Chilliesine (West)

"Now with two branches in Taichung, Chilliesine has been serving authentic food from across India since 2015. The kitchen team hails from both the north and the south and cooks exclusively with spices from home – you can specify your desired spiciness in certain dishes. Tandoori chicken packs a punch with big flavours and aromas; Chanda masala is not to be missed either. The menu also offers vegan options and popular choices for children." - Michelin Inspector

The original location of the Michelin-rated Indian. Goes without saying that the food is excellent—best Indian in Taichung, as far as I can tell. Much prefer this location to the Xitun one (the only other I have tried), as it is smaller and friendlier.

This is my first time, food had rich flavor, thought it was small portion, but actually end up full after 3 spoon. Nice atmosphere that you can enjoy, it is near by Fine art museum.

We had heard a lot about Chillisine and wanted to try it. We were not disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We were a party 3 and shared a Aloo Gobi, Chicken Tikka and a mixed seafood Korma, it was all fantastic.

Strongly recommend that Indian restaurant you may believed in the foods and services while you eaten, experienced. Pumpkin soup, Hit Masala Milk Tea and Mix Tikka are my most favorite meals at here. Last, enjoy your meal with your family or friends in the future.

Food is tasty except fish curry, that one is too plain. As for their service... Since we were around the time to leave (maybe in 20 mins), when we pressed the bottom to ask for adding water, no one came :( And the weird thing is, some of their waitresses or waiters can't even speak Mandarin. Esp you open a restaurant in TW, no Mandarin offered lol.

I’ve been here a few times and prefer it to other Indian restaurants (been to a fair few) and even prefer to another Chilliesine I’ve been to here in Taichung. We asked for very spicy curry and it was nice and spicy (sometimes you ask and it’s still mild). The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere and the staff were great with good English. Curry was delicious with basmati rice and garlic nan. Daughter had chicken biryani which she enjoyed. Plenty of parking around and a little park outside if you have kids. I’ll definitely be going back at some point and do recommend

Indian food! Curiously, their branding seems to have more English than Chinese Their naan and rice was good. The plain tassi tastes like plain yogurt, which makes sense. The samosas were very filling Apparently if you give them a review, you get a free dessert as well, which is very nice of them

Love coming here. I've also tried all kinds of chicken curry, but I think their butter chicken is the best. Also, gotta try some of their mocktails, I've only tried a few but the Bali Lemonade was pretty good.
