Xi’an-style biangbiang noodles and murgers hand-pulled and pressed to order in a modest strip-mall nook. Baltimore Magazine raved about the chewy ribbons and lamb pairings—worth the short drive for something truly regional.

I’m glad my friends and I checked out this place. At first I thought it’s another typical Chinese restaurant that served beef and broccoli or hot and sour soup. No it is not! I was wrong. The foods here are amazing! I don’t have to spend an expensive international trip to taste this authentic food. I like their 12-hours Stewed Pork murger and unique spicy handmade noodle dishes. The lamb combo in the first photo is also worth a try. The staffs here are super friendly and fast service. They gave us some suggestions when we didn’t know what to order. We learned about the lamb combo from them. We will definitely come back here for more and to try different dishes from their menu. Oh and conveniently, they have a boba milk tea shop inside their restaurant. Perfect to go for a cold drink or dessert after eating all the spicy foods.

These were the best noodles I’ve ever had! Perfect texture and the hot oil was delicious. I’m not afraid of spice, but I also don’t want the hottest thing, and this felt well balanced. Sorry my picture is of a half eaten dish, because I tore into it as soon as it got to my table. I wish I lived closer!

Google
The 3-in-1 hand-ripped noodles stand out with their perfectly hand-pulled texture, offering a delightful chewiness, and the sauce complements them beautifully. The hand-grasped lamb was of excellent quality, tender and flavorful. As for the spicy minced pork roujiamo, while it’s a Chinese-style burger with an interesting twist—featuring ingredients like mushrooms, carrots, and potatoes instead of the usual fillings—it wasn’t particularly to my taste. The side dishes, priced around $11, were decent but felt a bit pricey. Personally, I would recommend sticking to the noodles—they’re the real highlight, but pricey.

I had an amazing experience at the Xi'an Style Restaurant in Germantown, MD! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. The food was absolutely fantastic—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Every dish exceeded my expectations! The service was another highlight; the staff was not only friendly but also fun and inviting, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for delicious food and a great time!

Google
Did not expect an authentic hand-grasped lamb here in Maryland. Delicious meat and noodles. Update: visited it again recently and felt like the portion of lamb was not as much as last year, which makes it not a great value for money anymore. The hand-ripped noodles and appetizers were decent.

Food is mediocre. Some dishes are really salty, the others are flavorless. Service is close to none. Overall OK dining experience, but probably won't go back.

The first time I've ever had biang biang noodles - I'm glad it was here! I loved the spicy hot oil hand pulled noodles!

Google
This place has delicious authentic hand made ripped Chinese noodles. We got a sample of mergers which are Chinese style meats inside a toasted steam bun. We also got a assortment of dry noodles and soup noodles. Thier soup broth was really delicious, it has a deep flavor and the garnish goes really well with it. If you are looking for something different for Chinese style noodles, give this place a try. The seating is ok, not too small and not too big. So there likely a wait during peak times.

Yelp
I came here for their hand-pulled noodles. I got the 12-hour stewed pork one. It was so delicious and flavorful. I loved the noodles and was very satisfied with everything. I've also gotten the spicy wontons and put some of the hot sauce into the noodles for a little spiciness. Their lamb dishes and murgers look amazing too. I wish there was a Chin Xi'an restaurant closer to me! There is also a Ben Gong's Tea attached to the restaurant.

Yelp
We loved the Xianese food in NYC, and couldn't wait to try Chin - Xi'an Style Restaurant in Ellicott City when it popped up. Xi'an cuisine is a perfect melting pot of flavors, shaped by the city's history as the destination for Muslim merchants via the Silk Road. This historic trade route facilitated a rich exchange of spices, halal traditions, and culinary traditions between East and West, creating a distinct northwestern Chinese food culture. The city is now home to Han-Chinese Muslim residents (Hui people). In the Muslim Quarter (Huimin Street), you'll find beef and lamb replacing pork, with western spices like cumin. We started with a Lamb Murger, or Rou Jia Mo--the so-called "Chinese hamburger," though it likely predates the Western version by centuries. In Roujiamo, the "mo," or bread, is a crispy-on-the-outside and chewy-on-the-inside flatbread (contrasted with the loaf bread used in Western burgers) stuffed with tender, slow-cooked lamb that carries a fragrant mix of spices. This ancient sandwich-more than any other dish-reflects the region's history as a crossroads of culinary traditions. Next, we dug into hand-pulled Biang Biang noodles--one bowl with cumin lamb, another with chili oil and 12-hour-stewed pork (anything with chili oil is going to be a hit for me). These noodles are named after the sound made when the wide noodles are slapped against the counter as they are hand-pulled. These were easily the longest noodles I've ever had (maybe my Italian grandma won't curse me for splitting these). Chin - Xi'an Style Restaurant easily earned a spot in my top three places to eat in Ellicott City.

Yelp
Came back to this place a second time and got the murgers I fondly remembered the first time. However the bread was so dry and stale it was not edible. Disappointing that the ingredients were not fresh this time. Had to toss them. Also we got take out boba and was sitting in the tables designated for boba take out (since the restaurant server told us we can't sit at the Chin xian tables with the utensils already on them). But once again the server from this restaurant came and told us we can't even eat take out in this space. Just a bit ridiculous. I get if they want to reserve the tables with the utensils on it for their dine in customers, but I can't even eat in the take out tables either? In addition there were ZERO customers this entire time in the store.

Yelp
Tried eating here after always walking by when I was getting boba at Bengong (which is in the same building) and was pleasantly surprised. Food was pretty good and the staff were nice. Overall would rate it as a nice casual place to get a quick meal.

Yelp
Tons of free parking. Located in a shop with a bubble tea place. Highly recommend their hand pulled noodles. Get their 3 way noodles. If you have kids, order their side of brocolli. Their garlic brocolli may be a bit spicy (due to the garlic) so make sure before giving it to kids. Their burger (murger) is okay. A bit on the dry side. Their lamb noodle soup is pretty good. A bit of a strong flavor. But the broth is good. Their prices are reasonable and worth checking out if you are in the area. Tons of spicy and non spicy options for everyone! Staff here are extremely friendly too!

Yelp
About a 1-1.5: Chin Xi-an Style Restaurant is located in the same space as Ben Gong - I was craving for some biang biang noodles, and since this place had decent reviews for it, we decided to check them out. Note that the Chin staff here are super strange - they don't allow you to sit in the dining area unless you're dining in and ordering from the menu - it's weird, because the place is like a 2-vendor super small dining hall? Again, it's a shared space, but Chin seems to to think they have the complete authority to kick out any Ben Gong customers and those who order online from Chin that try to enjoy their drinks/food in the seating area - there should be clear signs that this is a Chin space, if that's even true. Just so weird. Either way, we ended up getting our orders to go by using the kiosk: +dumplings (with the same hot-oil used in N1) +the N1 - Spicy Hot-Oil Seared Hand-Ripped Noodles It's funny, because there was only 1 party dining in; kind of makes sense, because most likely others have experienced the offputting-ness of the seating situation and probably either got their orders to go or passed on. Considering that there was only 1 other party, we weren't sure why the items that we had ordered were just sitting there; everyone knows that noodles need to be consumed quickly once the dish is prepared, as they get 'swollen' - the dumplings were fine, but lukewarm; the biang biang dish had noodles that were already coagulated and sticky; there didn't seem to be enough sauce, so we had to use some of the remaining sauce that was in the dumpling app to dress it more properly. It's unfortunate, as the hot-oil that was used actually tasted pretty good. Staff were standoffish, and one could really become put off by their demeanor - not sure if it's worth the poor explanation, the weird dining in situation, and the lack of care with online orders. Plenty of parking in the large plaza lot. +swollen noodles +off-putting staff +lack of attention to online orders +located in the same space as Ben Gong in the Princess Shopping Center +plenty of parking in the the large plaza lot

Yelp
If you love hand pulled noodles, this is your spot! Located amongst many Asian based restaurants and businesses, it shares a space with Ben Gongs tea. Once you walk in, you have the option of ordering via the kiosk or you can dine in. Make sure you walk up to the counter so that the servers know you're planning to dine in. Several customers were just hanging out by the entrance and it was unclear what they were waiting for. The place also has many tables that can seat from 2-10 people. During my visit there were only 2 servers but they were doing an amazing job with delegating tasks and checking in with dine in customers. Now, let's talk food... I highlyyyyyy recommend the sweet and spicy cabbage but would not recommend any of the other cold dishes (except the celery one which we did not get). The cabbage dish encompassed a great balance of sweet and spicy and the crunchy texture just rounded it off. The tofu skin was bland and so was the crunchy potato. Also eating potatoes cold was off putting. Neither of those two delivered anything . Noodle wise, the 12 hour stewed pork noodle dish was the star! The balance of spice and garlic was well rounded and paired so well! We also got the minced pork and it was ok. It was just bland and you could only taste the cumin and nothing more. The beef murger was also forgettable. Between the meat and the pita, it left it feeling very dry. I had to put some cabbage with it to liven it up. Like the noodles just really tasted the cumin but nothing more to help balance it out.

Yelp
The food is amazing and the atmosphere is very casual so no pressure. At first I wanted to go because the murgers look like mora meat (genshin impact) but my go to is the North Style Beef Noodle Soup because I can never resist the hand pulled noodles! The servers are excellent and kind as well, one time we ordered the wrong item and the staff was understanding and corrected it for us (it was our mistake and we got confused with the menu). I highly recommend trying this place out! I was a little skeptical because the space is shared by Ben Gong Tea but now whenever I'm in the area, I want these noodles

Yelp
Absolutely Luscious Noodles After an exceedingly tiring day, being able to sit down and enjoy food that manages to be both comforting and fresh was much needed. The celery and dried tofu salad was bright and crunchy (and peanuts aren't impossible with chopsticks, simply a bit... meditative) and my spicy cumin lamb was perfectly seasoned, with delicious, chewy noodles. My sister ended up stealing most of my plum soda, so apparently it was tasty as well! Staff was very nice and we were seated promptly, the time of the place is super casual, which is entirely suitable. I do wish there had been tea, but perhaps I'll get boba tea next time!

Yelp
We started off the year with getting noodles from Chin for our first meal, and we immediately knew we would be back. We drove 30 minutes to grab take-out. I ordered ahead of time, and the order was ready at the time indicated. The person at the counter was super nice and friendly. Like everyone has said, their take out bags/containers are top-notch. When we got home, we immediately dug in. I ordered the spicy cumin beef murger, the stewed pork murger, the stewed pork hand ripped noodles, the spicy pork hand ripped noodles, and the beef noodle soup (a current special). If you saw my husband and I, you would think it was our first time eating in a week. The food was delicious. We haven't found a place here/in NOVA that has these types of hand ripped noodles. We were obsessed with them in Seattle and have been craving them for almost 3 years now. The murgers were good - the stewed pork murger was our favorite of the two. The stewed pork hand ripped noodles were our favorite of the noodles. The flavor was insane. The noodles were delicious. The beef noodle soup was our second favorite. The soup was super tasty. We liked the spicy pork noodles. They weren't really spicy. But they had that slightly sour aftertaste that kind of makes you hungrier. It was pretty good, but the other 2 noodles were definetly the best. I was worried that the portion sizes were going to be small after reading another review. But they might have taken that into account and bumped up the amount you get. We were very full and had plenty of leftovers. We had the rest for dinner. And after they sat for a little bit, the flavors developed more. The spicy cumin beef murger got even spicier too. We will be back, and happily make that 1 hour round trip for these noodles.

Yelp
Ordered take out. I wish they gave a little more soup for the noodles, but all good. Noodles were definitely stuck into each other due to it being take out. But it was delicious. The black bean noodles are nothing like the Korean black bean noddles... I think I'd pass on this one, but, it's not bad. I recommend dining in.

Yelp
Overall - small and confusing shop with underwhelming food with single stall gendered bathrooms I was stoked to find a place with biang biang noodles around here, but sadly we won't be back. We were greeted with a machine asking us for our email and phone number to get on a waitlist but the place was pretty empty. It said to wait to get seated so we waited, but no one came over so we went in. We were given super small cups of water. The server was not super helpful or personable. Two of our orders came out so far before mine that my partner finished their food before I got mine. The noodles were just okay. There was probably about a teaspoon of meat in the two noodle dishes we got (black bean and spicy minced pork). The spicy flavor was good, the veggies in it were cold, and i was surprised that most of what I thought should be meat was tofu, carrots, and potatoes. The M1 murger meat was absolutely delicious, but the bread was soaked with liquid. There was a pool of meat juice in the sleeve it came in.

Yelp
The food is unique and exciting to taste a different style of Chinese cuisine. It's very different from the more common Cantonese cuisine and Szechuan. The spice taste is different. They have a special once in a while, the beef noodle soup. It is not on the menu and it is delicious. I hope that they make it a permanent item in the menu.
google avatar

Grace H.

Yelp
Really liked the noodles although the murger was pretty tasty too. Even just the spicy noodles without meat was delicious and I usually like meat a lot. As others have mentioned the kiosks make it a little confusing if there is a sit down option which there is but you still have to order from the kiosks if you want bubble tea. There's a Ben Gong bubble tea in the same space which was pretty convenient. The server was attentive and refilled our waters generously with was much appreciated when eating spicy food. Parking was easy and free. Would love to stop in again if I'm ever in the area.

Yelp
Pretty solid cumin lamb noddles. The service was also pretty quick I went in the evening on a Friday night.

Yelp
Wassup foodie peeps!! Been a goooooood long while since my last review. Been super busy with life and life. Gotta love adulting. That said, I'd like to introduce everyone to a place that I found has delicious made inhouse hand pulled biang biang noodles! I first tried this type of noodles style in China and it was love at first bite! This awesome place, Chin Xian in Ellicott City MD, is pretty close to the flavor I had over seas. Enough reminiscing, on to the goods!!! This wondrous evening, we ordered the biang biang noodles but two different styles. I ordered the N1 Spicy Hot-Oil Seared Hand Ripped Noodles and the N2 12-Hours Stewed Pork Hand Ripped Noodles. I'll say my peace and rave about the N1 in a bit (save my best for last lol). The N2 came with a savory sauce with bok choy and fall off the bone-if-there-was-a-bone pork. Super succulent and juicy. The noodles well absorbed the sauce flavor and remained chewy (my fave texture if you don't know by now). Now I must rave about the N1. This is only my opinion, but I fully believe lol, but the N1 is all you need and must worshi.... I mean order. The noodles are super chewy and longer than your essay papers. The hot oil seasoning is on point with just the right of savory and tang. I ordered mine with extra hot oil and spice cuz that's how we do!! Also asked for some vinegar to add a bit more tanginess to my liking. If you ever find yourself in Ellicott City, MD or near there, highly recommend stopping by Chin Xian and nomming on their yumminess. Until next time peeps! Super NOMZ!!!

Yelp
Really good food, friendly service. The hand pulled noodles and murgers were exactly what we wanted!

Yelp
the short - I was excited because of the rave reviews, but was ultimately left disappointed both by the food and the service. details - You are greeted by a tablet kiosk asking you to add to the waitlist for dining. Except it's unclear whether you have to use it if there is no waitlist and there was no staff guiding at the entrance. When we went to the actual bar area of the restaurant to ask, I felt almost scolded that we walked over which was bizarre. Long story short - if you choose to dine in, it's technically "sit down restaurant" style, but it doesn't look that way. The server was not accommodating and rather unapproachable. I was willing to let the initial impression go for the delicious biang biang noodles, but unfortunately that was a big let down as well. The noodles were soggy and the flavor was mediocre. For protein, they gave me a serving size of about a tablespoon. The side of bok choy was lazy - no seasoning, just blanched. The pork murger was the only thing I would mark as a positive. The flavor was good and the buns were unique/added a good texture to the sandwich. Overall, I'm not recommending. There's a lot of cool noodle spots opening up in the area and I was excited to have biang biang noodles, but this one was not it.

Yelp
Opened in December 2023, this place serves Chinese food that is styled after the food found in Xi'an, the ancient capitol of China. Food like Rou jia mo (this place calls them Murgers) and Biangbiang Noodles (called Hand Ripped Noodles). It is a food stall in a store with a Ben Gong's Tea stall next to it. Ben Gong's Tea sells smoothies and boba tea. There is one dining room for both businesses like in a food court. My wife and I arrived at noon on a Saturday. They had few customers. The employee knew little about the food, and the menu had no descriptions. We picked 4 dishes based on their pictures and names. 1) 12 hours Stewed Pork Murger This was a round flatbread sandwich with finely chopped pork and white onions in sauce. The pork was moist and mushy soft. The sauce was sweet and savory with flavors of sugar, soy sauce, rice wine, and star anise. The flatbread was moist, soft, and slightly dense with a plain white bread flavor. The overall flavor was good, but the onions and pork were very mushy. I think murger is short for mushy burger. :) 2) 12 hrs Stewed Pork Hand Ripped Noodles It had pork, baby bok choy, and noodles in an oily sauce. There was hardly any pork. There were 2 small pieces and 6 thin strips that were shredded. The pork was moist and tender with light flavors of pork and marinade. It tasted like soy sauce, star anise, garlic, ginger, cloves, sugar, and rice wine. It's a typical Chinese marinade that tasted fine. The noodles were an inch wide and 2 feet long. They had no flavor because they're made with flour, a bit of salt, water, and oil. They were cooked well and a little chewy. There wasn't enough sauce to cover some of the noodles. The sauce was oil with a very light amount of soy sauce, garlic, and msg. Ridiculously simple and bland. Basically, this was just oily noodles. This was either an error or one of their cooks doesn't know how to make sauce, make enough of it, and correctly portion meat. The next dish was portioned correctly and flavorful, so there is one good cook. 3) Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand Ripped Noodles It had marinated lamb, green onions, and noodles in a spicy cumin sauce. It had plenty of lamb that was tender, moist, and coated in sauce. The sauce had strong flavors of cayenne pepper and cumin with background flavors of rice wine, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and sugar for balance. The noodles were the same as above. This dish was flavorful, well-rounded, and very spicy hot. Less heat would be good. It was the polar opposite of the previous dish. 4) Northwest Beef Noodle Soup It had sliced beef, white radish, green onions, cilantro, and noodles in a broth. The broth was WEAK chicken broth with rice wine, msg, and garlic. A mundane flavor profile with no depth. It became more diluted after mixing it with the noodles. The noodles were the same flavorless hand ripped noodles as above. The beef was chuck roast. It was moist and very tender with little beef flavor. The vegetables were fresh and the only thing with decent flavor. This dish is doomed for mediocrity unless changes are made. This was a waste of money. The service was attentive, polite, and somewhat helpful. My wife was told that carryout orders can't be eaten there. Why is that? They are a restaurant with dine-in and carryout. The counter worker gives you the menu, and then you sit anywhere in the dining room. You might have to share a table with Ben Gong's Tea customers. The counter worker is the server also. The worker will come to your table to take your order and then bring the food. It's an effort to get tips for the counter worker and not hire servers. The double duty could mean slow service if it's busy. The dining room and restrooms were clean. They are in Princess Shopping Center. The parking lot is free. The debacle with the 2 dishes makes me hesitant to buy from them. I'd be willing to give this place another try and rating when the problems are fixed.

Yelp
A solid chinese noodle place in Ellicot City. Wish noodles were a little fresher but otherwise pretty good. Worth a try for spice lovers.

Yelp
Located in the food hall next to Ben Gong Tea. They decorated the place with their logo. The food here is SPICY but good. Recommend the hand pulled noodle dishes and the lamb cumin murger

Yelp
Love this place!!! Their hand ripped noodles are so yummy and amazing! They serve food very fast as well!

Yelp
Ambiance- the whole system of being seated was kind of confusing. We ended up standing around for a while, was not helped, found a kiosk to find us a table. I still don't quite understand how it works TBH. It's also in the same space of a boba place, so it was nice and convenient to get while dining. Food- the food came out relatively quickly! We got the spicy cumin murger and stewed pork murger. We are a fan of spicy and cumin, but the spicy cumin just had too much spice which was kind of overwhelming. The pork was a lot more flavorful, and we enjoyed this a lot more. We also got the stewed pork noodle and the hot-oiled noodles. The stewed pork noodle was okay, but would highly recommend the hot-oil (although think that the hot-oil is a little overpriced considering that there's no meat and is just spice + oil). Overall, glad that I've tried and would maybe go back again once in a while

Yelp
Now you don't have to drive to NYC for hand pulled noodles. The food and service was great. Portions are modest but so is price. Very flavorful dishes and can be quite spicy if you aren't use to xi'an style seasoning. Our favorite was the simple spicy. noodle bowl and the murgers. Shout out to the staff who were attentive and efficient. We'll certainly be back. Dec 29th update: Portions grew, same great taste! Just heard they are developing additional menu items. Perfect excuse to come back soon!

Yelp
Excellent food! Good service! Everything was prompt. The servers was well knowledgeable of there menu items. The space of the restaurant was very clean. Definitely coming back and hope to see them strive. They even gave white rabbit candy at the end with the check.

Yelp
I happened to come across an ad for this place an ig and I told my boyfriend I wanted to go. We went and I didn't really know what to expect. IT IS SO GOOD. The food is absolutely delicious! They may have a limited option but they put their best into it. The place is on the smallee side but it is still spacious. A fair amount of seating but it wasn't busy when we went. We were sat immediately, no wait time, nothing. Order right away as well. I was very surpsrised. The food also came out super fast. I will say, a lot of the food is on the spicier side so if that isn't your thing, I would just be careful. The osmanthus plum drink we got was AMAZING! I would get that every time we go. It was also a good balance for the spiciness of the food. Lil' sweet, lil' spicy, perfect balance. There is plenty of parking and it's all free. You may have to park a tad farther away from the door depending on how busy it is but it's really not that bad. There are plant based options as well. I will for sure be coming here again.

Yelp
I appreciate the hand pulled noodles! The last time I had pulled noodles was in NYC, so I'm happy that there's finally a place in MD that can make fresh pulled noodles. The 12 hour braised pork was very tender and juicy. However, my husband said his pork was tough and dry. The spice level was nice that it didn't burn my mouth or blow my palate, which I find is a delicate balance. The noodles were nice and chewy. They weren't too thick. I'd definitely recommend this place to friends!
google avatar

George W.

Yelp
Food is great especially the hand-pilled noodles. The menu options to allow you to mix and match sauces and toppings. This way you never feel like you missed out or made the wrong choice. The "murgers" are decent and solid but the noodles hit the spot better. The only knock is the prices are a tad high. Note that the location is a bit confusing too. It's not quite a full-blown food court but there is a separate bubble tea joint that serves within the same dining space. That said, for the food alone, highly recommend.
google avatar

yiting s.

Yelp
Great food, good amount of different noodles and "murgers" (肉夹馍) to choose from. Inside is clean and looks new, but can be a bit confusing whether it is more self serve or traditional restaurant style service given the kiosks and counter in the back. Often order takeout from here, and recommend the spicy hot oil seared hand ripped noodles (油泼面) and the spicy shredded chicken noodles(鸡丝凉面). Murgers were alright, nothing too special, but the hand ripped noodles were perfectly chewy and had a great texture to them.

A little hard to find the place from outside because it shares a space with the Bengong's Tea, which has a bigger sign from the curb. We were a hungry party of three for a late lunch on Sunday afternoon and nearly all the tables were reserved for the holiday. We were sat on the back corner opposite the kitchen and enjoyed the view of the entire space. The service was friendly and efficient and food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the spicy lamb and pork murgers; breads were fluffy and warm. I really liked the flavor of both of these and if we had room, could have easily gotten the 6 murger order. We also got the C8 combo, which was to try the three appetizers: shredded potatoes, dried tofu with sweet and sour sauce and sweet heat cabbage. All of these were delicious (esp. the cabbage), complimented the murger very nicely without being overpowering. I didn't try the noods this time around, but we will be back for sure.

Yelp
This is not a restaurant but more like a food court style. The spicy noodle was good but the beef was tasteless. The small veggie dishes were too small only a couple bites.

Yelp
It's a good place to go with friends during cold day! Always get the spicy oil dumplings which is my FAV! The service is also good. Can't wait to come again.

Yelp
The food was amazing and delicious. The service was very quick and efficient. The Ambiance was very bright and peaceful, and there were alot of people for a Friday lunch rush. It wasn't out the door but still it was busy.

Yelp
Super original Xi'an food! I LOVE everything from Xi'an's. Hand-ripped noodle and murgers are awesome. Definitely recommend! I never saw Baijmo Murger at any Xi'an restaurant. This is the first time. It is sooooooo delicious and healthy. The hand-ripped noodles were dancing in my mouth!!! It is chewy!!! I can tell it is real HAND PULLED NOODLES! Cold dishes I love the decoration. They are full of Xi'an culture. Xi'an metro, Terracotta Army display

Yelp
The food was pretty good. Obviously not truly authentic as Xi'an but very good nonetheless. The service is great for a one person crew. Felt very bad she was the only server working for the entire restaurant. Fire her coworkers. The ambiance was very asian restaurant chic.

Yelp
Great food, big portions and great service. I had the spicy dumplings and spicy pulled noodles. Definitely enough for a second meal!!

Yelp
Nice food. Staff is not welcoming. I walked in on a work day afternoon, the restaurant was empty and all seats were open. I wanted to eat and work at the same time. But all the power plugins were taped and I can't charge my Laptop. The staff taped explained me that way customers would leave sooner. The owner can put a sign to be explicit: max stay 2hr or something. People will understand. Instead, they picked passive aggression. Customers have the rights to charge their phones or laptops as they sit down, eat, and tip. I left that day for another restaurant.

Yelp
Well, we went back with friends this time. I unfortunately do not follow the restaurant on social media but apparently they do have social media posts that share limited time deals - and boy should I have. There was a lamb noodle soup this past weekend that looked amazing. The 3-4 people i saw ordering it looked to be enjoying the noodles very much. This time, we got there right about noon and it was still pretty quiet. What I did notice was that the electronic sign in had a hand written sign that indicated that it was for take out only and that for dine in, guests have to wait for host/hostess to acknowledge. This seemed to work better (based on our experience as well as several other parties that came in after us). Since there were 4 of us this round, we ended up getting 3 of the cold dishes and we all liked the cabbage and the tofu skin. The potato while good, it was just good not stellar -- we will have to try something else next time. This time the boy and I split the spicy pork noodles and while good and flavorful, for some reason we both liked the plain spicy noodles better. We also ended up with the spicy cumin lamb murger which was spicy and very much reminiscent of a taco (in terms of smell -- and since one of the key spices in beef tacos is cumin, this was to be expected.). The murger was tasty and flavorful with lots of ground lamb, spices and some veggies.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 30 min before they close. Service and food was very quick. We ordered the spicy dumplings, beef noodle soup, and the two in one noodles (zha jiang and slow cooked pork). All the dishes were very tasty and fresh. Dumpling skin and noodles are handmade. Would definitely recommend and I'll be returning soon too! It is located right next to Bengong's tea.

Yelp
Restaurant is excellent. I thought the service was a good, though dine-in seating is a little confusing. However, once you are seated, the server will take your order through a tablet. It's pretty easy and the server was friendly and patient. The food we had was awesome. We got several cold dishes, noodles dishes and the murgers. All of the food items had bold and delicious flavor and texture, with the exception on the cold potato dish ... i think that needed more vinegar. But otherwise, my family ate everything up. The sour plum drink is surprisingly good as well. We will definitely be back for more. I am glad that are more xian restaurants opening up in the area.

Yelp
Authentic Chinese comfort food. Lots of locals here enjoying a taste of home. I had the beef noodle soup and some cold vegetable dishes - yum!

Yelp
Food was great but the service was non-existant. And the "waiter" had the nerve to stand over us to tip 18% by selecting it for us. No way were we tipping that much when they never checked up on us, had to get our utensils (plasticware so not exactly a real restaurant dining experience as the place is more fast casual) and basically no human interaction. They need a lesson on service and to hover over with that tablet which was strapped to him for payment was aggressive & presumptuous. If not for the food i wouldnt come again due to their lack of training and experience.. other gripes- confusing sit-doen experience with multiple kiosks in there and the bok choy was just blanched meaning something anyone can do at home.

Yelp
Born and raised in Xi'an, there is nothing that can momentarily bring a joyful illusion of returning home faster than a bowl of authentic, hand made noodles. Xi'an style food is very difficult to find abroad because it requires a sort of secret know-how's and manual process that is not easily adopted by modern food industry. I highly recommend anyone who has not had the chance to taste Xi'an style food to come to this place for a real experience. Come and taste for yourself!

Yelp
I'm from Xi'an China, there is just a few Xi'an style restaurants in the Greater Washington area, and I believe Chin Xi'an style restaurants is one of the best. If you want to try some authentic Xi'an style Chinese food, you must come to here. Good food, good service and amazing experience, I definitely recommend all my friends to come to here.

Yelp
3/5 on ambiance since it's basic asian lunch court style dining area. 4/5 Service flow is pretty functional when service is slow but line might get long since there are only two machines that take orders. The waitress was on top of her game and read our minds on what we needed. 4/5 short menu, I love simplicity on menus but I wish they had more vegetable options. They do have a few hidden items so make sure you ask them what they have available on that day that isn't on the menu. The noodle soup with Kobe beef was the best thing we ordered. Highly recommend!
