Sketch Town! is mind blowing. Not only the sketch town all their studio are engaging, specially the imagination studio, wonder workshop and not to forget the sing along music area are simply awesome. They offer Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM ) based age appropriate workshops during weekdays. You can enroll in these classes through their website. These are offered to the members at a very reasonable price. Besides this, they organize nice workshops over the weekend. I am short of words when it comes to their summer camps. These summer camps are amazing. The coordinators of the camp share the video and pictures and other details of all camp activities with parents. These camps get filled up pretty quickly so if you plan to enroll your child, you should do it in advance. The staff at CCM is very affectionate and cares so much for all the kids. I am deeply impressed with the work of Education Manager Maureen (Mo) Weinhardt and her team. Ms. Lory, Ms.Courtney, and Tony all are outstanding. Their front office staff has a pleasing personality and they always are ready to help you out. This place has got a convenient location. It's close to the Powell Street Bart Station and even the freeway access is not far. Regarding the parking ; street side parking can be hard, but there is a parking garage near AMC Metreon. I would recommend this place to all the parents who want to spark the imagination and build confidence in their child. Its one such place you will never regret visiting time and again.

Yelp
We came here after seeing a bay area children's theater play in the same complex. This is a great museum. I don't think kids under the age of four will get as much out of it. Definitely for five and up it is an exciting, interesting experience. We especially liked the room with the coding and robots, and the room where we could draw a picture and add it to the city. The staff were uniformly helpful, pleasant and kind. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Amazing experience with our 6-yr old daughter today at the Children's Creativity Center in SF. It was our first visit. I appreciate that they have reciprocity with Chabot Science Center but even if we had to pay full price, we felt the rate was affordable. We have been to a large number of children's museums in many different states and this one stood head and shoulders above the rest, especially for the 6 yo ale group. The clay animation exhibit was a complete hit. The music video and sketch-town were a close second, but every exhibit was top notch. The staff were SUPER nice and overly helpful. They offered a survey in exchange for free tickets to the carousel outside. They are located near an amazing number of great restaurants (we went to Samovar Tea Lounge). I would note that most exhibits take time (which is actually great because they make you interact and think). We went on a day that wasn't very busy so we did not wait at all. I don't know if our experience would have been different on a crazy-busy day. That said, we didn't even get to all the exhibits, but we'll he back again soon!

Yelp
I got tickets to the Children's Creativity Museum using the Discover & Go program from my local library. This was the perfect way to spend the day with my 7 year old niece who was on spring break. The museum has two floors with all sorts of things to do. The lower level had foam blocks for building forts, all sorts of coloring supplies (build a farm animal, spiral art, paper garden, a chalk wall and more), a Lego wall, a theatre with animated shorts playing throughout the day, a place to put on your own puppet show, and more. Upstairs had a room to learn code, a space to film your own music video (seriously, SO much fun!) with costumes and props, and a room where you are given challenges based on age that you have to solve with a mystery box. We spent most of the day here, and had a great time. There were a few water fountains throughout, and restrooms were clean. They ask for you to not eat inside (possible food allergies & messes seemed to be the biggest reasons), but they have complimentary cubbies - so we brought our lunches and ate them in the adjoining park. Well worth the drive to SF, and my niece fell asleep on the drive home, so I'd say it was a pretty successful day.

Yelp
A very cute museum and the name says it all :p I discovered this museum when we stayed @ the W Hotel. This is the perfect place to entertain a toddler and an infant while escaping the cold weather. The last time we visited and it was raining, my son played here for hours with DH while my daughter and I went shopping. The carousel, ice skating, bowling, and play circle is all here :p

Yelp
We did a corporate event there and it was wonderful. Everyone is so easy to work with and things just moved along. We look forward to putting on another event there soon! Charles Pipe Dream Events

Yelp
I went here for the Creativity Theatre. There was a talk featuring Alex Garland filmmaker(Ex Machina) and Tara McPherson, USC film studies professor. It was a nice event and I enjoyed it at the theater at this center. Put on by SFFilm fest. This is a nice venue for events and it feels new.

Yelp
I was disappointed in this place. Brought my kids ages 3 & 6. The first floor is pretty lame. Simple crafts they could do at home or school. Didn't even know there was a second floor. The 6 year old might have enjoyed that. We went there after lunch and she was ready to go. Go to the second floor first. There are places to get lunch, a carousel, and a nice playground nearby. Good thing - the museum has in and out privileges.

Yelp
Gizmos, gadges, arts & sciences labs for the little ones from two to thirteen -- in the Financial District of San Francisco. Obviously this is a must set-aside day for parents to entertain their young, and something you should just do. Of all the discovery museums and exploratoriums in the Bay Area, this is not the best one, but it has its charms. It's somewhat designed like New York's cylindered Guggenheim, and there is a merry-go-round (discounted after your museum purchase) and a park for five and up outside in the courtyard. They close at 4, and the interactive activities are earlier on. But somewhere between two and three hours is about enough here, for some maybe two is even pushing it. For the older kids past age thirteen, the animation and robot code rooms will keep them busy, and if they're feeling fly, the karaoke room. #goodtimes

Yelp
The positives: The museum is in a nice, contemporary building. Though kinda small once you get inside, our 2 year old found plenty of creative things to do. The price of admission is reasonable. Fun for adults too. The negative: I understand rules and protocol, such as taking your shoes off (kids and adults) while in the carpeted area, as the sign that I clearly didn't see, states. My issue is being singled out. There were 2-3 couples and a few fathers with their children in the play area with their shoes in as well. So why was my family and I singled out by the young blond lady with a bull nose piercing (Teaching Intern or something,as printed on her t shirt) while NO ONE ELSE was told to take off their shoes? Do the rules apply to all or only Hispanic (we were the only ones) families? Just to mine? Check your prejudice at the door, kid. To think someday some poor kids will have to endure days of being singled out by this future teacher.

Yelp
The staff were friendly, price isn't bad and we loved the music room where you sung karaoke! The soft sand area is also nice. Sketch town was very interesting as you draw, then they scan it and appears on a screen..super cool. Claymation and the robot (innovation) area was more for 4 and up. I didnt see the outdoor area and there isn't as much to do as i thought.

Yelp
This was probably a tad too old for my 14 month old. Despite having a 5 and under zone, it was overwhelming due to the amount of visitors the day we went. I was kind of surprised by the chaos, as even the adults weren't very perceptive and almost took out wee ones a few times. Also, the no shoes policy in this area was not enforced, as it should have been - especially on a rainy day. My son is past the crawling stage, yet I know how important it is to have safe zones for crawling babies. With all of this being said, the museum's concept is neat. Children seemed to be enjoying the music and tech rooms. The robots were a huge hit. Worth another visit in a few years time.

Yelp
Went there during November 2016 and our kids had a great time. There are a lot of things to do at the museum and we didn't even get through everything. Staff was very friendly and place was very clean.

Yelp
Price was fairly reasonable for the amount of activities there were. There was a good variety of things kids could do. The outside playground was really cool, had a huge slide. The only downside was there was a long wait for some of the hands on activities and games. Overall a good experience, my children enjoyed it.
