The food (Steak bowls with the works) was delicious!!! I don’t have any feedback regarding “service” or “atmosphere” because we didn’t order in person. The food was fresh and presented nicely and the Coke bottles that came with it were the old-fashioned glass ones (nice touch!)

I’ve loved Chipotle ever since I moved here from Boston. But this is the second time I’ve encountered something like this. Yesterday, my wife and I went to eat. We ordered bowls, and the employee gave us two tiny kid-sized portions, using side cups for everything. I was confused, but they told me everything was fine. But I know it wasn’t fine. I didn’t want to argue. And when we sat down to eat, an employee sat behind me. My wife suddenly burst out laughing. I asked her what happened, and she said, “Did you see his bowl?” I turned around and saw that food was literally falling out of his bowl — lol 😂. My wife even asked me to take a picture, but I didn’t, out of respect for boundaries. Still, it was genuinely funny. Please check how your staff is working and how the kitchen is operating. I really don’t want to keep spending money on nothing.

I made a purchase at Chipote today where the service was the worst I have ever received in my entire life. I ask the young woman who is serving me who the supervisor is, she tells me that it is her, I ask her what her name is and she tells me that if Chipotle wanted customers to know the names of the employees I would put it there and she didn't want to give me her name. I think was ibis I don't understand, she is Hispanic, I am Hispanic. Why do we Hispanics have to treat Hispanics so badly?

I’ve been a loyal Chipotle customer for over 17 years and even worked there during college, so I know the standard of service and food quality expected. On June 19, 2025, between 1:30–1:45 PM, at the Citrus Park Mall location (7002 Gunn Hwy), my family and I experienced the most disappointing and disrespectful encounter yet. My brother, who just returned from serving the United States in one of the most dangerous regions in the world, politely asked for plain white rice because cilantro tastes like soap to him—a common and legitimate sensitivity. The employee falsely claimed they didn’t have plain rice, despite my own knowledge as a former Chipotle employee that plain rice is always stored separately. When we respectfully pointed this out, the staff continued to deny it, and the general manager, David Santiago, rudely refused in front of other customers. This is unacceptable behavior for any restaurant, let alone one that prides itself on hospitality. After 17 years of loyalty, I will not be returning.

This was the WORST Chipotle experience ever. I visited the location by Citrus Park Mall on December 1st and was extremely disappointed. I ordered a build-your-own bowl smoked brisket kid's meal for my daughter, but it came with everything except the smoked brisket. On top of that, they charged me extra for every side, including lettuce! I ended up paying over $10 for what was essentially a vegetarian kid's meal. This location used to be great, but it’s definitely going downhill. While it’s in a convenient spot, the food and service are absolutely 0 stars. I won’t be coming back unless serious improvements are made.

I asked for a bowl to go, and with a brand new fresh batch of rice, this girl scooped the bottom and i mean the crunchy old rice at the BOTTOM of an old container. I asked for a new bowl and after making a big deal about it, they took that bowl to the back, brought it back out and said she made me another one fresh. It was the same bowl. I’m sure they did something to it. I walked out with my bowl half made. Do not come to this chipotle.

Beware: This Citrus Park Chipotle is the most stingy when it comes to portions. They use side cups to measure the steak & all other protein instead of the standard scoop. I complained to corporate before, and they briefly went back to using the scoop, but it only lasted a few weeks. Now, they’ve switched back to the side cup, which gives less than half the portion you’d get with the scoop. If you want to spend $15 for 6-8 pieces of steak then be my guest and go there! See attached picture.

It looks like this Chipotle has a pretty rough history but..maybe things are turning around? Chipotle is one of those rare chains I always go to. We don't have them up in Alaska and I have an unhealthy amount of nostalgia eating bigger-than-a-baby burritos in college at the University of Florida. I often find myself grabbing one when I'm in the lower 48. Everything here went pretty smooth. My burrito was so FAT. It was so fat they could barely get their hands around it to seal it up. I love that. That's what I miss up here in Alaska, with these dinky Qdoba burritos.

Visited this chipotle for a quick dinner and it was disappointing and gross inside. Literally no clean tables every single one was dirty. 1 employee making the food at the line and refilling the containers. Super slow when there was about 10 employees total not really sure what everyone else was doing other than just chatting. This location needs a manager or something because it was definitely the worst chipotle I've been to! If the restaurant was this dirty and under maintained I can imagine how they keep the kitchen! This will def be my last visit to this chipotle location. They need an inspection because I'm sure this location is not up to code. Even the area where they make the bowls and entrees food and toppings everywhere and not wiped off once. Overall this place NASTY!

There are so many amazing non-corporate Mexican restaurants in the Tampa area, that I rarely eat at a Mexican chain restaurant. However, it was past lunch time, and I wanted to grab a quick bite, so I thought I would give this Chipotle a try. HUGE mistake. It was terrible! I walked in, and right up to the counter. Ordered 3 chicken hard shell tacos to eat in. After they put maybe an ounce of chicken in each one, I topped it with fajita vegetables, corn, and pico de gallo. That's it. I also got a cup for water (thank goodness!). Sat at a table, took my first bite, and almost spit it out. It was like eating a stick of salt. Huge gulp of water. Maybe my taste buds are too sensitive, I thought, took another bite - nope, still like eating a salt lick. Thankfully the table next to me complained to some random worker walking by that their food was inedible, and they thought it was due to the fajita vegetables being too salty. I didn't stick around, but dumped my remaining tacos and left. There was clearly no one quality checking the food at this location, which makes me wonder what other important, food safety steps are being bypassed.

3.5 stars! Although I recommend this specific location of Chipotle, I find the price for a side taco absolutely ridiculous. $3.12. Really? I've never been charged to get a side of soft taco shells before tonight. Just think that's steep. But it is what it is...I think the young cashier could have been new to the company because she seemed unfamiliar with a few things. But we've all been new so No complaints, just observations. We ordered ahead so our food would be ready when we arrived. Portions were generous. Food was warm. Nothing was left out or forgetter, yay! They had a short line that moved rather quickly. Parking wasn't an issue (we went around 2000 on a Friday night). Overall, the restaurant looked clean, trash probably needed to be emptied an hour earlier.

Every single time that I give this location another try, I feel silly for giving it another go. Staff is rude, I was sitting next to a couple who simply asked for more salt, nothing fancy and the berating that they got from employee for simply asking for a common item, it was just baffling. This location is always out of normal menu items, the staff all clearly dislike their jobs , that is clearly evident given the lack of basic hospitality, common courtesy and let's not even get started on the disgusting tables and bathroom. Please drive to your next closest chipotle, avoid this one, you'll be glad you did.

It was my first time at chipotle and the woman taking my order was very pushy and stressful as i tried to order and i felt that it hindered my ability to order what i wanted, and it wasn't as if there was very long line either. I tried to be as clear as possible but she seemed inconsiderate of me because i didn't have it memorized :(.

I am thankful you have opened opportunities for multicultural individuals. I am Puerto Rican and Spanish is my native language. My visit to this location was disappointing. No one there except one person spoke enough English to barely understand us. I was just asking if they still had cauliflower rice as an option to burrito bowls (something you DID offer at one point). She called for her manager from the back who barely spoke English. I told the girl what it was in Spanish. She behaved as though I had three heads. Pretty unbelievable. I ,then, asked her about the sofrito or whatever she called it, next to the beans. She didn't know what that was either... as in what it had in it. I moved on, checked out, dined in, cleaned off my own table at a restaurant that was barely busy. I returned to the soda fountain for ice and took an opportunity to let the guy who spoke the best English there that the hand sanitizer was not working. Shockingly, he said, "Yes, it does." I showed him it was NOT working and then he pointed to another one at the entrance and said, "That one over there does." I wanted to hear something like, "Thank you for letting us know. I will refill it it, but we have another one over there by the door." Note: this is the same guy who gave us the receipt and asked us to complete the survey I completed after my experience. I would be embarrassed to say I worked there and will not be returning.

Trash... gotten food from here via the app three different occasions. The last time gave me assurance to never eat from there again. I ordered a steak burrito with black beans, cheese, sour cream, veggies and salsa. Upon opening burrito from the foil there was sour cream everywhere, not that big of a deal BUT there wasn't any INSIDE the burrito. The middle of the burrito was PURE CHEESE. No beans, no meat, no salsa... just a giant handful of cheese. The chips were stale, the queso was bland and THICCCCCCCC but not in the good way. The texture was comparable to hummus. Place is trash 0/10 would not recommend

This location is always a misfire for me. I have tried several times for a better food experience and it is always an epic fail! I am not sure what it is, but everytime that I have come in the evenings, this store is constantly out of food, tortillas, meat, or chips. I usually order a kids portion that runs me $5 to $10 depending on who is behind the register. My price has never been consistent. And when I mentioned it , they said they charge for cheese or guacamole, it's frustrating .

I wish I could zero stores. This store is awful. When I walked in to place my order and heard customers complaining about their order, I should have left. My chips were stale. When I came back in to complain, another customer was complaining about the same thing. The two employees behind the counter looked high AF!! I am not judging but if being high is keeping you from handling your business DONT do it. I usually go to the Chipotle further away because this is not the first time this location did me dirty. But today, I didnt feel like making the extra drive. I will never make that mistake again. STAY AWAY from this location. Its awful.

Me and my friends went to chipotle today got are food and then our card declined once and the guy checking us out started giving us dirty looks and was impatient until our card approved and then when we got home we started eating and then we found hair in our bowls and we were disgusted we waste almost 20 dollars each of us to have to throw it away. Worst Chipotle in the world. Consistently makes you never want to eat chipotle again. I read a handful of the other reviews before posting because I wanted to see what the general consensus is and it's pretty much all in line. The food is trash and the service is like hanging out with 8 high school kids gossiping while you're standing around like you don't exist... then when you go to order they are out of all of the food you want. We have tried several times to change to our impression of this Chipotle simply because it's a mile from our house but nope, every time makes the fire inside burn brighter with hatred. Do yourself a favor and go to the chipotle on Dale Mabry.

Worst chipotle in the world! Maybe an overstatement, but they are pretty bad. Doesn't matter if you order ahead or stop by something will be wrong. I DoorDash and Uber eat deliver on the weekends and picking up here is a nightmare. Never ready on time. Whenever I want chipotle I'll drive 10 min extra to go to another chipotle location. This store needs help!

Been coming to Chipotle for a decade but this one always has issues and I'll drive an extra 15 mins to go to a different one. Been like this for at least 3+ years because that's how long I tend to avoid this one. For example the other day I asked for a gluten free / celiac friendly burrito bowl. Something any chipotle can do no problem, they just switch gloves and have one person make the entire order and use a new shredded cheese. This place gave me attitude about it, and it seemed no one knew how to do it, and they seemed really put out and annoyed. Also, this place is also filthy. Piles of trash around, tables have leftover food or crumbs, condiment station is borderline untouchable, dirty glass display etc. Even to get my food, seems like it takes 10-15 mins even when no one is in line there. Seems like it's run by a group of preteens or something based on my personal experience over the years ‍

Been eating at chipotle for over 12years and this store consistently makes me want to boycott chipotle. Ordering here drains my happiness and hope in the world, and its just fast food, but somehow they always manage to disappoint even with my already low expectations of this store. Soooo mannyyyy incorrect orders and unfathomable wait times, even when being the only customer in the store surrounded by eight 17-22 year olds. Go to the store on N Dale Mabry, its like visiting the glory days of chipotle where the ecosystem functions properly

The reviews are very consistent and spot on. The service here is usually pretty terrible. Most of the employees are usually high school students who could care less about customer service or actually getting the order right. I rarely come to this location for that reason. And today was no different. Chipotle still has a special place for me even though this location does not represent them very well .

I'll start with saying my burrito was good. After that, they did not have correct change to give back after providing a $20 bill. 82 cents to be exact. Ok, not a big deal. The tables and the floor were dirty. It should be noted the place was empty. The chips were stale. Was provided with another bag. Those were stale, too. Was told all the chips were "made at the same time". There are plenty of other burrito spots. I'll pass on this one in the future.

My father ordered our food online and the order went through. I went to go pick it up. When I got into the restaurant, I saw a DISGUSTING table with someone else's food crumbs on the table. The service while I was in there was appalling, I saw a man and a woman chit chatting and another man who looked like that he didn't want to be there. When I asked him a question, it sounded like he had a little bit of an attitude. The food was boarder line SPICY and a bit OVERCOOKED! On one of my tacos, I found a LABEL on my food! DISGUSTING! Never going there AGAIN! Somebody call and fetch the Department of Health, it's disgusting in there!

Who would've thought they could get EVERYTHING wrong? I walk in to this guy who's measuring the temperature of the food, (everything was cold) and rather than greeting me, he walks off the the side behind a wall while he waits for this new hire to come take my order. I understand maybe it's not your job to take orders at the moment, but you could at least welcome me and say that someone will help me out shortly. The new hire who takes my order clearly isn't trained well enough. She didn't ask if I wanted any beans, she didn't know what sofritas were, waited until we were half way done to ask me if I wanted my order for-here or to-go, and gave me the smallest portion sizes I've ever received at a Chipotle. But it doesn't stop there. The girl at the register rings me up without asking if I wanted a drink, gives me to wrong change, and when she rang me up for the drink in a separate transaction, she gave me extra coins and the wrong change again! Still not done. I'm eager to finally be leaving this wreck so I head out the door with wha I thought was an unsweet tea, only to realize half way down the road the they had put sweet tea in the unsweet tea dispenser. Whoever is in charge needs to pay a visit to see how much of a disaster the evening shifts at this location truly are. The management at this location is severely lacking.

This location is frustrating. I've never been a cult follower of Chipotle however there are times I just want a quick bowl and chips and queso. The employees are young and most could care less if you patronage the business. The drink station is always a mess. I've had times the queso was cold and chips were stale. Why do I keep going back? It's convenient to where I work. This location needs to step ups it's game.

I love Chipotle but one store is awful. Store 101. If I could put 0 stars I would. The first time I went there they had no meat at all. The second time my quesadilla was not cooked at all and there was no ice. The third time they had one drink available which was coke, the coke had no carbonation and tasted funny. I love Chipotle and usually always have a good experience but at this location I never do. Hey store 101. Fire your manager and get someone who can actually run your location.

Horrible lunch experience. Served the new Chicken asada to me with crumbles of the remains of chicken which was dry. Had no lettuce, no corn salsa, and no watermelon limeade. The restaurant was dirty, with food on the tables and on the floor. Also witnessed another unsatisfied customer who was complaining about the quality of the food.

We always come to this location & unfortunately we aren't surprised with what will experience. 06/15/2023 there was one person working the line while the waiting line to get food was out the door. The other employees were walking in from the kitchen to where the to go shelf's are and would look at the line and walk back to the kitchen. I've worked in the food industry for a long time and when you see how back up it is you should have common sense to help your coworkers. Yes, I understand there must be much prep to be done but it would definitely run smoother if the "team" would work together to get the line moving. We also had an incident happen a couple months back where an employee took care of their friends order and provided them one of the toppings in bulk he went to the back and grabbed more of what was asked for. When it was our turn we asked for the topping as well on our meal and he stated there was none left despite him just then and there going to the back and obtaining what his friend had literally JUST requested. He saw how we reacted when he said no after we had just watched him go to the back for a requested item and that's when he went back to get what we had asked for. There has to be some kind of management to to help the team. This location seems like none of the workers want to be there and give a "whatever attitude".

Came here yesterday for dinner and the line was not moving, an hour passes and the poor workers are so understaffed. Also there's not enough food. One of the workers sprinkled 4 strands of cheese on a burrito and scooped a half ladle of queso into a large queso cup (it takes 5 scoops to fill the cup usually, for reference) Instead of taking away the old rice or other food the worker just kept putting new food on top of it so you just end up eating older/not fresh food. Multiple people ended up leaving the line and in the end we ended up leaving too. Chipotle- get it together! Pay your workers more so they actually will put an effort in their job. This is the worst Chipotle.

Wish I had read the reviews on this location before spending a cent here. My wife picked up 2 bowls and neither of us could eat them. Tried seasoning with salt and other condiments to no avail. Literally threw them away. The steak was like shoe leather and no flavor, the chicken was the same. Horrible experience, STAY AWAY!!

Giving this place 3 stars only because the staff is so kind and always gives good service. As far as the food goes, it could be a lot better. Used to eat here quite frequently but lately every time I get a chicken bowl, I get some kind of food poisoning. I thought maybe my body can't tolerate chicken bowls anymore so I tried it at the dale mabry location and was fine, so not really sure if the products at this location are kept fresh or if it's just a coincidence.

Please don't let this Chipotle ruin it for you... For some reason Citrus Park hasn't been able to maintain their groove. They're sloppy, and make rookie mistakes. The last time I stopped by I had to wait 25 minutes for them to cook peppers. The bin had been empty for quite a few customers ahead of me. So, instead of starting them when it was close to being empty, they waited for a customer to ask for them. They only cooked 1 pan, which is enough for half a refill. While waiting, I let customers bypass me in line. One of them caught wind that they were cooking peppers, and waited for them after I let him pass. He asked for extra on all 3 of his orders, leaving me the rest of them. I got plenty on both of my orders, but just like that, they were out of peppers again. I think if anything runs out every 5 burritos, the obvious approach is to cook more. I'd say 9 out of 10 visits were slow and frustrating. This is a centralized location that can get busy real fast. They need people who know what they're doing. I'd rather drive to any other location at this point.

Employees were rude, very slow, and the lady who rang me up lied to my face. I asked for a large chips, I paid, and she filled up less than half a bag (at that point might as well have gotten regular) and when I asked her because I just saw her do it, she gave me attitude saying it's filled all the way to the top, and just went to the beginning of the line. I'm telling you I'm pretty sure there are more chips in a regular one then this supposed "large" she gave me. Terrible chipotle, you're better off buying ingredients at your local publix and serving yourself better portions.

I order here like once a week ish. When it's good, it's great. When it's not it's terrible. Consistency would be amazing, but I guess it's dependent on who is working. The good: MOST of the time my double chicken looks double chicken-y. The fajita veggies are usually abundant unlike a lot of Chipotle's I have ordered from. My order is usually ready when I arrive (I always order to go on the app). The bad: the staff is usually pretty cranky. I try not to ask for anything. I try to just grab my bag and leave, but yesterday for example I go in and my order isn't ready. The kid working looks at me and condescendingly asks if the bag on the shelf is mine. No bro, my last name starts with an L and a little bag won't fit my order. Anyways. The unnecessary attitudes are what gets me at this location. If I wanted attitude, I have two teenagers at home. I could try to approach one of them for free. I'm paying you to be nice to me.

Nasty. Rude people. Soggy food. My saving grace was that their Apple Pay wasn't working. Great me from food poisoning I'm sure lol not good. This is the worst location I've been to in America (I've been some po-dunk spots) Try at your own risk.

HE SHOULD BE FIRED!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE THE SERVICE I RECEIVED THERE! I stood in line for 10 minutes, and when I went to order they told me they were out of steak and it would be 10 minutes. While I am waiting, I see another person go to order a quesadilla, and was told she had to order it online, when she went to go order it online, the website said it was down. Instead of working with her, he just said "oh well" and when she asked to speak with a manager, HE WAS THE MANAGER. While waiting, I saw FOUR people go to order the steak, and after a condescending sassy response from him, THEY ALL LEFT TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. After OVER 10 minutes of waiting for the steak, I asked if it was ready and his response? "It will be ready when its ready, if you don't want to wait, you can go somewhere else." YES, THAT IS CORRECT! THAT WAS A MANAGERS RESPONSE TO ME!!! Another girl (who was also waiting for the steak) quickly came to my side and said we have all been waiting here over 10 minutes, which is how long you said it would take, it is lunch rush hour and this is completely ridiculous. Now, a decent manager would just say "you're right, it is taking a little longer than expected, here is some free queso while you wait". Instead, this boy goes to yell at us!!! As you can see in the attached picture where he starts raising his hands and getting loud and defensive with us! We both ended up leaving after that altercation because to be spoken so rudely to by a manager is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. I had to drive 10 minutes away to another Chipotle, wait in another 15 minute line, and when I got to the front I asked to speak with their manager on how to report him (from the other store) to headquarters. She politely explained that they are over-worked, under-staffed, (and I also know that they are under-paid). She apologized for his behavior and gave me my meals for free. She was a saving grace in what is becoming a terrible institution. PLEASE FIRE THIS MANAGER! In the 20 minutes I was there he lost SO MANY CUSTOMERS completely based on his rude, condescending, arrogant behavior. HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE A MANAGER. THERE IS NO TRAINING OR DEMOTION THAT WILL EVER SOLVE SOMEONE WITH HIS TYPE OF PERSONALITY.

Probably the worst Chipotle ever. Extremely rude staff, always a super long wait, never clean and to top it off they are always out of everything. It's ridiculous. Don't waste your time going to this location.

this is the sloppiest chipotle I've been to. the staff was slow...........I saw people just standing in the back when the lobby was full. this one lady at the front (who was the only one actually working) was so sweet. everyone else didn't seem to care there was customers. the line was messy and looked gross. the guacamole was browning. the queso looked old. there was no ice... an overall hot mess.

This is probably the worst chipotle on the face of the planet. I think I have 1/ out 10 correct pick up orders. They either are missing something or something is cooked incorrectly (hard rice). I placed an order for a bowl with the new brisket and there were literally 3 pieces of brisket in my bowl. Chipotle did refund me, but was super disappointing to not be able to try the brisket. I guess I should learn I need to stop placing pick up orders and go through the line to micromanage the making of my food. Clearly based on past reviews, this location needs some serious help.

NEVER and I mean NEVER order online I have twice and it's literally the most disrespectful thing ever! They just assume since you're takeout that you won't check before you leave so they always do a shitty job! I've gone back in for them to redo my order and when I walk in they just look at me and ask "oh we're you an online order? " so they already know they did a shitty job before I had to say anything truly and utterly disrespectful. They give no regards to the money people are paying. If you want good service I suggest you go in person and watch them prepare your food. If you want online because you're in a hurry I suggest you try a different location

I don't know what to say about Chipotle, because until a couple of months ago I never ate there, but now I eat there every week. I usually go to the location that I'm reviewing because I forget they built one closer to me. Maybe subconsciously I like this location better. I have never had an issue with food. I love the sofritas burrito and the queso is stellar as well. The food is always fresh and delicious. The portion sizes are gigantic as well. You definitely should eat here if you haven't. Make sure you get a side of queso!!!!
