"After naming Brian Niccol — a marketing and innovation veteran recruited from Taco Bell — as its new CEO, the chain hopes to revive its fortunes following a series of food-safety crises. Founder Steve Ells stepped down as CEO and will move to executive chairman. Since fall 2015, E. coli and norovirus outbreaks sickened dozens and prompted numerous lawsuits, driving profits down roughly 95% in 2016. It's unfortunate that the Compton location Chipotle, I visit 2x this week left me astonished. Its was such an unpleasant and unsanitary experience not just for me, but for all customers. I can't afford to live in Orange County or environments where grocery stores and fast food establishments take pride in the service, accuracy, and cleanliness. However, I can ensure you that this will be my last visit at the restaurant. I can understand low on products because of "productivity" 💰💰💰💰 from a busy day. But the team member informed their out of rice and steak because they have been slow all day. Ok 🫡 I can respect their culture and policy and business ethic, when their slow they don't PREPARE FOR RUSHES and they have the mindset because their "SLOW" their NEVER going to get any more customers. So let's hang out and stay on the payroll, while the governor of Los Angeles increased the pay for fast food workers to $20 hr. Let's stay on the clock and while it's slow, we won't prepare for a rush OR CLEAN THE RESTAURANT. 😯🙄 Take a look at the following pics I have included. Its unfortunate they hire men and women from the Community, GHETTO LOS ANGELES AND GHETTO COMPTON, WHO GET HIRED AS MANAGEMENT. 😞🙄 AND DONT UNDERSTAND THE BUSINESS ASPECT OF THE RESTAURANT. I appreciate the customer service I was greeted with smiles. When I place the order I was told that it wasn't available at the moment and I was told it'll be about 10 minutes. All in all, the experience was a great, I appreciate the customer service and I appreciate the smiles. The team were calm and everybody was trying to work together. Nobody arguing, nobody yelling. Everybody was chill. Will definitely come back 😁

WORST CHIPOTLE EVER..!! The steak smelled like blood, undercooked and chewy! The CHIPS were soft and NOT seasoned with lime or salt 😭😭😭 The salad was brown, and old. Awful. Waste of $30 We went at 3:30pm on Sunday March 16th.... Dirty facility. I love chipotle but now this one.

Came by on a Thursday afternoon. The place wasn't busy, but as soon as my wife and I walked in, I noticed all the tables in the place were dirty. There were 1 or 2 people ahead of us, and the line moved quickly. We placed our order, and I ordered a chicken bowl. The young man that was making it wasn't the friendliest. especially when I asked for a little more chicken. He only poured 1 spoon of chicken that didn't even look full. So I asked if he could put a little more. It is called a chicken bowl, but they put two scoops of rice and beans and only 1 of chicken. Anyhow, right away, he says he would have to charge me for double meat with a little attitude. I said, "Really, it's coming out of your paycheck if you add a little more. He wasn't having it, so I let it go. We paid for our order and I asked for the manager. I asked a young man who looked like he was giving orders if he was the manager, and he replied yes. I asked him if he could please have someone clean a table for us because we wanted to eat there and all the tables were dirty. He said he would send someone. Keep in mind there were about 6 or 7 people there and only two making food and one at cashier. We went and got our drink and finally another young man came out to clean the tables. He was half cleaning the tables, and everything on the tables was going to the ground. So we decided to just go eat outside. The food was OK, but this place didn't only look dirty it was dirty. Won't be returning to this location in a while. The employees also need to be a little friendlier. As a small business owner, I know it's not hard to do it.

I recently had an unpleasant experience at Chipotle that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. During my visit, I discovered that I had been overcharged for steak. What made the situation even more aggravating was the lack of clear communication from the staff—they failed to explain exactly what I was being charged for, leaving me confused about the additional cost. When I politely raised my concerns, instead of addressing the issue professionally, the staff seemed dismissive and attempted to gaslight me throughout the process. They acted as though the charges were standard and implied that I was mistaken, despite the clear discrepancy. This lack of accountability and transparency was both frustrating and disheartening. As a loyal customer, I expect better service, honest communication, and respectful treatment. This experience has significantly impacted my perception of Chipotle, and I hope management takes necessary steps to improve staff training and customer service protocols. Clear explanations and respectful interactions go a long way in maintaining customer trust and satisfaction. My visit was on 4/9/25 at 8:30pm PST

This location seem to always be out of something meat, cheese or crema. I went to get a Barbacoa bowl they were out of meat and refused to get some from the phone order side. Instead they wanted me to wait 25mins. My question is why are they running out at 6pm when they close late and what was my two little scoops of meat going to hurt if taken from the other side while they cook more? Someone is not making sure food is in rotation. The staff need more customer service skills. Everyone looks upset no greetings and all the tables were dirty. This review covers 3 separate occasions. Ordered on line. Get my bowl and there is literally a tablespoon amount of chicken. I go back in tall yo one young lady, she turns to another lady and tells her my issue. This lady turns around and says something to me with a blank stare. I ask her tonrepeat herself and she throws up a hand and say, what?, you want more meat?" I said said yes I paid for it. She tells me to go to line to get it but then reaches out for my bowl on my hand. I told her "I'll do it because your attitude is disgusting" and walked away. The African American male is at the line. I tell him my issue and he says, "you have to talk to my boss" I stated I did and she sent me down here. The boss ge is speaking is the rude one that was mad because I complained about my protein serving. She gives the okay for him to give me more, after he hands me the cup, I thank him and he turns his head and mumbles "Mmm". I just looked and walked out.I don't understand why they are do angry because I asked for what I paid for. And my food was cold when I picked it up. Seemed like it was sitting for at least 20+ minutes. Hope the service gets better.

If you've never been to Chipotle, get ready for awesome flavors and fresh ingredients that are surprisingly different from anything you'll find at other fast foods. They've got everything from steak to barbacoa to carnitas to veggie bowls, tacos, salads, and burritos, and you really can't go wrong with any of them. Today I got the veggie bowl, which is always piled high with whatever you order. I went with white rice, black beans, grilled veggies, corn, sour cream, and shredded cheese, all topped with a big scoop of fresh guacamole. It's so good, and included free with veggie bowls, which is a nice touch. The ingredients always taste super fresh and it feels more handcrafted than your typical chain food. If you're into burritos, their chicken burritos are massive, like seriously big, and they load them up with whatever you want. So if you're craving something filling and flavorful, Chipotle has you covered. Give the veggie bowl a try one of the burritos and see what hits your spot.

Overcharged here by the manager. Ordered chicken quesadilla with the chicken and rice on the side and was charged almost $5 more for my meal. Manager Refused to charge me for a honey chicken quesadilla instead charged as a cheese quesadilla with extra protein. When brought to her attention she said she is the manager and that is the way it goes. Tried to make sense of it and manager tried to convince us that all chipotles charge that way! No they do not liar, liar .... Rude not customer oriented facility.

Yeah the people who work here hate their job. Sauces to go are half filled in the container, their lettuce bin was frozen, and the drinks (like the aguas frescas were empty, didn't want it anyway tho.) The guy who rung me up was nice but the one who prepared it looked like he hated life and my food was a reflection of that.

Not a good experience at all! Walked in at 9 and yet there was no more chicken, steak, and guacamole! How can you be open till 11:00pm and not have the basics at all?! I would give this store some slack but being a former employee at a different chipotle and who also was a closer, we NEVER ran out of food ever! Let alone run out of food almost two hours before closing! It's just outrageous to me and it needs to be fixed!

Okay I came back.... I regret spending $70 on 4 meals & out of craving n convenience came back-NEvER again! Consistently terrible. My rice was HARd, almost broke a tooth filling, the meat was cold, and don't get me started on the others orders. Please do not come here. Management needs to know the quality is pooooor. I'll drive out further for better quality n better portions. This spot has been skimping before shrinkflation. Do better. Why are the people working there not taking pride in their work? They wouldn't eat this crap if they were paying for it.

Audrey was the food handler for my experience last night & an experience it was smh... She was very rude & when asked were they making any more of anything she said no because nah are closing in a hour. She advised they stop making the grilled veggies & a few other items (mind you it was 9 something & they close at 11) she then volunteered I can call corporate if I didn't like it (which was unbelievable that she would even say this) which also lets me know nothing will be done about the lack of customer service

Went with my brother today about 40 mins ago and man they didn't have any options almost as if they were ready to close. I thought they closed late like 11. This upsetting because what they have left was the stuff no one wanted throughout the day. It was all stale and dry. The quality was upsetting along with the service. I just left and didn't buy anything . Lost a regular!!!!

I come here quite often because it's the closest to me. However, the Sunday crew is the absolute worst. When I pick up , They never give me forks, vinegerette sauce, napkins but other locations do that for me. And once when I went to pick up my order , they had looked at me and ignored me while holding up my phone to pick it up. Get it together

Ordered a chicken burrito and got the works with the red sauce, red sauce is waaaaay too hot. Went back, brought my uneaten portion (which was basically the whole thing!) and it was replaced with a new less hot (spicy) burrito. Kudos for not giving me a hard time and the friendliness and ease of transaction. Great job Chipotle Compton!

Everytime I order through uber eats this location always gets my order wrong, it's been so many times that they've messed up my order that I didn't want uber eats thinking I kept doing it to get a refund. I went as a walk in customer and they have a bunch of rude workers and they all seem distracted. Won't be coming here again.

After several weeks, I finally tried the Keith_Lee hack. Keith is infamous on TikTok. It was delicious, but very messy to eat. The dipping sauce made it amazing. However, the real review is for the staff at Chipotle. You can only order this meal through the app, which I did. But when I picked up the order, so many things were missing, I went back in to speak to someone. The young lady could NOT have been nicer, accommodating and professional. She gave me all the things I asked for without a moments hesitation. While she was filling the bag, I realized I hadn't placed the order correctly, so the missing items were MY fault. I apologized profusely and she simply said, " No worries, you'll know next time." I didn't get her name, but I was there around1:40 on Sunday. Young lady, I truly appreciate you. And that corn was FIRE!

I literally sat down next to where I was in line to eat. No mask needed. Smh Strike two: this place was dirty, messy and ewwww Strike three: no guac! Strike four: my tortilla was kind of hard In conclusion, I didn't want to give less than 3 stars because my food was still good and I'd hate to give Compton a bad review. But y'all really gotta step it up. I probably won't be back to this location.

They are so stingy with the chicken. They added more rice than anything. The girl who wrapped my burrito did not know how to wrap at all and use an extra tortilla which i did not want. I use to HATE ordering from here because, 1) Chipotle, you need to have the option to order vinaigrette dressing on the DoorDash app, I have to CALL the store EVERY time just to get dressing; and 2) even after I called they still would forget to add the dressings to the bag. HOWEVER, in recent weeks, manager Silvia has been ONNNN it. Every time I call in (you still have to call, not Silvias fault though), Silvia says, "Vinaigrette dressings?", before I can even say anything. I seriously order from here like at least 3 times a week, every week. I stopped because it was too much of a hassle. Silvia has been the reason I started ordering from you all again consistently. Thank you Silvia. - Mr. "4 Vinaigrettes & 2 Cheese"

As a Chipotle lover, seasoning and food quality were above average at this location. I had a worker blatantly skim off some of the "higher priced" items like guacamole and protein. I would assume a spoonful portion would actually mean spoonful but glad this guy is down bad for corporate.

This is a very poorly run Chipotle. At first, it appears to be staffed with more than enough people to get the job done, but then you start to see how lackadaisical the staff works. All, if not most, Chipotles I have seen function as an assembly line when serving/preparing the food. Not here, however. At this location, one person does all the serving, so, needless to say, it was a long wait before you order. Another employee just waited at the cash register and looked around; I'm not sure why she didn't help her coworker. I saw some chopping from another employee which was almost ironic because they ran out of carne asada by the time I was ordering and that wasn't what was being chopped, so they said I would have to wait an additional ten minutes or so. I will give props to the one employee serving everyone because he was working hard. I can't say the same for the rest of his team who seemed to be doing the bare minimum to appear busy. Parking was easy since it was in a large complex. The food was good and as expected. I got a carnitas burrito (instead of carne asada) with double tortilla and double meat. Their watermelon limeade was not as good as I was expecting because it lacked the fresh taste I wanted, but I'm sure other people may enjoy it. I recommend going to another Chipotle since there is nothing different here in regards to the food; you will have a happier and more efficient experience elsewhere.

Tonight, 2/27/24 went into this location at about 6:30pm and they had a sign that stated "outage" meaning they didn't have a lot of items on their menu I ordered two bowls and they gave so little portions I had to ask for extra everything. I got barbacoa meat, beans, rice, cheese, veggies, corn and sour cream, they didn't have lettuce out of all things lettuce. They have such little portions and the price was still the same, High!!! They need to just close for the night if they don't have all or enough food. Who's the manager at this location? Honestly, yall need to do better. Everyone who went tonight should be comp'd for something.

Worst chipotle I have been to . Ordered tacos and it barely had anything on it . Might as well have ordered 3 tortillas to eat . Asked for cheese and sour cream. Had like hardly any cheese and no sour cream . Also ordered burrito with double meat ( half of the meat was not edible-so was a waste ) Would not go back to this location . I should have looked at yelp reviews before going here . Had to add stuff from home to actually make it taste better

This location takes FOREVER. They have 1 person serving the line and 1 person standing at the register. On top of that they don't even give you a full scoop of meat. The other employees see the line growing and don't help, just ignore it. Don't come here unless u wanna wait about 25 minutes in line.

So, I based on some of the previous reviews I wanted to have a sample size in order to write a review. This place is excellent! Johnathan and Bull provided me with outstanding customer service; one time in particular there was a scenario where a fresh batch of chicken was being made, and as they were informing customers, they were keeping us engaged by having small talk. This might not sound ideal, but for me it was great because that small talk and asking people what they wanted kept them all engaged to the point they all patiently waited for the chicken; they even asked if anyone wanted to substitute their meal with steak to avoid the 8-10 minute wait. Their ability to read the room and keep engaging customers was awesome to see, and how their professionalism resulted in no one leaving is an event I hope they both get recognition for.

I really never noticed this Chipotle had two stars . I took a long break from chipotle because this particular location gave me food poisoning my 12th grade year of high school & here i am back years later finding myself sick as a dog. I'm not sick when i go to other locations ONLY THIS ONE. Something is not adding up , just close it down already . They also need to do a better job at cleaning it always look like the place has been ran through .

If I could give a zero I would. I ordered this on Grubhub and when it got delivered I picked up the bag and it was way too light. I looked inside before the driver left and all that was inside the "burrito bowl" was a few chunks of chicken. Supposed to have rice, black beans, fajita veggies, sour cream, cheese, and guacamole. Obviously I contacted Grubhub but now they are closed and I have no lunch and have to work all night. I'm highly pissed. Don't order from them cause there's no way this was accidental.

Mannn...when I tell you this place (Chipotle Compton,Ca) is Can't Get Right in the form of healthier alternative eating, pleeease believe me. I love Chipotle as a franchise but this particular location is notorious for, dry meats, dried up vegies, and just not having the freshest toppings. I get that this is still better than other options, but if I'm comparing to other Chipotle locations, 4/10. And the whole online only quesadilla orders...not a smart gimmick and highly inconsiderate.

I held off on posting my review up for them once before simply because things happen. Now after giving them a 2nd shot at making lunch for our staff. They definitely deserve a review. The quality of their food isnt the same as if you would walk into 1 of there locations & order your lunch. Ordered 21 burritos and they were all literally roughly 5" and almost more shaped like a ball. I have posted pix up of the 1st time we ordered and this time. Both poorly made. Very disappointed! Lets not forget to mention Chipotle isn't cheap $$ Also this is the 2nd time they failed to have the food done as scheduled.

While the Guys working the line provided exceptional service, there was a need for them to inquire and obtain guidance from the young lady at the register (Joceline). It should be noted that she questioned every aspect of my order without ensuring that customer service was of an essence. My daughter order a build your own tacos. Unfortunately they were out of kids plates which divide the items therefore the items were placed within the 4 oz containers. Joceline walked over to the guy who prepared my daughter's food and reprimanded him for the manner in which he made the meal. She then proceeded with dumping the cup of chicken back in to the pan. Concerns at hand are as follows: Joceline's failure to provide great customer service at minimum. Joceline's failure to present as a appropriate team member when approaching them (team members) Joceline's presenting as though she was discriminatory towards me given I was the only African American in line as she did not question anyone else's order prior or thereafter my order. Joceline's snappiness after addressing the cross contamination of the chicken. Further Joceline not hearing the customer out as she had something to say continuously. While customers awaited in line for at least ten to fifteen minutes only to be informed upon placing orders that there was no chicken. One particular customer questioned such as there was chicken available for online orders; however the employee indicated that he could not provide her with such and was ridiculed by Joceline. This customer walked out without an order. Joceline yelled out to the cook to cut the chicken smaller. All in all, there's a need for immediate change at this location in order to at minimum provide adequate customer service.

This is the worst quality chipotle I have ever had. It doesn't make any sense the the owner is unaware that the taste of their food is not the same.. also I'm sure the owner is also unaware. I hope of the service and that they run out of food at 8 when they close at 10. I feel that they just don't want to cook anymore. That's two hour of money being wasted. I'm truly upset at a place in my neighborhood and the quality of service. You need to train, these young children or young adults to at least take pride in their job and not stand around doing nothing because they are not happy with their job, I shouldn't have to look over and see a group of people talking while there is a line forming. As a supervisor, I am truly disappointed in the level of leader ship held at this chipotle.

This place needs some serious corporate help. They are ALWAYS out of something. If you are in the restaurant business, how is it that you are out of top key ingredients??! Very frustrating. Employees are extremely low and not very friendly.
