The 19 Best Pizza Spots In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"And the award for Best Pizza In The Least Likely Location goes to… Chill Since ‘93. The name of this London-based pizza shop in The Grove sounds like an unlistenable podcast your college roommate started, but bear with us on this one. The Roman-style slices at this casual, order-at-the-counter cafe rival the best in LA. The semi-thick, focaccia-like crust is light and airy, and perfectly absorbs the flavors of various toppings like arugula and prosciutto, soppressata, and our hands-down favorite, charred, golden potatoes. There’s also a large front patio that never gets too crowded and is the ideal pre-movie snack spot." - brant cox, sylvio martins, cathy park

The 7 Best Restaurants At The Grove

"Despite sounding like an unlistenable podcast your old college roommate started, Chill Since 93 is a solid, London-based pizza spot and one of the few hidden treasures inside this capitalist hellscape. The order-at-the-counter shop is located at the end of a quiet alleyway, which means half the tourists don’t know it exists. That’s a good thing. There’s a big patio with tons of open seating—ideal for taking a breather and eating some semi-thick, Roman-style pizza. We like the heat from the spicy soppressata, but if you get one slice, make it the patate. It arrives topped with gooey mozzarella cheese half-absorbed into the crust and a thick layer of sliced potatoes with charred, mountainous peaks. " - brant cox

Chill Since ’93 is an absolute standout in the middle of The Grove. Amid all the busy shopping and crowds, this place delivers truly memorable food with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. We ordered several things, but the Margaret’s pizza completely stole the show. The crust was perfectly light and crisp on the outside, soft and airy inside, with just the right touch of char from the oven. The balance of fresh tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil was spot on—simple ingredients done perfectly. You can tell they really care about quality here. Equally impressive was the service. Zoe, our waiter, made the experience even better—friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. She took time to explain the options, checked in at just the right moments, and made us feel like welcomed guests rather than just another table. If you’re at The Grove and want something beyond the usual chain options, Chill Since ’93 is where you should go. We left happy, full, and already planning to come back. Highly recommend!

10/10. Pizza tastes great. The ambiance is great. They have outdoor seating that is so nice and baby friendly. I wouldn’t repurchase the matcha lemonade however, it wasn’t too special and a bit too sour.

All the decor was amazing, down to the graphics on the parchment and takeout bag. We ordered both types of affogatos which tasted great, especially the matcha affogato. Also got the chicken sandwich which wasn’t anything special.

I was at the grove for the Nike after dark tour and needed to carb load. I found this cute place in search of See’s and immediately went in. I got the Patate pizza with burrata. It’s kinda like a scalloped potato pizza. A personal is $10 and very filling. You can dine in in their cozy place and take in some people watching. Everyone was very friendly and service was great.

Google
The pizza is unreal - deserving of a sprinkling of gold flakes and salt grains tumbled off a prominent elbow. Bold, out-of-the-box flavors that make you pause and wonder “someone needs a pizza building trophy in that kitchen.” That alone almost earned this place a standing ovation. But then… the rest happened. Aesthetically, the place draws you in like a movie set: clean lines, modern vibe, maybe even Instagram-worthy if you’re into that sort of thing. But once seated, it becomes clear — it’s all surface and no soul. Like a Sesame Street backdrop… vibrant, but hollow. Service? Let’s call it “bare minimum chic.” The staff looked and moved like their shift was one Yelp complaint away from existential collapse. I asked the manager to break a $20 so I could leave a tip, and you’d have thought I asked him to disassemble a Rolex with his bare hands. Just bizarre. (Still wondering, why everyone else got plates - we got boxes… was this a tourist snub? - we indicated we would be dining in…” And speaking of bizarre — no fountain drinks. Only bottled sodas, made from real cane sugar (my favorite type), but these were just a notch above room temp. Like, “we left this in the shade under the awning” - “YO”… (ahem..) Seating? Imagine cafeteria meets minimalist design — pleasing only to those wishing for a warm soak in oil, tightly packed aluminum can with a pull top lid - serving just enough function to eat if your stay is brief and your comfort seeking standards aren’t high. All in all - I’d have had a better time picking it up and eating it out the back of my truck, radio on, watching Beverly Hillbillies from a distance…

Google
I wasn’t too impressed with the pizza here. It was a bit on the bready side and didn’t really stand out. That being said, the sauce was pretty good and so was the buffalo mozzarella on the margherita slice. Services was alright - the guy helping us out got us a table and then moved us to a better one with more space when it became available. However, I came here in a group of three and all of our orders came at different times so we weren’t even really able to eat together.

Google
Margherita pizza sucked. It was cold and soggy, like they never heat it up. Flavor was bland as well. My friend ordered the patate which was actually warm and tasted alright. Definitely would not come here again lol

Google
The food is so good I can’t stop eating it! My favourite is bresaola focaccia with cherry tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella. They have the best ingredients! This lady Mariam was super friendly and recommended some great choices!

Yelp
Obsessed with their pizza! I always come back for the arugula and prosciutto slice--add burrata and a drizzle of hot honey on the side, and it's absolute perfection. The crust is spot on, and the toppings are always fresh. Also, shoutout to Robert, the waiter--so helpful and genuinely welcoming. Great vibes all around!

Yelp
i feel like this place is lowkey a hidden gem at the grove! they have really cute merch and the most delicious focaccia sand which! lots of seating and friendly staff! sandwich was delish and still dream about the next time i'll get it again. was super fresh and warm. the focaccia and prosciutto was nicely crisped and complimented well with the hot honey sauce and the arugula and cheese. highly recommend stopping by if your at the grove looking for a more casual eating experience!

Yelp
Chilli Since 93 was a very pleasant find! We are visiting LA for the first time and we're walking around The Grove which has shops, restaurants and an AMC Movie Theater. We decided after roaming around that Chilli would be our lunch choice. The service was great as we were greeted immediately. The way this place work is seat yourself and the staff will come to you to order your food. This place is a pay first then you get your food place be prepared to pay once you have placed your order. The pizza was fresh, and had a great flavor. The amount of pepperoni is soooooo darn good! We ordered Pepperoni Slice (one with very very light cheese) and an Arugula and Prosciutto Slice. The location is nice, you do have to pay for parking at The Gove. Also, Chilli while we were there kept the tables cleaned and ready for the next guests. I recommend a stop here and hope you enjoy it as much as we did. See you soon Chilli!

Yelp
Food was perfect. I got a sandwich and it was huge. I probably could have gotten the half because it was so ginormous!!! It was all amazing. Good choice to have balsamic glaze and pepper flakes on the table. Quite a bit of outdoor seating too. Pretty expensive, but it is in the grove. Thanks guys.

Yelp
Needed something easy to grab-and-go for takeout at the Grove and heard that this is from Brandy Melville. With a good amount of seating both indoors and outdoors, the place was definitely busy for Sunday lunch, as it is a good place for a casual meetup. I ordered through the kiosk and decided on the patate pizza, since it isn't something you see often. While I was waiting, there was self serve water to the side. My order was brought out hot and neatly packaged. The patate pizza is definitely worth a try. The crust was crispy and loved the olive oil and crispy potato on the top but also the softer potatoes underneath - great texture and flavor. Overall, the place lives up to its name serving up chill vibes and staff seemed pretty nice.

Yelp
Unexpectedly, a fan! For $10 each, we were all full and some of us took home leftovers. The food was tasty They have some seating inside and a covered and lit patio outside. It has a very relaxed and casual vibe that truly suits The Grove.

Yelp
Great atmosphere for a quick bite in the grove. Indoor and outdoor seating. Square, thick crusted pizza. Plenty of prosciutto and arugula! Flavorful sauce, crisp crust. Dine in or to go option.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best pizza spots I've tried! I ordered the potato pizza (trust me--just do it), and my kids got classic pepperoni. My son had his with hot honey drizzled on top, and he's still talking about it. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and made with love. The vibes in here are immaculate--great music, cool atmosphere, and chill energy all around. Definitely our new go-to pizza spot. Run, don't walk ! (I ate it so fast I didn't take any pics :(..)

Yelp
I got an oatmilk latte and it was creamy and smooth. They ONLY serve oatmilk at this establishment. Some fun merchandise you can buy and also desserts.

Yelp
Went on a mini pizza tour today near the Groove. Had to get the cookie. It honestly tasted ok. Felt like it was missing something. Good size. Not really sweet. Combo of soft and hard. 3/5 Pizza was good. 4/5. Nothing spectacular but good. Made fresh and all but felt like it was missing that last star. Nice vibe inside. From what I was told you can only eat inside if you order in. Friendly staff.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place. I ordered the pepperoni pizza; my friend ordered the chicken Sandwich. There were a few tables inside the small restaurant with the majority of the tables in an outside seating area. It was a nice morning, we chose to sit outside. Our server was cordial. I thought my Pizza was excellent, but I thought my friend's chicken sandwich was good but somewhat bland. For what we paid, I thought the portions were generous. I would definitely go back there!
google avatar

Glory A.

Yelp
Upsetting. Ordered a whole pizza via DoorDash and the pizza came cold, not freshly baked. The cheese was solid versus when it's freshly made! There's no way the pizza that's freshly baked straight from oven would have gotten cold like that. I don't live far from the location. SMH. Prince pizza is located further and their pizza comes delivered to us hot! SMH.

Yelp
I highly recommend Chill Since 93 if you're near or at The Grove. Great for an inexpensive but tasty meal. You can order pizza by the slice or whole, and they do make focaccia sandwiches as well. I tried their Patate slice and its cut into 4 slices for $10. The crust was crispy and it was seasoned well. The matcha latte was good as well. Their outdoor seating feels like you're eating on a picnic table and it's definitely a vibe. If you're dining in, staff will give you a number and you can sit anywhere. They will bring out the food to you.

Yelp
Tucked in the corner past the OVO store is a unique casual pizza spot. Pizza slices are served on focaccia and are huge. The zucchini flowers was delicious. While it was very busy, service was still prompt and team members friendly.
google avatar

Kristen C.

Yelp
Solid sandwich and pizza spot tucked in the corner of the Grove. Portions are quite large with the sandwiches (photo pictures just one half) and pizza slices come with four small squares of the pizza. Very nice setting with ample picnic tables/patio seating. Mellow music such as the Beatles played in the background when we were there. All the servers were very friendly and helpful but the service was a tad on the slow side. Just a FYI if you order coffee the only milk option is oat milk.
google avatar

Vivianna G.

Yelp
Just like in the name, it is very chill. Their QR menu had photos of each item which was very helpful and it had plenty to choose from. This was our second time here. Today we had their pepperoni personal pizza which we shared, we got two slices each from the personal pizza which I think is great! Love eating here when we visit the grove. My only complaint is that it is hard to get a staff's attention to be seated. Other than that, it's great!
google avatar

Linda Y.

Yelp
This is a place at the Grove shopping plaza towards the end of Lala land Café! This place gets super busy because I'm guessing that this is the only affordable restaurant at the shopping plaza lol. I definitely will not get the cookie again. It was super hard, and the flavor was mid. However, what's worth getting is the half sandwich! I got the beef one which was super good with the arugula! The staff here are teens and definitely worth not getting the drinks, but I was interested in soft serve!
google avatar

Cece L.

Yelp
Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! Zucchini slices were yum!! The cookies are so good too! They warm it up if you want, which is just the best way to eat their cookies. Staff are friendly and attentive. They come out to clean up the outside sitting area.
google avatar

Zainab M.

Yelp
Overall great experience, it's a nice spot to take a break from shopping and grab a bite to eat! Love the overall vibes, it's very true to the brand! We all got a slice to eat and we all loved it, the favorite being the patate slice. Even the guy helping us mentioned it was his favorite and we could see why, we had never tried anything like it and all the different flavors were delicious. Service was amazing, they gave us plenty of time and didn't rush us even though it was quite busy! The only "surprise" factor was that when I got the margherita slice I wasn't expecting for the cheese to be cold, which was probably my mistake for not asking but I wish it mentioned it on the menu! Still a great slice though, it was really refreshing and surprisingly light but still filling! We parked at the farmers market and just walked over as we planned to do some shopping! Worked out perfectly and we got the parking validated when we purchased stuff at the market
google avatar

Jessica A.

Yelp
I've always seen this place all over social media so I was excited to try it out! The service was pretty quick considering it was a little packed and the workers are super friendly! The ambiance is pretty chill tbh considering it's at the grove. I got a Pepperoni Slice and it was DELICIOUS!!!! Super crispy and flavorful. I loved that each table had olive oil cuz i dipped some of my pizza bread in it and it was soooo good. I also ordered a Matcha latte but the server accidentally ordered me a chai and then the chai was gross very bland. But overall, I'll be returning! The pizza was too good.
google avatar

Jetrina M.

Yelp
We went here for dinner after visiting the grove to see the giant Christmas tree. They have many outdoor tables and a few indoor ones that are reserved for people who are dining in. It was a bit confusing at first because they didn't have a check-in stand, but we were able to get seated quickly. We ordered 3 pizza slices to share between 2 people - the spicy soppresata, arugula and prosciutto and patate with sausage. It was a good amount of food to share and we were both full by the end. Outdoor seating is dog friendly. We parked at the farmers market and got validation by purchasing something in the market.
google avatar

Alexander V.

Yelp
Absolutely delightful place to sit down and enjoy a good sandwich! I got the bresaola arugula parmigiano and it was amazing! I enjoyed every bite and it was so easy to order and receive since it's all easy to understand from the get go. You order on the iPad and wait for the worker to bring your sandwich! It was so easy and the location makes it so much more enjoyable. Everything was great and I enjoyed every second of eating here.

Yelp
Such a pleasant surprise ! Came in with our daughter who really wanted to have a quick lunch at the brandi Melville cafe she heard about so much I had low expectations but was very pleasantly surprised . We ordered the mortadella burrata focaccia (half sandwich ) which was really tasty and quite large for a half portion . This one was 4.2/5 Daughter ordered the cheese pizza slice which was also quite good - it was a grandma style pizza and was very tasty !(although this is not my favourite pizza style ) Daughter also tried the cold mocha and was pleasantly surprised . Said it was one of the best she had This is a really cute place , and the menu looks awesome . Recommended !!
google avatar

Aaron T.

Yelp
If you're at The Grove and would like a good bite to eat. Order the mortadella sandwich. As you're eating this delightful sandwich, you'll be wondering how you never noticed this warm, rich little spot off the beaten path at The Grove. Top all that off with the quality service and you'll be sure to leave with a smile on your face.
google avatar

Kara S.

Yelp
I think I want to start off with the service. It was impeccable. They were so attentive and so nice. Very chill (hehe). This place is great for a quick bite. We got the chicken sandwich, a few pizzas, and their amazing focaccia bread (chef's kiss). They tend to get busy during lunch time. We went there right before lunchtime so was seated immediately but there is definitely a wait as you near lunch hour.
google avatar

Erik E.

Yelp
Pepperoni pizza was so delicious crispy and cheesy with right amount of marinara sauce. Service was amazing and fast! Staff were super friendly and attentive. Ambiance is super chill with great music to vibe with! Definitely coming back for more!!!
google avatar

Raya M.

Yelp
It took a minute but I was finally able to come back and try this place again and we were so happy that it was even better than the first time. Their sandwiches are perfection, amazing mortadella, quality burrata and the best part is the bread. Their house made bread is amazing (for the sandwiches and pizza), it's perfectly light, crispy, and delicious. Their mortadella burrata sandwich is 10x better than all antico vinao, in every way possible. Their pepperoni pizza is really good, comparable to prince st. Pizza, just not at heavy and the bread is slightly different. I love how thin and crispy the pepperoni is, and really love that the bread isn't so heavy and greasy. If you haven't been here yet, I highly recommend it, and to be honest this is the best place to eat at the grove by a mile! Only thing I wouldn't recommend is the cookie, we tried the walnut chocolate chip cookie and it was pretty bad, we barely even ate it because it was not good and so not worth the calories, barely any chocolate, seemed almost burnt, one of the worst cookies I've ever had. Makes me think I should stick to the savory items here.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
It's hard to stand out in a field of great pizza shops in Los Angeles, but Chill Since 93 definitely does. I was super impressed by their Potato pizza -- tasted like rosemary potato chips, but in pizza form?! So good, I'd come back just for that. Pizza dough was perfectly cooked, with large pieces of potato and generous seasoning. Located in the Grove, it is definitely busy, but I'd brave the hordes of tourists to come again. Order at the counter and take a number placard.
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
Such a unique spot to eat! Everything we've tried so far has been delicious! The wait for food can be kindof long depending on how crowded it is, but the freshness of the food makes up for it! They have a good amount of seating outside, so we never had a problem finding a place to sit after ordering. And the price you can't beat for the size of the food! Highly recommend if you are looking for upscale food on a budget!!
google avatar

Vi H.

Yelp
Wasn't expecting much from this place, but it was amazing! The slice is so generously loaded with pepperoni. They also gave us a brownie instead of a cookie, but ended up letting us have both!
google avatar

Niki D.

Yelp
Everything I got here was so good! I'll definitely be coming back. The matcha and lemonade were both great drinks for their price, and everything I tried was amazing. The vibe inside the place was also super cute, with merch for purchase, olive oil at every table, and an outdoor seating area. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the system for ordering food was a little confusing. You order from the kiosk if you want to take out a to go order, and wait to be seated if you want to dine in. However there aren't too many workers around and the place is a little small so it can get a little disorganized.
google avatar

Nik J.

Yelp
Wow! I can't tell if this is a hidden gem or if I just never wandered around The Grove enough to find it but this is my friend's favorite stop and I can see why. Fresh ingredients, friendly service, and easy to order. You can order online or at their kiosk. Their specials are so tasty sounding it's hard to choose. I chose the truffle prosciutto with buffalo mozzarella and it was full of good truffle and prosciutto flavor on top of a crispy crust. Really indulgent. I want to come back and try the rest!
google avatar

Maura C.

Yelp
Who would have thought that this little shop tucked into the Grove would have such fabulous pizza?? I stopped by to grab a bite one night and was blown away by the pizza. You order at one of the counter kiosks, have a seat, and the food is brought out to you -- fairly quickly in my experience. The inside space is fairly small but they have some tables outside, so seating was not an issue. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful too. I appreciate that they allow you to customize your order, as I was able to add hot honey to mine which was a fabulous choice. The patate pizza is an incredibly unique selection, with thin and crispy potatoes, mozzarella, rosemary, and olive oil. It is perfectly crispy and has a very rich, savory flavor, but I wish the dough base was more of a fluffy focaccia. I got a side of marinara sauce to dip it in and highly recommend doing that, as it added a bit of tang! Their lemonade was nothing special but it was nice and refreshing. Will surely be going back!
google avatar

Kiran S.

Yelp
Roman style pizza has made it to the Grove! They have pizza and sandwiches at this fast casual restaurant. The ambiance is covered outside with ceiling heaters & cute lights and our service was great! Will definitely be coming back to try their sandwiches and maybe a morning visit for their coffee & pastries!
google avatar

Victoria T.

Yelp
Quick spot for lunch. Love the thin pizza dough and anything prosciutto. Takes available outside for sit down. Located in The Grove close to other shops.
google avatar

J F.

Yelp
As many times as we've visited The Grove I have no idea why I took us so long to discover this gem. The homemade cookies are the only things we've tried. They are DELICIOUS! I was informed today by one of their employees today that their sandwiches and pizzas are very popular as well. I'll have to add that to our list the next time we're here. The vibes are super chill.
google avatar

Shawn S.

Yelp
Tried this new pizzza/sandwich shop walking around at the grove. Ordered 2 slices and the foccacia bread on the side. Cheese slice is nice. Tasted fresh and the tomatoes sauce was not too sweet which I liked. The potatoe slice is something different. A little pepper bite and could taste the rosmeary and the good olive oil. Potatoes done perfectly mixed with onion. A delicious bite. Also try the balsamic glaze and olive oil at the table. Really nice app with the foccacia. Will try this place again. Service was easy and friendly. Kind of casual atmosphere and great place for families to get a quick bite. Servers all around to help you with seating and just a nice day LA spot can't miss.
google avatar

Jasmine B.

Yelp
The sandwich was so good. I have no idea what it was. They didn't have the cheese for the sandwich I wanted to order and suggested an alternative. It had ham cheese and pistachios. The bread was really good. i also ordered a pizza and a matcha. The pizza was interesting and had a ton of pepperoni but lacked flavor. The matcha was better than lalaland, which had a huge line.
google avatar

Tony C.

Yelp
I'm really happy with their coffee and pizza! I usually get the Pizza Margarita and a juice! It's very tasty and not too expensive! You can taste the quality of their food! The service is excellent! I've never had a problem with them! It's a nice place to sit down and enjoy the good vibes!

Yelp
I've been searching for the top Italian style sandwiches in the area and Chill Since 93 was on my list of 3. It also happened to be the last restaurant of my list to try as I had visited the others in previous weeks. I only got to try the Country sandwich here and only one sandwich at a each of the other two restaurants. But, based on what I did get to try, Chill has the best Italian Style sandwich. I also tried their PATATE SAUSAGE SLICE. It was pretty good but I can't say it is the best italian style pizza around here since it's the only one I've tried around here. COUNTRY SANDWICH The bread was perfect. It's toasted perfectly where it has a nice crunch but is still pleasant to bite through. They use quality ingredients. The cheese, tomatoes, and prosciutto were all so good and the sandwich flavors were so well balanced. The sandwich bread was also really nice and warm. This wasn't the case at the other restaurants I visited. PATATE SAUSAGE SLICE Pretty good, just not as good as the sandwich. Looking at pictures, I think they have or had a variation that has no sausage. I'm glad that this one has sausage though as it had just the right flavor. The pizza is on the thicker side but the crust here is still good and enjoyable. SERVICE They have kiosks where you can order on your own or you can go up to an employee and order from them. You then grab a number for your table and wait for them to bring your food. PARKING This restaurant is at the Grove. Typical Grove parking. Parking garage (paid) or street (usually meters)

Yelp
The spicy sopresata was good. I wanted to like the Chicken Sandwich, however, the breading wasn't super crispy, and the flavors were a tad bit bland. The breading also got a little mushy.
google avatar

Remy H.

Yelp
Always love a spot that has pizza with potato toppings! Appreciate that the slices are cut into 4 pieces. Tried the patate and margherita slices and both were delicious! Will definitely be back
google avatar

Hayley C.

Yelp
my friend and I stopped here to try out the italian sandwiches, because they reminded me of all'antico !! we both got the mortadella buratta sandwich but she got hers with veggies. the sandwich was good, but honestly it needed either a separate sauce to compliment the buratta (like a pistachio creme), or just more of the buratta. the flavor was good but it needed more of something like I said, because it got kind of dry and boring in places where there wasn't any cheese. bread was good though. service was fine, but the water that they were serving was kinda hot for some reason.
google avatar

Melanie H.

Yelp
Honestly I had pretty low expectations upon hearing brandy opened their own cafe but it was actually not bad! They had a fair selection of items and the pizza slice was so much bigger than expected (Which is good because if it was smaller it wouldn't have been worth like $10)! The place was cute with their outdoor seating and various pizza topping sauces! The arugula prosciutto pizza was a little dry in my opinion on its own but they def don't skimp on the topping! Overall a fun place to check out post shopping!

The pizza and sandwiches are so good! The quality of the food is amazing, tastes like stuff i've had in Italy. Their coffee and matcha are also yummy!! My go-to when I visit the Grove :)

Yelp
The brandy hype is only semi justified. I came on a Saturday at around lunch so this location is quite busy. The food and drinks are fairly priced and of course being Brandy you are eating seated next to their clothing and merchandise at some points in the store. The pizza we got was good and very fairly priced though I forgot a picture. 8.7/10 It did take quite a minute to come out though it was busy so you do have to pay attention to the server who calls your name and walks it out. As for the matcha it was the worse matcha I've ever had in my life -5/10 and we got 3 matches all sweetened differently. Overall though it was not horrible i'd recommend you stick to food and get your beverages elsewhere.

Yelp
Tucked in the back corner of the Grove right next to the Brandy Melville Storefront Chill Since 93 is a smaller, indoor/outdoor eatery mixed in with some branded merch. We went on a Thursday early evening and it was pretty busy. The pizza is good and you get a nice square for the price. They have store brand merch which is pretty cool too. They also have a variety of sweets and beverages (alcoholic and non) to choose from. Overall a pretty neat place to kick back and "chill".
