Google
Food was excellent specially kai chi drums of heaven, but this time had to wait 45 mins before food arrived, rest of the food Hakka chili chicken and Szechwan triple rice was not that great, will definitely revisit whenever feel like eating indo chinese.

Google
“glad to find indo-chinese food joint within reach...” being an Indian, I always look out for indo-Chinese food and heard about it the lot...glad I tried this y'day (03/09) and apart from food what I found fascinating is, its Price ;) in $5-6, you can have sumptuous appetizers... wallah. we tried 4-5 starters... pan-fried chicken chilli, steam dumplings, chicken lollypop, chicken 65, samosa and everything was good. they allow BYOB too. in the main course, we ordered triple schezwan rice (too spicy), china spice fried rice and Hakka noodles... quantity was as usual too much so we packed the rest. the server was one girl who is full of courtesy... and she was the one who was taking care of all the order from 4-5 tables and delivery too. only con is they don't have too much space but what I saw, people opt for 'to go' over there. bottom line- will go there again for sure :)

Google
This is meant to be chicken with black beans. I had Chinese food all over America and this is what they hand out and I did ask him to give me forks and a plate and they didn’t so food has to go in the bin because it is disgusting.

Hemant N

Google
Tried to find a genuine Hakka experience in New Jersey. Not impressed. Veggie Sweet corn soup was a disaster. Yellows as if they had added turmeric to it. Veggie Hakka noodles were more Singapore style. Not coming back

Antonio R.

Google
Let me put this the nicest way possible. If you’re a fan of Chicken and Broccoli, another option from here would be a best. Mushy, amateurish rice along with the a sad Chicken Broccoli.

The food was cooked perfectly! It's the same delicious food, and good service, but new and improved. My wife and I really liked our food. We're glad they are back!

Google
Chef probably changed. Food isnt even indo chinese anymore. Least they could do is inform customers. I ordered a Veg hakka noodle combo with chili paneer dry and ended up tossing it out. So disappointed. Never eating here again

Wanjira M.

Google
If I could give a zero I would. The worst customer service ever. I’ve regularly ordered from this place, but today is the last. I didn’t get my order and called and they said the driver stole the food and they can’t do anything about it. Well I ordered $70 worth of food, so you should remake it and Sort it out with Uber. I work in the food industry, so know you can resolve. Super disappointed. Maybe replace the lady who picks up the phone.

Yelp
The food is always delicious here. Can be on the oily side but so flavorful. Not really a sit down restaurant anymore but still happy to do takeout.

Yelp
Wife and I had friends over and they picked up dinner at China Spice. The last time I ate there was when they were still located at their old address which was a number of years ago. It's difficult to identify which meal matches what order so I will not say the name of each item. At first sight, the food did not look pleasant as they are swimming in oil and/or sauce.. so much that it was spilling out of the lids. It is also interesting that we had to guess which meal belongs to whom since the appearance did not match the menu discriptions. Each meal also came with a very small container of rice so we had to cooked more rice at home to finish the meal. However, things got better after we finally digged into the meal. The food were quite tasteful and had a unique flavor that is obviously from a blend of spices from various cultures. Is it good enough for us to go out of our way to eat there again? No But it is good enough that we will eat there again if by chance.

Yelp
More like Indian Spice!! There was nothing "Thai" related. Its a bunch of Indian flavors tossed together with Basami Rice and called "Thai Rice" its a horrible example of Thai. I would be offended by this if I was actually Siamese (Thai) This was a Joke... Order from T Thai for an authentic meal

Yelp
Good indo chinese food. The food comes in hot and fresh.Only ordered in from here.Never been to the place. The prices are very reasonable. We love the vegetable manchurian and chilli chiken from here.

Yelp
Without a doubt the worst take out food ever. What is this? Ordered two different meals. Both tasted the same, ie terrible. Straight in the trash can.

Yelp
If you're on a budget, this is the spot you want to visit. I ordered three dishes: paneer tikka masala, naan, and paneer chili dry (spicy) -- the jeera rice is complimentary. The entire bill was only $15 and shared between two hungry people. Food was finger-lickin' good. The naan is made to order in the tandoor, which means it's super fresh. The paneer tikka masala gravy was really thick and creamy, perfectly spiced and had big cubes of paneer. The quantity was abundant. The only downfall is that eating in the restaurant is a little problematic since it's mainly a takeout restaurant.

S L.

Yelp
I've gotten takeout from here several times. I think they are operating under different names for delivery, so didn't realize this was the place until I picked up. But generally love the flavors and freshness. I can be pretty critical but I have to say that I really like the food here. Solid spice, love the Indo-Chinese items. Will continue to order.

Yelp
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They offer stale food then yell at you. The owner called us all dumbass and people without brains. We have a recording of the conversation that has been sent to state officials. People fell sick after eating this food. All 15 of us have provided the same review. Take care of your health guys and stay safe.

Yelp
Y'all are wilin'. Delivery was prompt, the food was excellent (GET THE SZHWERN POTATO WEDGES), spring rolls were delicious and cut in half (thank you!). This place is great! If you want chicken wings, go to KFC.

Yelp
If I was able to give this place 0 stars I would. We ordered food today 2 and a half hours ago and the restaurant has stopped answering calls since the past hour and a half. It just goes to voicemail. When I last spoke to them they said the guy was on his way and the food should arrive in 15 mins. It's been 90 mins and no sign of the food or the restaurant. I don't know if we'll get dinner tonight. This is the second time this has happened with this place. Never ordering from them again.
google avatar

Ronak P.

Yelp
Authentic taste. I tried Manchuriyan and China spicy rice and both were delicious. They quantify is super filling. I had enough for next day. The one thing I would like to being to management is they charge 4% for bill claiming bank is charging on us, I would request not to do as I never heard of it. Most of the shopkeepers do have same but they don't take from customers.

Yelp
I placed an ordering through eat-street Though the webpage says no delivery fee they call their customers afterwards asking for a $10 fee. I personally felt $10 was excessive and asked them that i would prefer cancelling the ordering, unfortunately the rudeness and unprofessionalism spoilt my impression of an establishment i previously used to like.

Maddy G.

Yelp
We ordered 4 items and ended up receiving only 3, i called them and they did not even agree to give me a refund or even replace the item, the guy on the phone was rude, worst customer service ever. Both my appetizers literally tasted the same. Completely disappointed! I guess i am going to bed starving!

Yadiel R.

Yelp
I wish I could give negative stars on here.....The guy inside messed up my order ando sat in there for 20 minutes and when I called back they told me they were closing and I should try to call them tomorrow so I did.... they didn't want to replace the meal missing or refund me or do anything to help me....and on top of that the food wasn't good either it's not Chinese food it's Indian food

Luis M.

Yelp
If I could give negative stars I would. This place is not even chinese as advertised it is Indian food. We ordered 3 plates and none of the plates came back with what we ordered. The food was extra spicy and cold when we got it. The staff was highly rude and denied us any sort of refund. Don't waste your money here it is a scam and it is $15 for nasty food.

Yelp
We have ordered from China Spice before and didn't have any issues in the past but we decided to order after a really long time and the quality DEFINITELY went down. Last night, we ordered the triple szechwan, kai chi, fried rice, and sweet corn + manchow soup. After arriving almost 2 hours late, we noticed the kai chi was completely stale. It almost felt like they left it over night and microwaved it to give it to us. The szechwan tasted like it was stale as well. The only thing that was edible was the soup. As much as we used to love this restaurant, I think it is safe to say that we are never ordering from here again. My entire family got sick and had terrible stomach aches. I was extremely nauseous this morning! Never again.

Rina T.

Yelp
Bro..... don't order from here ESPECIALLY if you get it from Door Dash. For some odd reason this place is masked as "Thai Thai Thai". I called the number and they picked up as a different name. Nothing Thai about it, We ordered 2 pad sa ew, and the green curry and ended up getting 3 pad tai. Also want to mention that the green curry tasted like General Tso's chicken drenched in coconut milk with green food coloring in it. Don't come here.

Phil m.

Yelp
This place an ideal place to get sick as the food is absolutely most terrible if you believe in eating food for humans. literally the noodles were soaked in red color garlic oil and the rest was a disaster . if u fed a homeless or a dog it will refuse. Watch your health in these times and eat wisely or fasting is a better healthy option. OMG a disaster .

Emu E.

Yelp
Ok y'all!!!! This place makes the BEST Indian food in entire JC, don't be fooled by location. Place is outstanding with tastiest food around! I can go on and on....but above is ample to and yes the staff is amazing as well.
google avatar

Dori G.

Yelp
Food is fantastic but delivery is never less than 90 minutes and sometimes is upwards of 2 hours - even when you order in advance so the order is there when they open.

Tammy Z.

Yelp
Terrible with answering phone calls. My first time ordering, I got a duck meal in BBQ sauce which was devoured by BBQ, the sauce took over everything and I basically just paid for a container of BBQ sauce, as there was barely any duck to even out the sauce. Completely unsatisfied and tremendously hesitant to ever order from here again.

Yelp
Pretty solid Chinese fusion food. I liked that despite the lack of Thai options in the area, this place offered Thai staples like pad Thai and Thai curry. I also liked that they offered interesting dishes besides the ones you typically see on a Chinese food menu. For example, I had the China Spice special rice and noodles dish because I couldn't decide and it seemed like the best combo option. HOWEVER. We ordered at 7:15 and did not receive our order until 9:00. I try to be patient and understanding. So after an hour, I called and asked where our order was. I was put on hold for a bit and was then told that the driver is on his way and to expect him in 5-10 minutes. Well, 5-10 turned into 35 and I called again. This time, being put on hold once more, being told the generic 5-10 minute schpiel, and put on hold again. I waited and waited and then a different person answered to take my order!!! What the!? My patience had run out. After being assured my order was really on its way, I hung up and the driver showed up in ten. The food was pretty good. I'd say average. The portions were large, certainly enough for the next day's lunch. The order came with 2 small sauces, one hot and one vinegar based, filled halfway to the top of the small containers. To accommodate the amount of food we got, we would've needed at least 4, but we didn't even get sauces per dish!! Not only that, but we didn't get fortune cookies!!! What gives? Now I don't know how my week is going to turn out. Might try again either if I dine in or if I order my lunch at breakfast time.

Yelp
The worst food experience ever. Not only do I prefer not to give a single star, but I would prefer to take away a couple. It was that bad. Food: We had ordered Gobi Manchurian and Chili Garlic noodles. The noodles were OK. Not worth $11. Tho Gobi manchurian tasted awful. If you have ever had the bad luck of eating something cooked from oil used more than once, you will know what I am talking about. Not only that, but the Gobi Manchurian tasted as if it was prepared a few days back, and it was again reheated or re-fried using some old oil. I had to throw away the food. Wasted $35. Delivery: They are biting more than they can chew. We ordered online, and it showed us that the estimated time was 30-45 mins. When we did not get the food for about an hour, we called in to check. The person who answered the phone told us that the food is out on its way and should reach us in about 15 minutes. We live just a couple of blocks from the place. It would take us 15 minutes, if we had to walk to the place. Anyways, I believe in cutting people some slack. So, we did not mind at that time. After 30 minutes of waiting, we called again. This time, the lady was so rude, she just answered the phone and put it on the side, while taking order from about two customers, and I had to hang up. Then I called back again, to see if at all I was going to get my dinner. I was almost certain that I would be eating the noodles for breakfast. Thats how clumsy their service and response was. I got my food about 2 hours late. Attitude: No courtesy, very rude. During all our calls, the lady will verify the address, ask someone if the food is on its way and tell me that the driver has already left. If you cannot deliver, or are under-staffed or whatever problem you have. It is a mere courtesy to call and say that you are going to be late.

Yelp
I ordered via ubereats today. Schezwan chicken and bhel. Bhel was soggy and just had the taste of vinegar. Schezwan chicken was not good either. Would never try again.
google avatar

Rahul S.

Yelp
I ordered a food for delivery today. They generally take like 90 mins to deliver which is anyways longer than any other restaurant in jersey city. However what irked me today was the attitude of the delivery guy. He came with the food to my apartment building and asked me come downstairs to pick it up. I merely said that most restaurants deliver to the door and it would be great if he could do so (as i was on a office call). He got upset. He came in a huff , i thanked him and all he did was give a nasty angry stare and left. THIS PLACE HAS ZERO WORK ETHICS AND MOST UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. This is the image atleast his delivery person left.

Yelp
I first tasted "Indianized Chinese" food a few years ago during a trip to India and was very intrigued by the unique mix of spice and flavor. I feel China Spice is the only restaurant in this area that does justice to that real cuisine. The "drums of heaven" are really delicious, although you have to eat them before they cold for best taste. The chilli chicken is delicious and their hakka noodles are better than Nanking. I have only ordered online and never been to the restaurant. Their delivery usually takes about 90 minutes.

Sam N.

Yelp
The restaurant setup is very unhygienic and have reported to Nj Department of health. Quality of food has deteriorated over a period of time. The are charging top prices for sub-standard food. Ordered Man Chow Soup, Cauliflower Manchurian Appetizer, and Triple Schezwan. Food was delivered after 2 hours. Except for the Manchurian, everything was big miss and substandard. Soup was watered down with no vegetables. Looked like they just added soy sauce to water. Triple Schezwan rice and noodles had a bad smell and tasted stale.
google avatar

Zakir B.

Yelp
Ordered chilli garlic noodles but they gave me Hakka noodles instead and said that's the chilli noodles but it wasn't. Hakka noodles was ok nothing special. Also take cash if not they will scam you and charge you .75 for credit card typical desi restaurant. Won't be going back here.

Vinit P.

Yelp
Order the food at 7:15pm for delivery arrived at door step at 9:15 pm the manager zack wan an arrogant asshole didn't want to give a discount horrible service
google avatar

Chiphe H.

Yelp
I'm not sure how these guys got 3 stars food was excellent. I had the Manchurian chicken shrimp dumplings and spring rolls. Might be my go to spot now for indochinese

Brady C.

Yelp
They were not able to give me my pickup in the timeframe of which they had projected because they had been backed up with other orders.

Rucha P.

Yelp
Loved this place - great Indochinese. Went to go pick it up after an hour of order being placed. Had to wait 20 mins in the restaurant before my order was complete. While I was waiting, a mouse ran across the floor of the restaurant a few feet from me. The woman at the front desk noticed and said something about the mouse and the guy packing the food looked at me and said "no that wasn't a mouse".....there was definitely a mouse. Unfortunately will no longer order from this place.

Saima C.

Yelp
Highly recommended! Excellent food and service. My food came out super spicy and they made it all over again with less spices. Guys in their were super sweet and accommodating. Respected our preference and went above and beyond to make it according to our liking.
google avatar

Bhavya S.

Yelp
I always order for delivery from here so my review is strictly about the food. I find this place the best Indo-chinese option in town. I am a regular client and have never ever been disappointed by the food.

Matt K.

Yelp
This was 100% not Chinese food. Not surE how yelp allowed this to be classified as Chinese food. Not what I was craving or expecting. WilL not be ordering again.
google avatar

Amit S.

Yelp
The food was really good. This is one of the few places in US i would say where you can really find real indian chinese food. The service was good as well. They were super busy with take outs and we were among the few people dinning in but they made sure we were served well. So anyone who has the taste buds for indian chinese would definitely suggest to give it a try..

G. S.

Yelp
Food was really good but the person who took the order on phone was very rude. Even when I went to pickup person was very rude to everyone in the lobby waiting for food pickup. I want to give them 4 star but unfortunately restaurant is a service industry and can't believe how rude the person was to everyone
google avatar

Atiqa G.

Yelp
I tried the chicken lollipop and chicken 65 it was great. I'm a big fan of indo-chinese food and there food is good also great savings!
google avatar

Kajori B.

Yelp
This place has been pretty consistent since it was on India square. Its the only Good Indian Chinese around the journal square area. Have ordered home delivery few times and the quantity they pack is good.

Akash V.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible....!!! Just ordered food from this place as some of my friends recommended it to me. The food was terrible to say the least. I ordered the chilli garlic noodles, pineapple fried rice and the drums of heaven. The noodles and fried rice didn't have any seasoning.....!! The drums of heaven were directly out of hell. Dry, chewy and burnt. A piece of leather would have tasted better. My trash can had most of the meal instead of me..... Please avoid this place!

Pooja P.

Yelp
The best food i have had in jersey city. I am a huge fan of Indo Chinese and it is very rare to find a good place like this. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is craving for some indo chinese food.

Yelp
This place used to be located at the corner of newark and tonnelle in a very nice location. I'm not sure what happened because they moved up the street and uhhhh - we had the worst experience. We decided to eat in which was a huge mistake. Their silverware was all dirty - and we pointed it out and they brought us new silverware and it was still dirty. The new location is just bad...no wonder there were no other customers eating in. My husband ordered chicken with garlic sauce and only took a few bites because it wasn't appetizing. I got a tofu dish that was OK...but we couldn't get over the filthy restaurant. We ordered a coke and it had a piece of hair on it. The waitress quickly realized and swapped it out for another one. I felt the need to take a shower after leaving this place. Takeout - maybe. Eating in - Never.

Vidhi S.

Yelp
They have the best kaju khoya in the whole world. Ask them to make it spicy if you love indian spices. Also, make sure to try there dry manchurian as your appetizer! There is not much of a dine-in space. We always prefer delivery or pickup.

Manasi A.

Yelp
Extremely unprofessional. We ordered food and it was supposed to get delivered in an hour. 2 hours & 3 phone calls later, we decided to eat a banana and go to bed instead.

Simranjit S.

Yelp
The food quality here is pathetic, I ordered Manchurian along with other items and everything was stale, not properly cooked and too much oily. Manchurian specifically tasted sour and hard, The items were soo bad that I have throw away most of the items. I have never tasted such bad food, my suggestion to everyone don't order anything from this restaurant. The frozen food would have tasted 10 times better than from this restaurant.

Yelp
Authentic Indian style Chinese food.. Loved their Kaichi Chicken, Hakka noodles and chilli chicken.. Courteous staff.

Yelp

Yelp
On our stay at the Ramada Inn from Atlanta, GA ,we wanted something good and fresh to eat. Our first thought was something like Chinese food of some sort. Looked on our app called "Yelp" and found a place called China Spice. Never been there before but was hungry. It was just down the street about 100 yards or so and we placed our order. It's not too many places you can find good food but China Spice served us with some fresh ,good cooked food. If you have a taste for some good Chinese food China Spice is the place to eat.
