Chili's Grill & Bar

Located in B terminal, zero wait in four visits over a few weeks travel. Appreciated consistent attentive service that can move fast or slow depending on your connecting flight needs. Sat at bar. Enjoyed wine, Chips & Salsa with Queso and their classic Chicken Tortilla Soup with a side of pico de gallo. Appreciated being able to catch the NFL Ireland game too! This place is great for a good vibe and delicious comfort food.

Arrived to see several seats open but the bar was "full" because every single person was seated with one seat open next to them. My husband and I had a 4.5 hour delay on 1.19.25 due to the snow storm and we were hungry and wanted to sit down and drink/eat for a little while. We were not greeted even though a woman was at the host stand. So I went to the bar and moved two seats together. A waiter said to me "you're not allowed to move the seats", so I apologized and moved it back and a really nice patron gave his seat up and moved for us. Once we sat down, we ordered from the bartender. We received our drinks quickly but when our food was out, both of our orders were not correct. We enjoyed the food anyway. The food was really good and my cocktails were great. The only complaint we have is when a plane arrived behind us and the door was open, which allowed the negative temps to plow through the bar area and any table that sat right in front of it. Watch where you ate sitting! Don't sit in front of the airplane terminal during winter. Chili's should put up a curtain or something to block the air chill. It's comically ridiculous.

I noticed many of the low star reviews commented about poor service. I ordered from the to-go section and the lady there was nice. Food was also good (though maybe boosted since I was hungry)

I got the Bacon Avocado Grilled Chicken Sandwich to go, but it came without avocado. It also took more than 10 minutes to prepare, which was longer than I expected to go.

I was literally yelled at for moving a chair. The old blonde bartender looks and acts very angry. I also couldn't order a caesar salad, they were out of dressing. Good news was the mushroom and Swiss burger was perfect!

Stop for food during the layover. The setting was a sketchy seat yourself situation. Too many people not enough seats or staff capacity. The server was good but rushed. Certain entrees were unavailable and trying to cash out was slow. Food was ok. The service was not bad but would be better if there was more staff.

"Made at site" burger patty was great! Could use a but more seasoning, but still very good. Lots of crispy fries with light seasoning (for me seasoning was perfect). Service was ok. Atmosphere, well what's there to says....it's at an airport. Mozzarella mushroom burger could have used more of both - mushrooms and mozzarella!

I'm a usual traveler and have been here for a breakfast although the waitress or service was OK but I can tell the food was not good at all.The choices for breakfast was few and not a good option to choose .I ordered a classic breakfast. I couldn't even finish half of that, and the coffee was not good at all. Very low quality oily and any person randomly could make much a better ege and sausage. The price was around $21.00 before tip! I'm so disappointed ,I should just go to Starbucks and have only my regular Matcha. It was not a good start to my day😔

TURN DOWN THE F ING MUSIC! If I could give ZERO stars I would. Nicely asked twice if the extremely loud and pounding music could be turned down just a bit only to be told by the employees in the restaurant that they had no control over the sound nor soundtrack. Amazing! Air travel is stressful enough and then to get blasted by ear-shattering, awful music at the only sit-down restaurant in Terminal B at DTW is unacceptable. Last time I will give Chili's any business.

The food is just good here, but we had a fantastic waiter by the name of LISA. They were shortstaffed and it was only her second day on the job. She handled a large colume of guests. I hope they can get more help. She was very personable and accommodating.

We were ignored upon seating for 30 minutes. So we got up and left. Sit at the bar for service in the future.

Very poor service. They sat us down and didn't even say a word to us. Food was inside the menu. The atmosphere wasn't great, they kept seating people, but not taking our order for our drinks and we sat for 15 minutes and then we left.

Fly through here often and it's the only bar near my gate to Greenbay and they consistently have the rudest staff of any airport bar any where. I fly for business almost monthly all across the country.

I'm Sure it's hit or miss in an airport restaurant, well I hit and hit it big!! The place was FULL and only one server....but Christie was DYNO-MITE!! She was by herself, but she was in top of it and very friendly while doing it. Ordered and got coffee, and my food within 10 minutes. Two or three tables would empty and they'd fill right back up and she just continued being awesome!! Made my day to get in and out and with an enjoyable time here. Thanks Christie!

I sat at the bar and was ignored for about ten minutes until I was approached by a poorly addressed employee who walked at a snails pace and did not even greet me. The other bartender slapped a menu in front of me and did not even say hello. The owner of this restaurant should be embarrassed by the actions of these passive aggressive untrained rude servers.

I dined here and purchased one glass of wine for around 14.00 $ and was charged 160.00$ extra. Now my account is overdrawn and I have to wait for someone to get back to me as each day goes by I'm getting charged for my account being overdrawn. Nice Mother's Day. Don't even deserve the one star.

Bartender Michelle should be fired. Asked if we could sit at the bar, was told yes. After waiting 10 minutes bartender asked "did you just get here?" Said yes, and she said "well this section is closed." Told her we asked and were told we could sit there, for her to roll her eyes and walk away to help another customer. Went to Andiamo's and shared our experience with them, only for the employees there to know this bartender personally and say they aren't surprised by her bad behavior. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs. Service at the speed of a three toed sloth. Between asking for a beer and it showing up was 12 minutes. My order was completely wrong after a very long wait to actually get this super expensive crap. A burger and a beer and you are at $26. The hamburger buns fall apart as you eat, a sure sign of previously frozen old bread. There is NO REASON to visit this place - NONE.

It appears that my experience wasn't unusual. I got to the restaurant at 9:45 in the morning, and was told they were serving breakfast for 15 more minutes and lunch. What I didn't know this meant was you could ONLY have breakfast for 15 more minutes and if you wanted lunch she would have to wait. I ask what sense this made, and was told that I couldn't expect them to cook both eggs and burgers on the same grill, except they have a burger that has a egg on it as well as bacon. She told me they had to "change over the grills", which I know is completely false. As I couldn't stand the stupidity any more a said, "That's ok, I'll pass..." to which the server snottily said "Have a nice day!" I walked back to Andiamo and they served me immediately.

Horrible. Extremely expensive and the waitress, Susan G. Apparently doesn't understand that people at an airport might need to leave and can't afford to sit around to pay whilst she moves trays around the back room. Tried to pay at the bar but was told you had to wait for your server. The onion pedals while tasty was a very small portion with a very large price tag. A mimosa costs $1.5 per ounce and the margaritas were even more. Pass on this place and go back to the main terminal.

Very limited menu. Was at the bar and my phone was dead, server seemed peeved I ask for a menu instead of scanning the QR code. Overall demeanor of the staff was that they are just not happy and could careless. Never ordered anything other than an unsweetened tea and got out of there. They were not busy and I hope they were just having a bad day. That's why I rated 2 stars instead of 1.

So I ordered on grab trying to save time. My order said ready and wasn't ready on time after waiting an extra 30 minutes for my order it was discussing my burger was dry the looked like oil my bacon was extremely hard I couldn't even bite it. My fry's were ok but too much salt for me. But yeah the food was trash over all $20 down straight into the nearest trash can. Don't eat here save your time and money!

I stood at the podium because there wasn't a sign that said seat yourself or please wait to be seated. Both waitresses looked at me and said nothing. Just continued walking past me. Someone walked around me and asked one of them if it was seat yourself and they said yes. Don't be rude. It takes two seconds to say it's seat yourself.

I have my favorite Chili's at home. Its a good locally run place with good service and decent food. This Chili's though should be ashamed to have the name on it. Service: Terrible. Food: Mediocre and not even lukewarm. Heck, even the Chili seemed to be off. One big piece of meal surrounded by, well, sauce.... The water glass was filmy and I could go on and on. But you have been warned by the reviews on Yelp. Find something else at the airport. This isn't it.

Gruff service. It's like really, you may never see me again, or you may see me twice per week, either way, treat me the same. The greeter is more like air traffic control with an attitude, always trying to steer you to the bar, the push to the bar seating is so intense you wonder if the bartenders are giving them a cut of the tips. Menu is fairly similar to an outside stand alone Chili's, with the exception that this location has a breakfast service. Time wise, I'd give yourself a good half hour to 45 mins as they don't particularly seem to have a sense of urgency despite being an airport location. The food is perhaps two-star quality. A step above fast food. Certainly nothing worthy of a Yelp photo, or something to write home about. Edible? Yes. Tasty? No. More like starchy filler. Drink wise they don't help much either as the service is so poor they'll let you go parched. I must continue searching at DTW.

Enjoyed my stop here. DTW was a connection for me after an international flight so I was all screwed up time wise. They went out of their way and made me a dinner item even though locally it was breakfast time! Bartender made a helluva bloody mary too (double, ketel) Thanks!

Spent 24 hours in the Detroit Airport and this was the spot I choose to eat and drink at. The staff was super cool although they really tried to push the Margarita - I caved. It was one of the worst I had ever had. Bartender quickly made another then another but just could not seem to make it correctly. Grabbed about 3 apps and ended up drinking RUM & COKE.

$9 for a jim beam single, the sweet potato fries were overcooked, and that was about all I could eat here as a vegan. No veggie burger? You serious? Don't come to this airport hungry if you are not a meat eater.

Took my daughter and family here for her birthday, server was very friendly and accommodating. My daughter even received a free cup of ice cream.

When I was waiting in line to be seated, the server offered the guy in front of me to sit anywhere he would like as she smiled. As soon as he turned the corner towards her table, her smile turned into a scowl and complained to her co-worker, "Right into my section." Perhaps she didn't know that her section was included in "anywhere" that she had offered 15 seconds ago. I was eating alone so I was seated in a small table amongst many others. It felt like I was basically eating with the couple next to me for there were probably only 5 inches between our tables. But I get it, there's limited space and it's the airport. Thankfully I was sitting alone so I could use the other chair and table space for my luggage. 10 minutes after I'm seated, my server (different than the one mentioned in the first paragraph) asks me what I would like. The only reason I came here was because I wanted mashed potatoes. Which they did not offer on the menu. Alright, that hurt a little bit but I'll get over it. So I ask for steamed broccoli instead, which was on the menu. "We ran out of broccoli." The broccoli won't be the only thing running out of here if this keeps happening. 10 minutes later, so basically 20 minutes after I'm seated, the server finally brings me my water. And I heard someone else order salmon, which they ran out of as well. They might as well build a track at this Chili's since everything is so good at running. About 40 minutes after I'm seated I am finally brought my food. I ask for some napkins and I only receive 3. Maybe it's just me but I am a napkin fanatic, I need a steady supply during my meal. Making me use 3 napkins the whole meal is like asking Donald Trump to live on minimum wage. I ordered the chicken bacon avocado sandwich. I usually order this everytime I go to the Chili's back home. But this one tasted different. It wasn't bad, but just wasn't good. If this was the first time I had this sandwich, without knowing how good it is supposed to taste, I would not order it again. The server comes back at the end of the meal and was apologetic for not checking up on me. No worries, I honestly just wanted more napkins and water but I was fine. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back here, because there were no mashed potatoes, and this place felt severely understaffed. I'm in no way bashing on any of the workers, they were probably doing their best, but it was still inefficient.

I made a lunch stop here while I waited for my connecting flight in Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. They let me sit wherever I wanted, the waitress seemed really shy/new and she forgot to bring me a water. She was friendly and apologized. The food was good and I had a Margarita which was delicious. The place was clean and not too crowded. The food came out pretty fast and it was your regular Chili's expectations. This place is a good spot to stop and grab some food at a decent price while you wait for your flight!

To the hostess.... No I didn't want to sit at the bar. Also, sorry for bothering you by asking you for a table instead. I guess asking you to do your job of walking people to their table is just too fucking much. After being seated next to the entrance to the kitchen, I then waited several minutes before getting anyone to take a drink order from me. The waitress that took it seemed rather overloaded, but she was friendly. Then another waitress took my main order. The food was typical Chili's fare, and well, it wasn't exceptional but not bad either. On it's own, the food would be worth 3 stars. However, the rude, shitty service from the hostess in the beginning, the fact that she pointed to the crowded bar to have me find a seat even though none were available (" check on the other side" she suggested with a waive- still nothing), and the crappy seat next to the kitchen. The wait staffed seemed overworked, the place just felt like it needed a really good scrubbing and it was not a pleasant experience. I will not visit this Chili's again. DTW is a large airport, and it has many places to eat. Go elsewhere.

Reviews are spot on. Service was blah. Server took my order, came back 5-10 mins later and asked me what kind of soup I ordered, really? Food actually wasn't that bad but I give it 2 stars because of the crappy service. It was slow and my server didn't act like she wanted to be there. I'll pass next time and go somewhere else.

I once had a problem with a gift card here - it hadn't been activated properly before it was gifted to me, so they told me I had to pay. Super annoying, but unavoidable...I thought. I went to a Chili's in California (my destination) and ran into the same problem. The manager came out and said that this happens from time to time and that they had to take my entire gift card, but they refunded my balance in Chili's bucks. Why couldn't the airport location have done this? It should be clear from other reviews that no one at this location has a clue what they're doing. Plenty of good restaurants in the McNamara terminal, so avoid Chili's at all costs.

I ordered the Guiltless Salmon to go..... and since I was connecting, I asked how long will it take? They said 10 minutes....25 minutes later my take out order comes out....several orders placed after mine, came out first... I asked why was my order delayed?? The manager offered me a free drink....but still....you got to be quick at an airport since people have limited time !! Overall the meal was good and lean, like I wanted it....

Stopped by the location at Detroit's Metro Airport. Food was as expected. Service level was a little lacking. Simple things like please and thank you go a long way with me. I will say that dealing with travelers who are sometimes idiots doesn't make the job very enjoyable. The server seemed to disappear for extended periods of time. Other than that not much to say.

Rude staff, ignore customers servers show preference to some people and ignore others. They just don't care. I would rather go hungry than eat here. Had 40 minutes and ordered boneless wings, they served 5 other people wings and said it was fine, had no drink refills and when I tried to crack the ice to get something to drink got a dirty look from the waitress.

In the Detroit airport at 6am, there are just a few places to get breakfast. I didn't want a heavy breakfast from the Coney and was headed to McD's when I noticed that Chili's does breakfast! The breakfast burritos and tacos sounded delicious but didn't have beans or avocado. I know, call me a burrito snob.... I got the classic American breakfast. It was a big plate of food. The potatoes were a bit salty, but altogether it was a lot lighter than a Coney breakfast, which tends to be pretty greasy. The bartender/server was very nice. Overall, I love Chili's for dinner. I'd go there again for brekkie in a heartbeat.

One of the worst meals I've ever had. The hamburger was super thick, dry and tasteless. The tomato was green, and the pickle slice was hard as a rock. The fries were a greasy, soggy, salty mess. I couldn't eat most of it. GROSS!

Terrible! I ordered the Presidente margarita ( my fav at other Chili's) and couldn't believe what I was served! It was limeade without any other tastes!!! And they had the nerve to itemize the bill with $10 for tequila, 3 for another liquor and 2 for yet another. I've never seen such itemization! If the margarita had any taste, I could have overlooked that. But $16 for limeade is ridiculous!!! Avoid this place, no matter how desperate you are.

It's okay. My food was pretty good - salad was fairly fresh, bowl of chili was hot and pretty tasty. Service was dead. My server could not have shown bigger apathy. It was as if she wanted to beam vibes at me that said "your're trapped in the airport, you have no choices, and I don't have to act like I care, because I don't!" Message received. Yo, Chili's: Just because you're in the airport and will likely never see me again does NOT mean you can treat me this way, k? You follow? And for some reason, the Hostess tried to send everybody to the bar. The place was half full at best, with plenty of open tables and plenty of servers to tend them. So while I've yet to find a good choice at Concourse A, I just hate to give money to people who act this way. VOTE WITH YOUR WALLETS!

I don't know.... I am an odd guy who grew up with a familial affinity to chilis. I attempted to take my LA pescatarian gf here before our flight so I could catch a beer and a burger with those seasoned fries, (which are great and unchanged). Her meal was terrible. Now I'm stuck on the tofu again! thanks Chilis for ruining my meat consumption! As an avid and faithful red meat eater, I would like to admit that in my youth I would order the black bean burger for its heavy texture and spicy full taste. At some point, this locations swapped this great veg head patty out for some bogus mushy frozen, worse the grocery store sale variety. should have got chips and salsa instead. walk on my friend, if you have a veg head counter part! I don't usually write reviews or eat at Chili's, but my bartender/server went above and beyond. Erika is a diamond in the rough travel world. She allowed me time to get settled, and then took my order. She clearly loves her job and makes my layover Detroit worthwhile. Will definitely stop here again. Thanks to Delta for re-routing me through Detroit instead of Laguardia.

We arrived with almost 45 minutes before our flight. We believed we had plenty of time for a breakfast burrito. 30 minutes later and seeing that people who had come in after us getting their food but mine was still absent and wasn't even checked up on tells me these guys do not take their jobs seriously. This is an airport and time is of the essence. Do not waste your time with the "idea" of food as it was NOT ever delivered. Pick up the pace guys. Today you failed badly.

Seating was prompt but server was slooow in greeting or taking drink order. On a medium volume night food came out fast but, unfortunately, contained a foreign object so that my salad had to be replaced. The replacement took over 15 mins...ridiculous AND they didn't adjust the check for the inconvenience. I've dined at Chili's all over the place and this was the most disappointing.

This was by far the worst airport food I've ever eaten in my life. We ordered philly cheese steaks and chicken fingers. The cheese steak was dry as a bone with fake cheese on it and the chicken fingers were heavily breaded, deep fried and the chicken was covered in a layer of fat. All the food was inedible. We left it all on the table. Do not eat here unless you want to pay through the nose for the worst meal of your life. Service was horrible as well. hostesses were very rude. Threw the menus on the table and walked away

Just had an early dinner here. We always get chips and salsa to start because it's always fresh. I had the chicken wrap and hubby had the avocado burger. Both were good but what made it great was our waitress Andrea! She is the hardest working waitress I've seen at this location in the 7 years we've been dining here. I hope her manager reads this!

So this is a chili's inside an airport, what do you expect? Chili's isn't great to start with but within the restricted space of an airport with an unwillingly captive audience the expectations of a national chain can't be too high. Cindy are server was nice and relatively attentive, but diet coke and chips and salsa are difficult to screw-up. It's not a fine meal but for some diet cokes and chips with salsa within dtw; it was worth it. If you want a real meal, you should know better than to visit chili's. No complaints here, as expected.

Tastewise, the chicken tortilla soup and boneless buffalo wings were the same as other Chili's. The problem with this particular Chili's was the food was served cold; it wasn't even lukewarm. I suspect the server let my food, which was probably at least lukewarm, sit there while he did who knows what. It makes sense since he took forever to get me the bill when I asked for it, and then took another forever to get the bill to run my credit card. This isn't okay for any airport dining spot; people gotta catch their flights!

Food hit the spot. Bartenders were great and beet was cold. Much better than other places here.

Avoid like the plague even if you like Chili's. I have never spoke with anybody that had anything even close to a halfway decent meal here

Incredibly bad service. I waited 15 minutes before I ordered a water, a diet coke, and a chicken sandwich. 10 minutes later, my diet coke showed up. Never saw the waitress again. I left after 10 minutes. I wasted over 30 minutes to get a diet coke. Not going there again.

The waitress was very kind, but seemed to forget about me, despite the fact that I was practically sitting in the wait station. She wasn't all that busy & still i waited almost 35 minutes after I was done eating before she brought my check. My salad was wilted, not sure if it was due to the age of the lettuce or the mound of dressing they put on top. Wishing I'd gone to Fudruckers instead. That will be the plan for my return flight.

Don't expect this to be your typical Chili's. This is quick, overcooked, bad service, dirty version of a real Chili's. I travel a lot and am in this airport a lot. I gave this place two chances thinking the first time was a fluke....it wasn't. Just go back to my second sentence for both experiences.

Decent. Lets be honest, when you go to a place like this, you expect to be flirted with and over pay for beer. The wait staff is unattentive and the food is just ok. Weak wings.
