The same as any other chipotle across America. I've been coming here once a week on my day off and the new girl working today made my bowl like half the size it usually is. Definitely need to train newbies on correct portion disbursement. Gave half a spoon of rice and was like is that enough, ahh no. FYI the pictures are from my first visit not the most recent. That's how I can tell the difference between visits

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a chipotle, the entire crew just blatantly ignored me for 5 minutes after walking in. The manager then yells aggressively at another guy to come help, yet he hasn’t even greeted me. Then the other guy makes my order, in the process dropping something on the floor and picking it up then going right back to making the food. By the time I’m ready to pay, the manager/cashier suddenly had to use the bathroom. Then disappears and I was standing at the register for 5 minutes. I then walked out and left the food as the service was just horrendous. Especially from your “team leader”. He genuinely deserves to be fired or demoted. Watch your cameras 09/4/2025 at 9:55 pm and you’ll see it all play out

The employees all seemed to be on the same page and knew their task very well.For each customer that came in they were welcomed by the guy at the front he enjoys his job, if he didn't he hides it well. Not too expensive either. There are places in tahoe who will get over on the tourists and the food doesn't match the price BEWARE

Chipotle is one of the most marketed and branded these days as its one of the main sponsers of the NBA. I tried the Mexican burrito which contains a real chili sauce, rice, guacamoli, brown beans, beef meat. It was nice taste, but the meat was not that easy gum which made me give 3 out of 5 to Chipotle. The price was not that cheap which makes me think again next time while visiting the chain.

The carne asada was gristly and almost entirely inedible. If I'm paying more for a steak burrito I want to be able to EAT the steak I'm paying for, not spit half of it out because it's gristle and fat. Otherwise the food is Chipotle standard. Consider getting the chicken burrito instead of the inedible steak.

The food was Chipotle, so it was the same. It was good but the service was poor and very dry. One of the teenagers I was with ordered a type of meat that they ran out of scrapeing the bottom you got half the meat The other guy did when I told him to ask for a different type, they had already putting cheese and corn on top of it, and the girl looked down and said, no, that's about the right amount of meat. I just started laughing, like it's coming out of her pocke. Other than that, it was just weird because nobody in there smiled. There was no customer service. It was like zombieland and they were good appearances. Dress well, clean, just no smiles, no thanks. Have a great day. Nothing even close to that

Of all the chipotle's I have been so far, this one is the worst. We went there on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and the food including the rice and chicken were cold. Not lukewarm but cold! Service was disappointing as well. Never going to this chipotle location ever again.

With so many family Mexican restaurants in this area, Chipolte can almost be an after thought. I stop in to one of their branches occasionally as I think they make a nice burrito bowl that's easy to take home and enjoy with a beer. Chipotle also has a catering menu of which I enjoyed last night at a South Lake Tahoe celebration event. There were lots of choices, all tasty and well received. I'm partial to the corn salsa, their chicken, and chips. All went well with the festivities.

A solid four-star experience. The food was fresh and tasted good. The dining room was uncharacteristically clean for a Chipotle. Many Chipotle stores have garbage overflowing and the dining rooms are not being maintained. Not here. Everything was good. I recommend this Chipotle.

Steak was a little under seasoned. However it was still tasty, I received an apple serving size. The dude making the food, also the greeter was really friendly, he made an attempt to converse with everybody, (wasn't too busy). It was nice to receive good service. The greeter had longer hair, big smile and might have been named Andrew. ? Good customer service asset.

I spent $18.00 on a bowl of rice, beans and a few cold pieces of chicken. It's always hit or miss at Chipotle but I keep coming back, so I'll give it three stars for the overworked staff and the sometimes awesome food.

First time at this chipotle & i was praying it would be different from the reviews & it totally was. Hugo (if i spelled that right ((check cameras at around 7:34))) was amazing!! I have a cilantro allergy & he handled it very very well. My order is a bunch of white rice plain, with chicken & cheese. Portions are a set standard at chipotle I ask for extra rice. & extra cheese They were all sooo nice. The manager even came up to me to warn me of other foods that have cilantro They were on their game! Expo seemed a bit shy but was very nice. Cashier was extremely knowledgeable & helpful! Thanks Hugo for not making me feel bad about my annoying order & handing my allergy with care! You guys are awesome! First food stop in Tahoe & it was a hit! Thanks sooo much!

This was the worst chipotle I've ever eaten at. First they were out of white rice. We got there at 9 o'clock. They had an hour before they close so we had to have brown rice and the person serving us gave us such a small person of meat that we had asked for more, but they said that they would have to charge us more. The lettuce was wilted and the chips were stale. The top it off we spent a total of $42 when we got have gone down the road to a nicer restaurant and paid another five dollars and had a perfect fresh cooked meal. Chipotle needs to start weighing their meat so we get what we are paying for. Very disappointing.

I asked for the double steak asking to receive MORE steak and still ended up with a small serving. They lack a diverse menu only offer a couple sides for a burrito and charging extra for half of them. I ended paying 20 dollars for a burrito and drink which is stupid. The workers were very short but not bad I mean is a fast food place. Just go to QDOBA the serving size is a lot better.

Downright awful. Half scoop of chicken, so right off the bat, I'm getting jipped. The server couldn't manage the courtesy of actually straining the pico or beans, so the entire tortilla soaked through and was a soggy mess. Would it kill you guys to make it like you were going to eat it? If you can't, let someone who gives a S*** make it themselves and step out of the way. Ended up in garbage and reminded me why Chipotle has zero consistency or respect.

This chipotle always give you the smallest servings. Even when you ask for a double they only give you about half a scoop paid $18 for what really was just a regular bowl. The employee also spent 10 minutes talking to what seemed to be her friend in front of me. Then rush me through my order.

Where's the protein? Got a huge burrito. Too big actually because it fell apart. It was full Of rice. Very little chicken. Steak wasn't an option today and that's fine. If you're out of meat ask us to wait a minute. The bowl we ordered was also very light on chicken. Chips and guacamole is still awesome.

Everyone was wonderful there, but the manager was quite rude. We needed assistance because we had been overcharged on an order, and were able to provide necessary proof, but he then denied refund because we weren't given a receipt. My friend was being talked over and disrespected by this man, and clearly wasn't respected at all. Overall, I wouldn't come to this place, not worth the risk of dealing with the manager.

These clowns were very disrespectful on the night of March 20, Wednesday, at around 9:00. Made me wait without acknowledgment for over 5 minutes while taking to a customer, as the white guy was merely waiting for them to stop talking, then rushed me along as the Hispanic talker worker started to build a burrito and reached over my son's burrito to get lettuce for a to go order, as I saw some lint or something fall from his armpit into the burrito. Very unprofessional and offensive. I will never go here again.

I have been to this chipotle location a lot. The truth is the food is inconsistent at best. It does get super busy and the line is long however I never order through the line anymore at all! First, I'll explain if the food ordered and prepared in person is not the same as food ordered ONLINE and prepared. Food Ordered online is prepared in a completely separate Work area by a different person that works on the line. The cleanliness of the line and food prepared in front of You can leave a lot to be desired and has resulting in myself getting I'll immediately following a trip ordering in person as well as witnessing their cleanliness standards need to be reevaluated. Seriously Because I absolutely love their burrito bowl and I found myself every few months giving in and ordering online. The problem is that , I order the same thing every time and every time it's just a little different. While I have also had my order completely wrong more than once, there is inconsistency with the amount of each item put into my burrito bowl despite, like I said, I order the same thing every time normal portion. The other thing is that the burrito bowl is literally cold. Not just, not hot anymore, but cold. I find that odd, but I heat it up when I get it home and that's every time also. Long story short, this is not a go to place , not at all, but they have the ability it to be, so in the meantime, I try it again every couple months or so because I crave the flavor but 99.9% of the time, I skip it because they could do so so so much better in the area of cleanliness, training on consistent portion allotment and food temperature standards

Visited this Chipotle two times for to-go in the same week on my family trip to Tahoe. With little appetizing options near the casinos/hotels besides the pricey spots, this was a good option. It was a standard chipotle that gave large portions. +1 for the value! Ordered a chicken bowl twice. The ingredients were pretty fresh and consistent to other Chipotle. But for one visit, the brown rice was undercooked (still hard). +1 still since that happened 1/2 visits. The interior including counters and tables were pretty clean. I did mobile pick up orders for both nights but the customer service was good. One night I ordered 20 minutes before close and both employees apologized for the wait. +2 Was starving both nights, so I inhaled everything before remembering to take a picture.

Came October 27th around 1pm. Food was standard as any chipotle with taste. Nice and friendly workers. Open space and light music in background. Came last time and got the same great service. Not sure why reviews are so low I've had great experience everytime.

This is not your typical Chipotle. Small portions, food didn't taste fresh and untidy food area. Bathrooms looked like they hadn't been clean in awhile. Clearly the owner has been out to lunch for quite sometime! I'll never go back.

We ordered through the app and it was a terrible experience. Picked the order up and it was only rice, beans, and guacamole. Weird, not what we ordered. Called them and the lady argued with us saying it's our fault, that we ordered wrong. Never been treated so terribly, she couldn't care less. Been to this location multiple times, gets worse each time. Never coming back.

One of the best chipotle locations I have been to. I am from Riverside CA and our chipotle on Central is terrible. My chicken was delicious and juicy, not overcooked. The guac here was actually green and the chips were fresh and crunchy. I mobile ordered and it was ready at the promised time. I love Chipotle!

Came in today for lunch and Jose was holding down the fort. He served everyone in line and the line just kept growing. There was a girl who supposed to be making online orders but instead of doing literally anything she was just wandering around aimlessly. Meanwhile, Jose is getting yelled at by customers who have been waiting to pick up their online orders while he is the ONLY employee busy serving everyone who is waiting in line at the same time. Jose really deserves a raise and some help. Our food was really good and I got hot and fresh crunchy tacos so I was stoked about that.

The most disappointing Chipotle I've ever come across. About 1:30pm on Sunday June 18th (non rush time) we went for a late lunch. Walking up there was trash all over the front of the store, we enter and the trash is over flowing, trash on the tables. We thought about leaving but figured we'd just make the most of it. We get up to order and the service was sad and slow. They were definitely skimping on serving sizes. Barely any white rice in my bowl even though I wasn't getting meat, my kid's white rice was also half the serving size, they can't wrap a freaking burrito and the queso we ordered was only 2/3 full. Ambiance was just terrible.

Worst chipotle experience I have ever had. Clearly none of the employees haven't been properly trained. They managed to mess up a burrito bowl and couldn't wrap a burrito. Food was cold as if it had been sitting out all day. The inside of the business was filthy. Clean house and hire trained employees or shit down shop. This location makes chipotle look very bad.

If you've done your research on me, you'll know that I've reviewed a Chipotle before. However hilarious that may be to you, I'll have you know that I've passed up on reviewing other Chipotles and other restaurants in the various states I've travelled to because none of those have exceeded or thoroughly humiliated my expectations. They were just plain what I expected. And that's good. You and I both know we won't review something that's three or four stars, but I digress... My experience at the new-to-me Chipotle in South Lake Tahoe was literally miles ahead of my expectations from the moment I walked in. Picture this: it's 7:30 on a Monday night. We walk in, the space is clean and orderly, with tables carefully shut down due to COVID, and there they were...a smiling staff greeting my partner and I like we were the most important people on earth. If that isn't 5-star worthy already for y'all at home, just wait. My partner walked up ahead of me and ordered what she was after, and you know what? They made sure it was exactly what she was after. That's stellar. Fast forward to me. Call me basic, call me gross for reviewing Chipotles, but I had an order that wasn't exactly on the menu. The nice gentleman at the counter wasn't exactly sure what I was after, but the gal working the grill walked up, told him what was up, and as they say "teamwork makes the dream work." Ladies and Gents and Xs, their team work made my dream work. The last time I had the balls to order what I ordered was about five years ago (I've been since, but I'm trying to paint a story here), and you know what? It was better than I remembered it. When the precisely polite young lady asked if it looked perfect, I bet you could guess my response. "That looks perfect!" Long story long, I had a great time, I crushed a great Chipotle burrito, and you bet your bottom dollar I will be back!

Just picked up my to-go order of a burrito and chips and guacamole. Got home and opened up my bag of chips and found the whole bag of chips to be burnt, not black but way too cooked, and burnt and having that burnt taste to them. Unfortunately, i live on the other side of town and not going to drive back especially with all the heavenly traffic coming down the mountain at this time. Be sure to check over your full order.

Very bad service. Workers are very rude and they yell at customers for standing to the right of the door when they want customers to be at the left of the door. I think as someone who wants to support the business and buy food from this restaurant; I don't believe that I should be yelled at for standing 6 feet away from other people by the door rather than standing outside where it's snowing. The one of the worker yelled at me telling me to stand outside because I couldn't stand on that side of the door he said because there can't be too many people in the store. So my boyfriend and I stood outside waiting for the line to move up and as we were waiting eight people walked in to use the restroom and they didn't get yelled at. Hi I'm just bothered by the service here. And my food was cold it only took 10 minutes for me to drive my tacos home. I think the girl that made my tacos placed the tortillas in a cold grill. Upsetting, I was so sure it would taste good. The bad service made my food taste even worse.

I tried the new Carne Asada two weeks ago, and the meat was terrible. It was hard and it looked like it was cut with some sort of a machine. Each piece of meat is the same shape and thickness. Usually Carne Asada is with flank steak or something very similar. in this case it was so tough. I didn't eat anymore and threw the rest of the meat away. Before that they had chicken al Pastor and it was delicious. I ate it probably five or six times but it was at a different chipotle. I wish they would bring that flavor back..

We walked in at 9:15pm and we walked right out as the 3 workers in there clearly were not looking for more business to end the night. Absolutely RUDE. We love Chipotle and so far we never had a bad experience. We been to different cities, states and things are different yes, but service and quality is always there. Well, I guess not in S Tahoe, this Chipotle is operating on a different planet. 2 Adults and 2 Teenagers came in to order 4 Bowls. 1. Employees did not greed us. Not even a smile. 2. Seemed like we were disturbing their break time and we were there to serve them. 3. "Please and thank you" was coming from our side of the counter and nothing back. 4. THEY WERE OUT OF FOOD. Not one item, but 4 items. Never in my life this happened. 5. "Computer had issues too" and They ringed us up wrong. Nothing works there at all I guess. Even the computers are on their own time. 6. We paid, took our food and left. Never will be back to this location and you too plz stay away.

I came to this location on a Saturday night. It was empty inside but I could tell they were processing a lot of online orders. There seemed to be only 2 people working on orders which was definitely not enough. They ran out of steak and guacamole when I was making my order. I was disappointed. The work area looked unsanitary like no one had time to clean...I get that it's busy but it's important to clean as you go. I'm someone who has a sensitive stomach so I was concerned about cross contamination. I still ordered food for my party but I decided to just grab something from Whole Foods nearby for dinner.

Went in to store to order dinner with my wife. Employees had no idea what they were doing. My wife and I waited 25+ minutes with only 3 customers in front of us. The store was completely out of black beans, white rice and chicken with no refill in sight. The rice was not seasoned, no salt, no lime and no cilantro. Store was completely out of chips and Employee working register scoffed at my wife when she asked for chips and he had to go to the back and make them. Employees displayed zero urgency with being out of ingredients and being backed up with customers and online orders. The older gentleman that assisted my wife and in the chipotle made a VERY sexist remark to my wife. Stating that" she makes zero money and enjoys putting her name on everything but using my money to pay for it all." Completely unacceptable. Horrible customer service at this store. The only person that I have good things to say about is the female supervisor. She was somehow everywhere at once and doing her best to keep the store afloat with zero help. She is an amazing supervisor and she is very much appreciated.

The food was great as usual. The issue was I ordered a veg bowl but they added a few chicken pieces to the bowl. When I pointed it out they started blaming me that i might have mixed up on my orders. I wasn't even looking for a refund but just a courteous apology. The employee was shamelessly blaming me for the 'mix up'. Absolutely disappointed.

We have not eaten at a Chipotle in about 2 years. On vacation... stopped for some good food. Told them my daughter and I have allergies. She and I are Celiac. They got out special corn tortillas, changed their gloves and wiped the prep area... but that was where the allergy safety ended. The only other thing they did was get a different spoon... to spoon out the ingredients... from the already contaminated containers of food (meat, cheese, etc. We are the food anyway, and my daughter was vomiting that night (which is what happens when she has gluten). It was the only place we had "eaten out" in 2-3 days... so we know it was the Chipotle tacos. Food was good. But if you have severe allergies... you should pass.
