The family-owned spot serves both Americanized Chinese items and more traditional Chinese dishes, but its signature dish is the juicy pork buns, steamed and stuffed with pork and broth. Top Chinese restaurants still open in Las Vegas right now for takeout and delivery - Eater Vegas

"Look for two different menus here. One carries more Americanized versions of Chinese fare. The other is dishes Chinese patrons may prefer. The restaurant’s signature dish, juicy pork buns, comes steamed and stuffed with pork and broth. China Mama also has dim sum. Open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily for takeout. Popular Chinese Restaurant Shut Down by Health Department - Eater Vegas

"China Mama, the Chinese restaurant known for its soup dumplings and mapo tofu at 3420 S. Jones Blvd., was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection on April 9 revealed 46 demerits. Inspectors found staff not properly washing their hands, spoiled food, food held at the wrong temperature, food unprotected from potential contamination, ineffective pest control measures, reused single-use items, and more. This marks the fifth time since 2008 that the restaurant earned a C grade from the health department. In 2010, the restaurant came within two points of being shut down." - Susan Stapleton

All About Vegas

Google
I finally tried the original China Mama in Las Vegas and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We ordered the orange chicken (perfectly crispy and flavorful), the shrimp spring rolls, and the beef fried rice, all super tasty. But the honey walnut shrimp and crispy beef were the real standouts. So good! The restaurant was packed, but the service was still fast and friendly. The staff made us feel really welcome, like we were regulars. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious Chinese comfort food in Vegas, this place is a must. Great vibe, great food, great people

Google
We were very happy and satisfied with the taste, quality and presentation of the dishes that we ordered for lunch yesterday. We brought our friends here for the first time and they wanted to come back soon to taste the other dishes. The favorite was the crispy beef which was really very good. We tried the crispy beef before in the other location and it was not as good as this one. The texture of the beef was amazing as you can still bite into the crunch despite of the sauce. The sauce was savory with just the right amount of sweetness. We also had the pork knuckle that was fall off the bone tender, the crispy duck, spicy eggplant with pork and the Mama's noodles. Everything was great and the service was really good. Our waiter really catered to our needs. The atmosphere was very relaxing as well. Even though the place was full, it was not very loud. The place is not too big yet not cramped and the decor looks well thought. One more thing, the jasmine tea was really fragrant. We will definitely be back.

Google
Exceptional food and great service. We found this place because of reviews and were blown away. Every dish was high quality the stand outs were the spicy wonton, crispy beef and hand made dumplings. Really distinct flavors not the usual high sugar stuff from other Chinese spots I would encourage getting their rice cakes too. Really flavorful noodle. The service is exceptional, very friendly and prompt. The place is also immaculate. You can tell there is a lot of care put into the place. Highly recommend it

Google
The moment we walked in the door, we knew we were in the right place. The aromas of authentic Chinese food met us instantly. The friendly, attentive staff made sure all our needs were met. The jasmine tea had to be the best quality tea I’ve experienced out. We had shrimp rolls, Mama’s Special Fried rice and the Crispy Beef exceeded the reviews. Pictures of food indicate we had to eat some first, before taking pics. Looking forward to enjoying more of the menu in the very near future. Thank you, Mama, for a wonderful meal and experience.

Google
Wonderful food for a range of tastes and at reasonable prices. The quantities are large and the staff are attentive and courteous. I’d highly recommend China Mama if you’re in Las Vegas.

Google
Came here twice during our Vegas trip — everything was delicious! The wontons in Szechuan pepper sauce, dry pepper chicken, and honey walnut shrimp were all amazing with generous portions. Love the modern, classy vibe and the pretty China plates. Super friendly staff too. We skipped the long wait at Shanghai Plaza and came to this location instead — plenty of parking and no wait. So glad we did! Will definitely be back!

Google
We always come here whenever we’re in Vegas m. Their food has a very unique taste ans cooking but we always love their crunchy chicken, spicy but it’s really good! My sweet and sour chicken disn’r make it to the best presentation, it’s almost gone! Will comeback to try for more delicacies they can offer!!!

Google
I had a fantastic dining experience at China Mama! The food was incredibly tasty — full of authentic flavors that truly hit the spot. The service was also top-notch; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. If you’re craving delicious, authentic Chinese cuisine, China Mama is definitely the place to go!

Yelp
Loved this place. Took care of us with good food and fast service. We come here a couple times a month.

Yelp
This was the old location which is not open anymore. We ordered pickup for dinner and the food was good considering it was 25 min away from home. Service was quick to order and pickup. The restaurant was older but clean from what we saw. Happy they relocated to continue trying their menu out.

Yelp
China Mama in Las Vegas serves some of the best Chinese food in the area, which explains why people line up even before it opens. I tried Mama's Crispy Beef, which was deliciously sweet and crunchy--a must-have dish. The pan-fried pork buns were also delicious, with a nice crisp outside and juicy inside. The Szechwan Tantan Noodles were another standout due to their perfect balance of spice and flavor. The service was prompt and efficient, and I appreciated being able to watch the chefs work in the open kitchen. The portions are generous, ideal for sharing, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I recommend China Mama to anyone looking for flavorful, well-prepared Chinese food in Las Vegas.

Yelp
Rented a car for the day so decided to venture off-strip and try this place out. We came during off-hours, probably around 2 or 3 PM, but there was still a wait. We waited 30 - 45 min for a table for 2. We had enough time to go to the Asian market across the street to browse and come back haha. It was extremely busy inside and loud as well. We ordered a few different items: Beef roll, XLB, veggies, and the crispy chicken. All of the items were good, but nothing great or amazing. Honestly, the thing I enjoyed the most was the veggie dish haha. The crispy chicken was reminiscent of an orange chicken, as it was a bit on the sweeter side. I would've preferred it to be spicier. Overall, this restaurant was good, but nothing extraordinary. Still worth the stop if you are nearby, just prepare to wait!

Yelp
China Mama does take reservations for parties of 6 or more. We did have a party of 7 so I was able to score a reservation. Credit card is required to secure the reservation. I have been seeing China Mama all over IG and wanted to check it out. China Mama is located off the strip. China Mama is located in a plaza so there is a parking lot. They do have a heated waiting area using heat lamps, but most people just sit in their car until you get a text saying your table is ready. I really did enjoy my food here. They do make their own in-house pastry. Big mouth roll- I thought this didn't have too much flavor and it taste like it was missing something. I would pass on this. Dumplings-I love how soft the buns are and the crispiness on the bottom. I thought soup was going to pour out, but it didn't. However, the meat was tasty. Crispy duck- this is my first time having crispy duck. The fried on the duck was nice and the meat wasn't dry. It was different. We wish that it came with some buns so we can wrap it. Crispy beef- My favorite of the night. It's a must. You must get this dish. The beef is cook with the right amount of crisp and the sauce was just right. You must finish this dish because it doesn't taste good the next day. I would come back just for this dish alone. String bean- their string bean was delicious. I like that they still had a bit of crunch to it. Very yummy. China Mama does offer many other dishes and I can't wait to come back to try it out. If you're ever cravings Chinese food in Vegas this is a place for you.

Yelp
Saw a clip of China Mama on Instagram; looked really good and was on our bucket list for our Vegas trip. I went with a group of 8. We arrived around 1ish and it was so packed! The waiting time was 1.5 to 2 hours. I put my name on the waitlist. We got a table within a hour. Inside the restaurant was tiny. Barely any room at the entrance. Limited tables and staff working here. The thing that stood out to me was the window where you can see the kitchen staff making your food. Now when we sat down. Everyone was hungry. So we started shooting our orders to the waiter, very nicely and polite. We ordered a lot and had to take it to go. We ordered... Crispy duck: it was crispy but super plain, bland taste. Came with a side of sauce. Orange chicken: ordered it with the sauce on the side. It was delicious. The chicken was crispy and the orange sauce complimented it. Scallion pancake: the best I had ever had! It was flavorful, slightly oily, lots of scallions, it was crispy yet soft on the inside. It needed no extra flavor. Perfect as is. Crispy pork with Mama Special sauce: pork was sliced thinly and a bit too crispy for me. I did not enjoy this dish but my cousin did. The sauce was bit too much for me. Cucumber salad with mashed garlic: this is a simple dish yet so flavorful. I like it a lot. Huge fan of the garlic, I almost finished the plate lol. Steamed juicy pork buns: the most famous dish there and it was delicious when it came out of the kitchen. You have to make sure to eat it hot! Had enough soup in it, super freaken fresh! Add a little chili oil and it's A one! We ordered two orders of this. Fresh shrimp wonton: super bland, no flavor. I suggest to skip this dish Mama pan fried pork buns: second famous dish there. It is so crispy on the outside, the filling is delicious and def worth the wait. We order two orders. Sizzling rice with sea food soup: skip this. Super bland, no flavor. Def not worth it. Honey walnut shrimp: it was good but did not stand out. Good walnut, shrimp, and sauce ratio though. Fried rice with egg: I'm super picky of fried rice but this is passable. I was able to enjoy it. It was not overly seasoned, just right. We had the shrimp in it as well Overall: not worth the wait. After experiencing this restaurant, it did not stand out to me. I would probably only return for the steamed pork buns and the pan fried buns. I would order to go only in the future. Staff tend to forget to bring us stuff we had asked for. They were busy and I get it. I had patience. The Instagram clip really did up sale this place lol.

Yelp
Great place to try! But bc of the hype, the wait was longer than anticipated Food (4/5) -- - Crispy beef was delicious. It seemed to be one of the most popular dishes, and it was surprisingly up to the hype. I'd recommend! - Szechuan TanTan Noodle was another favorite. We initially wanted to order the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, but the restaurant said they were out of it. It was fine though because the TanTan Noodle was amazing. I'd recommend! - Big Mouth Roll was standard and tasted better with the soy sauce and chili oil since that helped to add flavor. - Mama's Special Pan Fried Pork Buns were pretty oily and soggy, but were good to try. - Steamed Juicy Pork Buns were basically soup dumplings. Nothing out of the ordinary, but still a good try. Service -- Came to China Mama for the first time on a Sunday around 6:20pm where the quoted wait time was 70-90 mins. Seems like the groups that crowd by the entrance are more likely to be sat prior to the groups who wait outside/elsewhere, so we ended up waiting over the 90 mins since we were being sat after some groups that arrived after us. The host noticed though and offered to take our orders while we waited for the next available table. Once we were seated, service was good and quick

Yelp
Ate here a few weeks ago. The wait time was about 50 minutes for the two of us. The line was already wrapped around the building. The interior entrance way is not very big and the restaurant itself also doesn't accommodate a lot of tables. The food was good, we enjoyed it but not a place I would rush back for. Or maybe we ordered the wrong dishes. I wanted to love it based on reviews but wasn't blown away by the flavors. The cost is pretty comparable but probably a little higher for off strip places. Staff were nice, came and checked on us every now and then. We didn't need much so that didn't bother us. Parking lot gets jammed packed due to the amount of businesses in this strip mall.

Yelp
We arrived 15 minutes before it opened for dinner and there was already a line. Which should say something!!! It truly was AMAZING!!! We were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. We were seated right away and our server came to our table and made some delicious recommendations. We were not disappointed! Every dish was extremely amazing and delicious. We loved that we were able to see them making our dishes. The ambiance was everything we expected and more! We will definitely be coming back very soon!!!

Yelp
A little bit overdue. But I've been wanting to try China mama for a while. I've heard great things about it and I love Chinese food. For one definitely try to get on the waitlist before coming. I didn't know that they had a wait list on yelp actually and wish I would've Did that option. But the wait was probably about 45 minutes. They clean up tables pretty fast. As we were waiting, we had a table. Tell us to try the crunchy beef I think it's called. We had got that and that was absolutely my favorite. We also tried the walnut shrimp, shrimp fried rice, duck, and the soup dumplings. Every entrée is shareable and you get a good amount. The food was good. But I do think prices are highe for Chinese food . Definitely wasn't a fan of the soup dumplings here. But I'm not sure I'd come back.

Yelp
I've seen so many Instagram and TikTok recommendations for this place. We tried it out and the reviews and recommendations are legit! Service was A+ Food was A+ Ambience was perfect We enjoyed everything we ordered (pictured). We were so full we had to take the pan fried pork buns home for dessert.

Yelp
3.5. Customer service needs some work. Most of the food was tasty, but service was a bit lackluster. We ordered: Crispy beef: crowd pleaser. Indeed crispy. Definitely sweet & savory. Mama's chowmein: thicker noodles. Good mix of veggies. Some meat. Solid noodle choice. Beef rolls: I've had these before and it had less flavor (hoisin?) today. The beef was also very thin, less of it, and not nearly as freshly cooked as the last time. Cauliflower: cauliflower was cooked well. Sauce was very little but flavored the dish well. What I wasn't expecting was very, very thinly sliced Taiwanese sausage. I was expecting more like shredded pork/crispy pork as I've had at Rainbow Kitchen. Definitely much better at RK. Mapo tofu: we asked for less spicy and it was perfect. XLB: one of my favorite things is XLB (soup dumplings). I was so excited to try it here. Big miss. The dumplings were tiny, no soup, filling was crumbling as in not held together like a meatball, and the skins were dry on top. Worst thing: the filling had no flavor. Cons: quite a few of our dishes came with a small fork or tiny spoon instead of a serving spoon. It doesn't seem like much of a con, but when you start forking mapo tofu onto a plate and realize it'll take you 15 minutes just to get enough on there, it becomes hilarious...and then an annoyance once you realize almost EVERY dish has a tiny utensil. When we asked to change them out, our server said they were out. What?!? He said that they were all dirty and were being washed. Okaaaaay. Perhaps, work on timing of clean silverware when you have a full house of patrons? Also, we had to ask a few times for water and sliced ginger for our XLB. At first our server said they didn't have any...and then that the cooks were too busy to cut it. What?!? How do you serve XLB without ginger?!? Uuuugh. When I asked him that, he finally went in the back and got some ginger. On top of that we also had to ask for the tiny sauce holder for the vinegar, ginger, chili oil mix to dip the XLB into. Not sure I'll be back anytime soon, but hope that the service and timing of essentials like appropriate silverware improves.

Yelp
I'm surprised no one has told me about this place sooner. The food was excellent. The fresh shrimp spring rolls and hot & sour soup were a great start to our meal. Moved on to the mapo tofu, crispy duck, the combo fried rice and beef stew noodle soup. All wonderful, but the mapo tofu especially stands out. This is the first spicy one that I have had that the flavors worked well together. The Taiwan style beef stew noodle soup was a good addition to the meal, but if that's what your main craving is, there are better ones in the area. We also had steamed pork buns and pan fried pork buns-- neither are generally my thing, but I did enjoy the pan fried ones. Quick service with lots of staff around to help out

Yelp
Lots of on site parking, easy access from the Las Vegas strip and main roads. Greeted and seated as soon as I entered. Arrive early it fills up very fast. They do provide seating both inside and outside for customers waiting to be seated. There were several customers waiting for a table when I left. What impressed me the most was the attention to customers needs and comfort by ALL of the staff not just my waiter. Yea pot and water were kept filled. Large servings with great flavor. Large open kitchen, It was fun being able to watch the chefs cook/fix each order. Very relaxing decor. Clean bathrooms well stocked. This is a must when you are in Las Vegas. I'll definitely be back!!

Yelp
Arrived on Sunday just as they re-opened at 4:30 pm. There was a line already formed outside to go in. I really like that tea is immediately available as soon as we sit down, specially since it was really cold outside. I have been here many times before and it has been a delicious experience each time. My favorites are the Beef Noodle Soup, and the Pork Buns are a must try. Food comes out as soon as it is made and sometimes the food takes a minute to come out but it is delicious. Don't rush your experience and enjoy ambiance and the tea. Great for a small group of 5-7, they have a great round table to share plates.

Yelp
China Mama was very popular Friday when we went in after 1pm. I would recommend joining the Waitlist on Yelp. Service was good. When we asked for refilled on the complimentary hot tea we got the multiple times. We ordered around 5 times for our family but the highlight was the Crispy Beef. A must try if you have never been to China Mama. While the other items were good there were not great. I would go back for the Crispy Beef and a side of rice. 10/10.
google avatar

Derek T.

Yelp
Took me too long to finally try China Mama. The long wait makes sense now. I still rather not wait more than 30 minutes for this though. Anyway, this isn't just your run of the mill family style Chinese restaurant. You got some bombass food to be had here. The dry pepper chicken is definitely a must. It's full of flavor, it's crunchy, and it's spicy. The other noteworthy things to order are the panfried pork buns and big mouth. These are really good savory bread type dishes to add to your already huge order of food. I will say the jiajiang noodles was decent but you can probably order something else for your carbs alongside the white rice they provide. So all in all, this place is so good it's easy to overorder. But better to order too much and have a second dinner than to order too little and regret everything in life right?
google avatar

Yelp
Ah China Mama how you've changed since I've been here last. This place is so busy now! I was so happy and excited to see a waitlist by Yelp, to make the process easier for us to wait. The only real changes now are that the menus have been updated, and they've turned their outside area to a comfy waiting area for people who've put their names down to wait for their party to be called. The restaurant was clean like I remember, it smelled great and our server was friendly and quick. We knew what we wanted to try, so they took our order and food just started coming out. Everything is as great as I remember, the taste, quality, freshness was there! The flavor of our chow mein, pork chops, noodle soup, dumplings, everything was just top notch!! China Mama has gained a lot of popularity, and it is so much more busy than it was when we first visited them, but this is a must try! Bring a friend or two, all the food here is family style sharing. It's so worth the price, the wait and the experience!!

Yelp
Some nice traditional chinese food that definitely reminds me of home. Their wait was very long on the weekend, with us waiting around an hour so make sure to put yourself on the yelp waitlist so you aren't stuck wandering around like us. To have a nice comparison, I wanted to get foods that I always love to get, this being their green beans, salt and pepper pork, and their pan friend buns. All of these were all equally tasty, with our favorite being the green beans. My only qualm was that I felt it was not flavorful enough for me. The pork and the buns were definitely good but just was missing something for me. However, I can totally see why others may enjoy them. Next time, will want to try some of the other items that people really enjoyed so I can see what this place truly has to offer.

Yelp
I have always wanted to try this place and I'm so happy that I finally got the chance to go. They're pretty busy and are only open for a certain amount of time for lunch and dinner. So I would suggest to her there asap! I went during lunch time and it was PACKED. We didn't wait too long though which was nice :) The staff was friendly from the start. They seated us at a corner booth and handed us menus. We already had water and hot tea on the table waiting for us. I was so amazed. They have a variety of items on their menu, but of course we had to order the classics. We ordered their house fried rice, crispy beef (chefs kiss!!!!), steamy juicy pork buns, honey walnut shrimp, and this mushroom salad. Everything was so GOOD! If they pork buns arrive first, make sure you eat that right away before it gets cold. I will definitely be back for more!!!!

Yelp
Came here years ago and thought the food was overpriced and overhyped. So it took me over 3 years to return. Here the food was actually really good last week. We got the pork knuckle, pork buns, and a soup. We loved the food! The pork knuckle was rich and cooked well. Super delicious. On a random Thursday afternoon, we waited 30 minutes to get seated. Service seemed to be slow. But maybe that's because they have a big menu and cook the food to order. Okay. But what really annoyed me was they added a 4% additional charge for using a credit card, which no one bothered to tell us about. When I asked about it, the server had no idea what it was and sent the manager, who said that there's a posted sign by the cashier stand that gives notice about this charge. Except we didn't pay at the cashier stand, the server took our tab and ran it. Dining out prices is already super inflated. Then tax. Then tip. And now an additional 4% just for using a credit card? Which pretty much everyone does. It's super shady practice. Not sure when I'll be back but if I do go back, I'll pay cash.

Yelp
Went here on many local recommendations and it's officially my fave Chinese spot in Las Vegas. Wait can be long, but I made a reservation for 8 people and didn't wait at all. They seated us at one of the lazy susans which was perfect. If you have a larger party you may need to use multiple tables. Everything we got we LOVED so here is a list of our order: 1. Crispy beef - THE highlight 2. Stir fried green beans - rivals din tai fung 3. Mama special pork juicy buns - thicker dumpling if you're not used to that 4. Pan fried pork dumplings - beautiful crust and great flavor 5. Mapo tofu - flavored sooo well, great veggie option 4. Peking duck - DEEP FRIED. Enough said. 5. Mama special fried pork - sweeter side, not our fave but still yummy 8. Honey walnut shrimp - great sauce, big shrimp pieces 9. House special chow mein - maybe could have used more noodles We didn't get fried rice this time but we'd definitely want to try that next. I have also heard their fish is great, but we ran out of space on the table and our bellies lol. Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Nina C.

Yelp
Like many reviewers as stated, the crispy beef is worth a try! The shrimp wonton soup (not too salty) and the steamed pork buns/dumpling were also my favorites. I liked that each table was served hot tea. *I don't recall there being any alcohol options. I arrived an hour after opening on a Saturday and did have to wait an hour and a half before being seated.

Yelp
China Mama has been on my Vegas list for a long time, and we finally had the chance to come here during the holidays last year during our last family trip. I have to say that this is one of the best values for food in the entire city. At face value, it might seem like it's expensive, but their massive portions more than make up for it. Everything we had here was delicious and I can't wait for the next time we get to try other items. Pro tip: get here before it opens or you will be waiting for the tables to turn over and the wait just piles up. Hope they are the same (or better) when they come back from the fire. Food: 5 Service: 3 had to ask for water twice and forgot one of our dishes Ambiance: 4 standard Chinese restaurant vibes Overall: 4
google avatar

Yelp
Holy wowwwwwww. This place blew my mind! I have had this on my list for MONTHS! Also, let me tell you the wait time is no joke either, and yes it's that good and worth it! We ordered so much they moved us to a bigger table haha. And trust me when I say we probably ate 90% of the 20 dishes we ordered between 5 people. There wasn't one thing I didn't like. I will say the lamb was my favorite thing and those salted cucumbers hit the spot for sure! I did enjoy the tan noodles as well. I cannot wait to go back and I completely get the hype now.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! Literally mind blown on how delicious this place is! Watched the Tik toks and read the reviews on Yelp prior before deciding to head to this place in Chinatown and the reviews are definitely 100 percent accurate. Looks are deceiving from the outside. Plenty of parking and looks a little run down but once you enter it's got beautiful decor and open space. I loved the traditional complimentary tea served and went on to explore the menu. Decided with the famous mama pork fried buns first (takes about 30 min) next I went with the chicken fried rice and beef rolls. I could not stop indulging in these traditional flavors! Mouthwatering still on how brilliant mamas recipes are! So whether a local or passing through I highly recommend giving this place as a top spot eatery to try.

Yelp
Very traditional Chinese food service. Everything we had was delicious. For starters we had the Cucumber salad which was light and refreshing. Chopped Cucumber marinated in garlic and vinegar. We also had the Wood Ear Mushroom salad which was amazing! Large whole mushrooms also marinated and served chilled. I definitely recommend this dish. Next up we had Big Boy Roll and pork dumplings with a crispy skirt. Both of these were fantastic. The Big Boy Roll is best described as the insides of a pork dumpling folded into a toasted sesame tortilla looking bread. Both of these were amazing as well and on my recommend list. For our entrees we tried the Crispy Pork and Honey Walnut Shrimp. My favorite was the shrimp dish. My apologies for my descriptions as I am not well versed in Asian cuisine. I had a great dining experience and am disappointed I have not tried this place sooner. That is probably why it's so busy here on a Wednesday night.

Yelp
Brandon from Vegas' tik tok recommended this place not once but 2x times so I had to try it out. He says this is where "the locals eat." From the outside it looks like a hole-in-the-wall place. Inside it was really nice! One dude even brought his first date there (which I thought was a bit strange but whatever). Food quality was great. Everything was really fresh. We ordered: Green beans- 5/5 China Mama's Special Pan Fried Dumplings- 4/5 Crispy Beef- 4/5 I wish I had ordered rice because things were a bit salty without it. Overall Brandon did not steer us wrong. Next time I'm trying the Honey Walnut Prawns. Also don't forget to check in on Yelp to get $5 off!!!

Yelp
I was so hyped to try this place. Always drove by seeing a line outside. One day I decided to place a Togo order. Maybe that's where I made a mistake. I don't know. The food was good. Not life changing. Not the best Chinese food I had ever had. And certainly not the best I've had in the city. Don't get me wrong- it was good. But it left me disappointed. Was it that it was overhyped? Or was it that I made the mistake of taking it to go? All I can say is, there are other places to go where you don't have to wait an hour to get a table.

Yelp
Super authentic and delicious food. The jasmine tea that is served is also very fragrant. All portions are really great for sharing and the service is great. Remember to check in for $5 off your first order.

Yelp
Wow Mama came through with some great eats! We ordered to go at 11am (opening) and waited about 25 minutes for all our food to be ready. By the time we left, the place was pretty packed with diners. Here's what we ordered: - Crispy beef - must order. So crispy and juicy - Stir fried green bean - crispy and flavorful - Veg chow mein - Mamas special pancake with scallion - Wonton Szechwan pepper sauce - poured the sauce on everything - Steam pork bun - very good and worth the wait Everything was good but the stand out dishes were the pork buns, wontons, and crispy beef. Tips: Definitely expect a wait and order the pork buns!

Yelp
I was disappointed. But I'm not going to say it was bad. There were just holes in the process. Cold soup, extended delays (yes it was a holiday) but I'm also from NYC and have been desiring great Chinese food. My search still continues in Las Vegas. I was not personally happy with the beef. But I'll try it again.

Yelp
Really delicious restaurant but there is a wait. You have to sign in with the iPad upfront or there are a limited number of reservations. I think they could run the restaurant a little bit more efficiently, there always seems to be open tables or slow service but the food makes up for it! LOVED and will get every time - crispy beef - crispy beef buns - spicy wontons Worth it! - wood ear mushrooms - green beans - mapo tofu Would skip - pepper chicken (too much pepper to sift through and not much pepper flavor)

Yelp
I've heard about China mama over the last few years: This beacon of delicious Chinese cuisine. I couldn't wait to sink my teeth in. Let's start with what everyone starts with: the wait. I went Saturday prime time and waited approximately an hour. Luckily, they use Yelp for their waitlist, which makes signing up and waiting extremely easy. You're given an estimated time to return and your place in line. Simple. I explored the tiny shopping plaza while I waited. They also have benches if you don't feel like wandering around. I would say this isn't an issue! Now the main event: the food. I have to say, and I am surprised to say it, I was not a big fan of the food other than the pork potstickers. I was shocked. We went with the waiter certified popular choices including the crispy beef, beef noodle soup, and the potstickers. The crispy beef, which everyone raves about, was extremely sweet in my opinion. The texture was great, but I felt like I was eating a beef dessert. The beef noodle soup felt the same way. The beef was cooked extremely well and very soft, but I could not get over how sweet the dish was. The potstickers, however, were amazing. A delicious blend of meat and veggies with the tiniest amount of tang. I would come back just to have full plates of those. The wait staff was kind and attentive. The ambiance was loud, but fun. The tea was plentiful. While I didn't like the food as much as I hoped, I would still recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Located offspring Mountain in a freestanding building you will find China Mama. Don't let the surrounding area fool you of the high-quality gourmet Chinese food they have there. Definite must have's 1. Beef Roll 2. Crispy Beef 3. Special pan fried pork buns 4. Wontons in Szechuan pepper sauce 5. Pan Fried potstickers Service was absolutely amazing even though they were packed they were on point highly recommend you stop by and enjoy some of MAMA's special cooking, a lot of the items are made to order so if it is packed be prepared to wait but it is so worth it. ******China town at it finest******

Yelp
Was recommended to try this place out by my brother. It was nice because they took reservations, especially since I had a big group. We had to Uber there since it was located 15 mins off the strip. The restaurant was a good size, clean, and the staff were very attentive. We were seated right away and our order was taken promptly. Here is what we had: Beef Rolls: OMG! This is the most yummy thing I have tasted. For my family and I the best item there. Crispy on the outside, nice and tender beef on the inside with their spices makes mixed together makes a flavor bomb! So good! * Super Fave Honey Walnut Shrimp: evenly coated shrimp with a good amount of walnuts, did not disappoint Sesame chicken: top stars for this item, best sesame chicken I have had so far. Nice meaty pieces with a perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness. *Fave Szechwan tan tan noodles: nice al dente noodles in their special sauce...good spice to it. Will definitely order again *Fave Mapo Tofu: I love their version, although it had no meat, it was yummy. *Fave Crispy fried duck: I was excited to try this since I love duck. Unfortunately it was just ok. It was cooked well but just tasted very plain, actually my hubby doesn't eat duck but had this and said it tasted like chicken. Egg fried rice: my kids said this was really good, equal proportions of ingredients throughout Beef stew noodle soup: broth was very tasty, noodles cooked perfect and a good amount of meat Steamed juicy pork buns: amazing flavor of the soup inside, texture of the buns was perfect. Perfect amount of meat inside. *Fave Pan fried juicy pork buns: like the steamed ones but in its own world. The buns are soooo good especially the little fried parts. Super filling and delish! *Fave Sauteed Chinese lettuce: had really good flavoring and the veggies were cooked perfect They serve everything family style, so unless you eat a lot or have a big party, be careful of how much you order. I had a party of 10 full grown adults and this was still a little too much. I will definitely be going back to try other things and suggest you try it out too!

Yelp
OPENING* I always start off my review by saying that I've worked operations in the F&B industry, Nightlife and gaming industry for more than a couple decades in Las Vegas, San Diego, D.C, and have had the pleasure working next to some amazing local and celebrity chefs throughout that time. My goal is not to come down hard on local businesses, but offer some guidance to elevate the dining experience Let's get started!!! Atmosphere: Like you'd expect with any Chinese restaurant, quick, to the point and be ready to order. You'll be waiting at least 20-40 mins so know what you want since you'll be waiting long enough. We sat at the bar in District One, while we waited. Great cocktail program. Food: By far the best Chinese food I've had since visiting N.Y (Wo Hop) and San Fran Cucumber Garlic smash...was good, felt as though it could of used some spicy paste of sorts or rice wine vinegar. Otherwise still good Dry pepper chicken...was spicy enough but not toooo spicy, fantastic dish Crispy beef...this was like crack!! We couldn't stop eating this dish crispy to perfection Fried Pork Buns...The bell of the ball, these are hand made and take about 30-40 minutes to be served Don't sit there and Lollygag after you're done, let other people waiting 20-40 mins get to their table and experience this awesome Chinese restaurant. In conclusion...Great room, clean and efficient Jasmine tea was a nice touch

Yelp
If I could give 4.5 stars I would because while the food was good, the service was lacking. I will be back to try it again because there's more of the menu I want to try but this time the servers were dismissive, it took a while to get anyone's attention to order or get anything, and we had to ask for utensils (both personal and serving ones). Food wise, the soup dumplings were a bit underwhelming so I personally would not recommend them but everything else was great! The lamb with cumin and sweet and sour fish were the highlights out of what we ordered!

Yelp
China Mama is a fantastic restaurant that offers an incredible dining experience with authentic Chinese cuisine. The menu is diverse with a good range of dishes to choose from, all of which are prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic recipes. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. One of the best things about China Mama is the service. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu items, they offer great recommendations about the dishes. They truly offer a fantastic customer service experience. Another great thing about China Mama, for dinners and events. In addition, the parking lot in front of the restaurant offers plenty of space for cars, which is a plus, especially for those who are worried about parking. The atmosphere is pretty dark and cozy In terms of operational hours, China Mama is open Monday through Friday from 11am to 10pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 10pm. Overall, if you're looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant with great food, wonderful customer service, the wait is worth waiting for and ample parking space, then make sure to come to China Mama!

Yelp
This is a very busy Chinese place. I do not see why the wait was so long other than we are a group of 7. The wait was over 1 hour. We ordered and shared a few meals. The crispy beef is ok but I think it is mostly breading and no beef. The honey walnut shrimp was good. Ramen is good as well. They take reservations but it has to be a few days in advanced. We tried to reserve a table the day of our dinner and they were not taking reservations any longer.

Yelp
This restaurant was on my list from a Las Vegas foodie blogger that I follow and I am so pleased I went with her recommendation. It's located in a unassuming shopping plaza with not much around and not in the old Chinatown plaza. From the outside I would have never found this place on my own or decided to give it a try if I drove by but glad we did. We were originally looking for dim sum but found ourselves here even though they don't do dim sum. I wanted to try the mama's special pan fried buns but the waiter said they are made to order and take about 45 minutes! Kinda disappointing since we didn't want to wait that long. Decided to pass this time around but next time I'm gonna order these before I even sit down. We ordered the stir-fried green beans, crispy beef, mama's special chow mein, shrimp fried rice and the pork soup dumplings. Loved every dish and every bite. If there are soup dumplings on the menu I usually order these and wasn't disappointed, tasty soup inside, and dumpling wrapper wasn't too delicate that it remained intact during the transfer to my spoon. Definitely don't skip out on the crispy beef and this was my favorite, it's a little sweet, crispy and packed with flavor. As we waited for our food we were surprised on how busy the restaurant got. It's definitely a hidden gem that a lot of people know about.

Yelp
Located on spring Mountain area. Definitely be ready for long wait times, however they do accept reservations for large parties in advance. Everything is served family style and the portions are huge. Felt very authentic overall. I would say not as many vegetarian options as I am used at chines spots, but he meat eaters at the table were very happy. The tomato egg drop soup is like nothing I have ever had before and it did not disappoint. Very friendly staff. The food does take a long time to get but everything is gourmet so well worth the wait. Plenty of parking outside.

Yelp
The place is easy to find. It's in a busy parking lot so parking can be hit or miss. They do not take reservations and the "join the waitlist" feature did not work for me. However they had an iPad at the entrance and it was easy to check into. The wait was about 15 minutes. We were seated and hot tea was provided. We tried Mama's special pan fried pork buns, garlic and cucumber salad, and crispy beef. The beef was delicious. The pork buns were just okay. I've had better and I've had worse. The cucumber garlic salad was delicious but I still tasted garlic the next day. Soooo much garlic. The inside was clean and the service was prompt. I have no complaints but just wasn't amazing enough for a 5 star. I would come back and try more options for sure though!

Yelp
Came to China Mama's as a strong recommendations from our local family and they did not disappoint! Parking gets full so come a little early if you have reservations. We had comfortable seating for 9 at the family style table. We ordered walnut shrimp, Chinese broccoli, steamed buns, spicy dumplings, crispy beef, fried rice, and string beans..Everything was soooo good. I grew up eating asian food all my life and this was quality and their system is efficient! They're there to feed you and feed you well. Will definitely be a spot to visit every-time we visit vegas!

Yelp
Food 4/5 but service 2/5 so my review is 3/5. I made a reservation in advance for my boyfriend's birthday. There was a group of 8 of us and we showed up on time. We were sat within 5 minutes, so no wait there. However, it took 20 minutes or so to get someone to even take our order. Also, the servers weren't really attentive to us the whole time we were there. The food was good. Especially the honey walnut shrimp & mapo tofu. I would come back for those dishes. The pan fried buns looked cool, but there wasn't anything amazing about the taste. I also asked if there was a birthday dessert, and they said no pretty bluntly. I'd come back - maybe. But with a smaller group and on a slow day. The lack of good service definitely made me feel bad since it was a surprise birthday dinner.
