Great service, hostess was very nice and sat us right away. Seating is comfortable and booth and table seating available. I got the special noodle, and my wife got the drunken noodle. Both were very delicious, and held true to expectations. Atmosphere is cool, you feel like the place has some genuine character. It’s not trying to be anything it’s not.. it’s just a cool place. 10/10 Waitress was great and food came out fast and hot… also medium spice is spicy.. maybe that’s just me.. not bad just hot and tasty. Will be coming back and taking more friends!

This has been my favorite restaurant for so many years, maybe 16 years (They once had a location on abercorn). Amazing food, amazing owners and workers, extremely cozy. I absolutely love this place. To add, you don't have to get your food spicy, but I think they definitely have the highest, best spice level in savannah, if you order it that way of course. I love the dry spices hereee. The special noodles and kalua pig with cabbage are usual my go tos, but I enjoy so much more. Try it out!

I have gone here since they first opened off Abercorn. I moved away 10 years ago and every time I come back I come here. Well I have moved back to the area and took my husband here. I love Thai food but it never compares to this place. We have traveled all over the world and I’m always comparing it to Chiriya’s. My husband was definitely impressed and now understands my love for this place. You will never have a bad dish here! Truly the best Thai food you will ever have!

10/10!!!! I live in an area with dozens of Thai restaurants and this tops every place I’ve ever been too. It had so many options for myself as a vegetarian but everything smelled so good that I even tried chicken and it was incredible. The presentation of everything is stunning. Best food I’ve had here visiting Savannah!

I love this place. I meet friends here monthly for a book club and we are so well taken care of. The food is always delicious and spiced just as we request. We are a plant based group and they accommodate us wonderfully. The drunken noodles are fantastic.

The place is a little hard to spot from the road as it's tucked in there. But the place inside is very lively and has a good vibe. Some Thai decor, but caters to a larger audience. Ordered the Spicy Basil with Tofu. The pepper was not mixed in very well and the sauce could have been a bit thicker, but it tasted good. The Tofu was fried well. The vegetables were tasty, but I would have preferred them to be a bit more crunchy. Good portion. The Panang curry was excellent. We also ordered the drunken noodle and a tom yum soup. I didn't have it, but someone else in my party said it was too sweet for them... particularly the soup. Overall, it's a decent place to stop, but would definitely suggest you tune your dish to your liking.

The food is phenomenal but the staff was even better! Even Chiriya herself came to our table and was a blast to talk to. Very allergen friendly, they were able to acomodate me being gluten free and vegan. Vibes were great in the restaurant!

Run from this place! I know this is Savannah，but it's not outer space! I should have left when I saw Mango & Sticky rice being priced $15.99. Food is SOOO overpriced here, and I've had better Thai foods for sure. $5 for a tiny bowl of jasmine rice? Come on! People are not here just for your cute flower decoration on their plates. And, they were ready to kick me out when I even had food in my mouth, the place was not even a third full.

I came here with a friend. As my first time I am in love!!! The flavors of my drunk elephant noodles were so amazing and with a little bit of heat! The staff was so nice and the atmosphere was so cozy. My friends dish was very spicy but still really good! Word of the wise the tai hot...is VERY hot!

The service was very good and we were seated in a cute corner booth for two. The meals look great but we found the taste just average. My better half orders chicken Pad Thai often and found the taste off compared to many. I found their special noodles rather bland. The vegetables were small and overcooked. Specials on the board were the same as posted in other posts for the last several months and seem expensive at $30-50. All appetizers/desserts were $10 with their special dessert $15. We did not try any but seemed a bit expensive for a local Thai restaurant.

The Tom Yom Soup is so freking awesome that you'll want the soup as the base for dishes that doesn't even use it as it's stock. This stuff is drinking worthy. Oooh, Yeahhh! Over & Out FranknKimm

We ordered takeout from Chiriya this weekend after deciding we did not want to venture downtown for Thai food. Staff member who took our order over the phone was super helpful and pleasant. She gave us her personal recommendations and made sure to walk us through spice levels when choosing a dish which was super nice of her. We got the Steamed dumplings, drunken noodles (Hot) and Yellow Curry (Medium). Steamed dumplings were good, with a thick filling. Hoisin sauce did could definitely use some chili oil or something in there - it was plain. The drunken noodles were delicious and vegetables fresh, but even ordering hot it was not spicy for us (we LOVE spice, so a normal individual may think it's quite spicy!). Highlight for me was the yellow curry, which had a fantastic heat level. The potatoes and vegetables were cooked perfectly. We also ordered a Thai tea, and if you've never had one, order one. It's delicious and refreshing - a great summer drink! We will definitely be returning.

Went here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by everything. Our server was very quick with drink refills, and the food came out fast. The summer rolls were so light and fresh. I got Chiriya's special noodles, "Thai hot"...apparently I ate it easily enough, so I can try Scorpion Hot next time if I want .

Absolutely outstanding food quality. Maybe the best Thai we've ever had. I had the Drunken noodles, chicken, medium. Medium is right on the edge of hot, for me, but it was an incredible taste. Plenty hot (temp) too as it was fresh for sure. Wife had noodle special, chicken, medium. Hers wasn't quite as spicy and had a more sweet overall flavor than mine. Fresh summer rolls were good, sauce was excellent. We've found our new favorite Thai restaurant in Savannah. We will definitely be back!!!! Thai tea was a great closer, too.

We were looking for a lunch spot after going to Wormsloe. Saw the great reviews Chiriya was getting and decided to try it out. Chiriya is located a few miles from Bonaventure cemetery (another place to visit). The restaurant is well decorated with a lot of Thai items. We came in after the lunch rush and was seated right away. Believe she is the owner and was friendly and sociable. We started with Tom Yum Shrimp. It was good although a tad sweet. Cook may be from South Thailand where dishes are sweeter in general. Plenty of shrimp for us to share. Ordered the pork basil and was good. It had some edible flowers on top. Nice touch. My wife ordered the pad Thai. This is one of the best Pad Thai I've had. The egg on the pad Thai was amazing even better than the chicken. I had originally mistaken it for chicken as it was in big pieces. Tasty and crunchy all at the same time. In short, make sure to order Pad Thai when you visit!

Loved! The portions are GREAT and the waitress was so so friendly, would come again for sure.

Great gluten free options. We had Pad Thai noodles and the Hawaiian pork and they were excellent. Very knowledgeable about gluten free.

Took some friends here for lunch today. Everything we got was fantastic. The menu is clear, and the lady who took our order was knowledgeable about the dishes. We had a vegetarian in our group and she made sure the chef knew and didn't use anything with fish sauce in it. There were at least 10 other people eating and no one was talking because they were enjoying their meals to much! We never felt rushed while eating and will definitely be going there again.

The food at this restaurant was very tasty yet pricey. We had an issue with the long wait we had for our food. We watched as several diners who had come in sometime after us get served ate and left before our meal was brought out to us. The restaurant itself was clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. I may give them another chance in the future.

After a long day of helping a friend move we were starving and wanted some Thai so we decided to go to Chiriya. Chiriya was a really cool place! This was only my second time eating Thai food some I wasn't sure what to get. The waitress kindly walked me through the entire menu to help me decide on what I wanted. I ended up going with the Ginger chicken Stir-Fry. It was sooooo good. The combination of ginger and chicken was splendid. It was a very hearty and refreshing meal. Chiriya was a great place and I will definitely be back!

The atmosphere is very nice. We'll lit but soft lighting. Staff was welcoming and service was very good. Somewhat pricey but I feel the portions made up for that. We enjoyed our food and thought it was very good. Overall recommend if you are in the area looking for some Thai/Hawaiian fusion food

First time in; the place has a somewhat quirky vibe, a cross between an Asian restaurant and a tiki lounge? Greeted and seated immediately. Large menu a little hard to consume for the 1st time. Ordered are dishes and the spice level is scary. I like spicy food but was warned. Thai hot is too hot for most, so just Hot ? Was talked down to medium, well medium had my stomach churning all night. Overall a great meal, but figuring out the levels of hot is challenging ( which steals the 5th star). Will be back to try mild

We went here for the first time. I wanted Thai food. The larking gets a little difficult, but the restaurant is super cute. The service was really great. We ordered the spring rolls to start. Also got the Thai tea, which is good, but whipped cream is not needed. I liked that they cut them to let some of the heat out because they were still scalding hot. We order the atom Yum and Tom Ka soups, which needed to be a tad less sweet in my opinion. I ordered the social noodles, and was disappointed when I got them and 1. They were very sweet and that is not indicated on the menu 2. I asked for Medium spicy and there was no spicy in them. I'll probably come back and try something else because my husbands ginger stir fried chicken was really good.

We sort of stumbled across this place while gassing up our car a couple of doors down. It was lunchtime anyway, and we were en route between Tybee Island Beach and Wormsloe Historic Site. We visited around 11:45 a.m. on a Friday. They seemed to be at about half capacity. There was one lady serving all the tables but she kept on top of things. The menu seemed fairly standard for Thai places. I got the drunken noodle and it was good; the portion size was not overwhelming and I didn't have leftovers. My wife like her dish as well. This was the better of the 2 Thai places we tried on our visit to Savannah.

I love it when I find little Gems in the Towns I'm visiting. Chiriya was excellent. Great Thai food. I think the owner was the only one servicing the entire restaurant around lunch time. She did an amazing job.

Went in on Tuesday and had the lunch salmon salad and it was delicious! My friend got the fried pineapple shrimp rice and was completely delighted. We will be back

Decent food and service but somewhat pricey for the amount of food you get. I came with three friends on our visit to Savannah and we all love Thai food. The place seemed to be doing a booming carry out business but not many other tables dining in. We also ate at an off time. Our server was nice and we were seated right away. I felt safe here given they seem to be taking COVID seriously, mandating masks and keeping things clean. I ordered wontons for an appetizer. They were very good and stuffed full of fluffy cream cheese. Three of us ordered pineapple curry. It was really just the red curry with pineapple chunks. The curry was good, but it didn't have much chicken. It did have a good level of heat for me. A friend ordered the pad see ew, and it was made with red curry paste which is unusual. It was almost like she got the red curry with noodles instead of rice. Some of the specials sounded good, lamb massaman and duck curry, but they were close to $30, which seemed expensive. We were served quickly and the food was good but not mind-blowing.

There is never a bad time for Thai cuisine, right? We found the little secret on our last trip to Savannah, Georgia. Chiriya Thai Cuisine is actually in Thunderbolt, a community just 15 minutes outside of Savannah. We knew things were promising from the moment we walked in. The place was clean, nicely decorated and smelled delicious. We both ordered the beef Pad Thai, fresh summer roles, and deep fried spring rolls. Everything was really good. The server was friendly and helpful.

I usually the Thai iced tea but this time I wanted to try something different so I selected the Hawaiian ice tea which was so delicious. If you love ginger and mint then this is the drink for you. It probably would even taste better with rum in it. Started out with the veggie dumplings which were good but I probably will skip next time. I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted not because I'm blonde but I was torn between two dishes and I decided to get both. I ordered the drunken noodles with tofu and I also ordered the Pannag curry with tofu. The person I was with ordered the Kalua pork with cabbage which was cooked in banana leaves. The food was amazing and the dishes were so flavorful. There is no question I will be back. I order both my dishes medium. If you like it extra spicy then ask for extra spices and they will bring it to your table. Service was excellent!!

The most professional people ever! I haven't been there in a year, but I use to be a regular and there food was so good that the whole fam started ordering food from there too! Props to the owner and Christy as they are my main servers

I visited Chiriya with my mom on an early Saturday afternoon. Atmosohere: The decor is pretty cool with red walls and eclectic art. They have a chalkboard wall with the specials on it. There's also a small bar area in front. Covid: They do adhere to social distancing guidelines. The tables were very well spaced and the waitress wore a mask. Food: I ordered the pineapple curry with tofu and my mom ordered the chicken stir fry with brown rice ($3 extra ). My mom did not get the brown rice as requested. Taste was amazing but food was lukewarm. I doubt if I had 3oz of tofu and my mom had a whole serving of chicken. There was more sauce than anything else. I work in foodservice and understand the importance of consistent serving sizes but they really could serve at least 3oz of protein and add more vegetables. Maybe they could rearrange the plate differently to make it look fuller. Service: I only saw one waitress working the floor. She was really good despite having to manage the front alone. Only once did I have to get up to ask her for something. Overall: The food was good just not enough of it. I would not come here if I was really hungry. The decor was interesting and service was pretty good.

Came here based on the reviews and expected to have at least decent Thai food. Most of our food was edible, not good, but one thing we ordered was crispy duck which was completely inedible. The duck was just OLD, REALLY OLD. After the food was brought to our table, the waitress avoided our table like the plague. She didn't even bring us our check and had someone else bring it over to us so clearly she knew. When we brought the issue to the other person's attention, she attempted to rectify it but came back to our table and said the chef wouldn't remove the charge from our check. We're visiting from S. Florida so maybe this place is what passes for good Thai food around here, but my advice would be to avoid this place and go to one of the other Thai restaurants in the area.

This is one of best Thai restaurant I have been to. Located in not so popular area, but the food is worth the drive to this part of the town. I see most people were ordering it to go but I decide to enjoy my food there. Drinks: I order the iced Thai tea which comes topped with whip cream. It's delicious but if you don't like too much sugar, omit the whip cream. Appetizer: We ordered summer rolls which were really good, comes with peanut sauce. They were made fresh, one plate comes with two rolls, which is good size to share. Soup: the coconut based soup with chicken, #2 on the menu (can't remember the name), is delicious. If you are a coconut fan, you definitely need to try this. It's good on a cold winter day or actually any day. Entree: We decided to share the pineapple curry with pork, definitely recommend it. The portion size of everything here is great. All this food was a little more than enough for two of us. The service as well as the servers are great. We came in right when it opened and our food was served within 10 minutes. Definitely going back to try the other items on the menu.

This place is great! The first time we ordered was during quarantine so we could only have take out. The owner was kind and made sure I had all the utensils and sauces I wanted before leaving. We had the Huli Huli chicken (which could feed a family of 4 easily). It has so many unique flavors and comes with rice. It is hard to find larb in this part of GA (if you haven't tried this appetizer it can be a meal in itself) it's quite literally a meat salad and good for low carb diets. The pad Thai is delicious, practically everything we ordered was amazing and so much that we had leftovers for a week.

I've only had takeout but it is always amazing. I cannot recommend their food enough. Delicious!

My girlfriend and I came on a friday evening and were seated very quickly. The staff were super friendly and made us feel comfortable! The food itself was very good, we got the tom yum noodle soup and pad thai. We got the scorpion hot and thai hot and this was the first time we've had something where it was ACTUALLY as spicy as they said it was. Most places say its spicy, and we get let down since we were expecting it to be spicy. The food itself was very good, tom yum is a favorite with us and there's was very tasty and clean tasting. This place is definitely a place we'd come back to frequently.

Small and tucked away, I found this place when I was driving around for work. They have a wide range of items on their menu and everything is affordable. I ordered the masaman curry and it was delicious.

The food was OK, yes it was Thai food but it seem to be very Americanized. Asked about Thai basil and they seemed confused, yes, for hot sauce and ground red pepper, and they said they didn't have any, not a good sign. If you just want to grab some quick food, that's kind of Thai like this is OK but if you're looking for authentic Thai food, I would go elsewhere.

I sat beside the Chiriya land line phone just in case the 1970s called. I dialed my childhood home number and I didn't remember it taking almost 10 minutes for the rotary wheel to go around and back--but that's what it seemed like. Almost hypnotic to listen, watch and feel. We didn't get touch tone phones until the 1980s. I don't know why there is an old rotary phone in the dining room at Chiriya. It might have belonged to the owner, Mrs. Moore, when she got her from Thailand by way of Hawaii in the mid-1970s. All I know is that Thai food was completely unknown to me growing up. I like to think I'm making up for lost time. I started with Tom Yum soup which has a lemon grass base with mushrooms, ginger, and lime juice. Refreshing and zingy and it just tasted fresh. It was almost like warm lemonade but that's way too chunky of a descriiption and doesn't exalt the subtlety of the lemon and lime. If something warm can be refreshing, Tom Yum is it. My cashew nut chicken was all the right flavors--but good Lord--I like carrots but the dish shouldn't scream carrots at me when its presented. Bugs Bunny, I'm not. I want the cashews and the chicken. I reordered my forkfuls so I almost could get chicken, carrots, green beans, and broccoli with each bite, but I wasn't dextrous enough. I resorted to my Tom Yum spoon. That's a bunch of whining. My inexpertness did not detract from my enjoyment. Besides, when the 70s called, it was quick to remind me that the only Asian food I had growing up was that La Choy chop suey stuff in a can.

One of the best Thai food places!! Their curries and noodle dishes will make your taste buds go crazy. I love the ambiance with all the Asian style decorations. Fast and great service, good prices (especially for the lunch menu) and amazing food...what more can you ask for? - Chirya special noodles: Don't be deceived by these ramen looking noodles - this dish is awesome!! Kind of has a sweet and sour flavor. - Pad Thai: Definitely passed my Pad Thai test for Thai restaurants! Superb! - Pineapple curry: The sweetest of their curry options but if you can't handle spicy and want that hint of pineapple flavor to your dish, this is perfect. - Panang curry: I'm not a Panang fan typically but my boyfriend loves this dish! - Yellow curry: Yummy!! Loved the balance of the creamy curry and just the perfect amount of spice.

Nothing great Thai food and satisfied appetites coming from this joint. Nice cozy little restaurant that, I feel, does not have the credit it deserves. A friend from school told me about them about a year ago and finally we decided to go. It's right off Victory drive past Whole Foods so you don't have to deal with parking troubles, paying to park, or any of the downtown madness you can have at times. It's tucked away and rather hidden so make sure you don't miss it! Walking in the first thing I saw was the 2019 Best Connect Savannah plaque for best Thai food so I was definitely assured we were at the right place then! We started with a small cup of Tom Ka. Never had this before so I have nothing to compare it to, all I know is that it was delicious, packed with flavor, and I wouldn't be upset if I had this every day of my life. Very sweet flavors with hints of lemongrass. For dinner we chose the Pad Thai (bc it looked amazing) and I took the recommendation in the Massaman curry. I'm a biggg curry guy so of course I was going to try theirs. I was assured that it was made from scratch and not a premade processed paste like some places use (you can tell a difference), and it was clear that they made their own. It tasted fabulous. Great flavors all around, mostly sweet and nutty. I wouldn't have complained for the spice to be a little more but I think she was trying to accommodate for my fiancé's palate more than mine lol. Their Pad Thai was top notch. I think it's the best I've tried in Savannah thus far. Once again just full of flavors and each bite just makes you crave more! This might have just made it to the top of my "go-to" list for Savannah and I recommend you do the same!

The attention displayed with their plates is paired beautifully with their exquisite taste, abundant flavor and top of the line service. I will deff Drive back from ATL for this spot!

I really enjoyed my meal here, and look forward to coming back! Right away our server was very friendly and attentive, and was great throughout the rest of our meal keeping our drinks full and bringing out our food and clearing our plates promptly. The food itself is delicious, we started with the summer rolls and Tom kha soup, both very fresh and delicious, very true to the classic style of both dishes. They looked so good I forgot to get a photo! For the entrees we tried the House special noodle and the green curry. The green curry was very good, creamy with a nice aromatic flavor, the vegetables were crisp and fresh and the beef was tender. I asked the server and the flowers are orchids and they are edible, though I didn't try it this visit. The house special noodle was very much a comfort food, being warm and savory. The noodles were like ramen noodles that had been stir fried with the veggies and tofu. The tofu was fried and so had a nice firm and crispy shell. I can already tell this will be a must when we return to order again!

First time experience was heavenly. I have only tried Thai food once before. I am completely unfamiliar with the food. I could not of had a better first time experience. I ordered a cup of Tom Ka soup. My friend got the Tom Yum soup. I tasted hers which was a rich broth with a spicy pepper after taste. My Tom Ka was a coconut base broth with Rich complex flavor. I ordered the Phad Thai noodles with tofu. It was lemony in a wonderful way. Just a delight with every bite. My friend ordered the basil chicken and it had a rich savory sauce. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes.

Takeout order of Vegetarian Tofu Pho: Flavored water with uncooked tofu cubes over rice noodles and a small pile of shaved cabbage or something like it--no vegetables included. The sauces included were a sugary brown sauce and store bought sriracha. Don't get me started on the summer rolls. Blah.

Save you money!!! Worst fake Thai food I've ever had. I ordered the $15 beef salad and it was romaine lettuce and with a few little slices of some weird beef and it was saturated in dressing. The garlic chicken was bland and again a small portion for the price. It also had string beans in it? We ordered shrimp Thai fried rice and it came out with chicken and shrimp and was super mushy!! I can't believe people rated this place good. I now don't trust people taste in authentic Thai food from these reviews. Go to PJ's Thai corner it Ruan. Overall not authentic Thai cuisine and super over priced. Our waitress was the best part of the visit. She was super sweet and welcoming.

Excellent food, great server. Good people and fun service On road trip and found this place on Yelp. Boy,we couldn't have been happier!! The Thai fried rice was the best I have had. The Pad Graw Basel was better than our home base thai place. I wish I lived here so I could go back!!! Leaving Savannah in the morning..

We have ordered from here twice. We ordered take out for the first time several months ago & the food was satisfying. We felt the price for the portion was a bit inflated. Last week we did a pick up order & the food was not good. My husband ordered a noodle dish & I had pad Thai. We both felt our food had the lingering flavor of melted plastic. I honestly think they put it in the to go box super hot and it melted to our food. I won't be back but I think if you dined in person you may have a better experience.

Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. Awesome menu, staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Can make dishes gluten free if they are not. Good portions - both regular and lunch.
