Health Department Inspects Buffet After Illnesses Reported | Eater Vegas

"A Chinese restaurant at 9775 S. Maryland Pkwy. was closed on June 11 for a multi-generational cockroach infestation — its third closure by health inspectors. A June 15 re-inspection found multiple dead cockroaches but allowed the location to reopen with an A grade. Inspectors documented live cockroaches in dry storage boxes and under a wood ramp by the back door, droppings near an electrical outlet, dirty dishes being washed next to food, grease and food debris on equipment and floors, bulging cans of soy sauce in dry storage, and raw squid stored above crab, chicken, and pork." - Susan Stapleton

I’m so happy I found this spot! I’m originally from Los Angeles, and in the 17 years I’ve been living in Vegas, I haven’t been able to find Chinese food that matches the flavor I grew up with in California—until now. This place is the closest I’ve come to that nostalgic taste from back home. I ordered the shrimp chow mein noodles, firecracker style, and OMG—thick, flavorful noodles with the perfect amount of spice. Absolutely delicious!

I got honey walnut shrimps and pork lo mein. The shrimps were dry; there weren’t enough sauce on it. And the bed of lettuce let out a lot of water pooling at the bottom. The lo mein was decent; the noodles had a satisfying texture, but there was a very strong ginger flavor

Listen, we all have that one go-to Chinese takeout spot that never lets us down. And for me, that’s China AAA—because not only does it deliver triple the A’s, but it also delivers triple the reliability, affordability, and speed. I mean, I swear these guys have some sort of sorcery going on in the kitchen because by the time I hit “confirm order” online, my food is practically already at my doorstep. And let’s talk about the food—because I’ve NEVER had a bad meal from here. You know how some places have that mystery factor where you cross your fingers and hope the orange chicken isn’t just fried disappointment? Not here. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and piping hot, The fried rice? Never dry. The egg rolls? Crunchy, crispy magic. Even the egg foo young is delicious. Then there are the drivers—the real MVPs. These guys show up quicker than Amazon Prime, always courteous, and never give you that judgmental look when they see you ordered enough food for a family of four… but it’s just you. Plus, online payment makes everything effortless—no more awkward “uhh let me find cash” moments.

They gave me bad avocado in their Las Vegas roll and thank goodness I checked before eating. They said their avocado is always brown like this because of the flash fry on the whole roll. Ive irdered this roll from them plenty of times and its never been brown like this. Plus wouldnt that make ALL of the avocado brown and not just pieces of it? I heard the chef yelling about it in the background like Im trying to rip them off even though I paid $50 for my whole meal. So heres a picture of what they say is normal for them to serve and their avocado is always brown and mushy.

New to the area and first time trying out their food, been craving for Chinese and I was very happy with the food, not like China Dragon by Eastern, that was the worst! We threw it away, they shouldn't be serving food but anyways thanks for preparing your food nicely and great portions! The family meal was great! Thank you for being so close to our rental house. And great staff. Highly recommended.

This place is complete garage!! Ordered through postmates and this was a big mistake. Everything tasted like it was sitting out for a couple days. The orange chicken was dry and tough, the beef and broccoli tasted like it was recycled and reused from the trash, everything had a weird plastic aftertaste. If that's your acquired taste then go be my guess, but if you looking for good Chinese food then you can swipe to the left on this one🤢🤮

The food was awful! China a go go is better and they suck too. There was this weird texture to the fried rice which was dryer than this Vegas heat. Got the Mongolian beef and couldn’t find the beef. The kung pow chicken had no flavor and I literally gagged up the crab Rangoon. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get food poisoning, I’ll keep you posted. Sooooo disappointed. I felt like we were given old food. Why would they do that?!
