I would be very careful everyone! We frequent this place at least once a month or so. The portions are usually good and the food is fresh. However, we might not return anymore as I almost cracked a tooth last night on a huge bone hiding in my chicken bowl. I’m not sure how such a large piece could be missed. This is a huge and preventable issue.

8:30pm, To come to chipotle and get a poor service from the lady that was serving the toppings was quite unpleasant. It wasn’t super busy. I felt like I was rushed to order and when I did pick she skipped the cheese and never asked if I was finished picking toppings. She just closed the container and pushed it off to the side, although I was still picking. While she was covering it I asked for lettuce, and just point to the corner referring to the tiny cups… didn’t bother to just take the cover off that was half way put on in the first place. To make things worse the food was cold. To whom the manger is, your employee needs a classes on customer service and their hours cut because they cut my food short lmaoooo

I have been ordering from and coming to this location for years and I’m happy to say I’m never coming back. I was willing to overlook the blatant lack of consistency in quality, service and overall experience that infests this location for the convenience relative to my location. However, my experience this week has ensured my commitment to the location on Willowbrook, which is considerably more consistent with their product and service. I originally placed an order through the UberEats app for a burrito, chips, and a kids carnitas quesadilla for my 3 year old son who was very hungry and excited to eat his carnitas quesadilla after a long day. When I opened what I thought was going to be a kids carnitas quesadilla and found what you are seeing in the attached image I was shocked and upset. I say with no embellishment that what I received in the attached image was the worst execution of a basic sandwich I’ve ever witnessed in my life. I have actually personally witnessed a severely mentally disabled child execute a quesadilla far superior to this one. When I showed my very tired and hungry 3 year old son his ‘quesadilla’ he said, “What is that!?” And proceeded to get very sad and start crying. He couldn’t seem to rationalize how or why someone, an adult, would prepare a meal for a child in such a way. I mean they’d have to be completely and totally selfish as well as incompetent. Hard to imagine someone like that even exists… anyway this is not even the end of the story. So now it’s almost 8 pm and my 3 year old son is tired, hungry and crying because of this Chipotle. My sons mother drives to the chipotle (while she was trying to help her elderly mother) with the receipts, pictures and screen shots; in hopes that this situation may be resolved and our son fed. The manager makes her wait and argues with her back and forth in front of customers to pay for the new quesadilla, despite being shown more than all of the adequate proof and the quesadilla having been made less than an hour before. Her reasoning being that “it’s not showing in the system” when she knows full well the system takes hours to be able to search an order as it has to be processed and cataloged by both the slow uber eats servers and the ultra mega slow chipotle servers. But clearly that was just an attempt to bully this customer into paying and feigning ignorance rather than take any accountability (how typical lol iykyk) because she eventually just dropped the act and finally let us have the kids quesadilla we paid for almost 3 hours previous.

This is a busy location. I did take off a star because the person starting the order did not understand what we meant when we asked for gluten free. Fortunately my husband did not have a gluten reaction. He did ask for the chipotle chicken and got the regular chicken but it was extremely busy (5pm) so he just let it go. Our servings were normal so we had no complaints on that!

I visited you between 3:00-3:30 PM on 4/21 and had a highly frustrating experience due to rude and unprofessional service from the cashier. Upon approaching the register, instead of a greeting or "How can I help you?" the cashier abruptly asked, "What do you need?" in a dismissive tone. I scanned my rewards for chips and guac, and she handed me the chips but told a coworker to make the guacamole. When I pointed out that the coworker didn't hear her, the cashier ignored me and proceeded to ring up seven other customers, leaving me waiting. Despite my attempts to get her attention, she continued to disregard me. I had to ask another food prep worker to assist, which should not have been necessary. This experience was incredibly frustrating and made me feel undervalued as a customer. I expect better service from Chipotle, especially for a rewards member. Please address this issue with the staff at this location and let me know how you'll ensure it doesn't happen again. I look forward to your response.

I tried SO many times to like this Chipotle but the quality fluctuates so wildly that I just cannot recommend. I have just received my third burrito bowl in a row (over the span of a few months) with rice so crunchy and mealy that it's inedible. If you like Chipotle salads I guess you'd be okay here since the salsas and proteins tend to be good (at least up to the bar of a Chipotle - I've had my fair share in Manhattan for what that's worth) but it makes eating a generally good looking bowl like this a literal minefield with the terrible rice. There are too many other good places that are close like Tacos Locos or Bubbakoos for you to have to suffer like I did.

The last few times we have been here between 8-8:30 pm they have run out of items for the evening. I find it hard to believe that they are completely out when they are open till 10:00. there is no asking if you would like to wait for 5 minutes while we refill ...just a rush to get you to move on. There is an attitude if you ask if it will be refilled and a bare mumble of a response at best. The food is slopped in the plate and shoved down the path. I understand these are hourly workers but I have been to fast food and like places where servers are kind and helpful. if your craving something in particular do not count on this location having it.

On friday I visited Chipotle restaurant in west Orange NJ around 4:30pm........once again no chicken was ready....girl was actually scraping the bottom of the pan......no onions or peppers was ready.... How can this restaurant don't have anything prepare on a FRIDAY night.....The manager was sitting down eating I guess he was on break/lunch he had no idea what was going on ....SHAME on chipotle will not be visiting no time soon. Please hire more help you have one person taking your order and preparing the whole meal .

Simple and Easy. I ordered a bowl and burrito through their app on a Saturday evening. When I went to pick it up everything was correct for both items and done before I arrived 10 minutes later. In and out with no problems. Chipotle is still good, but there's a reason I don't eat from there as much as I use to. The ingredients are just boring, even with the occasional seasonal add-ins. I like my local Mexican places better for more variety. Also, I need to mention that the portions were fine as you can see. This is something I have never had a problem with at this location. Overall, everything was fine, but I'm not blown away like I use to with so many other options out there.

Diarrhea is back! I've long since given up on any Chipotle location but some members of my family are still hitting them up. And this place stinks. Dirty. Poorly managed. Half of the fountain drinks don't work. And.... Yep! Diarrhea is back! For all those who ate there. So, if you like diarrhea, you'll love Chipotle in West Orange.

This chipotle is HORRIBLE. DO NOT COME HERE. Not anything with the food, but the workers are incompetent and rude, they give horrible portions and dont have what they advertise half the time. Also why do I have to order a quesadilla online? They messed up my order, i told him to put a certain topping on and put two of the wrong ones on before he got thw right one and then proceeded to try and charge me for the Honey Chicken which THEY DONT HAVE RIGHT NOW. Got mad at the lady when i said u guys dont even have that and she told me to chill. Should've made their dumb asses re do my entire order but I was starving. I am pissed and will not be returning, neither should you. Only good thing here is the rootbeer for the soda fountain

I've been coming to this location for quite a while as I am local to the area. I've noticed over the years that the quality of this Chipotle has gotten worse! From using lettuce that are visibly bad, to literally two drops of dressing being in the cups, to giving the smallest half a scoop of meat! But today really was one of my worst experiences! I just left a few moments ago & they were moving like it was a weekday lunch rush! There was literally 2 people behind me but they were asking like there were 1000 ppl behind me & i could absolutely understand that. But that was not the case. I could even see if it was closing time and i came in but again that wasn't the case as they close at 11pm. They were moving the bowl so far along that they were yelling from down the line all the way to the beginning asking what i wanted in my bowl! I had to ask them to slow down and they seemed annoyed, tried lying about there being no more of the spicy chicken.

I've been to Chipotles all over the East Coast, and I easily spend over $10,000 a year on their food. This location stands out as one of the best! The team here runs a tight ship, the food is always fresh, and the service is top-notch. Anthony, the GM, does an incredible job keeping everything running smoothly. Truly my favorite spot!

Sometimes sheer convenience of location is not enough. I've been to this Chipotle a couple times the past few months and it can be best described as a crapshoot when it comes to quality. It literally comes down to which employees are working on that certain day. I ordered via online last night since I was coming home from errands and I was greeted by disappointment. I'm going to post a photo of what I ordered and what I actually got. There was no fajita veggies to be found and the sour cream was nonexistent. I could understand if it was a busy night (which it was not, it was empty) and they happened to run out of the fajita veggies but to not even have sour cream was a laugh. Predictably the rice was cold as if it had been sitting there awhile to top off the disappointing time. There is a completely understandable standpoint that customers drive to a certain location based on convenience. Who wants to drive 20 minutes rather 10 minutes? In the case of this Chipotle, you are better off trying your luck in either East Hanover or another location more convenient to you. I've been burned one too many times to attempt and recommend this place by any stretch. Beware.

They charged me 22 dollars for "double chicken" and I literally counted 7-9 small pieces of chicken on the tortilla. There was literally more lettuce and tortilla than there was anything else. UPDATE: Before leaving, my girlfriend wanted me to get her a fountain drink for the road so as I was waiting in line the guy who scooped out my pieces of chicken and apparently heard me complain asked me "how I liked my double chicken?" then proceeded to talk to his co-worker in Spanish and directly stared at me with his buddy and laughed. I don't speak Spanish but I do know when someone is making fun of me, overall I just think this establishment is horrible and would just encourage anyone to steer clear to be honest.

Last two times was awful. So disappointed because all the other times were great! The rice was like sticky sushi rice, dry all stuck in clumps together. The chicken was so dry it just was so bad. Abd the avacado was so dark spoiled disgusting!! How can they pass inspection in west orange gets me. Wake up get some real people in there that want to work. Everyone looked lazy and had no work ethic!!!! You get one star

Updating my review from 2022, where one of my issues was that the soda machine was broken. I returned to this location after taking a break for about a year, stopping twice in the last month... sure enough, the machine had no ice once and wasn't working a second time. Hello, manager... you are losing MONEY!

This is a solid Chipotle. Over the past few months, I've placed mobile orders for pick-up at this location a bunch of times. On the occasion that the orders got messed up, the staff have been helpful with fixing the order and glad to help out. My only tip is, when you pick up your order, look through the bag to make sure you have everything and the correctly labeled items are in there.

I go feral for a chipotle bowl NORMALLY. I usually get extra sour cream and pica de gallo. she served on the sour cream but slacked with the 2 extra tomatoes. AND i did say extra for the pico de gallo. i was disappointed with my bowl and felt guilty to ask her for more. I placed a pickup order through the app. Within five minutes my order was ready which was wonderful. When I got my bag I noticed the chips were missing and had to ask for them. When I got home, I noticed that we received brown guacamole. We didn't eat it because I've never seen fresh guacamole look like this, and I don't know how long it was sitting out or if it was bad. This is not the kind of guac you serve to people. The two burrito bowls we got were good though! Not sure if I'll be back to this specific location based on this experience, but besides the sketchy guac it was a good experience.

There are some places that I don't ever bother checking reviews for. This Chipotle is seriously making me reconsider that life decision. My boyfriend and I grabbed a really late lunch here via pickup and it was a mess. There were barely any ingredients in the salad and what meager lettuce was included wasn't drained properly and was drowning in water and sour cream. Gross. Do yourself a favor and drive 30 seconds down the parking lot to Cava, Shake Shack, or Chik fil A.

The service was disgusting and my food was subpar. I don't know who trained these people on customer service but they did a terrible job. I was not pleased with the way my food was prepared. I ordered a steak (carne asada) quesadilla as I often do with fajita vegetables. They made it without the veggies and when I politely pointed this out I was rudely informed that I could not have it that way because they don't put anything on their quesadillas other than cheese and protein. I insisted that I order it this way all of the time and it's never been an issue. I didn't think it was an insane request. This woman with braces and a bad attitude interjects that she is the manager and she's here every day and they don't do that. In what world is it acceptable to argue with a paying customer over something so trivial? If I didn't have a hungry child with me who was so excited to have chipotle I would have left the incorrectly prepared food and walked out but I took the food and paid as not to upset my special needs son. This unacceptable customer service on the part of both the staff and the management will make sure that I never come back to this location again and I will be sure to let my neighbors on the West Orange town page know that the customer service here is nonexistent.

Order is wrong every. single. time. Just ordered and my order could not have been ANY more wrong. It has to be that they put my order sticker on the wrong bowl because there is absolutely NO way someone could have read my order and gave me what I got in front of me. There are only two ingredients that were correct in my bowl. Two ingredients out of the 7. And that must have been by chance. Its absolutely ridiculous! Ive been to this location in person twice and the crew is abysmal. It was years ago but I have no doubt its the same kind of young, loud and disorderly crew operating. I believe they hire at 16? The manager must also be young and awful too if this kind of low quality service is still happening. I dont order from this location again. If you want what you asked for, you have to go in person, I believe. Sad.

Customer service is good, the workers are very sweet. I just wish portions could be a bit bigger for certain items. Why is a double chicken portion a normal portion size but a single portion is like a table spoon of chicken? Ya need to loosen up on the workers and let them make my bowl look appetizing

Chipotle is always a go to good meal for me but not this time. I ordered tacos, a burrito bowl and guacamole & chips. For some reason the chicken in the tacos was so salty it wasn't edible and the guacamole was definitely either sitting out too long or just bad. I won't be ordering from this chipotle anymore.

i love chipotle and i order at least once a week but since moving to this area a couple months ago ive never wanted to have it again. everytime i order or go to this location they are rude, it is dirty, the food is cold, the rice is always undercooked, the portions are less then half full i am so angry that your prices have gone up and i am paying $14 for an inedible bowl. something needs to change this is unacceptable in this economy you are losing many loyal customers

Been going to this chipotle consistently for more than a year now and I have to say they are good 90% of the time, which are great stats for a "fast-food" place. The place looks like it's overflowing with staff but they seem to be too busy though to get your order in as per the promised time. The portions are generous, the staff is courteous and quite apologetic when your order doesn't get delivered on time. Removed one star because the place is never clean. Someone needs to be paying more attention to cleaning the tables, floor, and the sauces counter. Removed the other star because of the delays in the order. A 10-12 min extra wait is ok, but having to wait 20-25 mins every time even though I placed a mobile order well in advance is not OK!

How can it take so long to make something that is considered fast food? No one in store, only Online ordering 730 ready 745. Cool. Reality, get there at 745 and people have been waiting for over an hour outside. They just started working on 7pm orders. Why not turn off your online ordering then or give more time between orders or better yet, crazy idea, wild thought here... add more STAFF!!! Oh and everyone waiting was threatened by the staff member that if you have an issue to take it outside and he walked outside. Was told we can cancel online and you cannot. How you going to make people wait 45 mins past the order pick up time. The girl helping at the door was nice but just ridiculous, unorganized and inaccurate time response. Get your shit together chipotle. You should of been helping the people waiting, not working on orders for people who already left because you took so long!!! Poor management. OH and now that I got home and opened my "new" quesadilla with my 3 sides is not even what I should have received.

Good evening I just left this restaurant and the young lady and gentleman that prepared my bowl were very nice and polite. With my bowl I added romaine lettuce and the young man closed my bowl up and I was ready to be rung up before the young lady rang me up I asked he may I have a side of dressing and she was very rude and nasty said we ran out and told me my total, however the guest before me received a side of dressing I also asked was there any other type of dressing and she nastily said NO. I don't know maybe she was having a bad night or someone upset her but she should not be ringing guest up with that type and of attitude, I was already prepared to pay extra for the side of dressing I only asked because i added lettuce. The manager or team leader needs to speak with that young lady and do some customer service retraining. Thank you

I had an awful experience here! I received the wrong order and waited an hour for my new order! Once I waited the manager or associate told me I was holding up the line and that it was my fault. He asked me to leave! I was embarrassed! What kind of business are you running here. I called and was redirected and ignored! I demand a refund and an apology! I will be seeking legal action!

They are so beyond disorganized here. Our pick up order was supposed to be ready at 6 and they don't even let you inside and there were legit 20+ people waiting for their late orders. It took over 30 min and you can't even stay warm while you wait. AWFUL. get it together chipotle! You guys can do better than this. Awful customer service.

I've been burned by this location so many times. Moral of the story: don't go here unless you personally watch them make your food. The last 3 times I have ordered ahead of time, they either flat out didn't make the order at all, gave me somebody else's order, or made my order so incorrect that it may as well have been another person's order. The last order I placed was a combo of all 3. I get there (5 mins after my set pickup time) and wait 15 mins in the cold only to have to repeat my name to the one runner 3 times. Finally I'm given the wrong order. After getting home, I call (get no response), go back and explain the situation, only to wait another half hour just to get THE WRONG ORDER AGAIN. This establishment is not run well. I know the employees are trying their best, but there seemed to be several high school aged employees with no management / leadership.

Wow. This is the most pathetic, fraudulent experience I have ever had ordering food. This is what Chipotle is doing for the BOGO deal during a pandemic. The first photo is after I mixed it up looking for the black beans that I ordered (there are about four beans total) and the approximately 1/4 of rice. This is disgusting, disappointing, and beyond disrespectful to customers.

You're craving Chipotle so does it really matter what I say? You know you'll end up here anyway! This location is probably the saddest one I've been to. Too busy and definitely understaffed. The staff was rushing to get a huge mobile order done while myself and about 10-15 other customers waited in line. In the process, they cross contaminated just about everything on the counter.

I live literally 5 minutes away.. the guacamole is already brown.. and the chips appear to be store brought.. they are not there usual chips they are a brownish color.. have no salt or lime in them.. Started coming here after multiple issues with the Bloomfield location (poor food quality, disorganized pickup process, lack of caring among employees). Quote the contrary, food/prep at this location is consistent, pickup process is organized, and employees are very nice. Couple minor errors but I can forgive them as they are overall a solid location. My go-to Chipotle.

Worst services ever!!! Customer service needs to tremendously improve. They took one of our orders and then started doing all the web orders. After waiting for 10 minutes a bunch of us just left. The manager never apologized for the long wait nothing. The line was backed up to the door. This will be the first and last time at this spot. Y'all can keep it.

This Chipotle is a disappointment every time, constantly bad. The food is never as tasty as others Chipotles and the presentation is awful. I ordered a bowl and paid for 2x chicken and it was not added. I asked for extra sour cream and it was drowned. This location should be shuttered

I've been to this chipotle a handful of times and it's been mediocre every time. I come here because it's the closest to where I work and like alot of people I enjoy the food when done right. But yesterday....the bowl I got, however it was prepared, ingredients stored before whatever it was has caused me to be sick. Even today I'm still struggling.. can't keep any food in my body, within minutes of eating I'm running right to the bathroom. Apparently someone else at my office suffered the same thing just a few months ago and when they do want chipotle they go somewhere else. Do yourself a favor, there's another chipotle 10 more minutes away if you have the time. Can't be any worse

I came in with low expectations seeing the other reviews.. but was not completely let down. The location isn't as dirty as seen in some other reviews (unless I came on a really good day) but it looks kind of unfinished in there, as if they're remodeling. There is large wood panel wall with no pictures or posters or anything just a plan wall. Not a big deal I suppose if you're getting take out, but if your dining in I'm sure no one wants to see that and there was a decent crowd dining in. The line was long but moved fairly fluidly, I clocked it at 4 min. 19s until I got to the register to pay. So I've seen faster but it wasn't the worst. The food prep team was ok, but one of them got a bit snide briefly because I thought she pointed to the wrong order. There were quite a few burrito bowls in front of her so I was just being cautious she was holding the right one before dumping toppings on I didn't want. My biggest dissatisfaction with this place is that my food was hardly warm. Granted I got takeout, but between the bowl and aluminum lid it should keep the food good and hot. Also the portions were a letdown. The last chipoltle I visited they stuffed my bowl full of food, but they skimped out here, especially with the meat. So from what I can tell, there is a lot of room for improvement.

This Chipotle location has charged me for chips and queso yet never includes it in my bag on countless occasions. The lettuce is dirty and yellow, and they have messed up more order more times than they have gotten it correct. There is no management, no one is held accountable at this store for anything. Go to a different location !!! You will regret ordering from this place.

West Orange NJ Chipotle is consistently bad. Orders consistently wrong when you order delivery. Chips always stale. Tonight the vegetables were raw. I always loved chipotle but this place has soured my opinion.

Waayyyy too much salt. I went here for a quick healthy, vegetarian meal, but yuck! So much salt in the rice and beans... :(

I don't know why anyone would give this such negative reviews for such a busy place I never saw a staff work so quickly together and at the same time be so friendly It was my first time ever in a Chipotle I'm very much into eating out and boehmite but I am very weird with Mexican food because I do not eat red meat and I do not like onions or peppers so I've always had a difficult time with Mexican restaurants in general but it was basically like a subway and I had control over what went on my husbands burrito and what had gone on my sons burrito If anything I thought that the customers in there were the ones deserving I love reading but it's a good thing it isn't that episode of "black mirror" Where they use their iPhone apps to rate people, Great episode by the way Anyway I saw that they were very friendly and working fast and Simultaneously cleaning up I put a tip in the jar. I was trying to check in on yelp and told the girl I was sorry I was trying to check-in on Yelp to see if they had any offers and that this was my first time. They were gracious and welcomed me with a sweet incentive to come back. I won't go into details because I don't want anyone to mimic. And I was pleasantly surprised, only because I had no expectations of this place at all but it would have gotten a five star regardless because I did take a piece of my sons burrito it was chicken rice and cheese with some sour cream and it was good the chicken had a nice little kick to it I noticed that the calorie count is very high in these things so it's not a place that I would eat it regularly. But it deserved a 5 star
