On the Grid : Chiquitito

"Chiquitito is a beautiful, cozy coffee shop where you can have one of the best specialty coffee expressos. This fair trade mexican business takes care of the whole process beginning with their relationship with the producer and the way they treat coffee beans to the barista training and the cup that you will enjoy in the end. I highly recommend to try Chiquitito Coffee, which mixes an espresso shot with condensed milk: absolutely delicious. Besides, they have a great selection of magazines to read while you are enjoying one of the best cups of coffee of the city." - Arlette Go

"It was only a matter of time before Mexico City got its own hipster fair-trade artisanal café, and this teensy one couldn't be more on point when it comes to sustainability. As the name implies, the perfectly roasted and brewed espresso comes from a small grower in the state of Veracruz, which is famous for its coffee. Fittingly, they serve up a great café con leche, a warm and sweet milky coffee drink that's famous in that part of the country, along with cappuccinos, matcha lattes, chai teas, and more."

very very quaint place! here’s the menu :) delicious food and amazing coffee; they do true pour-overs and special brews, americanos and cold brews. i really enjoyed my experience. the toast has red pepper flakes so beware that can be a bit spicy. not a lot of seating, and the tables on the road are slanted so not the best for enjoying something you might need to cut. overall cute and yummy.

Tiny café that was open on New Year's Day. We felt lucky to find someone open as many shops were closed. The coffee was really great and the shop has a hole in the wall vibe but is also very polished. The standout was the morning bun we ordered - crusty, cinnamon sugar with a soft bready inside. Would love to come back.

Tiny place with great coffee. Slightly loud on the busy street, but great coffee and pastries.

I searching for best coffee in the area and found one next to mine in Condesa, ice Americano tasted just like water, feel like doesn’t have coffee in there, pasty look good, my ice Americano probably 1 star, but service give for 5 very friendly staff, might give another chance to try, other coffee might be good. Maybe I just went best top 5 cafe in each country in South America a bit too fuzz. But overall it ok for me. Really nice area, outside seating was so relaxing in the morning. Edited review: I just want coffee tasted like coffee, the one I received just like water. Thank. That why I had 3 sipped and walk away.

I’ve stopped by twice while doing my laundry across the street. I’ll have to return for coffee sometime but I’m writing to express my satisfaction with the chocolatín. Each time has been the best chocolatín I’ve ever had. It is fresh, light, flaky but not crunchy, bready, not too buttery, the perfect amount of chocolate, and not too sweet. The baristas are also kind and attentive.

Great small space for coffee with a relaxing atmosphere. They have a few tables outside. The espresso tonic tastes great and is refreshing.

Our favorite coffee shop in CDMX. Came in 2018 and we’ve been every visit since. It’s so incredible to see how this cafe has grown. They now offer an outside patio. We’ve only had cafe and pan. Great atmosphere, great coffee, great people

It is my favorite coffee shop for 6 years, I take my "cortadito" every day. The attention and warmth of the baristas is unmatched, they are wonderful people that I consider my friends, especially Irvin. In all this time I have not had a single problem in the quality of my coffee or food, nor in the service. Its staff is very committed to serving quality drinks. Perhaps the only problem is that it is filling up with rude foreigners who have no intention of speaking Spanish or being nice with the staff or the locals.
