"There’s a little bit of everything from everywhere on the menu of this comfy longtime fixture in Centennial, so order accordingly: delicate steamed buns, spicy beef tendon, fried shrimp with scrambled egg, roast duck, twice-cooked pork belly, cumin lamb, boiled frog . . . why not give it all a try? First-timers might start with the deep-fried five-spice tofu and the Ants Climbing a Tree, a homey concoction of ground pork and glass noodles." - Ruth Tobias, Eater Staff

Ordered delivery and it was an hour late, cold and they completely dodge any phone calls to ask where the order is at. I used to like it when the former owners were there. At least they could speak English to answer any questions. If you want breading with a little bit of chicken go here. Better off at Panda Express, for real!

I’ve been ordering food from here for a very long time (decades) and it’s always amazing, THIS NEW CHEF IS JUST AS AMAZING, As the old! Best Sesame Beef ever. It’s more red in color now and sort of brings Char Siu and Sesame Beef together in a perfect Harmony. Highly Recommended

Google
Family-run Chinese restaurant with decent Chinese food that opens pretty late! Service was very fast and the dishes were a good size for the price. They also provided us with complimentary deep-fried sesame balls filled with red bean! They were delicious.

Google
We ordered Pekin duck, pan fried dumplings, beef noodle soup and braised pork belly with pickled vegetables. It was Chinese New year day and the waitresses we're very nice. The food came fast and everything was tasty. No complaints, just perfectly good food.

Thanksgiving dinner at China Taipei in Centennial. Although the restaurant was here more than 20 years, but has recently been re-discovered by many old and new patrons alike after the ownership changed hands about 2 years ago and the menu was revamped. Here are their Nanjing Salty Duck, Maoxuewang, Sizzling Beef Tendon, Beef Chow Fun, Braised Pork Rice, Sizzling Eels, a few of favorite from their many tasty plates. Needless to say, was delightedly surprised and satisfied.

Google
The most basic Chinese food I’ve had in 30 yrs. The presentation was nice and I had hopes it would taste good but the rice, the chicken, and the vegetables were all soooo bland. The honey chicken was chewy and soaked with grease and/or undercooked…I couldn’t completely tell. Even the fortune cookie had no taste… Waitress was nice enough and said she wouldn’t charge me but I still offered to pay half plus a tip. but the inside of this place hasn’t been updated since the 80’s. I’ll never come back. Gross.

I placed an order for delivery. I was told that it would be 40 minutes. At 1.5 hours I was calling to cancel order, at that point the driver arrived. I ordered a bottle of plum wine, it did not arrive, when I questioned the manager, who I was on the line with, told me they only sold it by the glass. They substituted crab wontons, which I don't eat, without notifying me. The sauce for the duck was as thick as jelly. When I called back the next day to speak to the owner, the so-called manager said the owner was busy and could not come to the phone. All I got from the manager was apologies and excuses, no offer of a refund on the crab wontons, which I did not order. The owner and manager obviously does not care about customer service. No call back from the owner. I have been ordering from here for over 20 years, but no more.

Nice Peking Duck, was a good experience and tasty, authentic Chinese cuisine. 好好吃.

Yelp
We usually get takeout from here. The food is good, well seasoned, and appropriately sauced. A couple of times the staff forget items in our order, but they always correct their error and throw in an extra for the inconvenience. The decor, tables and chairs could use a makeover, but the restaurant and the bathrooms are always clean.

Yelp
Ambiance was somewhat casual with friendly and attentive servers. This isn't an Americanized Chinese restaurant so I would adjust expectations accordingly. They have a more conventional or Americanized menu, and a more Taiwanese style menu. We ordered off the latter menu and it did not disappoint. We were able to try all of our favorites and brought plenty home to enjoy afterwards. Great for solo or group dining with friends or family. We definitely plan on coming back!

Yelp
Taipei is the capital city of Republic of China. Without going into politics this island nation is located off of the SE coast of mainland China. Being on a island, there's plenty of fish to eat so it has a wide selection of seafood here. However Colorado is on land so quality is not good no fault to the restaurant. I hear recently the owner retired and it's under new management. The menu is professionally redone adding more authentic dishes than before. The menu option here is great for large groups. But they didn't have many circular dinning tables, either way I would order some ding like this for next time: App: beef sliced with Sichuan Golden steamed buns (sweet) Peking duck (w/wrap and onions) Sour shredded potatoes Braised Eggplant (option w/pork) Sautéed Chinese vegetables Double cooked pork belly Eel or Frog on a iron plate Spicy beef tendon or Lamb with cumin Taipei style noodle (beef) Spicy Chicken (w/bone) 辣子鸡 was not on point due to the large size of breast meat and the breading was not crispy. On the back side of the menu is the AOC American orange chicken, it is available and that's what my half breed (ABC/A) brother ordered. Something was missing for the 5th star because most of the dishes appeared appetizing but nothing jumped out for my snob palate. The service was friendly so I will try again soon!

Yelp
Authentic in both taste and style. Ran by a couple super nice and down to earth aunties up front, I was immediately greeted and sat. After a long day in the mountains the only thing I could think of was beef noodle soup aka 牛肉麵. I didn't have to ask if they made it spicy or any needed ingredients especially the kind of beef they use, etc etc. The dish came out almost instantaneous. The right temperature, the right texture and most importantly the right taste. I was very hungry at the time but you'd be surprised how quick a bowl of soup can be ruined and this was the complete opposite. I finished my meal and one of the aunties asked if I wanted more food. We both laughed and I went on my way. Highly recommended and wish the owners all the best! Of course I'll be back! Till next time!

Yelp
Service HORRIBLE !!!! Food cold and served 1 item at a time 1 per guest. Waited for 45 minutes for an order of lo mein that was an entree for 1 guest finally received after rest of the party was finished eating..... Entire staff were idiots. DONT GO....

Yelp
Great price point for family dinner at a Chinese restaurant. Our family loves trying out Chinese food as my aunt and uncle are from china and miss eating this food and China Taipei did a great job especially for the price point. Service was quick and friendly. As you would expect from a family Chinese restaurant there was an extensive menu with many options to try. We got vegetables, beef soup, ground beef and rice, duck with sauce and wrappers, and noodles among many dishes. My family ordered in Mandarin so I apologize for any missed dish names! My favorite dishes were the duck that you add sauce and green onions into a thin wrapper and eat like a taco and the ground beef with rice. Now I wouldn't say that every dish was amazing, the mixed vegetables were pretty salty and the beef soup wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped, but for the price point and the amount of food we got, well worth the trip and would go back for another family dinner!

Sarah H.

Yelp
A great little restaurant tucked away in the center of the shopping center. Obviously family owned and operated with an extensive menu of both Westernized and Tradition Chinese dishes. I really enjoy their take on dandan noodles and the smoky bacon and leeks dish is (salty but) delicious.

Sherry S.

Yelp
We tried this place before and it seems the menu has been changed. We ordered some Chinese foods and it seems better than before.

Yelp
April 7, 2023....always a great place for lunch with friends over the years and take out. Was always greeted by a nice gentleman at the front and felt welcomed always even when I arrived for a pick up. That is not happening any longer. My friend and I were seated at a booth and had the most unfriendly woman server..Rude, staring at us..rushing us to order, asked if I had finished my soup twice and had to give it up finally. Never asked which rice we would like, white or brown. She gave us fried. We asked for tea for two. She brought one cup. I wanted take out of steamed veggies only...no rice, no sauce. What did I get...rice, egg roll, and sauce!! We asked for separate checks as I was taking a meal home. She did not do this, but gave us one and just wrote on the back what our charges were. NEVER have been treated like this. The food was good. BUT this was a huge turn off and we won't be returning. I now understand that ownership has changed. Unfortunate.....this server needs to be fired. Oh and had to ask for the fortune cookies. What if we wanted dessert??? I guess that was why the restaurant was empty at Noon today. Oh well...we will find another place to go and catch up and not feel rushed.

Yelp
We have been doing pickup here for years but after this experience we wont be back. We placed a scheduled order for 5:30pm around 2:00pm. At 5:40 I called and they said the delivery driver forgot the order. Then said it would be ready in 10-15 minutes leading me to believe it hadn't even been cooked. I decided to go to the restaurant because we dont live far away. The staff offered no explanation other than the delivery time was at dinner time and they get a lot of orders. I asked for the $5 tip for the driver to be returned since I was now the driver. This was originally challenged but after reviewing the receipt they gave the tip back. There was no other compensation provided to include comping part of the meal as an apology. Unfortunately this is the second time they have dropped the ball badly on a scheduled order. If you cant provide this type of service please don't offer it on the ordering website. I wish we could continue to support this family business but the service and lack of service recover is so bad we wont be back again. As an aside, the food inst bad, better than some other places we've tried. Disappointed.....

Chris O.

Yelp
Wonderful food! Our favorite. Their wontons are the best I've ever had. Service is exceptional. Best Chinese food.

Naomi T.

Yelp
We're at China Taipei and have been here for almost an hour! My husbands lunch came, but I'm still waiting! There's new staff, no owner around and nobody knows what they're doing!

Terri W.

Yelp
Well they have redeemed themselves from last time I posted . I have to say they have the best crab cheese wontons, I really like their potstickers, and there's so many on trees that I do like so I can't list them all .

Kathryn C.

Yelp
Absolutely top tier service. many different items on the menu and everything was so tasty (we ordered like 10 different dishes). Favorites were the ants climbing a tree, frog on a hot plate, and the sesame chicken. We loved the calm energy from the staff. We had a big group and they were so sweet.

Tammy N.

Yelp
My favorite Chinese restaurant in the southern burbs. The restaurant looks kind of dated, but is always clean. Service is very attentive. Drinks are never empty. Portions are very generous especially at lunch. You get soup, an egg roll, your entree, fried rice and fortune cookies. I've been going there for years. They offer delivery as well, which has always been good as well. Highly recommend.

Julie T.

Yelp
I don't know what happened! I've been going to this place for 10 years and drive 30 minutes to get there, they used to have the best gluten free fried rice and had great flavor in all there meals. I ordered 2 large egg drop soups and struggled finding egg and it was flavorless. They charged me extra for gluten free soy sauce but didn't put any on my food. They also didn't label which entree was gluten free, the only reason I knew was because the lack of soy sauce. When you have an allergy and find a place who can make great food I have no problem paying extra. When feeding 7 people though you need to know which is gluten free. I'm hoping they had a off night but a 30 minute drive for takeout and have it not correct and flavorless when you get home makes you very disappointed.

James H.

Yelp
Been a regular for a long time. Wonderful relaxing atmosphere. Tables are spaced, restaurant is clean. Good value for delicious, cooked per order food. Especially the lunch special w/ soup & egg-roll included. Dinner is a bit pricy but portions are bigger than the lunch. Staff is friendly & welcoming.

Todd H.

Yelp
Favorote lunch place. Delicious authentic Chinese food! You can also get American type Chinese food too.

Liam W.

Yelp
great food great service! Brought 12 people and the service was awesome, super nice staff. highly recommen!!

Yelp
Sad that it's not good as it used to be and charged us for a dish they never brought out. I used to really like this place, but the quality has steadily dropped over the years. We came here on a Thursday night and it was decently busy. There are actually two menus one with all your Chinese-American classics like sesame chicken and another Chinese menu with classic Taiwanese dishes. On this visit, we got spicy braised beef appetizer, fried tofu, and the fried chitterlings ( not for everyone). The tofu was never brought out to us and the beef had been reheated by microwave and burned. It was just really kind of sloppily cut as well. The flavor wasn't bad, but I just really can't buy into microwave-burned meat. We ordered the Taiwanese beef noodles which were nothing special. Kinda one- note and the noodles were your standard dried Shandong La Mian noodles. The broth was especially dark. For the mains we ordered the salt and pepper calamari and the roasted duck. The calamari was a bit strange. Not your standard garlicky spicy canton dish, but more tempura fried calamari covered with a light sprinkling of green onions, garlic, and ginger. Very bland and the calamari was especially fishy for some reason. The duck was probably the standout of the night. It was sweet and salty and flavorful, but not enough to redeem for the rest of the meal. Our waitress was really nice, which is why I'm giving them an extra star despite the overcharge and burnt meat! This meal left me feeling really disappointed.

Don M.

Yelp
Food great and large portions. Prices reasonable. Not a lot of servers so can be a tad slow.

Sophy S.

Yelp
I ordered shrimp fried rice from this place and it tasted like Chinese food from the dollar scoops. It tasted so bad. This place use to have one of the best fried rice. Really disappointed.

Dotty M.

Yelp
We arrived in town after a long days drive. Wanted to walk to eat and we found this perfect little place. It was quiet, so clean with fresh tablecloths, large booths so we could talk and laugh without disturbing anyone else. The service was impeccable and the Chefs Special we chose with egg rolls was delicious and authentic Chinese food, not you regular 'chain' Chinese fare. We are seniors and shared one serving and still left some of the perfectly cooked rice at the table! Of course the bill came with crispy fortune cookies. I can't thank you enough for being there to totally surprise use with a wonderful meal after a 12 hr. driving day!

Jim M.

Yelp
Ordered Vegetable Egg Rolls, Lemon Chicken and Pad Thai to be delivered. Order arrived 30 minutes late. Driver handed us bag and left. We opened the bag - received cashew something, pork sausage rolls and something else. We called the restaurant to see if they could get delivery driver back. Phone was busy. Called back, it was still again. By the time we reached the restaurant we talked to an argumentative woman who was difficult to understand. We were going to ask for a credit on our order, but it was getting late and that would be too much additional energy spent on this. And, the food was not hot. Bottom line, there are other restaurants (such as Egg Roll King) that provide good food, delivered at a fair price. Plus: we were charged a $2.00 delivery charge (even though we're within the 5 mile "free" zone), a $2.75 "service fee", a "retail delivery fee of .27, and a tip.

Max W.

Yelp
Eating in is markedly different than take-out, thats where it fails horrifically. When its served on the table at the restaurant, any issues can be pointed out right there. You do not have the recourse in take-out. We spent $117 for 8 dishes that were less than half in quantity per dish than what is served in the restaurant. Meats were sparse, far less than the same orders on the table in the restaurant. Cheaper vegetables were more common, the better Chinese vegetables were as sparse as the meats, and fish dishes. We also ordered a couple dishes we did not get, had to call in to confirm we were not charged. Overall, you really get cheated on the take-out, we were underfed for what we paid and looked forward to feasting on. Eating in is not bad, a little better than mediocre. There are several authentic Chinese restaurants in the area that are far better fare and higher to be recommended.

Izza B.

Yelp
The best authentic Chinese and Taipei food!!! Their Sesame Ck and traditional Chinese food oh and also crab cheese wontons are fire!! I tried almost everything on their menu, and I love them all!! One of my fav restaurants in Colorado period.

Abby A.

Yelp
Tried several dishes and they all were pretty good. The quality of white rice was so much better than most other asian restaurants'. The spicy entrees were not very spicy for my taste.

Brett S.

Yelp
Order from anywhere else. 4:55. Placed an order for delivery. I was surprised that it would take an hour, but ok. 6:30. Called to check on the order, was told it would arrive in five minutes. 7:05. Called to cancel the order. No apology, and it was clearly never sent. If you can't trust a place to provide the service, I'd never trust what they put in their food.

Riza H. C.

Yelp
Another STELLAR Dining experience at China Taipei Chinese Restaurant. I invited several friends on a SUNDAY afternoon to have Lunch here thru our Meetup group. I am surprised to see a couple who lives all the way either in Fort Collins or Greeley, willing to have Lunch here. From what I could recall we ordered these items that afternoon. * 2 orders of Spicy Beef Tendon * 2 orders of Spicy Roast Beef Brisket * 2 orders of Scallion Pancakes * 2 orders of Seafood Double Pan Fried Noodles * Ma Po Tofu with ONLY Ground Chicken ($13.50) * Vegetables * Braised Eggplants ($11.95) * Roast Duck Half ($15.50) * Steamed Fish Just make sure you allocate extra time when you order the STEAMED FISH coz that dish would require longer preparation time. Everyone at my table liked what we ordered and ate. They even like one of the PORK dishes that they order too. The American couple who just came back from CHINA, said that these dishes we had remind them of fond memories when they work and live in CHINA. One of my Singaporean friends, she ordered the Silken Tofu which she liked. It was NOT too sweet for her liking. All in all, it was a successful Sunday Lunch gathering meeting new friends and familiar faces too. Thank you China Taipei Chinese Restaurant. I shall see you when I am in this neighborhood.

Priscilla N.

Yelp
Food and service is always good. I ordered a tray of beef chow fun to a July 4th party and everyone love it.

Alcie h.

Yelp
We ordered Fried rice and did not receive at all. Then ordered Dinner Korean Ribs $25.00 "6 " tiny ones only and some were simply bone with black burnt edges. It came with a huge pile of of boiled onions. bill was $98.00 without the 20$ tip & a $17. duck, the only real success on the table was lettuce wraps. Ribs and wrong rice were take out. Too bad, they were short of help and Conscientiously, we can not afford the prices under these conditions. We really wanted to like them. BTW, we do not know if the same family still owns this place, we did not see anyone we recognized from review 4 years ago.

youn s.

Yelp
This place is rather closer to being an authentic restaurant than just a Chinese take-out place. My wife and I got two original dishes and the portions were amazing for the price. We ended up taking more food home than eating at the restaurant. Give this place a try, as the server was amazing too.

Carrie K.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible. Dan Dan Noodle Soup was DRY, had no vegetables, minimal pork, no sauce and no flavor whatsoever! Literally no sauce. Look at picture attached and google what Dan Dan Noodles are supposed to look like. It's comical. Happy family was $19.50 and came with NO RICE!! Also lacking in flavor and sauce. Dumplings were dry and tough. Over all, VERY overpriced with no flavor whatsoever. Will definitely not order from again. So disappointed.

Stacie A.

Yelp
We recently moved to the neighborhood and finally got the chance to try this fantastic restaurant! What an incredible meal I just brought home. Super high quality, large portions, and piping hot when I picked it up. Also, friendly caring staff greeted me when I picked up the order. We will be coming back again and again. What a great find!

Stephen B.

Yelp
Pretty nice family run authentic Chinese restaurant. Very good food, reasonable prices. A little hard to find and see from the street. Definitely worth a visit.

Camille J.

Yelp
My family & I have been coming to China Taipei for over 10 years now & it's still one of our go-to eating spots!! Absolutely love this place! We live far away, but we'll always go out of our way to eat here. The food, the service, the ownership, all just wonderful people! Me & my parents usually always order the tofu in dark soy sauce & happy family, but we like to change it up sometimes! Oh, & the cheese wontons! I'm firm in believing that they have the BEST wontons in Colorado! Hands down. (I try wontons everywhere I go, nothing compares).

Rosemary H.

Yelp
Sad 2 stars. The traditional Chinese menu used to transport me back to my days abroad... not now. The "Dan dan" noodles are greasy, flavorless globs of overcooked mush. I say this with the utmost respect, but dropping it from the menu might be a better option. The Hong Shao Rou was tough, and the rice was yellowish and overcooked. So many dishes make it stressful to on the kitchen and near impossible keep quality ingredients. I wish you'd offer what your kitchen loved to cook... even if there were fewer items.

Harish V.

Yelp
First restaurant in Colorado and it was reasonably a good experience.Been here for lunch with a Meet Up group and glad they were pretty friendly. Ordered Kung Pao Chicken that comes with rice ,egg roll and small soup of your choice(Wonton or egg drop) which costed me $9.57 including tax. Soup was pretty good so does the kung pao chicken.Looks like the red sauce on the table was prepared by them which tasted so bad. Pros: -------- Reasonable Price Decent Taste Free Parking Friendly Staff Quick Service Clean Restrooms Cons: ------- None to me Try yourself and yelp out your experience and suggest what should I try on their menu.

Gi K.

Yelp
This is my go to spot when I'm craving authentic Tai Pei Chinese food. When we think Chinese food initially you may think it is all the same. But actually each region has their own unique dishes and style of cooking. There chinese menu has a good selection and I haven't gone wrong with any dishes that I've chosen and eaten. They are friendly and welcoming.

Kirti D.

Yelp
Everyone is so kind and the wontons and mapo tofu are our favorites! We love going back here to eat!

JD H.

Yelp
Duck roast noodle Soup . Pretty freaking tasty. The broth was smooth and light , the noodles were fantastic and the duck was roasted to perfection. Had it as take out and the broth and everything else came separate so I had to throw everything together but it was well worth it and was enough for me to eat the other half the next day. Loved the bok choy! Added a steamed gyoza because I was feeling adventurist lol. Seriously though loved this soup and will order again.

Gabriel W.

Yelp
I stopped by here upon driving through on my way to Denver after a long road trip. They close at 10pm on Saturday nights and we arrive at 8:30 after calling in advance. Upon walking in we were temperature checked and sat in a corner table. The whole time we were there we were the only table which was a little quiet. They have a great selection of authentic Chinese and Taiwanese food which we really liked. The pricing however is a little on the higher end. It was around $15ish a dish however the tastes were pretty good. I would come back again the next time I visit

Doug T.

Yelp
Nice folks, great authentic dishes and good service. Easy to get to location. Nice, warm surroundings!

L Z.

Yelp
Delightful. Most of the authentic Chinese restaurants I went to are poorly lit and crowded, but this restaurant have a whole side as windows with aromatic lights. It's quiet, the only loud times are during holidays. I came here a few times every month so the crew recognizes me, and they're always friendly. The food is delightful, it's hard to find another authentic Taiwanese cuisine like this.

Bay S.

Yelp
Simply the best Chinese around I personally prefer this Over John Hollys. Must haves: Siracha Beef Sesame Chicken spicy Combo Fired Rice spicy And extra cream cheese wontons (they are the best I've ever had)

Marge F.

Yelp
This is our go to for Chinese takeout. The prices are reasonable, all our food has been delicious and they offer complimentary deliver within a several mile radius. We've been really pleased! Recommend to support small local businesses!

Harmony P.

Yelp
Food was slimy, bad smell, veggies weren't good. Bad experience... They added a delivery fee, services fee at the last minute. Not cool. Had ordered again and what a disappointment. it was and a waste of my money even I called them to let them know the problem. They seems don't care at all. Will not order from here again or order in restaurant. Big disappointment.

Thomas M.

Yelp
I usually don't write a review unless is extremely unacceptable. We were looking for a place to dine in last night, we decided to try this out. Really poor customer service... we placed a $50 order for 2 people and the meals were incorrectly prepared. I let the waitress know and they refused to fix their mistake...the lady was aggressive and rude. There are better Asian restaurants close to me, won't be back here again. There are way better options out there!
