Chipotle Rolls Out New Rewards Program | Eater

"Launching a pilot in Kansas City, Phoenix, and Columbus, Ohio (with a planned nationwide rollout in 2019), the chain has introduced a digital-only rewards program that awards 10 points per dollar spent (1,250 points = one free entrée) and temporarily gives 15 points per dollar for orders placed via the app or website; new members in the three test cities also receive a free order of chips and guacamole after their first purchase. The program reinforces the brand’s push toward web and mobile ordering (sign-up is via app or site rather than a paper punch card) and follows earlier loyalty attempts such as a 2016 promotion. At the standard rate it requires about $125 of spending to earn a free burrito or bowl ($83 if using the 15-points promotional rate), which is less attractive value-wise than competitors like Starbucks (2 points/$; 125 points ≈ $62.50 to a free item) and Chick-fil-A (10 points/$; 500 points ≈ $50 to a free sandwich). Given ongoing food-safety troubles — including E. coli and norovirus outbreaks since 2015, a major August incident that sickened over 600 people in Ohio, a companywide retraining effort, and recent leadership changes such as hiring Brian Niccol as CEO — the loyalty program may appeal to devoted fans but is unlikely on its own to win back customers deterred by safety concerns." - Whitney Filloon

I live right by this chipotle. Tell me why there’s a video surfacing on Facebook from this chipotle of this employee, eating chicken from the counter with the gloves on and then not even throwing the gloves away and he’s eating this chicken over the open chicken container. This is disgusting. I will not ever be returning to this location. EWWW

Warning! Never order online without seeing what you're actually getting. The container was only half full, there were just five tiny pieces of chicken, and the avocado was completely brown and oxidized. Total disrespect to the customer. Demand quality for your money!

Placed a mobile order, said it’ll be ready at 1:30pm. Great right in time for lunch break, arrive there at drive thru 1:37 , told the guy my name & Spelled it!!! (Important for later) & the gentleman stated they’re finishing up on it. That’s cool, I work retail I know it gets busy at times.. 1:45 lady opens the window & says I’ll get working on yours in a minute ma’am. Now I’m a little angry, I thought you guys been working on it??? What’s the issue, 1:47 hits still nothing, so I ask for a refund. Manager comes to the window & says oh it’s been ready right here, why do you need a refund? I stated the first two people said it wasn’t that’s why & I now just wasted my lunch break going back & forth with you guys. She states I have a hard name & he must’ve not noticed it. IM AWARE OF MY NAME, exactly why I SPELLED IT, SAID IT & SHOWED MY CONFIRMATION. Long story short stay far away from this location. I stopped eating here when they first opened because of the customer service, tried them again to give them a benefit of doubt. & still horrible!!!

Driving through the area and was happy to see a chipotle.. Wow. Worst chipotle serving sizes I’ve ever seen. Spent way too much money on this “salad” containing 10 strips of lettuce and a “Large” guacamole not even filled all the way?? Prices of items shown.. Won’t return, don’t recommend..

Picked up my mobile app order from the South High location around 9:12pm tonight, 03/11/24 since it was scheduled to be ready at 9:10pm. I pulled up to the drive-thru lane window and I could hear the chime/bell go off letting the employee know that I arrived. I sat there watching all of but two employees, the two were cooking, while the others were joking around at the prep/serving area. I waited and waited until I got tired of waiting and had to honk my car horn to get one of their attention; I then received my order and I felt that the bag was extremely light considering that I ordered double meat, extra rice, pinto beans, mild salsa, cheese and sour cream. So I parked the car and looked at the bowl and it barely had a full portion of barbacoa or rice (see pictures). I went into the store and let the gentleman at the register know about it and he checked the bowl; he apologized after looking at it, then closed it back up. A young lady working next to him asked if she should remake the bowl and he said no. He then proceeded over to the prep/serving area and pulled out the near empty container that the barbacoa was in and proceeded to put the remaining scraps of meat into a plastic cup, like what they use for the salsa, then gave me back the bowl they originally gave me, plus the cup of scraps of barbacoa, even though he put out a full container of fresh barbacoa. I don't know if this is how management at this location trains their employees, if so then no wonder why the low rating. I honestly can't believe I paid over $15 for this bowl. I asked the gentleman for the owner's name and contact information, but he said there isn't an owner; then gave me the manager's business card. I wrote an email similar to this post letting her know about this, but I doubt anything will ever happen because from what I was told by another customer in the store/location tonight, he stated that he reported issues before but that management doesn't care and will continue to allow this to be the norm. Wish that someone from corporate would look into how this location is making their restaurant/brand look.

I drive from Grove City to this one. This one is always clean, I see them do it, They temp the food and I have seen them do it. Does it slow things down at times, yes be patient and respectful. They will give you good fresh food and the amount you should be getting. Unlike Grove City, both locations, food not fresh, always dirty. They give you under the amount of food, because they don't want to make more. Facts I weigh the meat alone from Grove City it was 1.6oz on a burrito with video. The employee are rude and careless, go there try them before you clmplakn here.This place is awesome I always tell them when I come in, respect them they are doing there Jobs 👍 and right.

This chipotle sucks. How is it that every time I go to get the honey chicken. Your out! I've been here three times! That's false advertising no matter how many excuses you have why your out. I remember when burritos were $5. Whatever happened to those prices. Because that's all they are worth anyway. I will never spend another dime at this location. P.s. pay your employees more maybe they will keep the customer happy! 🎤 Drop!

i am beyond ticked off, i come here all the time and i ordered through the app a bowl with steak (and i used my points on the app for extra steak) well not only did i NOT get extra steak… i didnt get any at all. i tried to call and it gave me a robot that did not help at all. i dont understand how you just forget the protein part of a bowl. i then complained to pepper (the virtual assistant) and she did not help either. i didn’t get my points back and my bowl still does not have freaking steak.

Very good, my bowl was stuffed to the max! I got steak with white rice. Everything was fresh. I was only able to eat about one-third of it, but the bowl still looks full. Also, had the lemonade it was not too sweet, which is great. Took one star because the chips were a little overcooked.

Bug (beetle) was in my food and they blamed it on the fact that i was sitting outside, but the bug was already dead, missing a limb and at the bottom of my bowl. No refund was given by the very rude manager.

Painfully slow service. Seen 5 employees but only one making orders. 2 others cleaning, one playing on his phone, and one waiting to ring up the orders. Wanted to try the new carna asada. The menu board makes it look so inviting. But when you see the dried up dark chunks in the pan it makes you change your mind. They were out of white rice, seriously? And the lettuce was swimming in a liquid that looked like Nickelodeon slime. The sour cream had something kinda chunky mixed in as well. Aside from that I was able to find some decent looking ingredients and make a bowl that would get good in my belly. Probably won't be back. Good luck!

The carne asada steak should be a permanent menu option. So bomb. Better in the bowl than the burrito. This location is everything I want out of a chipotle. Got our food super fast. Was a joy eating outside on the patio. Can't ask for much more.

We frequent this chipotle and we love it! We almost always place an online order and use the drive through but there's one woman working in there almost every day and she has that place running smooth as butter. I'm not sure her name but the lovely Hispanic woman in around her 30's is an angel! She knows my boyfriend and I by name and we can guarantee our order is right when she's there. Even if she's not the one on the window she will tell her coworkers which regular just rolled up and make sure they're taken care of. If she's not a manager she needs to be!!

I have never been told I can not get items on my bowl or get chips and guacamole ordered. I can see the items on shelf and in the containers but was told I could not have them, when ask why, I was told they have to save for online orders bc they can't make anymore. I walked out with the food left on counter because this is crazy, you have a paying customer and you refuse items for unknown future online orders. This was at 4pm on a Saturday, Never again will I go to Chipotle's!! Very rude, unclean environment and staff. I should of known better then to stop, now one of my favorite places turns my stomach.

They have roaches...watched one crawl right across the food prep area while staff continued to prepare and serve food and said nothing. It was both terrifying and hilarious. Myself and the woman behind me quickly made an exit. Do not eat here.

Nothing nice to say. I pay for my food I should get it how I want. If I want my bowl over the top leaking out it's mine. I shouldn't have employees making faces and being rude as hell because I wanted extra sides. I have never been treated like this in a chipotle both grown ass employees too. Like seriously will never return. I paid $40 for two meals I should get them how I want. It's unacceptable.

Out of desperation we decided to do the drive through because the lobby has been closed randomly lately. We set the pick up time for 4. It is now 4:10, we are still waiting. They hadn't even made it with ample time to do so. Then after honking the horn 3 times to get someone's attention, they began making the order. Only to "accidentally drop" all of the tacos on the floor and start over. I am honestly shocked that anyone can be this incompetent. Someone from corporate needs to straighten these people out.

Worst Chipotle I have ever been too. Ordered a steak bowl with white rice, tomatoes, black beans and cheese. Very skimpy on everything other than the rice and when I say very skimpy; I do mean VERY skimpy. Girl who prepared the steak bowl was wearing gloves; but after handling the food, she handled my cash and prepared the next order after me, without changing the gloves. Seriously? With the Covid pandemic? Where is the proper sanitation? Will NEVER go to this location again and I would not recommend this location to my worst enemy.
