Chipotle has always been a go-to spot for those looking for a fast, customizable meal that's also on the healthier side. I've had my fair share of visits, and while the experience is generally positive, there are a few things that I think need some attention to elevate the overall experience. The Experience: First off, the lines can get long during lunchtime, especially around the midday rush. I try to avoid the rush and only come at times when they are not as busy, so I'm usually in and out. The Food: When it comes to the food, I find Chipotle to be a solid option for anyone trying to eat healthily without compromising on flavor. My usual go-to is the burrito bowl with double chicken. The portions are generous, enough for a hearty meal, and I usually end up with leftovers for later—usually a second meal. The overall meal is a decent-sized serving, but the protein portions can feel a little skimpy sometimes. I’ve noticed that they seem to under-portion the protein, making you feel like you’re not getting your money’s worth unless you opt for the double protein. I’ve had bowls that didn’t seem to have nearly enough meat, especially when compared to the regular portion. This was made even clearer after a frustrating online ordering experience. The Online Ordering Experience: Now, here's where things took a turn. I decided to try online ordering for pickup once, which ended up being a huge letdown. I ordered the chicken burrito bowl with double protein, paid for it, drove to pick it up, and got home excited to eat in front of the TV. But when I opened the bowl, I found barely any meat. Seriously, it was barely enough to cover a single forkful. It was like they ran out of chicken & they just sprinkled a few bits of chicken throughout to make it look like they gave me double protein, but it was far from it. Naturally, I was heated. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager, who was very understanding. She apologized and asked me to bring the bowl back so they could fix it. I didn’t want to make another trip, but I decided to go back anyway since I wanted to get what I paid for. Fortunately, the team member who helped me at the restaurant quickly corrected the issue and gave me the double portion I had paid for. Since that incident, I’ve avoided online orders here entirely and only order in person, where the food seems to be assembled much more reliably. The Service: For the most part, in-person service has been smooth. I’ve never had an issue with ordering at the counter. However, there was one small issue with the cash register during a recent visit. I made a purchase that totaled $14.95, I gave the cashier $15, and was given my receipt and food. But when I checked my receipt later at home, I noticed that I hadn't gotten my 5-cent change. While it’s a minor amount, I do think it’s the principle of the thing. I don’t care if it’s a penny or a nickel—cashiers should always give you your change. It was a small oversight, but it’s a detail that matters. My Final Thoughts: Chipotle is an excellent choice for a quick, healthy meal. The food is tasty, and you get a pretty good value for the price. I think with a few adjustments, such as more consistency in protein portions (and maybe a little more attention to small details like giving back change) and keeping the lobby clean, this place could easily hit 5 stars. Overall, it’s a reliable and convenient option for when you're craving something fresh and healthy, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quick bite. Just stick to ordering in person if you want to avoid any hiccups with online orders!

Chips are consistently stale at this location. I’ve given it several tries at different times in the day. Always stale. Also I found a hair (definitely wasn’t mine) and an avocado sticker in my burrito bowl this last time 🤢. They should really stop over-prepping the chips and just make them fresh and have a little attention to detail with everything else. I miss the quality chipotle had pre-Covid, hoping to find a better location.

My first time there. I had two gift cards and I decided to use them. Took mom on Mother’s Day. Now she’s not a big Mexican food lover but she did enjoy this meal. We had a bowl with chicken rice and corn. Amazing! The juices were too sweet but were good with added ice 😬😉 We sat down and ate our meal. Calm atmosphere, was not noisy and we took our time to eat.

It was by far the dirtiest, rudest staff, nastiest chipotle I've ever been in. When I was ordering my food and I asked for one of the fajita topping. I was told they didn't have any more. This was such time, so I asked if they would be getting more, and the young woman gave me an attitude and asked what did I think. I said, "I would think they would have more." Shs said no. I was kind of stunned by the attitude. She told me to keep the line moving. I looked down, and she wiped veg that were on the outside of the container back into the containers. Very dirty. I moved down the line. I asked for a cup of water. I was told that they didn't have water. I asked for a manager, and the manager told me the fajita veg weren't ready. I asked about the water again. The manager told me I would be charged the same price of a soda for water. That was so unprofessional and rude in both accounts. I was going to eat in the resteraunt but it was so dirty. Most of the tables hadnt been cleaned and had food on them. When I got home and opened my steak bowl up, the lettuce was wilted and a bit brown. It was just awful. I snded up throwing my food away. I will never go back to this Chipotle. If someone gets sick from here, it wouldn't surprise me at all. The worst food, the dirtiest, least hygienic, rudest staff ever!!!!!!!!! I am honestly just floored. Placed an order through DoorDash. Received my order, upon opening said order (first I received brownish guacamole.. wasn’t going to complain just wasn’t going to eat it) BUT they thought it was smart/funny to put taco shells in place of my actual chips. If they didn’t have the chips just cancel that portion of the order.

I’m not sure what’s going on with the meat these days in professional establishments but why would you weigh this in the portion that you will serve your loved ones??? Because isn’t it that we are one and you should serve edible food. This picture I took was all fat and that wasn’t the only one and it’s expensive. We are harshly overcharge the false advertised, the companies cheat& take from the ones who make them successful(the consumer)…. When will we all say enough is enough and stop doing business with the greedy so we can grow and support the compassionate who go without silently daily to do the best work and get barely nothing for it.

“I ordered a chicken burrito bowl for my girlfriend and while eating, she found a piece of hair mixed in with the rice. I informed the staff, and although they offered to replace the meal, the experience left me feeling uncomfortable and sickened. I’ve enjoyed Chipotle in the past, but this incident made me question the cleanliness and food safety at this location. This whole incident has led me into not eating as much, the experience of eating hair and Vomiting it up, How very disgusting. I hope this store improves its food handling practices so this doesn’t happen to other customers. I will never never never eat at that Chipotle again in Life.

This location is disgusting! From the moment you walk in, it smells. It's dirty. Like really dirty. We waited 30 minutes past our ready time and each time we asked, they said just a few more minutes. Asked for a refund from the manager and I've never experienced a more lazy manager. And she refused to refund our money. Food is absolutely vile. Avoid this location. Update: Chipotle posted a reply below, but after an hour of reaching out they did not respond. Absolutely horrible service and follow up. Chipotle has tanked. Don't eat there!

I always order from this location and I have no idea why. Everytime I get my delivery...my food is always a mess and they always forget my dressing and the flavor of food is never consistent. EVER. Its very frustrating considering it is not cheap to have it delivered. I ordered a quesadilla and there was no cheese.

Hadn't been to Chipotle in months and today I remembered why this place sucks. Portion sizes are diabolical. They gave me all half scoops then told me they couldn't do anymore and topped it off with four pieces of shredded lettuce I asked for more lettuce. He said he couldn't do that either. I hate Chipotle I'll never come here again I just paid $12 for a cup of salad. Ridiculous! I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies

Very unclean restaurant (saw a roach on the floor and on a separate occasion an employee not wearing gloves while handling the food) employees look like they don't want to be there and portions are unbelievable ! I have to go to a different chipotle further away from me because I've had so many problems with this one.

Disgusting experience. Went there tonight and a young lady called me a bi*** . Let me know that kids meals only come with one side. Accepted even though I order from chipotle frequently. Proposed adding things on the side since I couldn't get it with it. They denied to do this. I let them know politely I was not interested in getting a meal since I couldn't only get a quesadilla kids meal with "beans OR rice" no other sides or toppings. When I walked out. One of the ladies, (she is black thin female in her 20s) She was working around 6pm on December 17th 2024. Will never return and I expect management to address this with the employee and consider her employment and necessary training and local leadership with this business. Please do not respond to this email with a generate response. I deserve some sort of formal response.

Today I placed my order in the app because after taking my mom out to vote and breakfast (no I didn't want breakfast). When I finally get to PTC it looks like every Fire and Police Officer. A kind Fire Dept Officer advises me that I shouldn't have issues getting my lunch. But all the doors are locked. So, I'm knocking to get someone to bring me my order. It took the FD Officer to tell the Mgr that he only closed the building on the opposite side of the street. Now, they have to open back up. I'm just now finding out via fb that someone made a bomb threat. My issue with Chipotle is I ordered the Beef Brisket and I received what looked like a kiddie meal (see attach). I was cheated out of my full portions. Please make this right. I was hungry and headed to work and only requested what I paid for. I have pics. They ask for order confirmation number but I can't find my email nor is it in the app where I viewed it last. smh.

Do you offer half a star? This is not my first time having to contact customer service about this place. Besides the fact that the little sensitive guy at the cash register ignored me when I came to pick up my mobile order today, I got it and it was so liquid filled that it leaked through the bag and you could see through it. My guacamole was totally brown on top, as well the guacamole on the top of my bowl. It could not be missed, which is why I don't understand why they put it there if it was bad or old. It was disgusting. It looked like POOP. There was this yellowish liquid running off of my bowl that usually is not there. I don't know what it was. I ate a couple of chips that came with my guacamole and they were stale. I'm ashamed to say that I scraped off the guacamole and tried to still eat some of the food because I was so hungry and I am a diabetic and needed to eat quickly. My stomach became sick this evening after eating some of the bowl. This is now a HEALTH HAZARD. Something needs to be done. Whomever is managing this restaurant is not managing it well, considering the problems here persist. Clean it out and start fresh! The people and the food!!

On 3/3/205 I ordered chip with my meal to go. When I got home and open the bag of chips they smelt burned and was. Very badly cooked and were very very hard. Customer care offer a BOGO code. So now I have to spend another $10 because of their bad service. Why not refund me for the bad food or provide a gift card. It is hard to say whether I would go back the the Chipotle in Hampton, VA Von Schilling Dr.

Yes, we understand you are making a cater order; however, management needs to bring in new folks or start earlier for orders. The day-to-day weekend orders are insane! They stopped in-person orders and only had online orders. Result: everyone waits in the lobby and staff are rude as they respond to patrons inquiries on their orders. Service is non-existent here. My wife ordered a bowl from here and went to go pick it up, was told it would be ready at 10, it's well past 10 and food wasn't ready. She was standing by the counter for about 20 minutes and wasn't greeted or helped at all. All the employees are just standing around the back doing absolutely nothing. This is not how you treat your customers and I'm very disappointed in the hospitality and service at this Chipotle!

This is the worst chipotle I've ever been to in my life, all of the people need to be fired. I walked in an hour in a half before they closed and they said they aren't taking anymore people. Do not visit this store! Friday the 29th around 930 am I placed a catering order at the chipotle in Hampton VA. When I picked the order up Sunday night the 31st for our New Year's Eve party, we did not receive all items we ordered, had poor customer service and the quality of food was poor. The encounter started with the manager saying "no one told him they had a catering order today". I find this unprofessional and unsettling for someone responsible for a restaurant. We were then made to wait as they started on our order but were also told the restaurant did not have any of the items we ordered ready. As the staffed scrambled to put our order together we were told they did not have our onions/ peppers, and my sisters separate order of a steak bowl was mistakenly given to someone else and they did not have any more steak. They finally gave us our order and when we got home it was worst then we imaged. The tomato salsa was just a bowl of tomatoes. No onions cilantro green peppers or any of the normal ingredients. Our rice was plain white rice without cilantro or lime. We received a small container of barbacoa. And our soft tortillas were ice cold still in the manufacturer packaging. I ordered 2 proteins and got a tiny container of barbacoa. I guess that ran of out meat but that's not my problem. I do not understand how a restaurant can make a mistake like this when they had days to prepare. I called corporate number and sent an email with photos and they refused to reimburse me even after I offered to bring the food back. I was offered catering and after I complained more 15 bucks. DO NOT ORDER CATERING FROM CHIPOTLE!!! Their customers service is poor and they do not care what they feed people or how they treat people.

Recently moved to Hampton. I will still be driving to Newport News for my Chipotle orders. They give a quarter of a spoon for your protein portion and scoop all the juice of the salsa into your bowl before draining it. Would not recommend this location.

As much as I hate coming here, I love chipotle and it's the nearest to me. I hate how all the workers don't even acknowledge anybody let alone be respectful when taking an order. It took over 30 minutes to get to the counter because all the servers were taking care of online orders first. When I finally got to the point when I could place my order, I went for a burrito bowl, where the server was simply to say the least when it came to all the ingredients not just the protein. I was also told "no" when I asked for more. So I ordered a double and he only added like 4 more pieces. After, my bowl got dragged through a food line that looked extremely dirty.

This location is terrible. The counter and food area is very dirty. The sour cream is just white liquid, very watery like they are trying to stretch what they have left. As my bowl came down an employee at the register had dirty gloves and place a top on my bowl. It was filthy. I asked her to exchange it out for at least a cleaner top and she got an attitude about it. the second top was also dirt. I was livid but I decided to just leave. Management needs to uplift the spirits in there because clearly they hate coming to work. They could also use a pop up inspection from time to time to make sure the place is tidy, and No Chipotle I do not wish to go to your website as I've seen you've suggested to other customers. I'd actually like you to do something about this location. Help them out somehow and hold them accountable to the standards that we as customers deserve. A clean area and proper sour cream is the bare minimum

This location is always out of some food item. The workers are rude as hell, and the line is always out the door. Today they are out of rice... yet the location is across from target. Like go get some rice then??? The bar that they create the online orders from looks disgusting - which is why I've never done an online order from them. There is always food over the counters and it looks a mess inside. I've tweeted the chipotle Twitter page about this location multiple times for them to do nothing about it. Overall I would avoid this location and either eat at Mezeh or Moes Southwest.

Okay so this is probably the worst Chipotle experience I've had in a while. I just moved to Hampton, so I'm fairly new on this side (from Virginia Beach, if you're a native you know what I mean). I'm used to waiting in line but holy CRAP. I was in line for an hour and not once did they say they were out of anything... I get all the way up there and I ask if they have any Guacamole left and they said they were out of it. YALL I ALMOST PASSED OUT! I stood in line for an hour and had no idea they ran out...no announcement was made or anything. So I asked if they had any chips to go with my bowl and they were out of that as well. The sweet curly hair girl making me bowl had such a great attitude which kinda made up for it. So here's my Chipotle bowl..all dry and what not

This is the Chipotle on N. Battlefield Blvd. in Chesapeake, Virginia. at 6:20 PM yesterday and they close at 11 PM. I went inside to order a steak bowl for my daughter. The gentleman in front of me had ordered chicken Pastor tacos. The server said we are out without so much as an apology or a solution. As I looked into the bins holding the meat it looked very unappetizing and dried out. I asked if there was any more steak and the server turned around and spoke to a guy in the back, who was more interested in his cell phone than customers, and asked him if there was any more steak. The guy just shook his head no without even looking up from his cell phone. Are these the type of employees that you people hire? This is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. I once owned a restaurant and if any of my staff acted in that manner they would have been fired immediately. You guys have the potential to be amazing but with this type of attitude and service your potential is extremely stunted. I will never return to this location again and will think twice about any other location. Perhaps you could take a lesson from Chick-fil-A. They know how to be polite, professional, helpful and apologetic if there is any kind of problem. And shame on the franchise owner for hiring these deadbeat, worthless employees.

Unfortunately, I had probably the worst cashier interaction I have ever had in my entire life. I will note the workers preparing my food were amazing. However, Sharaa the cashier was downright rude. I have never been just blatantly disrespected in a way that I wanted to leave without my food and in tears. She was rude from the second I walked up to pay. Super hit and miss with this location. I think the hit is when you order in store with a human, the miss is the mobile pick up. I've ordered 3 times with mobile and every time, I get the wrong order, or something is missing. I'd avoid this location if there was another one in Hampton.

I often go into Chipotle & my food is pretty tasty. If you go through Door Dash itself (your order may be correct) however there may be fees associated with that business. However if anything is wrong with your order through DD they will handle it flawlessly, quickly & with ease. My disappointment is with being a part of the Chipotle Club, getting an email today offering their new Chicken Al Pastor which sends me directly to the Chipotle App, where I place my order, ordering extras because other people asked me to order them something also. Not only did they get the order incorrect, I paid for the missing items, they sent the order through Door Dash (definitely not DD's fault) I reach out to send a complaint & get a refund from the original co I ordered from CHIPOTLE! They not only make it extremely difficult, you can't complain to the store, or online clearly. Lastly, although it wasn't DD's fault I reached out & they have no record of the order because I went through the Co. Fair enough, however what is NOT RIGHT, is me not being refunded for missing items through Chipotle Or being allowed to complain to the store or co. I AM IN NO WAY saying anything negative about DoorDash, you're probably better off ordering through them. But, I ABSOLUTELY want a response from Chipotle, I ABSOLUTELY want my refund & I will try other places like Mezeh & Moe's for faster food & better service. Hope this helps.

I frequently visit for lunch and can honestly say its a challenge.This location is always packed between 12-130 however, if certain managers are not in that location you will not enjoy your experience. You're waiting for the meat, the cleanliness of the building is in question and your mad because you want to get in and out.

Worst chipotle ever. They take advantage of online orders. Their card machine is always down so you have no choice but to do online orders. Don't even bother trying to return it bc they won't fix your order either. The workers are rude and give you an attitude all the time. This place is trash To say the least.

This is literally the worst chipotle I've ever eaten at. They are always out of essential things (chicken, barbacoa, cheese, and chips is a common one). Every time I go I ask myself "what won't they have this time". There has been times I would go and they would only be accepting to-go orders (confusing). And there was a time for a whole month their chip reader didn't work. They never advertise when there are issues. Today I go and they aren't serving Pollo Asada chicken anymore but still have all of the advertisements posted and do not have any barbacoa. The management is also horrible. The female manager with the Loc always gave an attitude and rushes us when she is serving us.
