China World Hotel, Beijing

Very disappointed. We booked for a family of 3 adults for 4 nights arrived 28/12/26 so expected 3 beds. On arrival looked a nice 5* hotel, English very limited but managed with google translate. Room very clean & tidy, bathroom & amenities very good, large tv with fantastic view but only 2 king single beds for 3 adults, expected housekeeping would bring foldaway bed as mentioned on trip advisor/booking.com so went out to get food in China World Mall, arrived back late but no extra bed, called reception, no help so slept on chaise with extra bedding in wardrobe. After breakfast went to reception & said required xtra bed. Went out for day with taxi from hotel & returned late, went to reception as no xtra bed, so again one of us slept on chaise, mentioned again @ reception after breakfast. We had a 7am tour & didn’t return until 11pm. Again no xtra bed, by this time gave up & housekeeping was making chaise up. We paid for 3 adults so expected 3 beds not 2 king singles tried mentioning on check out as expected refund for sleeping on chaise, hard to know if didn’t understand English or just don’t want to know. Breakfast was good, buffet style, hotel central and had a lift going from hotel into shopping mall. Young guy on door was extremely helpful, one English very good other google translate helpful. But not good having to sleep on a chaise when paid for 3 beds for 4 nights.

Booked hotel for a family of 3 adults but only 2 king single beds, thought housekeeping would bring extra bed but didn’t despite asking one didn’t arrive & no discount on checkout, hardly any English spoken so most communication google translate. You expect a 5* hotel to provide a bed or beds to accommodate the amount of people you’d booked for. If there had been no chaise one of us would have had to slept on floor. Only good thing was view & breakfast.

I’ve always stayed here for business trips and this time, I finally got to enjoy the service and the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Those at Horizon Club were a class of their own. Love their buffet spread, tea time and happy hour. Location is definitely great with 2 subway lines. Will definitely stay here again when we’re back the next time!

This has always been my preferred hotel in Beijing. However, my stay this time coincide with the Grand Military Parade in Beijing. The security was extremely tight, exiting and entering the hotel even as the guest. Movement around the hotel and the annexed mall was very restricted.||This is the second time I stayed in this hotel which at that time was staying on the Horizon Club Floor. However, this time I opted for the Deluxe Room as I was on a China Tour. The room furnishing was quite worn out but nevertheless is well maintained and kept clean. The view from the room is facing the CCTV tower which is very unusual and unique in architecture. ||The house-keeping staff are very well mannered, but I had some issue with the concierge as they were not very helpful and not able to assist when we try to seek their help to make some restaurants bookings not within the hotel. I was also disappointed that such a reputable hotel, they do not even have any chairs at the lobby for guests to sit while waiting for check in or after coming back from the outside for a rest.||Equally disappointed was the Chinese Restaurant (Summer Palace) which we patronized. The quality of the food prepared is not value for money. ||Overall, I find that the hotel environment is not as good as the last time I stayed in this hotel with the iconic and stylish prestige of an International Hotel. The surrounding lobby area seems so lifeless except for the buzz and security guards manning the area. The more active areas are at the annexed building, but accessibility was restricted due to the tight security.

The overall experience was very nice. i was on 13th floor which was a comfortable and spacious room with all necessary amenities. The. ambience and vibe of the hotel is very classy. Has a high end mall attached as well for shopping and is reasonable close to other shopping areas. noise levels are manageable and overall service is quite decent as well.

Wonderful Stay at China World Hotel – Highly Recommended We stayed at the China World Hotel for three nights in early August 2025 as part of our China trip, and we were genuinely impressed. The service was outstanding — exactly what you’d expect from a five-star hotel. Every staff member we interacted with was extremely friendly and professional. Special thanks to the reception team, who spoke excellent English and made us feel very welcome from the first moment. Yes, the hotel is a little older, and our room could use a light renovation, but everything was spotlessly clean and fully functional. We had no issues at all and felt very comfortable throughout our stay. A special highlight is the hotel’s direct access to the China World Mall. After a long flight, having dozens of great restaurants just steps away is a true luxury. Whether you're in the mood for local cuisine or international flavors, you'll find something delicious. From us: top marks across the board and a big thank you to the entire team at the China World Hotel. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing room and an impressive variety of breakfast options both at the restaurant and in the Horizon Club Lounge. The location is unbeatable—right next to the mall and train station, making everything super convenient. Kudos to whoever added the Nasi Lemak to the Horizon Club Lounge menu — it was absolutely spot-on and delicious. Special thanks to Philip Xu at the Horizon Club Lounge; his exceptional service is truly on another level.

The breakfast buffet was impressive with a wide selection of both Western and Asian dishes. The fitness center and indoor pool were well-maintained, offering a great way to unwind after a busy day.Overall, it’s an excellent choice for anyone visiting Beijing. The combination of service quality, location, and comfort makes it one of the city’s best hotels. I would definitely stay here again.
