I visited Chima Steakhouse in Tysons Corner, VA on April 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM (Table 17, Check #35). While the valet service was excellent and the food was good, the overall service experience was extremely disappointing.
From the very beginning, I noticed an issue — the staff attempted to switch the wine I ordered for a different one, which felt like a deliberate scam. As our meal progressed, the service continued to decline. Although lunch ends at 3:00 PM, no one mentioned this upfront. Instead, the staff gradually stopped serving us and made us feel unwelcome through their attitude and behavior.
It became so uncomfortable that no one even offered us dessert or asked if we’d like another bottle of wine. Instead, we were indirectly pressured and told in an aggressive, unprofessional tone that if we stayed, we’d have to pay extra for dinner.
Our server, Ehab A. D., was particularly dismissive and unhelpful. It was a disappointing experience, especially for a restaurant with such a good reputation and premium pricing.
However, to their credit, the Manager, Malak Farag, personally reached out to me to sincerely apologize for Ehab’s behavior and assured me that the issue would be addressed. As a business owner myself, I genuinely appreciated this gesture. It was handled with professionalism and care — exactly how a great manager should respond.
Because of this, I plan to return to Chima Steakhouse this weekend or the next to see the improvements for myself. I value how they took the time to make things right.
