Google
I did a takeout and was impressed by the service and the taste and quality of foods. The Kungpao chicken was tender and the veggies in them are soft enough that aging elderly in the family can chew on them. The eggplants were very good as well. The chicken wings were well seasoned with crispy skins and tender and moist meat inside. They give you fortune cookies for takeout too. I highly recommend.

Google
What a nice find!! Disclaimer; I forgot to take a photo of the seafood combo before I replayed it) Find this place while in the area I wanted some good Chinese food. I stopped in & placed a Togo order. I ordered braised wings , the seafood combination, another order of braised wings with fried rice & crab wagoons The sauce/ flavoring on the wings was sooo good. They were good sized wings too. The seafood combination was also good the seafood taste wasn’t over powering & with the rice it was a good mixture It took about 10 mins before our food to be ready and they were super friendly even 20 mins before closing. If I’m in the area again. I’m definitely stopping in.

I’ve ordered here several times and it’s typically good, but tonight was quite the disappointment. I ordered Pad See Ew and I’m not sure what I got, but instead of protein, noodles, eggs, garlic, and broccoli…I received protein, noodles, carrots, and snap peas. Although, the dish wasn’t horribly bad, it definitely wasn’t great nor what I ordered and paid $20 for. Guess, I’ll go back to simple fried rice from here and save the more intricate dishes for another place.

Google
The dining area isn't what you'd expect for a Chinese restaurant, but the tables are beautiful. A cherry wood color with what looks like a carving (possibly composite), but still nice. The menu is what you'd expect, but the food was still really good. I prefer a place like this over the chain Chinese food place (🐼). The guy at the register was very nice. Give it a try, look on their website. 👍

Danette C.

Google
There potstickers are delicious with the sauce which is the star. I think their wonton soup needs a little more flavoring. Service is great and fast, I think its more of a take out place.

Google
I’ve been going to this restaurant since 2009. Most of the time their food is great! After recently trying some other local Chinese restaurants, China Cafe has the best food in within a three to five mile radius!

Google
Delicious food, ordered online and picked up 25 mins later. This was our first order from China Cafe and we will definitely be back. My husband had the fried wings with pork fried rice and he loved it! I had the sweet and sour chicken with white rice. The rice was light and fluffy. I would have liked more vegetables (got three chunks of green bell pepper, two chunks of onion and a thin sliver of carrot plus a few chunks of pineapple. This might be something to add as an extra note next time. The chicken and sauce was perfectly tasty. Ordering was very easy on the website and we paid when we picked it up.

Google
The food is always good, and has been for the last 15 years! My family and I always go here for Chinese food and we all would recommend!

Yelp
What a difference two years makes. Once was a decent Chinese place to eat is now barely doable. We ate inside but for some reason it was served in to go boxes. A cost cutting step? The food was edible but not tasty. Egg drop soup likewarn and terrible small chicken wings. I cannot condone this restaurant anymore.Tge service was slow and ambiance was casual.

Yelp
I've been to China Cafe several times and I love it. The food is excellent, my favorites plates are the sesame chicken and the sweet and sour chicken from the combinations menu, which comes with fried rice, a spring roll and 1 chicken wing and a fortune cookie. Everytime I'm there no one else is... so ambience it's very quiet, but it's also a very busy restaurant cause there are a lot of people coming to get online orders. The cashier is always very nice and polite. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
We have orders take out and really enjoyed it. I really liked the sesame chicken and the fried rice.

Yelp
Service was great I order the spicy garlic beef Lunch with soup added on for $1.95 Hot and Sour soup was okay. The spicy garlic beef was great.

Robert S.

Yelp
Food was good, why expect us to come and order food at pickup place to pay, why give us paper plates and plastic silverware when employees are using real china and silverware, needs to improve on that, other businesses do operate like that

Mauricio B.

Yelp
The food Sometimes is good some times not. Today I got house fried rice was so simple not taste at all
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Delicious food, prompt and polite service. The pork fried rice was tasty and the fried chicken was tasty and crispy. The sweet and white chicken was also really delicious and the white rice was light and fluffy. We will be back for sure. Very easy to order through their website online and pick up in store.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Kung pao chicken had large vegetable pieces and not substantial amounts of chicken. No peanuts in the dish which is odd, when several area Chinese restaurants have peanuts in their kung pao. The fried rice had no hardly any veggies like peas or carrots. Mostly rice and bits of chicken. Serviceable but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Yelp
Service: n/a Food: 3/5 Cleanliness: 0/5 The food was decent, but I found a hair in one of the order. They also sent me incorrect item. Would I order again? No
google avatar

Yelp
I had a hankering for some Chinese food and ordered take out here. I went with the vegetable lo mein and some hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup was okay. Not bad. However, the vegetable lo mein was very over cooked and just not up to par at all. I was very disappointed in the dish and ended up throwing it out. Apparently they have a lunch buffet here during the week. Also, waiting for my food in the dining room was like torture. I haven't seen a place so badly in need of an update/remodel/throw the whole place away. I mean, you got wallpaper from who-knows-when peeling off, it's dark and dank, and it was stifling hot in there. Just old, dilapidated booths and carpet and I was ret ta go!!! I can't go back. Goodbye. Forever.

Robert R.

Yelp
I have enjoying food from this restaurant for at least 10 years. The people are helpful and polite. I miss the buffet lunch and the sit down meals, but the food is really great. I try to eat here at least every other week. The food is hot and delicious. the service is fast. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served.

Yelp
Stopped in today for my usual shrimp fried rice spicy. I also ordered the fried jumbo shrimp. I was given tarter sauce with the shrimp. Today my rice didn't taste as fresh, it looked good but the delicious taste I'm use to wasn't there. I asked for cocktail sauce explaining that it was a red sauce like ketchup. The waitress went inside the kitchen and came back with a younger guy who had a lil attitude when explaining all that they had was tarter, blue cheese, ranch or sweet and sour. I calmly said well that's OK. He just didn't seem happy about having to come out. He said it in a mean way. I know this is more of a takeout place but I sat and received table service I think that's what pissed them off too. The service wasn't as kind as other times. I felt rushed and they all seemed irritated. I also believe the picture taking of my food pissed them off. Makes me wonder what they are hiding. I won't be returning I use to really love this place.

Yelp
Always great food and service! I live in Buckhead and will drive here to get my fried rice fix

Joshua C.

Yelp
don't waste your money. inside looks sketch. the rice was bland. random pieces of fried chicken was in my order. the pork had a nasty after taste.

Dylan E.

Yelp
Got fried rice for takeout and both of ours were incredibly bland. Really seemed like everything but the rice was cooked from frozen with no seasoning and no sesame oil. At least it was cheap..

Thomas L.

Yelp
Ordered orange chicken and this restaurant literally sent up fried up chicken and thicken orange juice on the side. Sauce literally smelt and tastes like orange juice.

Tisha L.

Yelp
They have great service, the portions are worth the price and it's never failed me, I get satisfied every time
google avatar

Ken B.

Yelp
I've been craving pork fried rice for a little while now and China Café definitely has the best that I've tried in a while. Their fried wings were delicious and crispy as well, you must try them for yourself. I will be back very soon!
google avatar

Yelp
Great food always and prompt service. This place never disappoints. Love their hot and sour soup!
google avatar

Barbie S.

Yelp
I have been going here for a few years now. The customer service is good. The food is very flavorful and freshly made. It doesn't repeat on my like most Chinese food does. Wonderful lunch special, even on Saturdays.

Miranda H.

Yelp
Very fresh, very quick, and great tasting! Always ready within the time they give us. Never gotten a meal we didn't like. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Jami P.

Yelp
Moo shu chicken wraps were MOLDY!! Gross!! The crispy noodles for the soup were so stale. Wii never order from here again.
google avatar

Elaine Marie S.

Yelp
Delicious food that's not greasy. Quick service and my order is always accurate. I also appreciate that they take COVID precautions. I highly recommend you try this restaurant!

Sasha P.

Yelp
So delicious, we ordered 2 days in a row! The man working there this morning was so sweet and friendly, this is a great spot! We are vegetarians, their vegetable lo mein, vegetable fried rice, and vegetable spring rolls are incredible!
google avatar

John M.

google avatar

Amanda H.

Yelp
I order delivery from here all the time. The food is great! I recommend the lemon pepper wings and the shrimp and broccoli. They deliver within a reasonable time and the food is always hot. The delivery person is always pleasant. The prices are also fair. The minimum for delivery, is $11. Can't beet that!

Yelp
CHEAP. DELICIOUS. Fresh and tasty, doesn't taste like they used 2+ tbsp of msg in their stuff. I likey likey! I got: -Kung pao chicken: variety of vegetables including baby corn and this crispy vegetable, $8.75 -Mongolian beef: my favorite, sweet and savory beef slices mixed with crispy white noodles, $8.95 -Peking delight: should be renamed vegetarian's delight, broccoli and mushrooms and other veggies...all FRESH, $6.95 -FREE CHINESE DONUTS WITH MY ORDER???!? (typically $2.95) -Plain white rice with the order (comes with the main entrees?) I guess if you order a certain amount you get free stuff. Not sure if the free stuff changes every time, but our order was $25 ish and I got the donuts. Sweeeet!

Yelp
So I've lived in the area for a few years now, and until last night, I had no idea of a good Chinese restaurant in the area (although I'm sure there are plenty, since Gwinnett County is full of Asian establishments). Anyways, on a weekly basis, these folks slip their menus under my front door, and after collecting them for my recycling bin, I finally decided to try them last night. Well I'm glad I did, because they really have some pretty good food. I got some hot and sour soup, which was brought out steaming hot (as soup should be of course), and the taste was up to par as well. I also ordered a combination dish, the garlic chicken one to be exact, which I must say, for $7.25 came with quite a lot of food. All combination dishes come with fried rice, egg roll, and a chicken wing (not sure why the random 1 chicken wing is thrown in, but whatever it works). Needless to say, the food was great, and I am happy to have finally found a place which will satisfy my occasional need for Chinese food or take-out. Lesson Learnt in This Review: Try out the places that send you menus and coupons in the mail/under your door, they might not be so bad! That's all for now folks! :)

Yelp
This is my go to place for delivery, the fastest delivery Ive ever had! The food is always delicious and perfect. Try the Mongolian Beef is one of my fav. Service is quick, precise, and friendly. Great Staff that remembers you. They recognized me after I moved, TWICE.
google avatar

Yelp
Really enjoyed the broccoli with my lunch sesame chicken special. The wonton soup was simple with two wontons and a weak chicken based broth. I always add a little soy sauce. The white rice was average. My food was extremely hot leaving the restaurant. Will be back, best Chinese in Duluth.

Yelp
So, after dining here twice and getting take-out from here twice, I believe that a review is well in order. When I'm craving Chinese food, this is easily my go-to spot. Upon entering the small restaurant, the first thing you'll see is a fish tank - then the small dining room, with about a dozen tables. The walls are covered with a cheap wallpaper that does not fit the theme of a Chinese restaurant - it's probably fair to say that a restaurant with such a tight budget has other priorities than to worry about décor. Of course, the other priorities that I speak of are the food items- and my, do they hit the spot. I've eaten the crab rangoons, egg drop soup, General Tso's Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, and Kung Pao Chicken (yes, I love chicken). It's all been consistently tasty -my favorite being the General Tso's Chicken, by far. It's got a great spicy-sweet sauce that goes perfectly on the chicken. The lunch specials (for the three aforementioned chicken dishes) only cost about $5-7 and included a generous mound of rice (fried or steamed), a chicken wing, and vegetable roll - quite a bargain if you ask me. Even with the low price, I still have a hard time managing to eat the entire quantity of food. I leave with a full, satisfied stomach and virtually no impact to my bank account.

Yelp
I have only ordered delivery and takeout from here, and I must say that they have yet to disappoint me. Delivery times are pretty much what is estimated, usually 45-60 min. However, pickup/takeout only takes about 10-15 min. Every container of food that I've ever received always seemed like they stuffed it until the lid can barely shut ( which is a SUPER PLUS :P ) Food is very tasty, nothing is overly or under seasoned. Their meat dishes also come with a good amount of vegetable. My favorites are the vegetable mei fun (thin rice noodles), beef low mein, sweet & sour chicken (the sauce comes on the side), spicy garlic beef (for those who cannot stand spicy (such as myself), this is not a spicy dish at all. very tolerable), and general tso chicken. Their interior always seems clean when I walk in too. The workers are also very patient and understanding. Great neighborhood Chinese spot! Definitely recommend! *** Just wanted to add that they do serve lunch buffets Mon-Fri between 11-3 (I believe that's the time) for around $6-7 ***

Yelp
It was actually good. The fried rice ia not yellow rice it's actually fried rice. The chicken was okay. Pepper steak was good and I haven't had a good one in a while. Mom had the Szechuan beef and she said it was like she had in Baltimore. Don't use the online ordering because there is a glitch in the pricing. I will definitely order from them again.
google avatar

Cyancai J.

Yelp
I've taken out from here several times and the food has never disappointed. I usually get Pad Thai, delicious and a great portion size, always leftovers. The wings are also good, nice crisp, size and flavor. I got shrimp fried rice with them and it was decently loaded, super good! I also like that you can customize your spice level so it's never too much. Great lunch special and I love the hot and sour soup. Overall good prices, good food!
google avatar

Keisha R.

Yelp
Hands down the best in metro ATL: -lemon pepper wings cooked to perfection -shrimp fried rice has actual shrimp, and it's plentiful -all menu items feature hefty portions that can easily feed at least two -lunch specials (very reasonable prices w/o it) -call in your order, ready in 10 mins -clean dine-in area -CONSISTENT, never had a "bad batch" of anything 4 stars only because the buffet is not really a "buffet" when compared with other restaurants (much smaller, fewer options) but they make due for a cafe. Been eating here since 2007. Not sure why I'm just now doing a review but I will drive out of my way to eat here and that's sayin something.
google avatar

Yelp
This review is for China Cafe's delivery through the Yelp app. Overall, nothing to complain about here. This is solid, Americanized Chinese delivery food. General Tso's? Exactly how you would expect it. Tasty - not soggy. Sweet and Sour [insert protein here]? Exactly how you would expect it. Just crispy enough and not too much batter. Delicious wonton chips? Check. Fortune cookies? Check. Particular standout at this location is the Mei Fun noodles - they are delicious! (We had the vegetarian version.) We are right down the road from this location, so they deliver relatively quickly - always under an hour. If you're in the Norcross/Peachtree Corners/Duluth area and looking for good delivery Chinese, this place is a safe bet - give it a shot.

Jim S.

Yelp
Delicious... Except... the moo shu pancakes are dry and crumbly egg roll wrappers... horrible! Everything else was very tasty! The chicken and beef chefs special was delish! Also, very good fried dumplings. Would do all again, but no more moo shu. I highly recommend that they make traditional pancakes for their moo shu.

Jay M.

Yelp
I order here often. Never can go wrong with chicken wings and pork fried rice. I'm moved around a quite bit since graduating college and every new city I must find a good Chinese restaurant. Don't be fool by the interior of the restaurant. Could it be renovated? Yes, but it doesn't take away from the quality of the food. China Cafe is definitely my go to
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
This is my favorite Chinese takeout place to order from, I have it had anything better than this! They are the nicest people, and will accommodate how spicy you want your food. It's so surprising how fast they're finished cooking your food fresh. Definitely check out this place and don't forget to order any beef entrée because they are the best!!
google avatar

Tiffany M.

Yelp
The food was sooo sooo good, we ordered House Egg Fu Young and Sesame Chicken!! Delivery was very fast and the food was piping hot! Very impressed, especially since we ordered right before closing time!! They even gave complementary Chinese donuts because the order was over $20 Too bad I don't live near by, this would be my go to Chinese takeout!
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
I have always gotten to-go or it delivered. Its not really a sot down restaurant. But- the food is very good. The Spicy Garlic Beef is one of my favorites, (note- I love spicy food and eat it on the reg) but its really not that spicy. SESAME BEEF IS AWESOME! Lets see... also the Mongolian beef is really good but sometimes too 'drowned out' by the excessive onions and sauce. THEY ARE MY FAVE QUICK- TAKE OUT -CHINESE PLACE. They also have coupons online and on their physical menu. They deliver too- and OMG they are at your door quick and the food is literally scalding hot, which is awesome when you are waiting to eat at your own time or waiting on family, etc. (IM TELLING YOU IT IS HOT!) fresh off the stove hot. Anyways, they might not be fancy, but they sure do know how to provide good food.
google avatar

Chambliss T.

Yelp
My husband and I ordered two entrees. (beef lo mein and shrimp & broccoli) the food was great and came nice and hot. They also threw in extra food for ordering more than $15.00 worth of food. Delivery was also very fast! We would definitely order from here again.
google avatar

Anthony E.

Yelp
With a very standard looking menu it's very easy to look over this place. I highly recommend their mei fun, it's the best I've had in a long while. I've ordered from them 3 times now and It's been great every time. As long as I'm in this area, I'll only order take out from China Cafe.
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
China Cafe is my go to Chinese place in Duluth. It just literally doesn't get better than this. Here's why: The service is bar none some of the best I've had with either pick up or delivery. The staff are always friendly on the phone even when they're slammed. The food is delectable, both in taste and presentation. I'll usually order either the Szechuan Chicken, General Tsu Chicken, or my personal favorite - the Mongolian Beef. I will typically order this a side of chicken fried rice and they will either throw in some awesome egg rolls or the fried donuts, which are to die for. I'll conclude on this note, I don't often eat out or deliver in. But when I've got a hankering for some Chinese food - China Cafe is who I will call.

Jackie T.

Yelp
Definitely recommend stopping by and getting some dumplings and shrimp meal The Dumplings where amazing.
google avatar

Sunira M.

Yelp
First of all, let me set your level of expectation for this place. It's a cheap, hole-in-the-wall chinese restaurant. There is really nothing special in terms of decor. Now, what makes this place worthy of five stars is that it pretty much rocks the food genre of cheap chinese. 1) The food is delicious. I've ordered several dishes and have yet to be disappointed. Everything is fresh. I love the sauces, both brown, sweet, or white. 2) The food is fast. Since they do take out and delivery too, I guess they have to be fast, but for someone like me who stops in to eat at their tables, the speed is awesome! 3) Waiter is attentive. This is rare in cheap chinese. Usually they're so busy manning the telephone lines and yelling at the cook, they barely have time to look at you much less give you decent service. This is not true of China Cafe. My water was always full, and the waiter checked on plenty. 4) The quantity and price are right. If you wind up spending $9 for a dinner sized entree you will be eating it for at least two meals. I mean, unless you're a huge glutton. Can't help you there. :p Anyway I love China Cafe. Sometimes, I don't want to spend $35 + on a good meal, and I get my needs met at China Cafe. :)

Yelp
China Cafe is the best little cafe in town! Always fast, friendly service. Food is always fresh and made to order. You won't find a better place to grab a bite then this little cafe! My parents came in from out of town and stopped here. They came to my place raving about the food the had eaten so i ask where. They described China Cafe. I said you dont have to tell, i already know!

Yelp
I have not eaten at the restaurant yet, so this review is for their delivered items. I am excited to try their buffet at some point as I have not found a consistently good Asian buffet in Duluth (which seems to have no shortage of bad or mediocre ones). Having said those things, my wife and I were VERY impressed with the food we got. It was delivered hot, obviously fresh and very flavorful and tasty. Their menu is fairly extensive and the portions were huge. In fact ordering 2 entrees and 1 appetizer, we managed to get 5 actual meals out of that (2 nights of dinner for us and 1 lunch for me), and those 5 meals cost us a total of $26 (including tip and delivery fee). Most of the reviews on here are very positive which is well deserved. To the one person complaining about the food being "Americanized", I can certainly attest that is correct, but in my 47 years on this planet I think I've only been to 2 Chinese restaurants in the US that were truly authentic to China. In this world, no matter what our jobs, we cater to our audience and that's all that China café is doing here. If they had a lot of duck tongue or chicken feet dishes on the menu, I'm guessing they wouldn't do that well. That's basically a long way of saying I'm not sure "Americanized" is a fair criticism. This place, based on my one delivery experience, is very good and I will be eating there again and again.

Yelp
Decor: Carved wood tables under glass tops. Mirrors on the NNE wall and water features near the WNW entrance -- I'm guessing feng shui, but I don't know enough to say one way or the other. Iced tea is freshly brewed and tasty. Prices are very good -- $1.50 for most soups, $7 for any vegetarian entree. Ma po tofu is actually hot, as is (homemade) hot mustard. I really love these fortune cookies because they tend to include actual bits of wisdom such as "all virtues arise from honor" and "he who chastises one chastises twenty", and are printed in both Spanish and English. The random lottery numbers are chosen a little too randomly: mine begins 3, 3, 9, 76, 9. Note to vegetarians: Ordering a tofu dish doesn't ensure that it is vegetarian. Order ma po tofu with NO BEEF if you want a less traditional version. The sadder but wiser Yelper: that's me.
