I used to go to Chipotle all the time, before The Troubles. I stopped for awhile, then when I was ready to go back, Sweetie refused to. So it has been a year or two since I had Chipotle. I satisfied my occasional burrito cravings at Moe's or Hot Heads.
Yesterday was a fundraising day for the Columbus library- Chipotle donated half your purchase price to CML. This is probably the closest to us (except campus, and no thanks when the kids are there.) So, I ran up here to grab lunch and help out. It is conveniently located near the southeast corner of Easton, near parking lots. Of course, Easton is crazy no matter when you go. Weekends are nuts, but a Wednesday at 130pm still had lots of traffic and pedestrians, and parking was tight.
The store is good-sized, and there's a nice patio. Service was great; several people helped at the counter. There was a steady stream, but no real wait. I got Sweetie her usual chicken/rice/mild/cheese burrito, and she liked it. I had steak with brown rice, black beans, corn salsa, guacamole, and some of their new queso with chips. The burrito was smaller than I remember, but I could be wrong. The steak was seasoned and pretty good, a bit tough. The veggies were fresh and tasty, and the whole thing was a nice combination. Held together in the foil, fell apart when I took it off. Oh, well. The chips are thick, tough enough for dipping. The queso, a small, was a tiny portion for the money, and was pasty and just not very good.
Not bad; a little pricey for the quality and portions. Not good enough for me to go "man, I missed this!" But, maybe we'll do it again someday.
