I've been ordering from Chinantla for nearly six years but hadn't ordered in a while to switch things up. I ordered enchiladas today and the sauce was basically water, had no spiciness, and the chicken is dry chicken breast (it used to be well-seasoned chicken thigh). Will probably not order from here again and I'm so sad because it was really authentic before.

Fresh Chips. Delicious salsas. Guacamole made upon order. Good Tacos. Ignore the 3.8 BS. Nice unpretentious environment thank goodness.

Amazing, authentic place with great food at reasonable prices. Some people say it is unhygienic, I guarantee these people are just going off stereotypes. The kitchen is open and you can see how people prepare the food. It is 100% up to standard and deliciously prepared!

The salsas are superb. The barbacoa is goat, as it should be. The al pastor is spicy and fatty. And they make the tortillas right when you order. What else could you want?

Best food in the area. The hospitality there was unmatched and the food was delicious. The portions were so big that it lasted me for 2 days. I will return for more!

Great food and cheap. My boyfriend and I used to order at least once a week but the last time the delivery guy was obviously drunk. He refused to go to a "basement" apartment - note, we do not live in a basement apartment. He then nearly got in a fight with my boyfriend, started yelling, etc. The food that night was also super over cooked (and I literally order the same thing every time, see overcooked freezer burned shrimp below). My boyfriend tried to call the store and whoever answered sounded equally drink and didn't give a sh*t. Really disappointing.

Large portions of excellent Mexican food! The house special veggie tacos with napoles (cactus) were served with side of verde and mole salsas. So good. Al pastor burrito gets some press. Up front, groceries include tortillas, produce, and specialties like queso cotija. What more do you need? Note: cash only.
