Honestly quite disappointed. I always stop by here to get Chipotle as the location is quite convenient for me. I’ve gotten pick up orders as well as in person. This time I ordered it online and went in to pick it up. The cashier staff wasn’t really nice when there was a lot of downtime and I asked to see if my order was done. I went upstairs to eat my sofritas and I found a piece of steak in my food. As a vegetarian this honestly is a huge deal breaker. I went down and told the staff in the front. They don’t seem to want to help. Luckily, the manager was around and she helped me remake it. The manger of this location is always hard working and quite responsive to customer’s matters. I wish this didn’t happen but I hope my sofritas don’t come with steak or other meats in the future.

The staff is super rude. When I went in just now there was hardly anyone in line and each staff member rushed me through as if I was somehow inconveniencing them by ordering my food. I made no special requests or anything and ordered quickly. I asked which salsa was medium spicy and they said the green one. None of the salsa was green at this location and I don’t go to chipotle enough to know if that’s just what they call a salsa that’s reddish-orange in color. I said I don’t see any green salsa politely and they came back at me with “it’s right in front of you” snarky as hell. They all just seemed really pissed I walked in. There was no reason to rush me, I was one of 3 people in line. I’m blown away by how rude each staff member was. The entire staff just seemed like a bunch of bratty high school kids that are entitled af and suppressing a meltdown because they have gone 2 whole hours without screen time, waahhhh 😫 When I opened my bowl to eat it was put together all sloppy and messy. I won’t be returning to this location. I don’t go to chipotle all that often but I go often enough to know that whole experience was BS. 0/10 would not recommend.

I ordered a burrito online but couldn’t add the free guac reward received. When I was at the restaurant, the lady tried to scan the reward but was unsuccessful. Michael Chun came and told me that I have to order at the counter in order to use the reward. However i show him the term and condition of the reward and inform him that i could use it for an online purchase. He refused to help me and told me to call the customer service number. When I asked him for his name , store id and the customer service number , he told me to stand aside and refused to provide me with the information. I insisted for the next 5 mins and he reluctantly gave me the details. After speaking’s you the customer service agent and sending pics of the reward on the app, she gave me a code for free guac. Michael Chun reluctantly process the transaction for me. I took the burrito that I’ve ordered and guac and left. As soon as I stepped out of the restaurant, I felt something dripping on my jeans. When I looked down, I saw the the burrito poking out from the bottom of the bag. The bottom of the bag was soaked with some liquid. I went back in the restaurant and demanded a refund. Micheal refused to give me a refund and asked me to call customer service again. The staff must have done something to my burrito and this is a serious violation of food safety

The food quality was awful which has become the new Chipotle standard. I placed a mobile order and my guacamole was beige, not green. It had obviously not been made that day. I asked the staff for a side of lime and they gave me a lime that had been sitting in a container so long it was halfway rotted. I showed them the lime and asked for a replacement. Staff offered me another one that was "less rotted." See pic. I tried to request a refund on the Chipotle app but they intentionally send you into an endless loop with the "Pepper" AI bot. They make it impossible to request a refund for mobile orders.

The staff was unfriendly and rushing me out. There was one person behind me. I asked for pinto beans and there wasn’t much so she gave me 1/4 of a spoonful then moved on?? Should I have asked to refill it so I can actually get my money’s worth? By the time I got to the end there was a doordash driver trying to get food and the other customer behind me trying to pay making the situation more uncomfortable. There was no communication on how much the food was. she just told me where to tap my phone?? Not to mention the outrageous pricing. $30 for a bowl? Like the bar is on floor at this point smhh

Location is noisy, very small seating area, staff checked out, portions very limited. Much better Chipotle not that far away at: 525 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94105, this location is a lot more quiet, very large seating area, portions are normal, meaning they're not extremely huge, I understand, they have a business to run, but the portions are lot more reasonable here, staff a very friendly as well, night and day difference compared to the Kearny (this) location.

Staff is super rude- they act like customers are inconveniences to them and can be outright aggressive. Not to mention they forget items constantly and give half-portions with the ingredients being sloppily prepared and not up to Chipotle standards. I try to always be extra kind and considerate to service workers but here they will be rude to you regardless of your attitude or request. Corporate needs to come and re-train the staff here- until then I’m going elsewhere

I stopped in here to pick up lunch on my way back to my hotel after running the San Francisco Marathon. Per the usual with any Chipotle, I placed my order on the mobile app before going inside to wait for my food. Once my food was ready, they placed it out on the pick-up shelf that was located near the stairs. My food was on par with what I've come to expect from any Chipotle. It was a nice, affordable, and delicious burrito bowl to help recover from the marathon.

This place is a price gouging low low low serving size lousy service slop kitchen that must surely have one of the lowest hiring standards of any Chiptotle in the Bay Area. The person making my bowl was incredibly surly, unhelpful , barely grunted . Lousy lousy lousy portion size practically thrown into the bowl . Feeble attempts to make the bowl seem bigger loading it with 5c worth of rice . Disgusting salsa that must have been out for hours . Had a terrible experience at this Chipotle. An employee (who didn't give her name) scolded me after I waited five minutes in line and politely asked if my order was ready, since it should have been. She demanded respect even though I had waited my turn and was polite. When I asked for a manager, she said he wasn't there and told the other staff to ignore me--which they did. She went to the back, returned without saying anything, and no one acknowledged me until they finally handed me my food. Unprofessional and disrespectful service.

I work near this Chipotle location. Frequently coming in to buy food. I like that this one has an upstairs seating area, which is spacious. There are drink machines on the bottom floor and the top. Also, in this downtown San Francisco location, the closing time of 10 is pretty late, and much appreciated. The customer service is satisfactory for the most part. I can see that the staff members are under high stress, as this location is pretty busy, open to close. I order tacos. The Chicken Al Pastor is to die for! Thoroughly tasty. As is the barbacoa (shredded beef) it is my favorite.

Your average chipotle. I ordered online for lunch and despite me putting up 20 minutes for pickup, I got there in 10 and it was ready. They did end up forgetting to give me my drink cup, but I realized before I left. Portions were full and the flavors were yummy. Could be a bit cleaner though. Overall, would come back.

I'm glad they're open late in downtown SF! But their guy Carlos apparently doesn't practice customer service beyond the essential basics. He had a chance to help a disabled customer, very very easily, and he just plain said he couldn't. Not appreciated.

I came to Chipotle to redeem my birthday reward for a free guacamole. I redeemed it and bought the new brisket burrito bowl. The brisket is really yummy despite the expensive price. I came again to get the brisket/steak burrito bowl again with the Boorito Halloween $6 promotion. The workers gave me the promotion although the cashier asked where is my costume. I told him I'm dressed as Barbie since I wore a pink dress and pink jacket. It was a little rude of the cashier to ask me that, but I guess my dress up wasn't too obvious. He should've said what are you dressed up as and be more tactful if he wanted to make sure I'm not abusing the promotion. However, I still give 4 stars since the portion is big and food is yummy.

I ordered a Chicken Burrito and a Carne Asada Bowl with a Coke. I have tried other Chipotle locations in many areas, from the South Bay to the East Bay and San Francisco. I have to say that I was pretty shocked when I opened my food at home; its portion was only about 50% of what I've received from all the other Chipotle stores. I was a bit disappointed, and this was the first meal we had after moving into the city.

Like whaaaat idk before my trip, people said, Chipotle Grill serve good, fresh fast food. First of all ... "Grill"? Where? Not clean, greasy metal tables. Loveless pre-cooked food from assembled metal bins (ok the veggies and Guacamole was better than what McDonald's would have served). Overpriced for what it is imo....

The lady who was helping get my food was hella rude she started out by giving me little scope of rice and I had to ask for extra but when I ask can she give me 1 scope rice she looked at me as if I asked for her kidneys . After that she was stingy on every other item she gave me half a scoop of beans half spoon chicken little tomatoes pinch of cheese the list amount of sour cream I have ever seen and just 4-5 strings of salad I am not even kidding I asked for hot sauce but got a medium sauce . She just had a fit with me for some reason coz I asked for a extra scoop of rice . I work at kerny and I go there all the time I have never seen this lady there and she was the RUDEST server ever . I can't tell you how the food was coz this is not how I generally get it . If chipotle can hear me fire that b,&$#h There was no one behind be so it's not even that she was rushing coz it was busy or anything

Nice convenient spot in downtown San Francisco; the inside could be cleaner but it's livable. I was in and out of line within what felt like seconds, a guy with a nose stud who was super nice helped me out and made my burrito perfectly, I swear this was the best chipotle I've ever had. It was the perfect amount and tasted great. No napkins or bathroom unfortunately but that's normal for downtown San Francisco.

The dirtiness keeps getting better. Tonight is the night I find another location that's not suffering from " we've hired anyone syndrome". Clearly no one cares here. Trash next to cutlery and condiments-- overlooked for hours to get this disgusting. Tables are all dirty and no clean place to sit-- ever. Imagine their food handling with this kind of lack of cleanliness.

The location for this chipotle is good, restaurant cleanliness is good, the staff are nice. I always get a steak burrito bowl and order ahead using the Chipotle app. I picked up my order at the front desk via saying my name. I don't think they leave the online orders on their pick-up shelf, which is a good idea. Definitely filling, I know what I'm getting into with a bowl, basically, it's my entire meal for the day. Came through since there was a free guac/queso promotion this month.

I got some Xmas allowance as a gift..you know like $50 from family and decided to have a Chipotle afternoon before the gym. The thing is Chipotle tastes good and it's a good gym snack as long as it doesn't make you sick...haha So I had the burrito bowl with chicken and I had hoped for fresher chicken but it was on the grill. I had all the veggies like corn and pico and sourcream and cheese and lettuce..you know...the typical.. but if you go to the gym and there's something u want to do on a Sunday..it was nice but it's December now(late December) and it was raining on Market Street..I want my gym Sundays..and it was a good positive outing with.. I order a quesadilla. The girl that filled and folded the quesadilla handed it the guy working the register which I thought was pretty odd (why not to bring it to the back to grill yourself?).The guy working the register pressed down on the quesadilla with the his hands. The guy touched pressed down( I guess to flatten) on the food wearing the gloves he'd been handling money with. I'm giving them two stars because the staff are polite, but definitely not very hygienic.

As much as I've had decent experiences at Chipotle, this was probably one of the worst as far as quantity and quality goes. I don't expect a whole lot from fast food chains so if it really disappoints it's worth mentioning. As far as service goes, this place isn't any different. The employees do their job and greet you but nothing out of the ordinary like a smile or heart felt welcome. That's not really important for a place that caters to the masses but their food is. To quite simply put it, this review is simply a reflection of the quality and quantity of their food. For full context, I'm on a low carb diet so I don't have many items you might normally get like their tortillas and rice. As such most of my bowl is filled with greens and some protein. In the case with this particular establishment, it was mostly salsa, grilled veggies sprinkled with some dry chicken. I have not been as disappointed as much as this in a while. While the first server did get me a decent helping of veggies, the second server in line barely gave any meat. This is disappointing for two reasons. One, I've already neglected carbs and two, I'm paying for double meat. While seeing my scoops of meat, I couldn't help but think of Oliver Twist and say, "may I please have some more?" Why? In both scoops, the server didn't even fill the spoon with meat. If you're going to providing a measuring device that is used globally(?) across your chains please use it appropriately. I have never been so sad watching my bowl not even fill up past the cardboard base. Even after asking for more lettuce to make up for the disappointing bowl, the server wouldn't add any more. To put even more salt on the wound, she started packing up my bowl before I got the chance to tell her I wanted their salsa, cheese, corn. If there were any instances where I felt like one employee made the entire experience terrible it would have been this one. There was no empathy and every action was mechanical. Thankfully the person manning their register was quite cheerful and cracked a few jokes about my sad bowl so it helped. Overall though, I would hesitate to come back to this particular Chipotle. I've had much better experiences with the quantity and quality at the one a few blocks down on California St. I don't recommend paying $4 for a half scoop of "extra steak". TL;DR Probably the least amount of protein and lettuce I've gotten at any Chipotle chain with so-so service from one employee.

This place is absolutely filthy. When I walked in to do a pickup, there was trash literally scattered all over the place. People left their food on the tables, the soda machine looked like something out of a horror movie and all the trash bins were overflowing. Told the employee and he laughed at me. As for the burrito when I got home. It was as messy as the indoor location. I had them double wrap my buritto with an added tortilla and it still wasn't wrapped closed as it fell apart. I'm pretty sure who made it was their first week, because it was a filthy inedible mess. Had to throw it away since it was so soggy and fell apart. When it opened up on me all I saw was clumpy white rice, tons of salsa liquid and literally 3 small pieces of steak. Needless to say, but I won't ever step foot in this location again.

Have you ever been to a restaurant where the food was so decadent, the service so attentive, the ambiance so amazing, that you just had to rush home and immediately smash that 5 star button and write a review? Well this isn't going to be one of those reviews! Food wise, if you've been to one Chipotle, you've been to them all. Of all the different ones I've been to, I've found that they are consistent in that they all taste the same. With the only real variety in the taste in their guacamole. However what differentiates the different Chipotle is the cleanliness, efficiency, and level of service. And with those metrics, I find this Chipotle is highly inconsistent. My first ever experience at this Chipotle was actually during the peak of lunch hour, where the line wrapped around to the back door. Unlike the typically efficient Chipotle I've grown to love, this spot took a whole 45mins before I was able to finally get out of there with my order in hand. This fortunately is not always the case, as sometimes they are super efficient and I can get out of there pretty quickly. Service is also hit or miss here. I've had times where everyone from the first person asking what I would like, to the cashier, all deliver excellent service with a smile. And then there are days where it seems everyone is miserable and appear to wish customers would stop coming in to annoy them. Despite other reviews, I've never noticed a cleanliness issue at this location. However I always eat out so I tend to overlook the main dining area upstairs. As an aside, if you order through their app, your order will be ready right in front of the cashier so you never even have to interact with anyone. Plus despite the 15min estimated time, they typically have it ready 5 mins after I punch it in.

I gave this place a 2 star because they ran out of veggies. I'm a vegetarian and the veggies is what I look forward to when I'm making my own bowl. Heavily disappointed. The place is small and quaint. It's a 2 level Chipotle where they have bathrooms and additional seatings on the top level. The bathroom is only for customers and not for general public. The bathrooms have a code panel on it where the code is printed on the bottom of ur receipt and that's what you input to go inside the bathroom. It makes sense as this is a very touristy area and it's the bay.

I go to this Chipotle pretty often since I work near here -- and here's what I've learned so far. Chipotle perks: -If you get a veggie bowl or veggie burrito (anything veggie really) you can get free guacamole -If you get a bowl, you can ask for a free tortilla on the side -You can ask for extra of something if you don't feel like they gave you enough -You can get both types of rice, and both types of beans for no extra cost The food is good, I usually don't get meat (even though I'm not a vegetarian) since I've had suspicious beef/chicken before. I also just stay away from it because I'm a fan of the free guac. I almost always order to-go since this place is usually not very up-kept. There's upstairs seating if the bottom is full, but that's also usually full. Oh also, this place is always ridiculously packed but the line moves surprisingly fast. Check out Chipotle!

Online option does not provide you to special order anything and trying to call them is dreadful. Positive side make sure you get vinaigrette and sour cream and mix them

Wow, this Chipotle was super quick! They were adequately staffed during lunch time (which is often hard to find around here, so I've noticed.) Employees were friendly and super efficient in the line. All the ingredients were well stocked and fresh. Clean restaurant, well stocked utensils and lots of places to sit while you wait / eat. Would recommend!

This is a pretty sad Chipotle. The staff clearly hate what they're doing; they don't acknowledge your presence until they absolutely have to. I was standing at the counter for at least 30 seconds while two women behind the counter continued whatever they were doing (one of them was stacking boxes at the prep counter and I don't think the other one was actually doing anything at all). It wasn't until two other people got in line that the box stacking woman gave me a curt "hiwhatcanigetforyoutoday." Just a really odd experience. Apparently it's too much nowadays to expect a "hello" or at the very least "I'll be with you in just a minute." On top of the sub-par service, the condiments area was completely empty - no hot sauce, nothing whatsoever. Even the lemonade fountain was totally empty. The place also isn't particularly clean. I'd really just rather order from a screen like Sonic does if the service is going to be this bad.

I usually stay away from Chipotle because I had it years ago on two occasions and it made me sick. Today, I was really craving some spice with chicken and decided to go for it. Happy to report it did not make me sick. Note: there is a really good Mexican taqueria on kearny/pine, but I did not feel like walking and also did not have much time on my break. I ordered a chicken bowl with white rice, pinto beans, and the works to go. The serving size is enormous, enough for two meals. The corn salad is really good and crunchy. The guac is fantastic. A little too salty for my taste but better than most places. It's chunky, creamy, and tastes homemade. The red salsa was spicy, but spicy enough, and did not have much flavor. The rest of the food was, like the guac, a little too salty. The place was crowded and did not look super clean, but I am giving them an extra star because of the great customer service. The staff was communicative, accommodating, nice, and very professional. Good team work, too. Although I did not get sick, I did have a food coma after eating half my bowl :)

Ordered food through their website and my card was charged. Instructions were to pick up food at 9:45pm. I arrive at 9:50pm and the gal behind the counter as well as two males (possible managers) tell me "we don't have your order and We can't do anything about it. I guess call the number". I asked "what number?". The gal responds "Um I don't know, chipotles number?" Ridiculous! Will never go to this location again. Shame cause I live up the street and during this pandemic you would think they would be grateful for my business. Should be ashamed of your customer service.....
