"Atlanta's Interactive Children's Museum Located right across the park from most of Atlanta 's major tourist attractions, a visit to the Children's Museum of Atlanta makes for a welcome addition to your day. Open daily, except for Wednesdays, the children's museum specializes in exhibits for kids ages 8 and younger. While some exhibits change with the seasons, there are permanent installations, such as "Fundamentally Food," which explores the origins of the food we eat; "Crawl Space," which includes a toddler play area complete with padded bridges and stairs; and "Leaping Into Learning," which teaches textures, sounds, smells, shapes, and movement. For handy kids, "Let Your Creativity Flow" offers painting, sculpture, and other artistic projects, and "Tools for Solutions" shows the ins and outs of pulleys, levers, and screws."

Such a great place to visit, my 15 month old loved our visit. There's so much to do as soon as you walk in. It's worth getting a membership. I'd bring her every week if we lived closer. There's stroller parking areas throughout, age appropriate areas but even the big kid activities smaller kids can easily do if they're interested in it. I'd recommended booking online and opening the email confirmation they tell you a parking garage you can park at for only $8 all day. Much cheaper than the one directly across the street from the museum.

Google
Great place for children 3-8. There is a wide variety of activities for all to enjoy. The exhibits are excellent and the adults can enjoy. The annual pass is great price and tax deductible.

Joanna Park

Google
I love that there are always new activities and hands-on experiences to enjoy. That being said, when it gets crowded, it can be tough for kids to get a turn with some of the toys, even if they wait. Still, the staff is friendly, and there’s plenty to see and do. The newer areas are well-maintained, but some of the older exhibits could use a little upkeep. Nothing too concerning, but a refresh would make the experience even better.

Larry Ballard

Google
Can’t really complain because the children had a great time and there were a couple of activities that kept the adults engaged as well. For the price I thought it would be bigger , and an all day thing , but despite the fact that we were done in a couple of hours , the kids had fun even though learning was involved . Great if you have little ones .

Google
The Children's Museum of Atlanta is an incredible place with plenty of hands-on activities that kids (and adults!) will love. The staff does an amazing job keeping everything tidy and running smoothly. The café is a convenient spot for a quick bite, and the periodic teaching sessions make the experience even more enriching. The ice skating rink is a huge hit, but my personal favorite is the piano steps—they’re so much fun! A must-visit for families looking for an engaging and memorable outing.

Google
This is a decent museum because it gives parents some constructive activities for their kids to do; however my issue is that this museum is not cheap to enter so I would like every moment I pay for my kids to enter; however at 4pm, the staff starts harassing people in person and over their PA system to get out although the museum states in writing that it is open until 4:30. At 4:14pm they literally turned the main lights off today which makes it hazardous for children to play since it becomes dark in those main areas they turned the lights off. I understand they maybe tired and want to go home but they shouldn’t be closing up shop and turning off lights until exactly 4:30 since that is when they officially close. It’s very distasteful and off putting to be rushing people out of a facility when technically it’s not even time to close and they won’t offer any discount or refund for closing early. Also the female bathroom is always a hot mess. Paper towels always strewn all over the place, unflushed toilets are abound. Dirty diapers always stinking up the place. The staff has no regard for checking the bathroom at least on a 90 min basis to ensure it’s cleanliness. I know this because we typically stay about 2+ hours when we visit and the bathroom looks disgusting from the time we get there until we leave and considering kids constantly spread germs 🦠, this place needs to be constantly cleaned and its not. If they won’t even keep the bathrooms clean, you can rest assured they are not practicing good health and safety hygiene with cleaning the toys and other items. I will definitely not be renewing my annual membership at this place.

Google
We visited this place during our family vacation, and I have to say I was disappointed. We spent over $70 for just three of us (my wife, my son, and me), which felt overpriced—especially considering that it was even more expensive than the aquarium, which has significantly higher operating costs. It just didn’t make sense and didn’t feel like a good value for the experience we got.

Darnelle Daverman

Google
This place is walking distance to the aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola. Enjoyed the experience with my 7 year old son. The place feels appropriate for ages 2-7. Clean and friendly environment. Good educational activities. Only wish there were more seats for the adults to sit and observe and let their kids play. We stayed for about 1.5 hours. Probably could've stayed more if we stayed to enjoy a show with scientific experiments . It's definitely not an all-day thing with an older child.

Yelp
Visited the children's museum while in Atlanta this past weekend. It is downtown, near centennial park, so please be mindful of parking. There are garages nearby but they can be expensive. We got a 230-330 timeslot and they let you enter 15 minutes, at the earliest before your scheduled slot. I'm not really sure if they make you leave after your scheduled hour but they definitely are slightly strict about the entrance time. We went on a Saturday so it was pretty busy. It was nice! There are two levels with many activities of different ages. They have a couple toddler areas, however, my toddler was able to do some other activities as well. I'm sure we will be back whenever we visit Atlanta again.

Yelp
Very large space, with lots to do for each age group. There is a pretend Waffle House, which is stock full of different treats and decorations, A pretend farm where you can "milk a cow" and "pick fruits and veggies". There is also a science bar, and the staff give story times and give mini presentations throughout your visit. There is a water play station, and an area for the littles. It also is very clean, though I would recommend cleaning your children's hands afterward in case. Bring all your kids because this has something for everyone, Parking Garage across the street.

Yelp
Atlanta childrens museum is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. There are so many interactive spaces. So many museum have started integrating so much technology into play spaces that the tactical learning suffers. This museum has the perfect blend of activity, science and imagination play. There is a giant climbing structure in the middle to help burn energy. There is an entire mini store front with plenty of toy food and a little assembly line. We happen to go the weekend that an outside the box exhibit opened. This is perhaps the most genius of all. There was entire room of empty boxes to build and stack. It was a toddlers dream space. As frequent visitors of Atlanta we will return for some indoor play time.

Yelp
Been coming here on Sunday mornings for almost a year now and it is a good way to spend a couple of hours. Kids seem to enjoy it and there is plenty of things to keep them buys and entertained. I also like that they change themes regularly. The science portion on 2nd floor is a bit better for older kids. Toddlers do great in kitchen area downstairs.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to take the kids (especially when the weather is bad!). It's a bit chaotic with the amount of people, but enough toys for everyone to be entertained. Employees work hard to keep everything organized and clean.

Yelp
Fantastic place ***** This past weekend, we made a trip to Atlanta and looked for something for our son to do. We found the children's museum and it was great. 90% of the facility was interactive, and my son loved every moment. He was so fulfilled and excited. I wish this facility was in our town. OVERALL: Facility: 5 stars kept clean during the whole Fun factor: 5 stars Parking: 3 stars (tiny parking spaces across the stress)

Yelp
Pretty nice kids' place at a reasonable price. You either pick the morning or afternoon slot. The staff do a cleaning in between. The location is less than to be desired. In the heart of downtown parking was impossible to find. I ended up settling on an outdoor lot that accepted credit cards a few blocks away. I was making circles for at least half an hour prior to that. When you enter there is a check in area and gift shop. You basically go at your own pace and let your children lead you. There's such a cute farm, construction center, grocery store, and restaurant downstairs. In the back corner there are some scheduled activities and presentations with staff. There is also a rotating theme of the Inside Out movie where the kids get to experience their feelings and organize their memories. They can hang with with Joy, Bing Bong, and numerous other characters. That area was exceptionally well done. Upstairs you will find some science and engineering projects that are available. Overall a really great experience, minus the impossible parking situation. It's a well constructed and thought out environment that really kept my children engaged the entire time.

Yelp
I love this place! It isn't a huge place that you'll be walking around all day but it's big enough to keep your little ones busy. They have space for parents to sit and watch. There are 2 sessions one in the am and one in the pm in which they close for cleaning for an hour in between. We went to the afternoon session from 1:30 to 4:30 and pretty much stayed the entire time. Their staffs was prompt, friendly and very helpful. See my pictures for some of the play areas kids can visit. Every hour they have a live interactive story time. Upstairs is a hands on activity classroom where we built a bridge using the material they have available. I really like how they had book cases around the place so you can read to your kids. I highly recommend coming. The only thing I don't like is having to pay for an adult ticket. It should be cheaper because we aren't enjoying/using the attractions like the kids. Other than that, I highly recommended coming here soon. It's a great experience for the kids.

Yelp
Every time I go, I'm like this is ok. Not great, not bad. Just something to do. It's perfect if it's super hot outside or raining outside. I give it a 3/5 because there are a lot of things to do but it also feels lackluster especially compared to Children's Museums in Tampa and Memphis and it doesn't have much for older kids (6+). There's a painting area, a fishing area, three different indoor play areas, and the grocery store/restaurant. Outside of those areas, there's a lot of little additional areas like train tables, tractors, etc. You could spend a lot of time in there and it could be a good membership to have for the 3-6 age range. We always park in the parking garage right next to it. $9 for an hour and an easy walk.

Yelp
Yes 100000000x YES! I'm from out of state and came here with no expectations but I was so impressed with this place. It was clean! Very clean even tho there was tons of kids! I loved the play restaurant/kitchen area. Will def be coming back!

Yelp
The website pictures don't do this place justice. I passed it up for years when my kids were little because I wasn't a yelper then. Now that I have a grandchild and I rely on yelp reviews for many choices, I decided to check yelp for reviews and photos. I took my grandson there yesterday and we had an absolute blast. We got there at 12:30 and stayed till they closed at 3:30. He's 3, so that was a good amount of time, but if he was old enough to understand some of the science exhibits and want to spend more time constructing with boxes and foam bricks, we could've stayed another couple of hours. They have some reasonably priced drinks and snacks in the gift shop but if you plan to be there long, I recommend taking your own food. They have a small area where you can sit down to eat your snacks.

Yelp
This is where a kid can be a kid! There are two play sessions - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. It is closed currently on Wednesdays. You are only able to reserve the spots online through the website since you can't walk in and buy a ticket. There are so many interactive activities available for children to learn and play with. Both of my kids, who are 5 and 8, enjoyed this museum. I find that the museum is more geared towards children who are in kindergarten and below since my son wasn't into all of it like my daughter was. Kids tend to grow up fast, so cherish the moments dearly. The best part is that it's all indoors with the nice a/c running and it has different areas for imaginative play. There was even a Waffle House cafe that the kids could take turns to be servers and customers. We spent the almost the entire morning session there and it's well worth the cost.
google avatar

Tony E.

Yelp
Fun place. My kid enjoyed themselves the entire time although a lot of the educational aspects seemed lost on all the guests. Personally I enjoyed demonstrating how to use some of the exhibits to some of the other kids, showing them the cause and effect of turning a crank then watching the ball roll down the ramp. Or making them pause long enough to hear the tone when their feet broke the light beam on the stairs - The light bulb going off in their heads when they realized there was something more going on than what was immediately obvious.

Yelp
Took my son and his friend to the museum this past week. They had an amazing time!! So many different activities and different means of exploring. Will definitely take him again before summer is out.
google avatar

Monique M.

Yelp
This was a nice museum to take your kids. I like the different sections in the museum ( grocery store, music section , science section, garden etc) and they also have story time. The price is well worth it and the kids will like the layout.
google avatar

Crystal P.

Yelp
Took our son here, he had fun. For a place as cool as Atlanta I was disappointed to see no wifi! Come on give us parents something to do while the kids play! We still spent an hour and a half here. Our son didn't want to leave and started running around with a shopping cart, hit into another little girl lol that's when we were like yeah time to go for real. It wasn't a bad place and it was something to do out of the hot weather. Just not one of the best children's museums we've been to.
google avatar

Audrey B.

Yelp
So the place is is kid friendly! Duh! But I say that to say they can touch any and everything and my little one did. They are building a paw patrol area and was super great about changing my tickets for me on a last minute change. The stairs plays music and the grocery store is great. They even have a long contraption of engineering for the balls to go from here to there. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because given the location parking is super annoying and then the actual cost of going. For 50 bucks I wanted to see more then was there. Don't get me wrong tons to do with sand play area and story times. Not to mention a paint area. But again considering the price for me and my child to go this feels like bit of an elevated play park and it makes want more for them to do. Maybe once the paw patrol is up I will feel differently.
google avatar

Joanna B.

Yelp
I like this place for my 3YO, my 5YO seemed bored. It is a great play area- 4 stars instead of 5 bc it is REALLY hard to drive 45 minutes and attempt to time Atlanta traffic when the play windows are by appointment- planning with littles is tough, also parking across the street is expensive.
google avatar

Tania F.

Yelp
What a fun experience! We came to the children's museum as a way for our kids to run around and have some creative freedom. To start off I love that they have scheduled blocks of time. This made for a nice 3 hours of Indoor play without overcrowding. The staff is constantly walking around, cleaning-up, playing with the kids, and maintaining an overall great ambience for everyone's enjoyment. Children and adults are required to wear masks throughout their entire visit so I would suggest to make sure your little one can handle wearing a mask for long periods of time. The museum itself is a kids play dream. From the grocery store, water area, painting, market, second floor art projects, science show, and so much more. My kids loved running around and playing pretend in all the play areas. They especially loved the musical steps on the way to the second floor. Three hours was plenty of time for them to run wild and enjoy so many activities. I'm really glad we had a chance to enjoy this place. It was probably the highlight of my kids trip.
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
My daughter loved this place, but I think my husband and I loved it just as much! It really brought out our inner child. So many awesome interactive activities & a great use of space without feeling crowded. I wish we had allotted more time for it (we weren't expecting that we would need more than 2 hours based on other children's museums we had visited), we could have easily spent the entire day here! If we are ever back in Atlanta we will visit again!
google avatar

Dorie S.

Yelp
Awesome place to take my toddler. We have the membership that lets me bring another family.
google avatar

Melanie C.

Yelp
If you follow them on social media you'll notice that The Children's museum of Atlanta offers a "family free day" a few times a year. I was able to take advantage of the latest free day and my 2 toddlers had a blast! There are 2 sessions, a morning session (9:30am-12:30pm) and an afternoon session (1:30pm-4:30pm). All guests must reserve tickets in advance as there are no tickets sold at the door. We arrived around 9:45am to a packed museum. The crowd seemed to thin out a bit around noon and there was a lot more space for kids to play without running over one another. There are 2 levels with plenty of hands on exhibits and play stations to keep the little ones busy during the 3 hour time slot...so much so that they didn't want to leave when it was time for us to go. There aren't any food or beverages available for purchase in the museum so be sure to pack snacks. The closest parking is directly across the street (Lanier Parking) at the corner of Centennial Olympic Park Dr and Baker St.
google avatar

Stephen P.

Yelp
It's not the biggest children's museum, and they don't have any huge premier installations, but they make great use of the space with a great variety of activities packed in, and high quality interactions that work well (nothing is more frustrating than a cheap implementation or something that doesn't do what it should). My 8-year-old was plenty entertained, though he's toward the upper end of the target audience. Lots of ball movement areas, gears to turn, stuff to put together and take apart. And real life connections made along the way. Staff is all great, and the price is reasonable.
google avatar

Rachel H.

Yelp
For the city of Atlanta and Georgia, this children's museum is very disappointing. You would think for such a large and growing city, we would have an updated state of the art children's museum. The museum does not have much street appeal (like the Chattanooga one we recently visited) and it's located in an older building. The inside has a dark and outdated feel. There are two stories to the museum. There's a little kid diner/restaurant play area with play food and groceries, but very basic. There's some arts and crafts upstairs. You probably couldn't spend all day here. There just aren't enough activities and things to do. You can find everything here in any other children's museum so there is nothing that really sets this one apart. Hopefully one day, they will renovate this museum.
google avatar

Kina L.

Yelp
We have been members here for over two years. The childrens museum is a wonderful place to spend a rainy day. They have some permanent exhibitis and some rotating ones (like paw patrol). Permanent include the water tables and grocery store. I love that they have a science demonstration and also an art station daily. My only gripe is parking is terrible and expensive
google avatar

Trisha C.

Yelp
Great activity for kids! We had ages 11,6,5 and they all had a blast. I'm not sure if the timed entrance is a Covid thing but it was nice we came in the afternoon session 1:30-4:30, they shut promptly at 4:30pm. They truly seemed to be reducing the crowd it was perfect the kids didn't feel crowded at sections. The museum was doing a scavenger hunt that included five stations after completing the kids could pick a treasure box type prize. The gift shop had a mix of priced items to purchase as well.
google avatar

Eva R.

Yelp
Definitely enjoyed the children's museum. I love all the interaction and cool activities for toddlers. The only downfall is that you have to get tickets in advance and we all know that with kids sometimes things can be unexpected so it would definitely be nice to be able to get tickets on the spot
google avatar

Shanique W.

Yelp
Such a wonderful place to take your young children! My sister and I came here with my daughter and my 2 nieces and nephew (age ranged from 7-2). They require masks for everyone over the age of 2 (just an FYI). You have to book tickets ahead of time and they sell out pretty quickly. We were able to get in their 1pm slot. They give you two hours to enjoy the whole museum. There's so many interactive rooms ranging from a grocery store to a creativity section. The kids we're definitely fully occupied for the whole two hours that we were there. The employees were really informative and told us some facts about the station they were working in. They did a little science experiment and the kids liked that as well. I really recommend this place if you have kids around 8 and below.
google avatar

Akilah A.

Yelp
I am glad I added this to my weekly routine! Without even going to visit, I purchased an annual pass. I was desperate to get out and wanted to have some kind of accountability. By purchasing the pass, I was bound to visit. Turned out to be a Great decision! The only downside of my visit is the parking situation downtown- it's not free. Watching my toddler play and interact with all these activities was truly a highlight. There is so much to do - from painting, tree house climb, story time, grocery store and diner, fishing and science corner. We didn't experience everything but I'll be back weekly to explore more.

Valarie P.

Yelp
Wonderful for toddlers , my great niece ( 2years old )loves shopping, painting, milking the cow, fishing storytelling and socksfeller center .
google avatar

Brionta P.

Yelp
WANT TO FEEL LIKE A KID AGAIN? Well if that is the case you should visit the Children's Museum. My niece and I had a blast! It is for sure worth every dollar. From the time we walked in you get a rush. She immediately took off and joined that other children (most were, shame on some of those other parents). You can hear screaming and laughing of children truly enjoying themselves from the front door. This is a great interactive way for children to have fun doing everyday task such as grocery shopping, cooking and working. I love all the activities they offer. They even have areas for younger children as well. I love the grocery store setting. My niece was able to push her own cart around, organize the shelves, pick out fruit and veggies and ring out her grocery. She even enjoying the logistic side of things as you can see pictured. The invention area was cool. I literally had to bribe my niece to leave. Thanks for the conveniently located gift shop. Which I must say the prices were pretty reasonable compared to a lot of the local attractions gift shop. Definitely was a easy transition out of the museum. I love that they have it set up where they have time slots for an allotted amount of people so that it is not to crowded being that COVID is still very real. And if you are a stickler about mask, please do NOT go these are children so don't expecting them to keep on a mask. Just allow them to enjoy themselves in peace :) Also in between those time slots is where they thoroughly sanitize the place! Now I am not a fan of the parking situation. I think that the museum should have something better to offer families that pay good money to come here.
google avatar

S P.

Yelp
This is a great fun place for young ones to learn & explore. I recommend a min of 2-3hrs for the children to be able to explore adequately. I arrived 30min early but it was not necessary since they literally opened the door exactly at opening time. Also be sure to include your gift shop time into the museum hours because the store is not open before or after museum hours.
google avatar

Anni L.

Yelp
Welcoming and encouraging environment with rare indoor activities and STEM areas. Not a very big snack area but provided during the sessions. Parking is close walking distance with children and strollers.
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
We decided to get a family membership as a way to get the kids out of the house after such a long COVID lockdown. My kids didn't want to leave. Although we've been before several years ago, we will be back as often as possible. It's amazing in here and the staff might be the greatest collection of humans in Georgia.
google avatar

Emilio H.

Yelp
Took my kids here as they were out of school today. The parking is weird. However, the time slots and pre sold tickets are clutch. Once you enter, there are a ton of activities for all age groups. My son likes to use his brain and build thing and my daughter likes to play kitchen and house (as she is younger). Both of them were equally entertained. There's a need for a cafe area where families can go and take a food break. I would definitely be back.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
I live on yelp reviews so I thought I'd post one for this. We visited on a Friday morning 6/14. My 2 year old son loved it!!! We were there for 3 hours and could have easily spent another 3 hours. This museum is about exploration and imaginative play. It's cleans, and the staff was all really friendly. While we were there they offered a music station, craft, build your own, and a science experiment. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Chad R.

Yelp
We enjoy taking our toddler here as we are annual members. However I wish that there were more features, of that exhibits changed more frequently as it can get redundant after a few visits. Parking is not included, so must street park or park in the $10 garage. The good, because of the pandemic, it isn't as crowded now. Timed sessions, so they clean in between sessions. Compared to other major city children's museums, this one just needs a little bit more of everything.
google avatar

Katherine K.

Yelp
An intelligent indoor playspace for your toddler to play and explore. You cannot just walk in and buy a ticket you must reserve online in advance! There are two play sessions from 9-12 they close for lunch then 1-5? Not exact but its split into a morning session and afternoon session. Came back to Atlanta with my 4 year old and we did all the touristy things like Zoo Atlanta, GA Aquarium, Stone Mountain etc and he said this was his FAVORITE. We've been twice. The first time we stayed until closing. Both times we did the afternoon session and he was so impatient all day I may just take him to the morning session first thing on the weekend and buy a membership as well since he loves it so much. It's also good because parking permitting it's a family friendly area and you can walk to Centennial Olympic Park and play afterwards as well! All in all I really like this space for children because it's beautifully designed and more than exceeded my expectations. It kept my son occupied and engaged and excited. Phenomenal and brain enhancing instead of trash like Catch Air type kid clubs. I cannot emphasize enough that I appreciate their intelligent play and not dumbing down playtime for children! It's also nice to be indoors and have plenty of activites for the kids to engage in.
google avatar

Bianca C.

Yelp
We have a membership to the museum which is totally worth it if you have kids younger than 5 (although I think kids up to 7 or 8 would enjoy it too). Because of the membership, I've been able to go to other kid museums and/or centers for a discount and the Atlanta museum is a decent size with a good amount of exhibits. I like that they have a larger area that has a rotating exhibit (I think it rotates every quarter) so there's always something fresh for the kids. I do think they could do a little better with thoroughly cleaning off toys and equipment and to have more hand sanitizers available.
google avatar

Jennifer T.

Yelp
My grandbabies loved this museum! This location is larger than the one in Delaware. The kids were everywhere. Especially the grocery/shopping/cooking area! The little shopping carts were super cute. My 5 and 3 yr old stayed occupied for the entire 2 hour time slot. I think this is a new regulation post COVID. It allows the museum to close, clean, and open for the next 2 hour session. Please add to your list of entertainment...if you're in the area.
google avatar

Will T.

Yelp
If you define museum in a typical sense ("a building in which objects of historical, scientific, artistic, or cultural interest are stored and exhibited."), this is not, in any way, a museum. It's a place for kids to play with toys, like sandboxes and water tables. And it's an expensive place for them to do that: $20 a person, whether they are 1 or 100, as the sign out front says. Over $100 for a family of five, for what amounts to access to a large room with some things to climb, a pretend supermarket and diner, the water table, and some similar things. Not any educational value of note. I'm assuming they added the term "museum" to their name to drive up donations (i.e., if the called it a play area Publix wouldn't give them money). Taking it for what it is - a mediocre play area - was it with the high price tag? No. My nine year old daughter was over it on sight. My six year old kept himself busy climbing for half an hour. My three year old liked it ok. If I lived in Atlanta, I guess I'd consider getting a season pass, which costs about the same as one visit for a family of five, then pop in for an hour if I didn't know what else to do with the kids a few times a year. Or maybe not even then. If you're visiting from out of town, I'd give it a miss. Whatever you have in your hometown is probably better. For instance, this is like a non-science, very small Discovery Place in Charlotte.

Yelp
Great place for children and parents to have some bonding time with their children, Lots of games and opportunities for the children to interact with other kids. It gets crowded on the weekends and seems like there was a couple of parties going on. We spend around 4 hrs going through everything. I purchased a mermaid for my daughter I haven't seen it anywhere else.

Yelp
Great experience for kids, you will need the entire session, all staff from front entrance/greeting til exiting were very nice and friendly, also engaging in activities with the kids from different learning stations, story time, playing a game of charades and dance party.

Yelp
We promised our son that we would come to this place, keep in mind he is only 2 1/2, but he loves places like this! At the beginning I thought it was a little bit pricey, but then I was able to see why. Comparing this children's museum with the one from our town in Tampa, this one offers classes that I find really interesting. Craft and art class, where they taught my son how to do a turkey mask!!!! Hilarious !!!!! Very clean place, people were really helpful, TONS of things to do and a great place to spend no more than 3 hours "TOTAL HONESTY"--- Why 4 stars and not 5? Well I left the place feeling that I was missing something. The place is not big at all but a fantastic place to bring your kids and spend some family time!

Yelp
This is a great place for a family day city outing. My 7, 4, & 1.5 year old daughters absolutely love this place. I love that they have educational entertainment and a place to let loose creatively. The workshops are great and so are those who run it. We got the membership because it pays for itself after 2 visits. We have been here twice in 2 months & I know we will be back many, many more times.

Yelp
Visiting from Texas. Took my kids here to explore and that they did! My youngest loves trains so the three train table setups with interactive features was his go-to in between almost each activity. Our middle child loved the cafe when you first walk in. It was a busy restaurant full of "cooks and servers" with the grocery store next to it. The little shopping carts were the absolute cutest! The entire museum had something for all ages...even my teenager ended up taking a break from sibling support to enjoy the engineering activities and a few others in between. I also loved that there were teachers presenting activities. One educator had only one participant and taught her a lesson like there was a class full. From 1-24 kids in a class, I appreciate when teachers give their all no matter how many are present. It made me want to sit and learn but they were halfway through. If you are an advocate for purposeful play, this museum is the place to go. All kids were safe, happy and able to just enjoy being explorers. Also...I'm big on customer service and from the cashier all the way through to closing, the entire staff was cheerful and polite.

Yelp
They would earn an extra star if we didn't have to park two blocks and walk to the facility in twenty degree weather, not that its their fault that downtown parking sucks, but have you tried hiking two city blocks in the middle of winter with a 30lb toddler on your hip? Parking was $12, we were in the museum approx 1 hour. We could have stayed longer, but since I havent been around babies in over 30 years, about an hour of wall to wall kids was all I could take. The second Tuesday of each month is Target Free Tuesday, the Target brand covers admission for everyone from 1pm - 6pm I had a one year old visiting me for a week and I am just shocked at the prices that accompany the entrance fee for some of these kid friendly activities. The regular pricing is about $15 for adults and kids over the age of 2. There website does give a couple other discounts options (military, Fulton county residents get BOGO and there are also yearly memberships. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, YOU MUST HAVE A KID WITH YOU TO ENTER, AND THE KIDS HAVE TO HAVE AN ADULT WITH THEM AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE FACILITY. When I say kids, kids and more kids, and don't forget the adults that must accompany the kids, this place was pretty full for 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon. I will admit that most of the kids were under the age of 5, so keep in mind if going on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, the little ones will be running about. Its a really large facility, so while there were kids and adults everywhere, I didn't feel like we were standing on top of each other, there's lots of room to play and watch your tot have a good time. There was a magic bubble show going on when we got there, and I imagine from the size of the group watching the show, that people must show up right at 1pm and sit there until it starts. Overall it was a fun experience, although a few of the little ones could learn some its not nice to take toys from other little ones manners, its a real playland for kids. We spent the bulk of our visit in the Leaping into Learning and Fundamentally Food areas. These seemed the most under the age of two friendly. There is a fishing pond and a John Deere tractor that gets a lot of attention in these areas. There is a gift shop and we ended up spending $50 on three toys out the gift shop, so avoid it as you exit, since it really makes no sense to spend $62 to park and buy a couple of toys on a museum visit that is suppose to be a freebie. If you go in knowing its for the kids, you'll find that even the kid in you will enjoy watching the little ones run about, make new friends (if only for an afternoon) and try your hand at a couple of the exhibits. The Waffle House play kitchen and the Publix grocery area are so real like, meaning watch out for little kids running with grocery buggies full of plastic canned goods and other veggies, and all the kids trying to fix themselves a Waffle House breakfast.

Yelp
Really fun place for kids $18 per person (kids price is the same) Parking starting at $15 in the area. We love hands on children museums and this was an excellent experience for our kids. It's nice and clean and well maintained. The staff is very active in cleaning up after the kids and that helps ensure toys are available for everyone. Check out the pics for more info on the the different attractions. I would say an hour is more than enough time to spend here. You can leave and come back if you get your hand stamped. You can eat upstairs but it may be filled with kids on field trips. You must bring your own food.
