Chip Cookies

Google
Cookies are delicious if you like the more ooey and gooey style of cookies! My favorite of the ones I tried is the season pecan pie- so good!! The cookies are big and sweet, so you wont be able to eat too many. But they sure are delicious!!

Pilar G.

Google
The Best Cookies in Boise! Better than crumble! They come out with new flavors every week and are fresh everyday. I would happily give them all my money.

Amanda

Google
There is nothing better than Chip Cookies! I love how they keep things alive with a new cookie every month - and now it seems like they are doing TWO new cookies per month! I look forward to trying new flavors every month. The product itself is delicious, especially with a glass of milk. The cookies are kept very nice and warm. I do like the think cookies much better than the large, flat ones. Something about the thick ones taste a lot better. The staff at this location is okay - I’ve gotten greeted by very positive and friendly people, and other times it seemed like the poor girl just needed to go home and take a break. Now as for their delivery service, I myself have never tried it but I’ve heard many stories circulating cookies that never arrived, and then when contacting the company not receiving any response. I think this is very upsetting as there have been times I’ve wanted to order them instead of driving 20 minutes for a cookie, but I always refrain from doing so after being reminded of all the reviews. $10 is only $10, I get it, but money is money and if you multiply that by the number of reviews from disgruntled people about missing cookies, that’s a lot of people being robbed of a lot of money. So please caution before you do order!

Love this location! Right in the heart of my hometown! Mel was super kind and knowledgeable ♡ thanks for all of your help today.

Google
I feel bad writing this, but while the shop is cute and the server was really nice, the cookies are just plain meh to very bad. I bought the lemon one, rainbow sprinkles, and dulce de leche. Dulce de leche and rainbow one were very unbaked, sweet, and had weird flavors. The whipped cream on the dulce tasted like cheap grocery store whipped cream which I was surprised about bc i assumed it would be fresh. I ended up throwing out the dulce and sprinkles cookies after one bite of each. That's a lot coming from me bc i hate wasting food and rarely is something ever so bad i need to toss it in the garbage immediately. The lemon one was better, but overall not worth the time or money to buy inedible items. I've been to cumbl a few times and while I think it's very mid, sadly I do feel its much better than here. Maybe if one likes underbaked cookie dough and sickly sweet cookies you'll like it? I do prefer soft chewy cookies, but not raw.

Cynthia H.

Google
Bought a four cookie box and they were so delicious. We had to go right back in and buy four more! Love the sugar cookie and milk, chocolate chip cookies!

Charlene O.

Google
We have absolutely loved Chip cookies and the delicious slightly under baked soft center. I ordered two OG boxes yesterday and both were overcooked and like a dense cake instead of the usual soft centers .. I'll give it another whirl, but to say it was a dissapointment was an understatement .. no one wanted to eat them 😭

Google
I went for the second time 10/15 around 9pm and the lady was great! Patient, helpful, and had some good conversation. Wish I had gotten her name to add but she was fantastic. The cookies were great and we left with smiles on our faces. Great place to check out!
google avatar

Josh P.

Yelp
You guys don't quality check your products before selling them? The Dubai cookie is the worst thing you've ever released (or maybe just this batch?) super dry kataifa in the middle, absolutely no pistachio cream, and a cake like dry brownie surrounding it. The other cookies were fine, but cmon.... I'm shocked this made it to the counter to sell.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
The cookies are gourmet and taste so fresh like they are right out of the oven! I prefer chip over Crumbl for sure! The place is nice and cozy and the employees too!

Yelp
Delicious cookies! A modern and fun warm twist in a classic cookie. If grandma's cookies meet gormae pastrys

Amy G.

Yelp
the cookies are amazing! they staff are super friendly and helpful. The store is clean and the ambiance is great.

Joanna G.

Yelp
Cookies are so delicious. The biscoff one was my favorite. Tres leches was a close second, but honestly we enjoyed all 4 that we chose. Even the plain chocolate one was delicious. The cashier was very nice and helpful.
google avatar

Nicole E.

Yelp
Saw this place on our walk into downtown. Dessert before dinner? Maybe. One luck at the display cookies and they looked so colorless and lifeless. I decided the OG nor the Biscoff cookie looked even slightly carb worthy.

Allison O.

Yelp
When I say you will moan when you eat the SW Chip cookie, I am not exaggerating. We come to Chip every time we are downtown. And their customer service is always great

Yelp
Hello everyone. A few weeks ago, I had left a not very good review for Chips. I had a problem with the quality of the cookies. The people were very responsive to the issue. Well, today I visited the same store and couldn't believe my eyes. I had suggested that they look at their process and seen that they changed. Very impressive at the response. Great people and management.

Yelp
I have a sweet tooth and had to try Chip Cookies. What I was stoked about, was they had day old cookies. I ended up liking my day old more than my fresh cookie. Overall it was good, just didn't have my salivating for more. The staff working the shop were very nice. Nice addition to the downtown vibes.

Yelp
Had the munchies while walking around Boise and came upon this yummy place for dessert. Enjoyed some cookies and walked on.
google avatar

Yelp
I freakin love this place. I walk across town often to just grab a small treat to eat! Several times we'll get them delivered to the office... much better than crumble. Give 'em a try!

Yelp
I love me a chocolate chip cookie so I had to make the walk downtown to Chip based on the reviews and looking at the menu but it fell slightly flat during my visit. Be sure to walk since they do have a parking lot but the area around is metered so you will need to pay. We came during a weekday afternoon so no line at all but when we entered we weren't really welcomed in and you could see the staff didn't acknowledge us. We were on the hunt for cookies so we still ended up getting 3 cookies (the og chocolate chip, biscoff, and I forgot the last flavor we got but it had marshmallows like lucky charms). For the 3 cookies it was $12+. After we left we saw they also had a deal for 4 cookies which we should have gotten but the staff didn't let us know about it :( I was excited when we left to feel the box slightly warm (who doesn't love a fresh cookie!?). When we finally sat down to enjoy they are pretty chunky cookies and wanted the cookie reveal of the melty goodness in the middle but it was more dough than chocolate. I usually enjoy a thicker cookie but it didn't melt in my mouth with each bite and felt a little dry. The OG was my favorite for sure based on the chocolate they put in the cookie. The biscoff was nice as well but would have preferred more biscoff in the cookie so I could have it throughout. The last seasonal flavor we had wasn't my favorite and felt like it had lucky charms marshmallows in the middle. Overall, worth trying just to try it and see what the hype is about but I would opt to try some other cookie shops before coming back.

Jacob L.

Yelp
We use to love ordering local delivery. The process was simple and the cookies were always warm. Ever since they went to Door Dash, the cookies have never arrived warm. It also seems like the weekly cookie is some sort of lazy gimmick where they just throw whipped cream or cereal on top of a plain cookie. Recently, on line ordering only offers preselected boxes with no option to select your own variety. When you call, you are automatically placed on hold and no one answers. Done for now. May try again in a few months.
google avatar

Chris J.

Yelp
So this place has delicious cookies. But 1. they do not offer a gluten/sugar free option and 2. THE PARKING LOT IS A PAID PARKING LOT, so there is literally never any parking!! We have driven away several times and gone elsewhere for dessert bc of this.
google avatar

Shirley F.

Yelp
The interior was quite interesting. The moment you step foot it feels as if you're in a kitchen of a bakery. The place is spacious and there's a small register to place your cookie order. Cookies -- Better than Sex - This was a bit overwhelming for one and would go well with coffee or milk Chocolate chip - Stick with the classic, it comes warm and gooey! Anyways, defintely stop by and grab a box of cookies Togo!

Patrick C.

Yelp
Customer Care. Chip cookies understands. Far superior to others bakers who tumble on this. Sabrina is the very best. We feel at home here.

Yelp
Kiddo was on the hunt for a cookie, so we turned to our favorite referral service, Yelp, which led us to Chip. We drove into downtown and were able to get parking right in the front of shop. The shop is simple and largely unadorned, save for a neon sign proclaiming "Chip happens in Boise". There was a small selection to choose from; we went with the classic chocolate chip and decided to add a few sugar cookies for good measure. The chocolate chip was ooey gooey and super flavorful, not too sweet and HUGE. Kiddo was able to wolf it down, as kiddos do, but I ended up splitting my cookie with my husband. Kiddo has now proclaimed that going to Chip is a tradition every time we are near Boise. Looks like I'll be back soon!

Yelp
This is a cute place in Boise that I was excited to try! We ordered all four of the offered flavors: OG, Biscoff chip, monster, and sugar chip. They were all very different but all so good. The monster was my favorite kind of cookie - warm, gooey, and crisp on the edges. It was amazing. These cookies weren't the most aesthetically pleasing but made up it in flavor. Plus, they made an awesome road trip snack as we headed back home from Boise. Definitely give this place a try!

Becca T.

Yelp
I'm not a huge fan of spending so much money on giant specialty cookies, but this place has changed my mind! These cookies are DELISH. Also the two ladies that made my cookies at the downtown location were just the sweeetest.
google avatar

Emma E.

Yelp
Great cookies. I love the size of the mini cookies. More options than I was expecting. Ice cream offered. Cute photo ops.
google avatar

Mike J.

Yelp
Great little spot that is open late, they have amazing cookies and you can choose from a few different kinds. Good quick service & super great smells inside!
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
Simply sharing as it says they have vegetarian options, but they aren't as they use regular white sugar and regular white sugar contains animal bones. Just an FYI for fellow vegetarians as I'm here now and they confirmed that it's not vegetarian friendly.

Yelp
My teen made me go here, and I wanted to walk out, because I said that I was not gonna pay $5 for a cookie. But, we stayed, and we bought a cookie. That cookie is definitely worth $5. It's the best cookie that you'll ever have, plus there's frosting and toppings, and even whipped cream, if you want it. The very best. I didn't know that cookies could taste this good. 5 stars !

Yelp
I had read about this place a lot before I had gone up to Boise and knew that even if I had only a few minutes, I had to stop by and grab at least one cookie. Shame on me for forgetting the name of the cookies I got but it was some special they had, a riff on the Somoa girl scout cookie. It was big and thick and yet somehow still gooey and luscious. For shops like this (Twisted Suagar, Crumbl, etc.) this place easily comes out on top. I actually considered having these shipped to Las Vegas so that's got to tell you how much I enjoyed this cookie.

Norris K.

Yelp
Service is always excellent. (I'm only there late at night and most of their customers are pretty hammered, lol - but they handle those with grace. Emma & Eli served me tonight (Saturday, 12/9) and if I had a retail operation, I would steal them. Professional AND cheery. Your cookies are good (despite the price) but it's the people that bring you back. Eli & Emma are that kind of people. Thanks!

Yelp
2.5 Stars now. I've been ordering cookies from Chip for about 1.5 years now, ever since my friend first brought back a box of their delicious Biscoff chip cookies from a work trip to Idaho. The cookies were so good that I was excited to discover they ship nationwide. I've tried several of their flavor of the month cookies, and while I haven't loved all of them, I couldn't deny the quality of their cookies and service. I always received my cookies expediently and without issue. Until recently that is. A few weeks ago I ordered their current cookie of the month flavor- the Snickershoedle chip, described as a snickerdoodle cookie stuffed with Biscoff cookie butter. I ordered 2 boxes and received the first box after a short delay, which wasn't actually Chip's fault but due to postal service being delayed in general due to protests. However, when my box did arrive it was damaged. Again, this isn't necessarily Chip's fault as they did have a fragile sticker on the box. But once I opened the box I realized two of the cookies were broken into pieces, and the other two, which were lopsided in shape, started crumbling into pieces as soon as I opened the wrapper. One of the cookies also didn't have much cookie butter filling in it, as advertised. Just as concerning was the shoddy wrapping that was done this time around. The cookies were wrapped but instead of being sealed like they used to be, the wrapping was taped together. To paint you a picture, the cookie and the packaging basically looked like how cookies your friend who doesn't bake often would make and send to you, and not how you would expect a store bought package of cookies or bakery cookies to look. The last problem I had, which I don't entirely blame Chip Cookies for this specific issue, but wanted to bring up to highlight how unfortunate this entire recent experience was, is how I never recieved my second box of cookies. Usually when I order more than one package of cookies, they tape the boxes together and I receive my entire order together. That didn't happen this time around, and when I got the email notification that my order had been delivered and completed without mention of the other missing half of my order, I became concerned. I emailed right away, and I will say they did respond and work on figuring out the issue. A couple days later, after I emailed again, I was told their delivery specialist forgot to send the second box of cookies I ordered, so they offered to send me a new package or refund. And since I wasnt happy with the cookies I did receive, I decided on a refund. I'll end this review by saying I would like to order from Chip Cookies again some day, especially when they start selling their delicious Biscoff chip flavor cookies again, but I know I will be hesitant to do so given this past experience.

Yelp
The cookies are sooooo good! I specifically love the sugar cookies and tres leches cookies. But the service is really what stands out. I came in the other night and the girl helping us was so friendly and helpful. She had black hair and rainbow roots and honestly, was just the sweetest. I mentioned my friends were from out of town and she gave us the best service EVER. Love this place!
google avatar

Andrijana J.

Yelp
Best cookies I've had in a long time. The OG chocolate chip cookie is huge, soft, and delicious! It stays pretty soft for a few days, too, so if you get a box of them you don't have to finish them in one day to enjoy the freshness.
google avatar

Kenny H.

Yelp
Delicious cookie bakery in downtown Boise! Came here on my lunch break craving something sweet Wednesday afternoon. There was a good amount of free parking in the parking lot. They offer chocolate chip cookies and other flavors on rotation. I got the Red Velvet Cookie today and man was it good! They also gave me free frosting in a cup which is something new because they didn't offer that before. Total came out to be $3.18 with tax but it was plenty worth it. These cookies are huge! About twice a size of the cookies you would find elsewhere. Overall good experience and will be coming back when I'm in the area!
google avatar

Monica D.

Yelp
If you want decent value then you are in the right place (4 for $10). But I could only eat one. They were not that flavorful or cookie like. They are more like a cake-y dough. They are served warm which is nice but then feel like you are eating a pound of cooking. Buying milk helps. I would pass.
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
If heaven was a cookie, then it would be a Chip O.G. cookie. OMG. These cookies are AMAZING! As a baker I never find cookies I like better than the ones I make, but Chip steals the show. Warm, perfectly soft and a little gooey in the middle, with crisp edges. We came to Chip 2 of the 4 nights we were visiting Boise and it's probably a good idea that they don't have one where I live otherwise I would probably make it a nightly treat (and my waistline doesn't need that). Definitely go here and get the O.G.!! We also got the seasonal chocolate peanut butter cup Reese's pieces cookie....hubby said it was FULL of peanut butter cups and Reese's pieces! So good!!
google avatar

Arica R.

Yelp
Chip is where it's at for cookies. The best cookie I've by far have ever ate. So warm, chewy & delicious. Not to mention when you go in you literally see them making the cookies right there, so you know they are fresh & "home made" This is a must if you're in the Boise area. I'll for sure be coming back here from CA in August when I visit again.
google avatar

Renae E.

Yelp
Great downtown Boise location! Tired of everything going up and out to Meridian! Samoa chip is by far my favorite cookie from this place. Not too sweet; but with all the flavors of the Girl Scout cookies. Get some while you can this month! Just wish this place offered reward/loyalty program like their competitors.
google avatar

Paul W.

Yelp
Excellent! Fresh and warm bought 12 chocolate chip and one cookies and cream. Love it!!! Especially the cookies and cream. I'd never ever complain about the size of any dessert, especially a large delicious cookie, but apparently a couple people were surprised by the size and I guess intimidated, hahaha! To bad for them, I ate their leftovers
google avatar

Brenda M.

Yelp
Yummy gooey cookies! Huge chocolate chip cookies that can be split or eaten whole. Reminds me of delicious cookies from NYC! This place is closed on Sundays.

Karly K.

Yelp
I would describe the cookie as more of a hybrid between a cake and a cookie that is half baked and slightly gooey. I personally didn't like how doughy the cookie is and the chocolate chips are not rich enough for me. It was milk chocolate chips not dark in the cookie. I was disappointed. If you like thicker dougher cookies that are more like a cake than a cookie I would recommend this place. It's just not my personal preference cookie wise.
google avatar

Sandra M.

Yelp
I was lucky enough to have been gifted Samoa and Choc chip cookies. They were shipped to me 700 miles in California. They showed up in perfect shape and were such an amazing gift. They were ordered from Provo Utah.
google avatar

Lindsay J.

Yelp
Oh man! What can I say about Chip aside from the fact that it is total satisfaction for this little pregnant lady! As I was with my friends while they were attending a bar crawl, I decided I needed a cookie (since I was not participating in the crawl). Holy moly, this cookie was good! I ended up ordering 4 cookie (I had to share). Two were their standard chocolate chip, and the other two was their "flavor of the month." For the month of May (2019) they had a Nutella filled cookie, along with white and semi sweet chocolate chips.. it was THEN rolled in sprinkles! **sprinkles are my total weakness!** I thankfully waited to consume my cookie until I got everyone home safely and could share. We ended up cutting these cookies in 6th. Thank goodness we did too! They were all so delicious... but oh so rich and sweet (in all the best ways). I didn't know they offered a cookie of the month before visiting their establishment. I look forward to future visits and seeing their future monthly feature.

Yelp
I've been seeing these cookies al over Instagram so I was excited to try them once I got back into town. I was expecting these to be overly hyped, but these are the real deal! I came here late last night around 1:30 AM and was surprised by the superior quality even that late into the night. The employee I interacted with was very friendly and the cookie was hot and fresh. I ordered the special edition peppermint Oreo chocolate cookie and it was really delicious. It was absolutely chock-full of Oreos and had a really nice balance of strong mint cream and a nice rich chocolate flavor. It wasn't a super gooey cookie, but still had a moist interior and was extremely hard to put down. The inside of the store could use some work, it's a pretty bare-bones interior that isn't really dressed up in any spectacular way. They have a huge space and a lot of empty room in the back-- it might be nice for them to add some tables and seating in the front. But don't let this stop you from coming in because the cookies are well worth the stop! I'll be ordering some delivery very soon & am excited to try their plain chocolate chip cookies. Awesome stop for dessert and a great addition to downtown Boise!

Yelp
Oh. My. Gosh. You are wasting your time reading this review. JUST GO TO CHIP RIGHT NOW. GO! NOW! This place is freaking amazing, and so smart to be open til 2am on the weekends for people like me! I loved seeing the dough being rolled out and prepped behind the counter. Really great atmosphere & very clean. You either buy single cookies or 4 in a box. I went with one, then immediately regretted it. Be a responsible adult and buy 4 of them. When you order, you are asked if you also would like milk or water to go with it. SO SMART! Of course you need milk to go with these enormous cookies. They are served warm and gooey and absolutely amazing. I went with the special which was MINT OREOS blended in with their choc. chip. Dude. Are you in your car yet to go get one? Thank me later!
google avatar

Lindsay D.

Yelp
The cookies here are gigantic and delicious. A box of 4 cookies is $10. It's sounds high, but when you see them, you'll see that each cookie is enormous. Eight people could easily share four cookies split in half. The standard chocolate chip is always tasty. They also have monthly flavors. The February biscoff cookies were out of this world! In general, the cookies are thick, ever so slightly crunchy on the outside, and chewy on the inside. They stay fresh for a few days and can be microwaved to restore their gooeyness.
google avatar

Amy A.

Yelp
Wow! Best warm chocolate chip cookie!!! Super yummy, hot and ready, smell amazing, and waiting for you! Hours are Monday-Thursday 11am-2am Friday and Saturday 11am-2:30am Closed Sundays Ps they deliver!!!! Chipcookies.co

Yelp
We wouldn't have known this place existed if the smell hadn't lured us in. Not even kidding. We smelled something delicious in the air and followed our noses. I was here on a layover, and my crew and I had just eaten, but there was P-L-E-N-T-Y of room for a cookie. We shared the original chocolate chip and the one made with those Cadbury Easter candies that look kinda like chocolate robin's eggs. Both were awesome.

Yelp
I'll try to make this one short, haha! Does that ever happen?? Mmk! If you live in Boise, chances are, you have been to this adorable little spot...where they sell GIGANTIC chocolate chip cookies for $3 dollhairs a piece or 4 for $10 dollhairssss. Is it worth it? Ok, normally I when I'd hear those prices for a cookie... i usually buy them hahaha! Why? Because if they are that much and that big, they have to be good, right? I've learned that's not always the case. In this case tho, it is. These cookies are delicious af. When you go to the actual store, they give them to you all warm :) You can also buy milk to have with them and honestly, warm cookies are much better with milk. These cookies are enormous! So you actually get an amazing tasting cookie, a huge one, and for a price that yeah, is a little high for 1 cookie, but believe it or not, it's worth it. There are like 4 cookies in one...they're like the size of a small plate. I honestly like them MORE the day after I bought them. They seemed tastier to me... not sure what that's all about, but I dunno, I don't think we get the TRUE taste of these cookies or many actually, when they are right outta the oven. Don't get me wrong, warm cookies are the best, but for some reason, these in particular tasted better after they sat for a bit. I went in planning on buying only 1 or 2, but I mean, 4 for 10? That's just a better deal and that waaaaaay.....I got to feel like a fat bitch for a couple days! YAAAY! hahahaha! The place is kinda plain. You walk in, walk to the counter, order, move to the right and a hippie dude gives them to you. It's kinda like the soup kitchen in Seinfeld, but without the "soup n*zi" hahahaha! These people are super friendly! The girl who rang me up was a total sweetheart :) I love the little place they have there. The "5th Avenue" tile on the floors is always a great touch. If I had any complaints it would be these 2 minor things: 1) the parking lot SUUUUUUUUCKS!!!! omg! And 2) in the store, they have an area where they could put 2 small tables with 2 chairs.. but they don't have tables or chairs....anywhere...not even outside. A bench outside would even help. I guess most pick up and leave, but some people like to sit down and eat they cookie with they milk, hahaha! But that's not an option here, unfortunately lol. Other than that, there's nothing bad I can say about this place. I'm glad we have them here in Boise. They'd be a cool little gift for someone. Anyway, that's it! I think I did ok in making this shorter than my usual hahah! Thanks for reading, Yelpers! Cheers!

Yelp
I was recommended to try this place by a local so I wasn't sure what I was expecting. There is a parking lot out front which is nice for downtown. The interior is pretty minimal, lots of white tile with a counter and a large open space behind the counter where there is a work table, ovens, warmers, etc. I was pretty confused because there were no baked goods on display--did they sell out? I ventured to ask if they even had cookies to sell at the moment. The employee at the counter gave a confused look (you and me both, sis) said yeah and gestured at their TV screen displaying the menu. The menu was all words and no pictures. The cookie options included a box of 4 chocolate chip, a box of 4 seasonal specialty, or a box of 4 mix and match (2 chocolate chip and 2 specialty) There was also tea and coffee for sale I believe. At this point I was still confused because I couldn't find prices for individual cookies...maybe this place only sold 4 packs? And how many types of cookies did they sell...maybe only two? I didn't see what the seasonal flavor was on the menu so I asked what it was: chocolate with peppermint and Oreos. It sounded tasty enough, so I went with the mix and match for $10. The employee took my payment and retrieved my box from the warmer (ohhhh, THAT'S where they've been keeping the cookies) It was only then I opened up the box to see what I actually bought. If you're on yelp reading reviews you already have access to pictures showing how GIANT these cookies are. The cookies themselves were incredibly decadent and delicious and I has plenty to share with friends. I highly recommend eating them warm if possible. At $10, 4 large cookies is quite a good deal! So in summary, this place gets a 5 star for the product with -1 star for the customer experience. Not a place to go into without doing your research.

Yelp
Some pretty damn good cookies. Better than crumbl in my opinion as it is not too sweet.

Yelp
First one of the cleanest restaurants I've ever been in. Very noticeable how pristine everything was and that was at 1:45AM. The chocolate chip cookies were pure magic. Huge, thick cookies that were incredibly special. So thankful they had milk to buy as well. Do yourself a favor and stop in you'll only be upset you didn't buy more!!!

Immediately after walking into this place, you can smell the sugary goodness of fresh baked cookies!! They have a few options, about 6. I ordered the mint cookie. It was ~$4 per cookie, but they're huge! I couldn't finish mine. It was heavy on the mint flavor, I wish I had gotten the original. The cookie recipe itself is amazing and they slightly undercook the center. It has a great texture!
