Yelp
Such a simple, unprepossessing location, but the food is ever delish.
My biggest recommendation here is the Hot and Sour Soup. That may seem odd, but if you're in a hurry or of limited funds, you'll be glad you got it. ESPECIALLY GOOD during cold season. I've successfully recommended it to others and have successfully recommended others bring it to me when I'm bed ridden. Not sure if it's the pepper, vinegar, or what...but it is comfort food for the weary. (However, if you're there nearing closing time, they are ALWAYS OUT. Once, when the main dude was gone, the lady running the place had them make me some up, but not with this guy.)
I don't know that I would recommend any particular dish here over another, as I've never had a bad one. Staples like Beef and Broccoli, this or that Meat with this or that Nut, and Egg Rolls are fresh (you can watch them cook your food, if you're patient), but I really go for the Seafood selections. The Seafood Combination is a case in point, with Shrimp, Scallop, Crab Meat, Lobster...
Their range is Cantonese, Szechuan, and Hunan and the menu's rather extensive. They offer combo specials on the print menu and on a board near the front counter, which stays pretty busy.
There is a sit-down area, if you're so disposed. It's not at all fancy and if you're one to grade a restaurant on that, better look elsewhere. But it's clean enough, just basic. The restrooms are of poor gas station grade.
Careful as it starts getting dark. It's not overrun, but the alms-seekers make you feel "Les Miz" must be playing nearby. Still, it's not a tough neighborhood. Just be aware in the evening.
