I usually enjoy coming here because the food is good, but my visit on September 10 around 8 PM was very disappointing. The service was terrible from the moment I walked in. The beans were out, so I asked the guy behind the counter if more were coming. He said yes, so I asked if he knew how long it would take. His response was simply, “I don’t know.” I then asked if he could check, since I wanted to know whether it was worth waiting. Instead of answering professionally, he rolled his eyes, turned around, and asked someone else. He didn’t even bother to tell me the answer—his coworker had to respond instead. It felt very rude and dismissive.
On top of that, the woman who was finishing the bowls looked annoyed and rushed me through my order with an attitude. She didn’t smile or even try to be friendly, which made the experience even worse.
Sadly, the food didn’t make up for the bad service. The rice was bland, low in salt, and stuck together like it had been sitting in water. The steak also had no seasoning, and even the pico de gallo was flavorless. Overall, the quality of the food was not what I’m used to here.
This location is usually reliable, but after this experience I left really disappointed. Both the service and the food need improvement because this was nothing like what I’ve come to expect.
