NO KIDDING AROUND!! Best takeout Chinese food me and family have ever had !!! AMAZING. We travel 4 cities away , but so worth the drive everytime . Always consistent and very well priced . very good people. I hope they stick around for years to come !

Clean restaurant. Pleasant and efficient staff. The pork fried rice was terrible. Didn't look appetizing and it was mushy to the taste. One out of four in our party looked at the rice and didn't even try it

First time ordering from here and the food was horrible you can’t even chew the meat. They over cooked it chewing the meat hurts your teeth it taste like left over food .and they heat it up. Never again

I have ordered China Chef every 2 weeks for years. I love their dinner plates, Appetizers, egg rolls, and chicken and shrimp. The delivery guys is always pleasant and the food is a toll hot. I hope you stay in business forever. Thank you China Chef You make delicious food.

I went to this restaurant yesterday and ordered pork fried rice and chicken wings. It was the most insipid food I've had in a long time. The wings had no seasoning, and the rice was wet and unpleasant. I won't be returning to that restaurant. This is why people in general have been eating out less. I’d rather make a mediocre meal at home than pay for one.

The food is good... not great

I recently moved to Massachusetts from New Jersey less then a year ago. Unfortunately my wife & I couldn't find good quality Chinese Food at a reasonable price here in Mass. until we tried China Chef recently. We ordered take out. The food was excellent. They have great tasting, fresh, quality food at a reasonable price. This will be our go to for Chinese Food in the future. I highly recommended giving the food at China Chef a try.

I decided to give this place another try. Glad I did, Sooo much better this time! We ordered from the lunch menu (about $6.50 per plate before MA tax). The chicken wing app was a big hit for my party. Literally everyone liked it! It was perfectly breaded, seasoned, and deep fried. The egg foo young was also pretty good too. Perfect egg to gravy ratio with lots of bean sprouts mixed in. This was also my first time trying chow mein. It did not look appealing, but I was pleasantly surprised that it tasted pretty good! The pork fried rice still needs work though. It was bland and tasteless. I had to mix it with the shrimp chow mein to make it taste better. Please note, this is a take out spot only! Decent, local, American-Chinese food with good prices! All in all, I'd definitely try it again. You should try it out if you're in the area.

The restaurant has changed and I will start looking for another place. After some 12+ years, it is obvious someone else took over the cooking. Dexter wouldn't make what we had yesterday nor would he approve. The Sichuan chicken had no resemblance to anything I've ever seen. Barely any chicken(next to none) and the chicken that was there, were pencil thin strips mixed with overloads of onions and peppers and an unrecognizable sauce that made the dish into a sloppy soup. The rice grains in the fried rice are so small that they make a good baby food. So much sauce it is more like cement. This was my last meal here unless I read things changed. Sorry.

The best Chinese food in Brockton!! No dine in, takeout only and good parking. Fast service.

Won't be ordering takeout from here again. Most of what we ordered lacked flavor. The orange chicken barely had a hint of orange flavoring to it. Lobster Rangoon tasted mostly of cream cheese. Rice and items in the pupu platter were pretty bland too. Literally stopped eating and have ordered food from another place.

Last night I reviewed Yelp to choose a new takeout spot for Chinese food and China Chef was #1 in Brockton. The service was fine but we did not like anything except for the eggroll. The vegetable fried rice seemed leftover. It was heavy and greasy. The chicken wings were huge but again did not appear fresh at all. The crab rangoon was stale. The General Gau chicken was the worst I've ever had. The meat seemed like another type of fowl and was pink inside. Greasy and heavy too. Sorry China Chef. It was all so unappetizing I had to write a review.

I just got the General Tso's combination plate with 2 appetizers. I substituted lo mein instead of the rice (only a $1.50 upcharge as opposed to the $4-$5 upcharge I pay at other local Chinese restaurants). The quality was quite good. Everything tasted fresh. The General Tso's had a nice kick to it but wasn't too spicy. The appetizers (boneless spare rib and beef teryaki) were tasty and not greasy or fatty. The lo mein was freshly made with good vegetables. Everything cost ONLY $16!!! That's cheaper than any other Chinese place around. Bang for the buck this place can't be beat. There was enough food to feed 2 hungry diners (at least). Although I also love Bamboo Cafe the same General Tso's combo with 2 appetizers and lo mein substitution cost a little over $21. China Chef is my new go to spot for Chinese food.

I have been driving by this place forever . I was craving some Chinese food so I decided to give it a try. Ordered a pu pu platter for one and a pork lo mein. I must say if you are in the mood for some basic greasy old school Chinese it was great! Lo mein was excellent. My favorite was the crab Rangoon and beef teriyaki along with the chicken fingers. The wings were adequate and I didn't like the chicken teriyaki. I would go back for sure if I want to be a bad girl! Ps. Egg roll was yummy

What the heck is wrong at this place. I've had good food I've had ok food I've had extremely salty food. Nothing is fresh. Cheese Rangoon must be frozen because they are stale every time. The beef and broccoli is so squishy it makes you think it is not beef. Plate after place I've thrown out. I've called them they sent other plates. Come on. The owner is extremely nice and workers are very nice all so but I'm done. Not another dime of my money. Lo mein is factory made. The rice tastes like it arrives in buckets. Small grain rice tonight looks like rice bits. Chicken fingers were ok. I use to order the wings but they kept coming old like they were reheated or cooked from frozen. I just can't.

The food use to be good in the beginning. Yet lately it is awful. The rice comes to dark with a burnt flavor. The beef and chicken are like rubber.The Lo Mein and egg rolls so greasy. They delivered the wrong food today and when I called he agrued with me on the phone. Finally had it never again.

My dad loves this place. Her orders pretty much the same thing every time. The lobster sauce is his favorite. My moms is the beef and broccoli because the beef is tender. This place is the best place closest to home.

The food was amazing! Hot and fresh pork lomein and general tso chicken. The lomein was full of flavor, vegetables and meat. The general tso chicken was tender, soaked with sauce and very delicious! They also have round chopsticks that you don't need to break to use which is much easier than most!

Imagine how disappointed we were when we called to order at 6:30 pm and were told to call back at 8:00 and when we did they were no longer accepting any orders. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life. Even after explaining that we were told to call at that time---nothing. 2020 strikes again!!!

Don't let the size of the place fool you. They have good food for a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and helpful

So I've been going to the same Chinese restaurant for 5 years. Tonight I go in to order a dinner, since I'm alone. They don't do dinners on Holidays. I guess lonely people aren't allowed to eat on holidays. Thanks China Chef for making my New Years even Worse!!! I'm as stubborn as they come and I will take my business elsewhere.

China Chef is my absolute favorite Chinese food. Everything is so fresh and colorful. Some of my favorite foods from here are; Chow Mai Fun, delicious light airy rice noodles with fresh vegetables sautéed in a light garlic sauce. Their chicken wings are so delicious! Huge, crispy brown and flavorful. Also, you can't go wrong with a veggie delight. Colorful fresh veggies sautéed in a light brown sauce that won't make you feel guilty after eating. My favorite!

i love china chef. food here is great. people who own this are nice. never really have any issues besides them forgetting gravy sometimes

Wow, their shrimp, chicken wing, beef with broccoli is good! Totally worth going there. Reasonable price for good Chinese fast food.

The worst Chinese food I've ever had. The sweet and sour chicken tasted like corndog batter and the sauce tasted terrible like it wasn't any good. The fried rice was even worse .

I ordered chow mein and the vegetables were not fresh and crunchy. The egg rolls were good and I requested no MSG, they complied. The noodles were thick and not tasty. It was my first call and my last.

Always a great place to eat, a take out place that also delivers. Never had anything bad there, and the staff is very friendly. The stand outs for me are Kung Pao Shrimp, done perfectly! Also they have great General Gau's chicken. Also they always seem to have the highest quality meat in the beef teriyaki and chicken fingers.

I've just had this today, it was great, I had the chicken teriyaki and white rice. The rice was great, it was jasmine rice unlike other places which is a mix. The small chicken teriyaki comes it 4 pieces. It was inexpensive, overall great food.

Had a wonderful experience just now. I was ordering from the combo menu but needed to sub a couple things due to dietary restrictions. The lady at the counter helped me with the menu and showed me that I can get the same things and amount of food just by ordering a different way. She saved me $4.00!! How awesome is that??! Very rare that a Chinese takeout place is willing to help you save money! They just gained a loyal customer for as long as I live in Brockton! And guess what tops it all off? The food is great!!

Surprisingly decent American Chinese food. I've never thought to go here due to its hole in the wall appearance, but i was pleasantly surprised. While not the best I've had, the prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes. The vegetables were crisp and plentiful, the fried rice was cooked just right, and the sauce on the main course was good, just a bit too sweet. My only complaint was the chicken was a bit rubbery and they probably use msg so I'll see if they can omit it next time. I'll be coming back, very affordable food especially in these times we're living in when most restaurant food has skyrocketed in price.

Delicious! I ordered online and showed up to them making my meal to order, so I brought it home and it was still hot. Best dumplings I may have ever had at a take out Chinese place. And crab Rangoon's were DELISH too!!

I order from here on my lunch break often. The lunch specials are inexpensive and the food is made quickly. My go to is hot and sour soup and a side of steamed white rice, which costs me under $5. Good location right off Torrey St with plenty of parking.

Great service and family owned business. Great price for a lot of food. Our favorites are the steamed dumplings and the beef lo mein!

If you live in easton and don't feel like driving to Chinatown in Canton and only need the basics to be good....this is your place. Pork fried rice, lo mein, chicken fingers, spareribs, beef terriyake were all good Yes this place is cheap Yes it is clean Yes it is inconsistent. Hopefully, you go on a good day.

On two separate occasions, I used my debit card for this restaurant and my card info was stolen and used for hundreds of dollars. I will never order from here again and recommend that, if you choose to, you pay in cash. On top of that, the food wasn't even that good.

This place has great take out at a reasonable price. Food is very good and the staff is also pleasant. This is my go to chinese food place thats close by my home. Decent portion size and well seasoned. Ive pnly been here a few times but the food has always been decent and tasty.

Everyone seemed very friendly. It was not the best Chinese food I've had but it was very good. I will be going back. It is right next to my work. I really like that you can order and pay online.

This place has really yummy and sweet boneless spareribs. Work has had them cater lunch many times, and everything has always been great. However, I must warn you...they have some weird chicken wings. They are similar to the traditional chicken wings we have come to expect, but appear to be much larger (wings on steroids maybe haha), and they are breaded in panko bread crumbs, and then fried. Def a place to check out if you are looking for some good Chinese food in Brockton.

I eat china chef way too often. You can't dine in, it's only take out. But they have the best fried chicken wings and their white rice is always cooked perfect. Lately their chow means have been slacking but the boneless spare ribs are awesome. This is fantastic hangover Chinese food and it's cheap and always ready fast! I hope they never up their prices because I keep going back because it's an awesome deal.

I have heard from a couple of people that the food here was good so I gave them a try. I tried a couple of things mostly appetizers and rice; the rice and appetizers (egg rolls, crab rangoon, chicken wings, beef teriyahi, boneless ribs) were good but I did feel they needed to cook the boneless ribs and teriyaki a little longer. I always put my food in the oven so by the time I ate it the ribs and teriyaki were like they should have been. The egg foo yong was good as well. The restaraunt is very clean; seating is limited to maybe four tables, I would return here as the food was good and it is closer than where I would normally drive to to get Chinese; I am particular about Chinese food and will drive further out to get it.

Soooooo much food and great taste. We ordered sesame chicken with 2 sides and it was more than enough for the two of us! And I like Chinese food, too! Highly recommend. Service was great. I was going to order online but I went in and it was ready in less than 10 minutes.

Even though the food is mediocre at best, the owner could care less about his customers. First off what Chinese place puts 3tbl of pepper in their Wonton soup!? Yuck! They just don't listen. This place has no sensitivity to spices or what the customer wants. During a blizzard they refused to bring the correct order back, even after we picked it up in the first place! Not to mention that the owner, yes the owner told me "im not bringing the food to you. too bad if you dont like the food I cant help you. Sorry" and then HUNG up on me! It was a 30 sec conversation. And he knows ive ordered from them st least 3x before! This place just thew a customer out the windoww for a $3 soup. I will spend my money elsewhere where the food is appropriately spiced and the customer service is normal and works to please. Btw,mi brought back the soup in the snow and the owner was HIDING! WHAT A COWARD. I HOPE THIS PLACE GOES OUT OF BUSINESS. Btw if its bad weather expect that they won't deliver! They rather you drive in rain snow etc. RIDICULOUS.

Best Chinese food! Never disappointed in the food here. The chicken fingers and pork fried rice always hit the spot! Definitely recommend!
