"Recently reopened for indoor dining, China Red’s shengjianbao are part of its dizzying dim sum menu, coming three buns to an order, each topped with a tiny crown of black sesame seeds. Order the sticky rice, the wonton-wrapped siu mai, and the translucent rice paper har gow filled with shrimp for a complete yum cha." - Patricia Kelly Yeo

Taste very good. One of the most well known Cantonese restaurants in San Gabriel Valley area. Came for Dim Sum at noon, pretty craws here, need to wait for 10-15 minutes. Occasionally come here several times during the past 3 years, taste stays the same.

Having lived in the area for several years now, this has become my first choice for dim sum primarily because of convenience. It has gotten much more popular now and is much busier than it used to be. Service isn't very good when it gets busy; servers running around all over the place but not much seems to get accomplished. It takes forever for a request to get answered. I don't like that they charge a "table fee" per person. What does that even mean? What does a table fee cover??? Anyway, the food is very clean, meaning that they do things like take the extra step to devein the shrimp. Because of that, my husband is a huge fan of their dim sum versus that of Monterey Park. Unfortunately for China Red, my family is still old skool, so they don't want to come here because of the lack of push carts. Their loss! The dim sum here tastes super fresh because it's made-to-order. The downside is that this place is really expensive. A decent meal for two people will run you close to $40 with tip.

This is an extremely popular lunch and dinner place. The luncheon selection is vast, and dim sum is excellent there. The shrimp dumpling was excellent as well as the soft rice wrapped with shrimps or roast pork. You can order a selection of stir-fried vegetables, and the roast pork buns are a very good... the place gets to be packed... Be prepared to wait.

The place is beautifully decorated to be seen as a high class dinning experience. The service is on point and nice. However, the food is also very important. But, it is just pricey, not in a good way. The quality definitely didn't match the price tag. One can get the same plate of food at a normal Chinese sea food restaurant with a okay price tag and have it taste much better. We were very disappointed on the taste of each dish. There really isn't much to write about it. It is just your standard fare. Won't be returning to this restaurant in the future.

Tastefully done interior, delicious dim sum and great service. Fantastic place but need to be there early to avoid the long wait. Update 12-16-17 Second visit, and this time was a total disappointment. Quality of food went downhill faster than rollercoaster, dim sum taste pasty, taste oily and flavorless. Something change , either the chef left or they stop caring. It is too bad.

Great dim sum restaurant in Arcadia area, close to me then driving to Monterey Park area for dim sum. Quality food, we got shu mai, Har Gao, chicken feet, noodles rolls. Waited only 30 minutes to get a table. Cool environment inside.

Nice clean place with plenty of parking spaces, staffs are okay, food are little salty and oily, and one out of three rice wrapped in lotus leaves didn’t taste fresh, but the manager didn’t charge for it.
