"Chimney is pretty new to our lives, but are a welcome addition. The thing you should really know is that both their coffee AND food is awesome. You could come here, get an amazing lunch, grab an iced coffee to go, and you'll be really happy. It's over in the more industrial area of Chinatown that seems to be developing recently. Was delightfully surprised by this hidden coffeeshop in Chinatown. It was a quick 7-min drive from Elysian Park and parking was plentiful in the lot in front of the shop. Just picked a banana walnut muffin and maple latte but they have a full breakfast/lunch menu. The ambience was great for small gatherings, working on laptops or even a first date. Only downside was that the bathroom was in serious need of cleaning.

First time here, hidden gem. Tons of free parking in the lot and some street parking available. Friendly helpful service. Large menu, great options. Food available as well. Very clean, great atmosphere, lots of seating inside. Restrooms available as well. Highly recommend and would return. Very fair prices and good size portions

Really enjoyed the food and will definitely be back to try their coffee. The only downside was that my husband ordered avocado toast but was told they were out—yet, not long after, we saw someone who arrived after us get served the same dish. That was a bit odd.

The food was ok! Their menu was very limited. They were out of sweets at 9 am. And, when I asked for English breakfast black tea, they said they only have regular black tea! Didn't even know what regular black tea was! It didn't taste like ant black tea I've ever had!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 If you’re looking for a chill spot in Chinatown to start your day, THIS is the place! Picture this: morning coffee ☕ in one hand, laptop in the other, and a record player spinning sweet tunes in the background 🎶. It's got the vibes for days! The crew here? Straight-up legends 👑—super friendly and more than happy to help you pick the perfect breakfast combo. Now, let's talk food. I went for the breakfast burrito 🌯 because, honestly, you can't go wrong with a classic. My girlfriend tried the "Candy B.E.A" Sandwich with Tamarind Candy Bacon 🥓, and let me tell you, that thing was a flavor bomb 💥! Whoever thought of putting tamarind and bacon together deserves a medal 🥇. It’s the kind of place where you can chill, get some work done 💻, and just enjoy the morning vibe. Plus, it’s Chinatown, so you know the energy is on point. Can’t wait to swing by again when I’m in the area!

Google
The food is good! The coffee is great! Prices are high but typical for LA. My sandwich was very filling! Would absolutely come back and try other things. Cute place to sit and hang out with friends while sipping on coffee. The service is wonderful, everyone there was so nice and kind. Parking is a small lot that’s also for LAX-C market and other stores. But it’s free. Spaces are tight and they cut off the exit of a one way narrow section so to exit you have to turn back around going the wrong way technically and trying to maneuver past oncoming cars to exit.

Google
Lovely coffee shop a bit expensive but average for LA. Swamp drink (matcha and chai) was very good ! Expect to pay 6-8 for a drink. Not very crowded at lunch, a few outlets. Lots of activity in the parking lot. Inside, no music so a good place if you don’t mind a bit of quiet ! Breakfast sandwich was very good, a bit hard to eat as the egg kept slipping from the buns (double egg, scrambled and fried).

Love everything about Chimney Coffee! The staff are sweet, the coffee is consistently on point, and the vibe is clean + casual. Parking is easy right in front, and Thai groceries / dining / breweries are all in walking distance. They are open most days 7am-4pm, and Wi-Fi is free + fast. I usually tutor or get work done here, and definitely prefer the espresso over the matcha. My go-to is the large iced latte, which is about $7. Also love their Cobb salad, which includes greens, onion, tomato, avocado, boiled egg, and bacon. Check this place out!

Yelp
This is a great cafe to do work or catch up with a friend. During my visit I did both! The coffee is great and their food is even better! The avocado toast sandwich is what I tried, and it was soooooo good. I'd definitely come back just to try their other menu items. The service is great. The staff were extremely helpful in answering any questions or concerns that I had, and even had some recommendations to give me which I appreciated! The inside of the cafe is spacious and has lots of seating. I love the natural lighting and the ambiance of the space as well. It's not too overstimulating and great for chatting with a friend or even doing some work and journaling.

Yelp
This coffee shop had plenty of parking! The cafe was really big and had a lot of seating! It was spread out enough so if you were there to do some work you didn't feel so crammed in! The service was great! The staff was friendly and answered our questions and gave us recommendations! You could also order online and pick up at the store if that's something you needed to do for time! We ordered a hot hazelnut latte, Taylor's iced caramel latte, a chocolate chip cookie, and the B.A.E sandwich. First, let's talk about that B.A.E sandwich! The croissant was so fresh and delicious! The sandwich had bacon, avocado, and egg. This was by far one of the best breakfast sandwiches we have had! The iced caramel latte was so yummy! You could tell because I forgot to take a picture and finished half of it before I remembered lol! It was so creamy and the caramel was perfect in it! The hot hazelnut latte was very flavorful! The chocolate chip cookie was perfect! It had a gooey and crunchy texture which we loved! Pricing was average! We would definitely recommend this coffee shop! We can't wait to go back! If you go, definitely get the B.A.E sandwich!

Yelp
I've come here on two occasions and gotten food to go. Both times have been very quick and easy. The first time I had the breakfast sandwich and it was life changing! So so yummy!! The 2nd time I had the breakfast burrito. It was very good, but not my favorite. The cheese on the outside was so delicious though! And the best part... a parking lot!!! Will definitely be back

Yelp
4+ great coffee shop that also serve some food that's located in the north east area downtown. I've been to this place a few times and even bought some coffee beans here during the pandemic. The place is pretty sizable, there are a bunch of chairs to hang out at, and the service has always been friendly. My most recent trip I just wanted a little pick me up in the middle of the day and I was in the area. It was hot outside so I ordered one of their summer drinks - 'Summer Espressoda Tropical' - espresso, honey, vanilla, & orange tepache. Plenty of caffeine and it was refreshing. There's some parking in the lot and parking along the street nearby.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast and some coffee this morning while we waited for our bus. The ambiance inside the restaurant was very peaceful and modern. They had tables for you to dine in or get some work done while drinking your coffee. They have a wide range of food and coffees from breakfast to lunch which Is available all day. We got... Bae sandwich - this sandwich was decent. The bread was good and it was packed with flavors. 4/5 French toast - it was a little hard. I expected it to be more soft and fluffy but it was hard unfortunately. Mid flavors. 2.5/5 Chicken and waffles - the chicken were a bit over fried in my opinion which is unfortunate because the flavors definitely there. Waffle was okay. The syrup that came with it must have been house made cause it had a bit of an acquired taste at the end - 3/5 Bangkok coffee - this was not good at all. Water down. Tasted like LA water. - 1/5 Great spot to work or study but the food was mid. The staff were friendly though.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop downtown/Chinatown! There seems to be some parking with a guard(?) but we'd walked there after having dim sum so I'm not so sure. The location is definitely a little strange in the plaza but inside is nice. The store has decent seating on wood tables and there were some people with laptops working when we stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, as well as a number of people picking up coffees to go. Special menu items Bangkok Iced Coffee (sweetened cold brew?) and Kyoto Iced Coffee (slow drip?) caught my eye, as well as the funny "The LA water" matcha/milk/coconut water offering. Unfortunately while customer service was kind they didn't do quite such a good job explaining the different iced coffees to me hence the lack of clarity on what they are. Regardless, my friend and I tried a Kyoto Iced Coffee and Lemonade (why not on a hot day?) and both were satisfactory. The Kyoto was very smooth, especially leaving a good finish. The lemonade was not super unique but it was a sweet and tangy pulp-less choice. Both drinks were around $5 each (see menu picture) which I feel is fairly standard. There seemed to be interesting food options available too.

Yelp
We stumbled into this cafe after we had been waiting to be seated at a near by place. This service was quick, friendly and the food was amazing! I loved the wooden tables and chairs. We ordered to drink: orange juice, drip coffee and we here curious enough to try the swamp water :) To eat we had: Kimchi Toast, Pancakes Breakfast, Breakfast burrito and a cob salad. Yummy! The taste as delicious as they look! Pancakes are home made batter. They taste very buttery :)
google avatar

Mandy A.

Yelp
I had Bangkok coffee and Bae sandwich. The sandwich was really good tasting both sweet and salty, little bit on heavy side. I had my latte with oat milk, however, I didn't taste any oat milk, mostly it was too watery.

Yelp
Local coffee place in Chinatown near LAX-C! I've tried it twice now. Free parking in its lot and plenty of tables for anyone looking to do some work in a coffee shop. Impeccably clean!! Coffee was pretty standard but I did enjoy the Bangkok coffee (cold brew with some extra spices). The breakfast sandwich is amazing though!! I was shocked at the amount of avocado they gave me the first time! It's a pretty hefty sandwich and I love the soft bread even though the insides were slipping out. Definitely worth the price imo. This sandwich is definitely why I rated it 5 stars, but honestly it does seem like a great place to get some work done (I always take everything to go.)

Yelp
CHIMNEY COFFEE HOUSE is found in the same center as LAX-C, no connection to the airport. It's a wholesaler for Thai restaurants. I was not in the mood for more meat at this time and was happy to see that they had ROMA TOMATO TOAST. The bread was escellent, the tomatoes were sufficiently bakes/roasted and the cheese was generous and yummy. The AVOCADO TOAST was also delicious even though my kid murdered it by requesting that most of the stuff be removed (cucumbers, etc) The FRENCH TOAST was yummy. The PANCAKE STACK is large and fluffy and delicious. The BANGKOK COFFEE is awesome. I would totally order this again. The LATTE is ok. The THAI TEA and Lemonade is good. The Crispy chicken sandwich is great. It was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and well seasoned. The fries that came with it is cooked well. The chocolate chip cookie is large and delicious. They have their own parking lot and it's free. There is only one way in and out of the center, FYI. The cashier who took our order was patient and helpful. The barista was fast. The indoor eating are is large. Merch available

Yelp
I tried the iced white chocolate latte with oat milk, and it was amazing! The vibe inside the coffee shop is really chill, perfect for meeting up with friends, working remotely, or studying. What makes it even cooler is that it's located at the LAX Thai supermarket I used to go to with my parents growing up. Plus, having a parking lot is definitely a bonus. Highly recommend checking it out!

Yelp
I'm glad I found this place! It's a cute little coffee shop in Chinatown near union station. I wanted a nice filling breakfast before heading off to LAX & this was the perfect place for that. Loved the milk bread and the egg was well seasoned going well with the cheese avocado. The home fries were good as well - crispy but definitely on the large size & irregularly shaped. But I liked my meal a lot! It was filling, simple, but delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome service! Team was knowledgeable and explain what the drinks where and helped order the Bangkok Iced Coffee! It is a must try! Strong, creamy, slight sweetness to it. 10/10 I do recommend, yes I am coming back!
google avatar

Claudia S.

Yelp
Fave avocado toast!!! The candy BAE is pure sin. Order two cause you're bound to want more. Cool ambience. Cool music. Servers are meh, but the food is worth the uninviting faces that appear bothered to have to give you an extra napkin.

Yelp
Great food, great taste , fabulous coffee.. great atmosphere , restaurant traffic flows easy

Yelp
Sorry to say but I'm not impressed with the quality of the service and the knowledge and attitude of the person who work there. I give a 4 star for the ambiance and the decorations though. I asked the person who work there of what is their specialty in their coffee but she does not even know what they are. The quality drink is mediocre I'm okay not to be back here again
google avatar

Yelp
On-site parking! Wifi! Outlets! Chimney coffee house is a nice place to go to if you want to just catch up with friends or even spend some time doing work. I saw people doing both. I came here Saturday afternoon to do the latter. They serve food as well as coffee and pastries. Not a lot of vegetarian options. I opted for the uncle A.C.E. Sandwich which was very good with a lot of avocado. I also had their house drip coffee which I believe they use their own beans. Everything tasted good. The people working there were friendly as well. Definitely now on my go to list.
google avatar

Yelp
Candy BAE was so good I had to come back the following day to have it again. I randomly pulled up to this shop while I was driving by for a coffee. I ended up getting the candy bae and a matcha instead. Both were absolutely incredible so much so that I had to tell all my friends and told them to come through. I hate that I'm late this party but now that I'm here I'm here . The staff was super friendly as well and therr was so much space to sit and beautiful artwork on the walls. Definitely recommend. definitely coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute coffee shop to do work. Came on a Tuesday afternoon and it was quite empty. I was a fan of the space and the art on the walls. Love the vibes. My dirty chai was okay - but if I lived in the area I would definitely come here often to do work. Free Parking Free Wifi and outlets When I went, the bathroom was broken - not sure if that is fixed yet.

Darylynn D.

Yelp
I wanted something different from going to chain coffee stores and this was a new one for me to go to. I tried the Bangkok Iced coffee and I enjoyed it a lot. It wasn't too sweet and had the right amount of caffeine in it. They have pastries and plenty of seating if you want to get work done. The best part is that there is parking available!!
google avatar

Greenfolia U.

Yelp
Love the new menu items and food always delicious and quality. Love the coffee bar and the new signature drinks

Sarah M.

Yelp
Cute and great menu! But I have to leave a review cause I come here a lot, it's a local spot and I love it but for some reason every single thing I've ever ordered, dine-in/to-go/food and drink have all been burning hot in temperature. Completely burning hot, even a to-go pastry is too hot to carry in the bag. I love it, it's funny, but boy it burns my hands and tongue every single time even after a good 10mins of waiting. I always forget to ask them not to zap it too high, so that's on me.
google avatar

Katherine R.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place for breakfast. The BAE sandwich was AMAZING. It was very unique and definitely a must try. However, it was very rich so I might recommend splitting with someone. The drinks were great too. We tried coffee and chai and both were good. We also tried a blueberry muffin. That wasn't as great. However, the parking was easy and there were lots of tables to eat at so this was a good spot to check out. My only negative is that the bathroom was a bit gross.
google avatar

Jas S.

Yelp
The food was 5/5! We ordered the waffle platter that comes with eggs, potatoes, and your choice of protein. The waffles were probably the BEST waffles I've ever had! The buttermilk bread they use for the waffles is perfection! They're thick, and they aren't soggy, and it's served with real syrup, so these were an easy 5/5 for me. The potatoes were cooked to a perfect crisp and seasoned just right! My bf got the Bae breakfast sandwich which I thought was great! The brioche bun along with the cheddar crisp is what really makes the sandwich THAT much better! The only thing I did not like was the Bangkok iced coffee, but the hazelnut latte was exceptional. Overall a great find to get breakfast or brunch. Also, there's parking in the front which is always a plus! The spot is very open and cozy, and it makes for a great place to bring your laptop and get some work done while enjoying a good cup of coffee.
google avatar

Malen M.

Yelp
Food was good. I love the Kyoto Coffee i ordered. Also the ambiance is really nice. They have nice music playing in the store using LP which was pretty classic if you ask me. It's a great place for studying and just hanging out. There's a parking lot so that's also a plus. Would definitely comeback!
google avatar

Trenton R.

Yelp
Whenever my partner and I have some extra "brunch" money and want to stay nearby we go to Chimney. The servers/cashiers are always so friendly and the food is delicious. Coffee options are okay, not exciting but still good. There's parking which is nice in LA. However, it is a small space with limited indoor/outdoor seating. You can order your food to go though which is nice. Just a good brunch /breakfast joint worth trying if you're ever in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Cindy S.

Yelp
I found Chimney Coffee House while visiting the weekend food stall at LAX-C market. I am definitely coming back for my coffee fix. Got my usual cafe latte over ice to the top of the cup with added cream/milk no sugar. The largest size iced latte has four shots of expresso. :) High quality stuff. They roast their beans fresh in-house; fresh roasted beans weekly and they restock on Wednesdays. I will update my review when I come back and try some of the menu offerings. Service is helpful and friendly. Ample parking with EV station out front. Ambiance is hipster vibes casual.
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
Awesome place to work and study. Bought 2 drinks, the Thai iced coffee and espresso to start my day and all I can say it did the job. Thai was not too bitter and gave me a nutty caramel after taste which was very unique. Difficult to find in the downtown part of Los Angeles. Espresso was bitter and can be combined with another coffee drink. Interior was very homely and very large tables for a group setting. Will need to give the food a try some day.
google avatar

Yelp
- Good for working - Free WiFi and outlets - Free parking A coffee shop perfect for studying and working, with power outlets and free WiFi available. When you're tired from work, you can also lift your head and admire the beautiful artworks on the wall. The baristas are all very friendly. I ordered an oat milk latte, and I really liked it as it had a strong coffee flavor!
google avatar

Thuy Dan T.

Yelp
Ordered a coffee right before they closed on a Sunday and it was a very solid mocha latte. The inside has good seating (parking lot out front), and the vibe seems like a great place for working or catching up with friends. Parking right outside is also very convenient!
google avatar

Sebastien L.

Yelp
Tuesday morning coffee - Bangkok Iced coffee It's really good, period! Highly recommend
google avatar

Jordan H.

Yelp
This coffee shop has literally the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. The "bae sandwich" has that impossibly crisp and yet intrinsically tender brioche bun of your dreams, incredible (and plenty!) bacon, avocado, egg, and a tasty sauce. I get their oat milk iced latte every time and it is always on point. Fair warning: if you get the large (you should!) it has 4 shots of espresso. If you love great coffee, food, and friendly service you should sneak on down to Chimney. Tip: there are 3 Loop EV chargers about 30 feet to the right of Chimney (same parking complex), but you should download the Loop app as it doesn't have a native payment option (Credit Card).
google avatar

Hellie N.

Yelp
A solid 4.5 stars. It has its own parking lot but shared with other businesses which is a big plus for the area. We ordered a cheeseburger and a sausage and egg bowl. I didn't care for the purple rice for the sausage & egg bowl but that's all due to preference. Coffee is good and service is friendly. They are very dog friendly also. Will definitely come back again.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was fresh and delicious I ordered a Candy Bacon, Avocado and Egg Sandwich one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a minute. Service was great nice and helpful. Ambiance was great and quiet.

Yelp
Nestled on North Main Street near Chinatown, Chimney Coffee House offers a cozy haven for coffee lovers and brunch enthusiasts alike. My recent visit was a delightful culinary experience, featuring a well curated menu and exceptional service. Ordered the B.A.E. sandwich, which expertly combines crispy bacon, creamy avocado, soft scrambled eggs, and cheddar cheese, all nestled within a fluffy Hokkaido milk bun. The flavors meld beautifully, with the spicy mayo adding a perfect kick that elevates the dish. The texture of the bun is a standout; it's light yet sturdy enough to hold the hearty fillings without falling apart. Also ordered the French toast, made from housemade Hokkaido milk bread. This dish was a true highlight of my brunch. The bread is thick cut and perfectly golden, creating a wonderful contrast with the warm, buttery texture. Paired with real maple syrup, it strikes a balance between sweetness and richness that left me craving more with each bite. Also ordered the Bangkok iced coffee. This drink stands out with its unique blend of robust and arabica beans, delivering a complex flavor profile that's both rich and invigorating with hint of chicory. The service was another commendable aspect of my visit. Keren was attentive and personable, ensuring that my needs were met promptly and with a smile. Her recommendations were spot on. Definitely recommend.

Ashley D.

Yelp
My first time here and it was everything I need in a cafe. The parking is nice, spacious, and pretty clean. Amazing service and food!!! oh M gee, the B.A.E sandwich 10/10, Cobb Salad is 8/10, the dressing is good just not to my liking. The interior was so classy and chic, super comfy for studying or just lounging. I also got an iced matcha latte with one pump of vanilla, tastes exactly like matcha pocky, 11/10!!!!

Yelp
I started coming here due to a OTM deal before COVID. It's a great place to do work and it was close by my school. free wifi! I really enjoyed the open air concept here, gives it a more laidback feel. lots of sunlight and (sort of) fresh air LOL Ive gotten their breakfast burrito, tomato soup with grilled cheese , and one of their lattes (I don't remember). Their breakfast burrito was big and had a little layer of fried cheese around it. They cut it in half for you. It was pretty good and savory! The grilled cheese was cute, but the bread they used was a little hard. they tomato soup could have used a little bit more salt! I dont remember much about the latte (im not a huge coffee person), but it did its job. I finished my paper Overall, cool place to hangout and chill. it does have a parking lot but it is small since it shares its lot with other businesses. It is sort of a small gated area.
google avatar

Francoise S.

Yelp
This place is a bit off the beaten path, but we'll worth going if you're near Chinatown. Lots of seating, good coffee, lots of baked goods to choose from. Customer service could be better. Front end girl was not friendly at all, kind of impatient to be honest. Not a cheap place to have lunch at, but the lunch menu seemed really unique. If I'm ever back to this area, I most certainly will try it out for lunch.
google avatar

Stella Y.

Yelp
Discovered this place while checking out the Thai Costco, LAX-C Got their Bangkok ice coffee because, why not, we just had some Thai food for lunch and it was delicious!
google avatar

Aubrey M.

Yelp
I found this spot tucked away in Chinatown, just by the outskirts of downtown. Lots of indoor seating, I went on a Tuesday morning and there were a couple folks there working on their computers and having meetings. I got an iced cold brew with frothed almond milk! It was well brewed, it didn't have that burnt coffee taste like most shops. I also got the BAE sandwich and it was delightful. The buns were softly made with a thick layer of scrambled eggs, cheese and avocado. I'd probably come back to get this again! Overall good experience. Lots of parking in front and dog friendly establishment as well.
google avatar

Cristina O.

Yelp
Was in the area and decided to try this little spot out. We got the B.A.E & candy B.A.E sandwich. Both were amazing and coffee was super good too. Recommend for sure.
google avatar

Connie N.

Yelp
surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet! I've gone here a few times because it's a few minutes away from my bestie's house. The first time, I got the chicken and waffles. It was so good, I went back and got it again before flying back to the bay LOL They gave such a huge juicy piece of chicken that was seasoned really well. I think it's the best chicken and waffle I've had ever. I've tried the teas and they're just okay. I don't know if I'd get them again, but it was nice to try. The past few times, I've gotten the B.A.E sandwich and it's perfect. Thinking about it is the reason I'm writing a review right now! LOL It has a fluffy milk bun, avocados, and they make the cheese CRISPY. The cheese is the best part, honestly. You can add breakfast potatoes with it if you want, they're big crispy chunks of potato and worth the upgrade. It's a pretty chill spot, too. There's a lot of people working remotely each time I come. Service has always been quick too. Hopefully I can try some of the lunch options next time! But I probably might get the B.A.E again

Yelp
This was my first time going to Chimney coffee despite being so close to it on a weekly basis. I ordered their ice maple latte with oat milk and I thought it was alright. I couldn't really taste the sweetness from the maple syrup but I still enjoyed the coffee. They have plenty of seating for their guests along with a few larger tables. Their barista was really sweet explaining their different drinks and letting me take my time ordering. It also seems like they make their pastries fresh daily so I will be back to try it! They have plenty of parking outside of the coffee shop and it seems like the perfect place to go and meet up with friends.
google avatar

Tony Y.

Yelp
I only tried their brewed coffee and it was good! The dining space is huge with plenty of tables and outlets along the walls. There are a couple of tables outside as well. WiFi is free and parking wasn't too bad either. The staff was very nice too.
google avatar

Miriah S.

Yelp
Bangkok iced coffee tastes like Thai spices and I was not expecting that (barista did not inform) but it was strong coffee so yay to that!
google avatar

Nadthawee P.

Yelp
Never get disappointed from here with the coffee. It s only coffee shop that remind me to Thailand. We have a lot of fresh brew coffee on the road trip to everywhere . But they do not have ice cappuccino here. Lol we have it in Thailand. I like late add more shoots. Service is good, nice people here and in the shop is great for sitting to chill out.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow what a hidden gem! Just ate one of the best breakfast sandwiches ever here! Get the BAE breakfast sandwich. They make their milk buns in house and the food is delicious. I also got the Bangkok Iced Coffee and it was delicious. Friendly staff and lots of space to study or meet up with friends!

Yelp
Service is great! Food is tasty and delish! Coffee had a great taste. I've been here 3x already and I'll keep coming back.

Yelp
As a lifetime resident of southern Californian I've tried a lot of avocado toasts and i gotta say the avocado toast at chimney is top tier. My fiancé wants to add that the matcha scone is the second best in all of Los Angeles. He won't reveal his number one.
