Google
Family owned, local restaurant with excellent food and service! The owners are the friendliest people you could ever meet, and do their best to accommodate your meal selection preferences.

Google
Ok, so let me say this first, the couple who own the place are the sweetest. I met them last night when I went in for the first time to order take out. They both talked to me and made me feel welcome and even helped me pick out food for my picky eaters (children). They were quick and efficient and had my order packed up/sealed and ready to go within 15 minutes. Unfortunately, I didn't look into my bag because they had it all sealed/stapled up. So, when I got home (which was across town on the north east side of fort wayne), I was missing a whole side of white rice. Now thats the best part of the meal to my kids. Lol. They LOVE their white rice. So because I couldn't just drive back there and tell them about my missed food item, I had to spilt the one side of rice between them two. Now onto the chicken. I thought I asked for grilled chicken and to make it spicy. I got breaded chicken that wasnt spicy. The Kung pao chicken was full of peanuts, veggies and LOTS of sauce, not much chicken at all! Both meals came with one side, one soup and one egg roll. Unfortunately, my kids just didn't like any of it except for the rice, which they had to share because again, one side was missing. Its not the owners fault that my kids didnt like the food and I probably won't be going back for the kiddos, but I will definitely try them for myself in the future.

Google
Tried this place again after a couple years, sadly still bland and basic. I picked up, so cannot comment on service or atmosphere. But all 6'ish tables were 55+. I guess that should've been my sign. Great if you like nursing home/hospital food.

Google
Great food, very nice people. This was an excellent treat. We had Sweet and Sour Chicken, Crispy Duck, Shrimp Toast and Crab Rangoon. All of it was very good.

As a 20 year student of Chinese language and culture and having dined at Chinese restaurants globally, I can confidently say China Palace in Fort Wayne is a hidden gem. I had the Hunan Beef lunch special today and it was truly outstanding. The flavors were authentic and perfectly balanced. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the prices were very reasonable. I left completely satisfied and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Google
We got takeout and the food tasted like dirt. The packaging was leaking. The best part of this meal was throwing it away. This stuff made my stomach hurt. Do better

Jerry M.

Yelp
The place is warm and welcoming. The staff remembers you. The sweet and sour soup is the best in town and the menu items are delicious Well worth a trip

Yelp
The food was amazing. It was so delicious, and very impressive. The staff was very friendly and made sure all your needs were taken care of. The place was clean and decorated very well.

Yelp
Consistently good Chinese food, great service and great ambiance. Best in Allen County for sure!
google avatar

Yelp
The best Chinese food in northern Indiana. The hot and sour soup is delicious. The crab ragoon doesn't have the sugar/sweetness that so many other Chinese restaurants put in theirs. The spicy mustard and sweet and sour sauce for it were the perfect topping to the ragoon! The green beans had a good kick to them without being too spicy. Almond chicken had actual fresh meat white chicken and didn't taste like chewy fake meat like so many others. They don't cook with MSG and everything tastes like authentic Chinese food. The service was quick and friendly and the owners are incredibly kind and friendly people. Large portions and great prices. I took home leftovers and had another meal! The only bad thing about it is that it's not closer to my house!

Tricia N.

Yelp
Food, proportions, and service was very good. They have daily specials during the week and we had the Hunan Chicken. The Hot and Sour soup and Egg soup were both very flavorful. Potstickers were made with thicker dough, not a fan. The rest was great.

Ashley R.

Yelp
Big portions, friendly and fast service at a decent price. The clerk and server are always polite and kind.

Yelp
This Chinese Restaurant was my mom's absolute favorite place to eat! When I would visit, we would order from here. We typically ate in, and the restaurant was hardly busy. Sometimes we would order out. Fast service. Good food. The restaurant itself could use some updating. Dark in the dining room.

Yelp
Great food at a reasonable price with good service. The specials are the best value. Our group of 8 were treated very well and enjoyed our time together.

Yelp
For some time I have been hungry for Chinese food. One weeknight i dropped into this restaurant and had a nice meal. China Palace is a stable part of the restaurant scene in Waynedale. Its a family business with a traditional chinese menu. My meal started with an egg drop soup made in a rich broth. I can not turn down crab rangoon but, as is the case most of the time, i couldnt find any meat. Nonetheless, it was well made and delicious. I had the traditional sweet and sour pork. This was a wonderfully generous portion of meat and vegetables in wonderful sweet and sour sauce. The ambiance is a relaxing ambience and i was not hurried at all to savor the food rather than rush out. I easily had enough for two more meals. I will definitely be back. The food is not cheap. It is well made.

Yelp
I've been hooked on Thai Kitchen's Lo Mein noodles for years. Tonight I found they went out of business. Stopped at China Palace e on my way home & tried their Pork Lo Mein. OMG! Best I ever had. I'll be back for sure

Yelp
Arguably, the best Chinese restaurant in FW... Great service, the food is always spectacular, and it's very reasonably priced (as compared to Wu's) - It's our go to Chinese restaurant.
google avatar

Tony V.

Yelp
China Palace has NEVER disappointed. They have the best Appetizers, Entrees and Desserts. The spicy dishes have just the right amount of spice. The Crab Rangoon is unmatched. Portions are ample without being wasteful. You simply MUST TRY IT YOURSELF! It's the best in the area.
google avatar

Pam E.

Yelp
The people working there were friendly and very helpful. The food was great. There was a good variety dishes to choose from.

Tom J.

Yelp
My first time for China Palace. The first taste of hot sour soup instantly brought me back to House of Hunan, (I miss that place a lot) All the food was quality, Hunan beef lunch special was delicious and just hot enough. The included egg roll was crunchy and full of flavor. I live in North FW and was resolved to only average Chinese food on this side of town. I will make the trip to Waynedale often now just for this wonderful place.

Vic B.

Yelp
Went there on Christmas Eve, they were very busy! Had to wait 30 mins to be seated, but they were SO efficient! Really being rushed, but doing such a great job. Food did not take very long and it was just as delicious as always. Was amazed at what a great job they did with being so crowded! Best Chinese food in area and absolutely the best staff!
google avatar

Valerie B.

Yelp
I ordered an early dinner from China Palace yesterday, and I was very pleased! I ordered Won Ton soup, egg rolls, Kung Pao Chicken, and everything was delicious! The soup had a delicate pork broth, green onions, and the dumplings were huge and packed with meat. The Kung Pao had just the right amount of heat and the veggies were crunchy and fresh. It was well prepared and fresh! The only small issue I had was with the egg rolls. They were undercooked. I was looking forward to hot, crispy egg rolls, so that was a bit disappointing, but I just fried them up, and they were excellent! All in all a good, solid meal, fresh and delicious. Recommended!

Camille H.

Yelp
Food was OK, not "over the top delicious..." they gave me incorrect food with carryout order...MAY return, but probably won't...

Yelp
We were in last night, and our family have been frequent customers to China Palace for over 20 years. We normally get the sesame chicken, or Mongolian beef, but last night I ventured out and tried the Creamy Shrimp, and man I'm glad I did! Fried Shrimp with pineapple in a thick white coconut sauce, served with white rice. It was amazing! Service was great as usual and the hot and sour soup is STILL the best in town! If you visit, try the Creamy Shrimp! You will not be disappointed!

Schiela R.

Yelp
Wonderful food Great service Very special family owned Love it and never disappointed

Yelp
Excellent food excellent service. Everything we ordered was made very well and tasted great. The family that runs the restaurant does so with love and enthusiasm. Ambiance is great as well. We got the chicken wings, egg rolls, hot and sour soup, veg fried rice, crispy shrimp, curry chicken. All were excellent we can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Three of us stopped for lunch, and we ate everything on our plates. The chicken chow mein had lots of flavor and lots of chicken and the shrimp with vegetables was just as good. And to our pleasant surprise- they also have domestic beers and wine. There's for dining rooms of various sizes and all with a choice of a table or booth. Our service could not have been better! They were polite, friendly and prompt- water glasses refilled, dishes served and empty dished removed immediately- our server even offered to take our picture!

Yelp
Took my Chinese mother to lunch here, first experience. I had Canton chicken & mom had shrimp with vegetables. Both came with choice of hot & sour or egg drop soup. We both had the hot & sour. While it was a tad sweeter than most, it had a nice peppery tartness. Also had the chicken wing appetizer. All was very good. And surprisingly my Chinese mother, who rarely approves of any Chinese but her own, like it as well. Efficient service, timely food & drinks stayed full. I thought the quality exceeded Han Dynasty slightly & Wu's by far. Factor in the price was substantially less & I will returning here in the future. Beer & wine only, FYI.

Dee K.

Yelp
I have nothing but good things to say about China Palace. The food is great. The service is excellent and prices are reasonable.

Yelp
I love China Palace! This is a staple for my coworkers and I over the lunch hour. You can find this gem off Bluffton road in Waynedale. The interior is quaint and simple. They have a variety of tables and booths and also offer a backroom for larger parties. The service is excellent. The staff and the owners (who are always there) greet you kindly and are genuinely happy to see you. They remember your face every time you return. They are prompt and take great care of you. The menu offers a variety of dishes, but is not overwhelming. Each of the plates is a good value for the portion you get. I typically start out with a hot tea before ordering. A few of my favorites from the menu include: egg drop soup, crab rangoons, mongolian beef and chicken fried rice. It is hard to go wrong! End the meal with a traditional fortune cookie. If you are looking for excellent service and food, stop here!

Yelp
Food was good but I was unhappy to order my way! as in a combination I like chicken fried rice with my dinner, cup of wonton soup and egg roll all included in my sesame chicken combo. Maybe things are done differently here. Food was definitely Delicious. And will return. Nice work in the kitchen.

Yelp
Service: EXCELLENT. Owners are super friendly and accessible. All the staff will remember you and your preferences. Ambience: Smallish, quiet, simple. Food: Good value. It's not mind blowing Chinese nor cutting edge. It taste good while not standing out from other similar restaurants. I usually order hot and sour soup and egg rolls. I've ordered entrees and my general feeling is that the sauces taste a bit too sweet. One dish I really enjoy is the chicken wing appetizer! The garlic and scallion garnish they are topped with makes them delish. And the hot tea blend here is so good. I will definitely return!

Yelp
I actually downloaded Yelp again just to write a review for China Palace. On the way back from a trip we had some car troubles, so we ended up coming in here to sit and wait to get a ride home. The servers were so kind and hospitable -- from making sure we were okay to prompt service. Our water glasses were constantly full! Besides great service, they also had great food! The pot stickers and my sweet & sour chicken were both very good!
google avatar

Yelp
No more China Palace. The meal was mostly broccoli. I'm tired of these places including 3/4 vegetable and only 1/4 meat.

Linda M.

Yelp
Best Chinese food in Fort Wayne.

Christy C.

Yelp
This is my go to place when I'm wanting Chinese food! The portion sizes are pretty big and I LOVE their Hot & Sour soup!

Andrew F.

Yelp
WOW. I have cooked in Michelin starred restaurant and let me tell you this place is worth the journey. I got the kung pao shrimp

Helen B.

Yelp
Good food, large portions, affordable prices for quality food food and great service.

James F.

Yelp
Always an annual stop for Christmas Eve (get reservations in advance). The portions are great and the taste is spectacular. I haven't found a place with better crab ragoon!
google avatar

Ernest B.

Yelp
I ordered from here because there were so many positive reviews. I was severely disappointed. General Tso's had way too much ginger and wasn't sweet or spicy enough. Ordered chinese vegetables schezwan style, extra spicy, and got a boat load of crunchy green beans in a not spicy sauce. Crab Rangoon tasted like sour cream and onion, no crab flavor at all. Fort Wayne residents must be used to sub-par Chinese food.
google avatar

Alyssa Y.

Yelp
Friendly service. They never failed to make sure our glasses were full and they didn't get offended when we asked them to repeat themselves. The food over all was good it was only our first time here and it all turned out to be pretty good. Not the worst

Marie H.

Yelp
We haven't been here in awhile. The food is still as yummy as always. Portion sizes are great ( had leftovers for tomorrow). Service is top notch . The waitress is the same one who has waited on us before. Very kind and so efficient. The owners checked on us also. The potstickers were very good. Plump and full of meat. Larger then any we have had at other restaurants. The Shrimp toast was also very good. Juicy on the inside and crunchy , crisp outside. Not too many Chinese restaurants serve Shrimp Toast anymore , so if you like it, order it here. Husband ordered Egg Foo Yung with chicken. The patties had a brown sauce over them and had 3 huge patties. ( he ordered 1 extra , so 2 with order) and came with rice choice , plain or fried. He got fried. He ate EVERY bite !! I don't know where he puts it !! Lol. He loved it. I ordered Hunan chicken with medium heat. Yeah don't forget to tell them that cause the heat will slowly melt your face off. Not Thai hot, but still very hot !! My food was soo good. Have leftovers for tomorrow. I also got the fried rice. Will certainly go back. Try them if you haven't and go back and enjoy again if it has been awhile like us.

Yelp
The best Chinese place in the Fort Pilgrim. Always loved china Palace up in Waynedale. Always! And to this day they still got the best damn Chinese food in town. Period the end, The pot stickers are to die for the egg rolls taste awesome, the best is the Crab Rangoon Ahh Mane! I like the beef and broccoli selections here, the shrimp is on point too and so is the chicken and sweet sauce. Good vegetable presentation and presence on the plate with the gooey sauce, meat, rice, and all of that good stuff. All of that substance and material and you think you are in China eating here, the smells mmm, and that hot tea and sugar cookie thingy put it through the roof for me. 5 Star don't think about it do it. Bring a date or picky broad, She will be like dang pretty good, that china palace.

Yelp
This restaurant was beyond disappointing!. DO NOT order the orange chicken as it is inauthentic. I received a dish covered in brown goopy-looking sauce, not orange sauce. When I questioned that it appeared to be a mistake, she insisted it was orange chicken and it was brown. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I tasted it. It was edible, but not good, and NOT orange chicken. More like a teriyaki brown sauce with less than a hint of any citrus background. The person I was with ordered Empress Chicken which was so inedible, as if made with vinegar and hot sauce, she took one bite and had them take it away. I was going to leave with an extra order of fried rice but got up and told her to cancel the order. We sat and finished our rice, tea, and the Crab Rangoon. When we left, they charged us for the inedible Empress Chicken. AND The manager said, "If we don't charge you, we lose money. Make no money." They also wanted to charge for the cancelled order of fried rice to go! (They said they had to throw it out because they made it. They eventually took off that charge. Who wants to have a takeout that they made 45 minutes before we even left, sitting on the counter?) Wonder what the cost of a lifetime customer who would've given you a second had you not made them pay for two dishes that you knew were poor? I see that there are some very good reviews. Did you just throw something together since we were your last customers of the evening? INFURIATING, as well as disappointing.

Yelp
This is the best Chinese restaurant in Fort Wayne. The hot & sour soup is very good. The egg rolls are also very good. The main dishes are all very good. The chicken wings are the best in town, by far. They are plain fried chicken wings big & plump, with no sauce needed. However I use the sweet & sour sauce on them, they add fried green onions on them, which gives them a great flavor & twist.

Spencer B.

Yelp
Gave me the wrong food and it was soggy. Hot n sour soup is like jello.... good customer service though

Molly M.

Yelp
Used to eat here all the time. I got spoiled rice in a to go order, when I opened the my husband could smell how bad it was without being close. You can't tell me the person boxing it couldn't smell it !!!! We was loyal customers and got treated like that, no thank you!!
google avatar

Marti H.

Yelp
This was a really good choice while on the road. We were seated right away and were offered complementary hot tea. Very welcoming. The menu was well executed and gave lots of info about our choices. We both ordered combo platters and the food was very tasty. Garlic shrimp and chicken with veg. Service was fast and friendly. Our only issue was that they didn't have low sodium soy sauce. Thanks for a delicious dinner.

Brant J.

Yelp
I ordered takeout and went to pick up my order and they were busy taking phone orders while she asked my name and she handed me a sack while swiping my charge card and still talking on the phone. I got home and opened my food and nothing is what I ordered. I called back and they said they called me after I left but there was no call on my phone. They said that I could come back and get what I ordered and they would only charge me $10. I said that it should be free since I paid for the wrong food but they said that I could keep it. I will no longer go here if they game the wrong order why should I pay?

Yelp
My family & extended family have been going here for well over 20 years. We love the staff and they know our family by name. They gave their condolences when our great grandmother passed away. Their food is by a long shot the best Chinese food I have ever had. Their potstickers, egg drop soup, hot & spicy soup, crab Rangoon, and fried rice are just some of my top favorites. We do a lot of birthday dinners here but I also love to get take out on my way home from work. I would give more stars if possible. Amazing place! Incredibly friendly staff and PHENOMENAL FOOD!
google avatar

Jamie T.

Yelp
My friend and I got stuck in Waynedale after the car broke down, and the staff here was so hospitable! The food is delicious, made in a timely manner, and affordable! Would definitely return in the future!
google avatar

Yelp
Your next fortune cookie will tell you that you should have gone to China Palace!! The food: plentiful, delicious, hot. But the price: wow! We have never, ever been disappointed! The family that runs this is very conscientious of their patrons and their waitstaff is quick and efficient. The hot and sour soup is excellent, the eggrolls could be consumed a dozen at a time, and whatever the special is will never disappoint! This is worth the drive out to the south side!
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
This place is SO good!! Quick service, plenty of seating and great food! No buffet, all menu items- delicious Hot and Sour soup, Sweet and Sour Chicken and anything else I've tried! You won't be disappointed!
