China World Hotel, Beijing

China Hotel is not new but very well maintained. Room was clean and nice decorated. Friendly personnel. Breakfast was very delicious and widely choices. Good quality coffee during breakfast. During breakfast, my daughter had pain due to a scratch on the side of the spoon. When we told this to the personnel, the manager came apologizing with a cute stuff animal for my daughter. 😃||

I regret to inform you that the incidents described below have left me deeply disappointed and distressed.||||Firstly, during breakfast on [10-06-2024], I specifically ordered an omelet with vegetables and cheese. To my dismay, I was served an omelet containing pork. Confident in the accuracy of my order, I began eating without checking the contents, only to realize after consuming most of the dish that it contained pork. As a Muslim, consuming pork is strictly against my dietary practices and religious beliefs. This mistake on the part of your staff has caused me significant distress and discomfort. Such carelessness is unacceptable and demonstrates a lack of attention to guest requests and dietary restrictions.||||Additionally, while spending time at the pool with my wife and children on [10.06.2024], we were approached by hotel guest of Chinese descent who rudely instructed us to be quiet, despite the fact that we were not making excessive noise. This led to an unnecessary argument that lasted several minutes. Throughout this confrontation, the hotel security did not intervene, and the pool attendant did not attempt to de-escalate the situation. It was clear that his actions were racially motivated, as he targeted us specifically because we are foreigners. This experience was not only distressing but also made us feel unwelcome and unsafe in your establishment.

I've been staying in ShangriLa group hotels in China consistently for the past 19 years, including China World Beijing. I stayed here in April and complained about the Horizon Club standard and the total lack of English for an international 5 star hotel. I have spent 3 nights again now with my 2 adult sons and we all agreed that the Horizon Club standard is unbecoming of the group.... apart from the fact that we had to enter our room numbers into a calculator for the front desk to understand, they have tonic with no gin (noboby could understand what we asked for and a guest translated). I will no longer be staying at this hotel which is a very poor reflection on the hotel group that I patronise. This 2 week trip I'm staying at 4 group hotels

We stayed here for a work trip. The hotel was top tier. We ate in the buffet for breakfast most mornings. The views are great, and the location was perfect for us. The concierge was super helpful and arranged an amazing day of sight seeing with a private driver and tour guide.

I usually stay in 1 of the hotels around this area near my beijing office - China world, Kerry, Jen. Jen being the best||Chin world is oldish but tries to be grand with the over the top lobby and decorations||Check in was ok but no recognition of my diamond status - no thank you, upgrade, perks, lounge access||Room old fashioned with dark wood and 90s phone. Lucky they changed the tv||Wrote a seperate review for the breakfast restaurant

Went for a business meeting. My first trip to China found the city fascinating and interesting. Sadly not enough time to catch the sights (tip) book in advance on line before you go - otherwise you cannot go on the day and enter Forbidden city etc. Get Alipay - easiest way to manage payments around the city, all cashless.||Now the hotel - well appointed and comfortable spacious rooms. Staff extremely obliging and helpful, some other countries could learn from their example. Well spoken and good comprehension of English. Food - outstanding all round.||There a re plenty of choices in the city to stay - i highly recommend this one for good service, food, cleanliness and value

China World is my favorite stay in Beijing. Staff are very attentive and responsive. Particularly I would like to recognize William Li from reservation, who was very patient and responsive to all of my requests for rooms. Food in the hotel are very tasty, no matter eating in the Chinese restaurant, buffet, or even in room dining. My family was very happy with the stay.

Great stay, would definitely recommend 💯A tiny suggestion would be to add little things to your service such as explain where breakfast is (for those who have it included) as well as explain how to get to your room. I was a first time guest at your hotel and didn't specifically know where things were located (had no problem finding them). The elevators were easy enough to find, but explaining where it is should still be something the people at the front desk does and as a guest you should not have to ask where breakfast is, it should automatically be told to you upon check-in. It will smooth things over with guests. Other than that, everything was perfect and I was super satisfied with it 😊
