"Atlanta's Interactive Children's Museum Located right across the park from most of Atlanta 's major tourist attractions, a visit to the Children's Museum of Atlanta makes for a welcome addition to your day. Open daily, except for Wednesdays, the children's museum specializes in exhibits for kids ages 8 and younger. While some exhibits change with the seasons, there are permanent installations, such as "Fundamentally Food," which explores the origins of the food we eat; "Crawl Space," which includes a toddler play area complete with padded bridges and stairs; and "Leaping Into Learning," which teaches textures, sounds, smells, shapes, and movement. For handy kids, "Let Your Creativity Flow" offers painting, sculpture, and other artistic projects, and "Tools for Solutions" shows the ins and outs of pulleys, levers, and screws."
