Where to Get the Best Korean Noodles in Los Angeles - Eater LA
"China Gate has been a fixture in Koreatown for decades, and their jjajangmyeon is as delicious as ever. With a chewy bed of flour noodles adorned with nice thick cubes of pork and a sauce that's just the right side of greasy and savory, it's classic Korean-Chinese comfort food served up in no-frill digs a little north of Dewey Ave. and Olympic Blvd." - Euno Lee
Came here a long long time ago and did not have a good experience. Surprisingly, this time i was pleasantly surprised with food taste and quality. I especially judge based on freshness of ingredients and not too over seasoning. Dishes were delicious and portions were great as well staffs were attentive and friendly. I will be back again to see if they're not one time wonder

Relatively better Korean-Chinese restaurant. They offer several course menus. Even the one with lowest price is a lot for a table of ten. Food is good, but some parts of the restaurant is quite run-down. They have spacious parking space but valet parking is necessary during peak lunch/dinner hours ($2 as of May 2018). It’s a good place to hold a group meet up.

One of my "families" go to restaurants for special occasions.
Beautifully done decor sets the stage for a lovely presentation of wonderfully prepared deliciousness.
Service isn't up to par. Waitres knocked into me several times...spilled things...slow serving and clearing. Too bad, otherwise they would be a 5☆.

Love China Gate's customer service. Food items are Chinese/Korean fusion. They have banquet rooms for large parties. I have been going here for almost 20 years and food quality remains excellent.

This place has serves one of the best mapo tofu dish in the LA area. Their kung pao shrimp, sweet and sour soup, and steamed fish are also killer. Basically, just order anything on their menu, none have ever disappointed

Chinese food and the feeling here is excellent. Got there near six, it wasn't packed at all. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here.

Food has definitely gone down over the years. Wouldn't be surprised if they were strictly sustaining on their banquet/event rooms because the restaurant area always seem to be empty.
