The Best Places To Eat In Northridge

"Tucked in the corner of a large strip mall on Reseda Blvd., Szechuan Palace is easily the best Chinese food in Northridge, and one of our favorites in the entire Valley. The menu is pretty wide-ranging, with everything from kung pao chicken to beef chow mein, but we recommend sticking to the more traditional Szechuan dishes - dan dan noodles, cumin mutton, and a very spicy mapo tofu. The space itself is big as well, making it a good a group lunch spot when you need to keep a bunch of different people from the office happy." - brant cox

We had a delightful experience here. Our server was Arnold. He was very nice and attentive to us. The dim sum was great for us, especially being in the Valley. There's not a lot of good dim sum places here. The selection was limited but they were all delicious. The highlight was the shrimp roll. I didn't get a chance to take a picture though. Overall, we really enjoyed it here, a little pricey but you get what you pay for. We'll definitely be back.

Google
Chi’s is probably one of the best Chinese restaurants in the valley and quality is similar to what you can find in San Gabriel Valley. The lunch menu dishes are the same price as dinner but for lunch, it comes with a small side salad and soup. The food is delicious and service is great. The servers were all very friendly. Place is also very clean and spacious. Only downside is that the prices are more expensive compared to what you get elsewhere. Overall, I had a great experience and would come back again.

Google
Chi’s Chinese Cuisine definitely has some of the best Chinese food that I’ve ever ate. What I loved most was that the food was not bland, yet it was not overly salty. The balance of flavors was just right for my palate. I tried the Chow Mein with Chicken, Fried Rice, Broccoli and Beef, and the Veggie Egg Rolls. I wish I would have ordered more than one order of Egg Rolls. They were very good!! The true test for me was whether the food tastes delicious without me having to add soy sauce, sweet and sour sauce, or any type of chili sauce. None of those sauces were necessary to add. I will be a return customer.

Google
An amazing restaurant experience with top notch service and food. Luis our server was amazing and even the owner came to check up on us.

Google
I order takeout, and this is one of our go-to places in the valley. Their indoor seating is nice, but as with places like these, the front of the house is always busy. Their chicken is always cooked perfectly and their portions are large and well priced. They have a standard selection of items also made for the American Chinese palate. The high quality is consistent.

Google
I give it a 4 star because it is nothing near to the Chinese food capital compared to the ones in the SGV. So based on that, I gave it a 4 stars because it’s good that this is available in the Valley if you crave Chinese food but don’t want to drive out to SGV. Nice atmosphere. I like the Goji Berry tea. The steam fish was great, just the right flavor but lack the wok energy that most higher level Chinese restaurant has like out in SGV. Good service. I would go back to meet up with friends that live out there if they want Chinese.

Google
The food is great, however I need to explain my 3 overall rating. I did not notice this area prior and wrote comments under dietary which I cannot erase. I have been eating here since it was about half the size of the existing restaurant and Chi who is the (Mom) owner was running it. Her name is “Chi”. Yes, not an abbreviation of Chinese. I have to be honest here as I am not sure who is fooling who. The issue is prices have increased and portions have been cut. For example, order a large wonton soup. It costs about $15. They serve it in a small bowl (although called large) along with about 3-4 ounce cups where the porcelain spoon hardly fits the cup. Order a to go soup and you get one large container. See photo. I ate 1/2 of it. Other restaurants like Bamboo Cuisine in Sherman Oaks provides 2 of the same size. My opinion is to keep portion sizes as they were and increase prices as required. Please do not try and pull the wool over our eyes. Are we not supposed to notice this? Not sure Momma Chi approved this.

Google
Delivery was quic, and the food was delicious. But the rice was missing. The delivery section of the menu lists (L) Chicken with Broccoli White meat chicken sauteed with broccoli. Served with steamed rice. (Low in fat and gluten free) Not a big deal, but it was missed.

Yelp
Amazing food and service The place was perfect for a Valentines Date dinner date Thanks for a lovely evening

Yelp
I've been in the valley all my life and have seen this restaurant, but haven't got the chance to go until recently! I think the food is delicious and for a reasonable price! Everything is served family style but they offer 2 different sizes. I came here for my friend's birthday and the service was amazing. We were greeted and welcomed and seated so quickly. We were a party of 13, so they do large party reservations. Everyone in there was genuinely so nice! What we tried: - calamari - yang chow fried rice - hot and sour soup - honey walnut shrimp - combination lo mein Everything was delicious and I highly recommend the calamari and honey walnut shrimp. I think they gave a pretty generous portion for all dishes, but especially the calamari and honey walnut shrimp. Parking can be a little challenging at the plaza it is located at, but you can find street and residential parking across the street. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant or even ordering for take out!

Yelp
Stopped by here on a Saturday night and we' were super impressed. Great, fresh food. Nice ambiance, and rest good service!

Yelp
For Xmas our family decided to get Chinese take out. Every so often we'll do that to eliminate the dish washing duties during the holidays and will attempt to try a different place. Since we did not dine in my experience was limited to just the front desk. Our order was set for pick up by 5pm. I arrived just before that and there were a stack of orders waiting to be picked up. I was assisted promptly and my order was waiting for me. The person who greeted me was very nice and informative. Asked if I needed any utensils, soy sauce, and hot sauce. Before leaving we double checked the order and everything was accounted for and ready to take off. Our order was an assorted variety of our favorite Chinese dishes with a couple of different options. The food was good to par. Overall the family was happy with their meal and I was happy that the pick up process was a breeze, especially during a holiday. Parking: small private lot VERDICT: One and done

Yelp
My first time trying this year. It was one of the first places on my Google maps when I typed in Chinese food so I wanted to give it a go. It's very close to me. They gave you a lot of food for a simple price. Expect to pay about $15 here at minimum. The eggrolls are absolutely delicious and crunchy. I love the Mongolian beef so much and the steamed dumplings were 10 out of 10. They give you chili paste and ginger sauce on the side. The lady was very nice when I came here and it is a smaller size restaurant, but still there is a lot of seating and nice tables. And a very beautiful fish tank when you walk in front.

Yelp
This review is a few weeks overdue. It was my first time dining in. And after the last attempt with no luck finding parking, we arrived a bit later this time, after much of the dinner crowd had left. But this restaurant stays busy, and after trying a number of dishes; both takeout and now dine-in, some of the best Chinese food I've had in a very long time. A bit pricey but worth the splurge.
google avatar

Jessica Rae A.

Yelp
This restaurant is in a plaza and shares a parking lot with the other shops and restaurants. The parking can be limited when it gets super busy. From the outside, it can look a little outdated, but the inside of the restaurant is very modern and clean. Restrooms are also pretty clean. There were 4 parties ahead of us on a Sunday evening and we were seated within 15 minutes. The hostess at the front was very friendly and apologetic for the wait. Our server quickly took our drink and food orders. The food was great. We ordered the siu mai, har gow, calamari, Szechwan eggplant, trio pan fried noodles, garlic fried rice, and black bean chicken. The siu mai was amazing - we ate 3 orders in total. We also really enjoyed the eggplant and trio pan fried noodles. We thought that the calamari was lacking a little seasoning but was crispy. And I wished the garlic fried rice had a lot more garlic flavor; it got a little lost in everything that was in the garlic rice. Everything else was still tasty, just not a favorite.

Yelp
I wanted to try one of the lunch specials, which included soup, salad, and choice of any small-sized menu item. There were only two vegetarian choices that offered any protein, so I asked if I could have one of the more appetizing items made with tofu instead of chicken. No problem, the waiter assured me. Then he informed me that all the soups were made with chicken stock. No vegetarian choices at all--not even a bowl of plain veggie broth. So I had to settle for a larger version of the salad, which was mostly lettuce with a few shreds of red cabbage. Unfortunately, the salad was the high point of the meal. About fifteen minutes after we put in our orders, the waiter came back with a bundle of napkins and the news that the manager said I couldn't have sweet and sour tofu after all. (Apparently, it was too much trouble to cut up some tofu and pour some sweet and sour sauce over it.) My only two choices were tofu lettuce wraps or mixed vegetables with tofu. Since all I had eaten so far was lettuce, I reluctantly ordered the mixed vegetables. Someone in the kitchen cut up a slab of soft tofu straight out of its plastic tub, doused it with bland brown sauce, and threw in some broccoli, mushrooms, and a hunk of bok Choi. Since the tofu hadn't been sautéed or seasoned, it was absolutely flavorless. I would have been better off eating the napkins. To top it off, the management added a 20% service charge to the tab because I had eaten with a group. No wonder the waiter couldn't have cared less about helping me get a tasty meat-free meal.

Yelp
We love it here! Long time, customers... Love you long time :-p lol food is yummy! Service is great. Today Kat took care of us and she was very nice and attentive. Lunch specials are great (everyday 11am-3pm) including wkds (Tuesdays they're closed). The salad that comes with the lunch special is SO SO good!!!! Food comes out hot and fresh and fast. I've never had a bad experience here. Hard workers and friendly...owners too :-)

Yelp
The best Chinese food I've had in Southern CA I lived in LA for 20 years and decided to give this place a try after so many disappointments in Conejo valley. This was outstanding! Great flavor, and moderate prices. Kung Pao chicken excellent!

Ann C.

Yelp
Great service food and patient server . The remodel really turned this into a beautiful experience restaurant. In the past it was cute small and perhaps dark . Now it's lit beautifully and elegant. All food choices are great. You can eat in or take out . You can dine alone as a duo or as a group . This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the San Fernando Valley

Yelp
Call my order in,and I got the food very quickly when I picked up, and the staff is very friendly. The whole restaurant was packed,& could see why, cause The food was great! I Highly Recommend Chi's!

Yelp
Got take out during our last trip to LA. The food was solid Chinese-American fare, which tasted pretty much like you expect it to taste. Nothing was particularly remarkable, though I did like the Mongolian BBQ. I felt the portions were on the small side and it was pretty expensive for the cost. Still, my young nephews love it and sometimes it's about what the kids want. Detailed review at https://www.marga.org/foodblog/2024/09/l-a-chow-chis-chinese-cuisine/

Yelp
Service is always great!! Orange chicken is hit or miss, sometimes so so breaded but other times great. Good lunch special prices

Yelp
Food is always warm and delicious. The service is friendly and kind and helped us out with placing our baby in the seat. The vibe is chill but also upscale ish? Cool place. Like the food.
google avatar

Yelp
We pick up food the other night. I would have to say all dishes we got were good! My favorite was the eggplant in Szechuan sauce it was good! Their orange chicken was good too. What I liked most was they let us know with our order we got a large white rice. My wife liked their orange chicken. We definitely will be back to try more dishes! Until next time!

Yelp
This restaurant is a decent option for Chinese food in the area, but the food was just okay. The ambiance is nice, and the service was exceptional. However, I wasn't particularly impressed with any of the dishes I tried, including the Kung Pao Chicken (which tasted similar to Panda Express'), the Dim Sum Sampler, and the Chinese Broccoli.
google avatar

Maricar D.

Yelp
One day after work, I was craving some dim sum! After searching on Yelp, we found a place located near where I always go for boba. The server greeted us and upon walking in, the beautiful modern restaurant gave a classy elegant feel for the Chinese food we were about to eat. As the lunar new year is approaching, there were red decorations hung around the space and made the place even more inviting. Many tables were empty since we were in that weekday 'right before rush hour, early dinner' threshold. We were served and taken care of well by the lady and we ordered ourselves some nice tea with our entrees. Rose Blossom Tea: (Green tea with rose petals). The teapot was modern and was clear glass, (which we found really cool), and the male staff informed us to make sure to wait for the tea bags to brew with the hot water first. It had a sweet aroma and the tea was smooth and warm to drink. Fried calamari: Was delicious and had a soft crunch. It had a unique texture and was lightly breaded and also lightly seasoned, which was super yummy and the squid flavor shone through. Dim sum sampler: Reasonably priced, and helped satisfy the craving for dim sum without being too much. Chinese pork slices: Sliced and presented beautifully, each slice of pork had a great fatty to meat ratio and was also basked in great flavor. It seemed less than expected but it was good to eat and fill up. All in all, despite sharing all of this with my partner, we both got full and said to each other we weren't expecting to feel so full! The fortune cookies at the end was fun to munch on as well. Would love to come back here with my family. P.S. Noticed that the fish tank was fish taken from Finding Nemo! From our seats, it was extremely fun and distracting to watch the fish swim by and remember the nostalgic childhood movie. Bonus points! Lol

Yelp
I always enjoy eating here with my family and friends. Good service, ample parking, and the food and vibe are solid. This is more of a non-asian type of Chinese food which is tasty, but not very authentic. I don't mind it, but my Chinese buddies consider this westernized Chinese food. If you want the true stuff go the San Gabriel Valley. You can't go wrong with their eggplant, sautéed vegetables, Kung pao chicken, black pepper beef, steamed fish. There chow mein and chow fun are also legit.
google avatar

Nancy F.

Yelp
Great lunch specials! The ambience is really nice inside and the next time we will plan to stay there and eat. We took it to go last time and the orange chicken was delicious!
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
Service was very quick and friendly. Our family had the dim sum platter, corn soup, fried rice, green beans and shaken beef and all the dishes tasted great. Very nice ambiance compared to your typical Chinese restaurant. The establishment had a great vibe and we will be back soon!
google avatar

Jonathan W.

Yelp
One of the very best in the LA area, Chi's is a family favorite! There is nothing here that I haven't loved! If you want Dim Sum in the Valley, this is the only place to go! But whatever style of Chinese food you enjoy, odds are you can find it here, from Szechwan to sweet & sour pork, they have you covered. The service here is also outstanding. The staff seem to really like working here and they take great care of their customers!

Mia I.

Yelp
Service and food is always great. The atmosphere is quaint and lovely. My favorite dish is the black pepper steak - it's always delicious.

Paolo C.

Yelp
Our favorite Chinese spot in SFV! The portions are hefty and we always have leftovers. Would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
What a super bummer. The orange chicken is 70-80% batter with hard, dry pieces of old chicken. It also has zero orange flavor. Just sugar and oil. Save your money and just get Panda Express!
google avatar

Yelp
Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Taste: 4.5/5 When I am in town visiting family, Chi's is part of our weekly rotation. On a Sunday night, the restaurant is busy but there is no wait, and parking is found in a busy plaza. What Chi's does excel at is the friendly staff and the cozy, but elevated ambiance. The service was prompt, and they made me feel cared for. The manager (or owner?) even came by and asked how the meal was, which shows they care a lot about customer service. -Orange Chicken: (5/5) was a delightful mix of sweet and tangy, with the perfect balance of crispy and tender. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and the sauce was incredibly addictive - a little on the sweeter side but I do enjoy it -Broccoli Beef (4/5) The beef was tender and cooked just right, while the broccoli was fresh, crispy and perfectly steamed. The savory sauce tied everything together -Black Bean Fish Filet: (4.5/5) The fish fillet itself was tender and infused with the rich and savory flavors of the black bean sauce. The sauce, with its unique combination of umami and earthy notes, complemented the delicate fish well.

Yelp
I decided to try something different here and ordered their sweet and sour chicken. I was very disappointed it was so soggy and tasted like it would if it was leftover. I'm used to this dish being crispy at other places and not soggy. Seriously panda express orange chicken is crispier/ fresher! Plus their lunch special used to be 13 something and now it's 15 something so...

Yelp
This restaurant is regular dining place for my family. We are regulars :). The food is always delicious, hot and fresh. The service is always amazing. The ambiance is cool. Great place for lunch or dinner with friends or family. This is my go to spot when I want good Chinese food. Parking is easy and free. Parking can be kinda hectic on the weekends though. Also, the wait for the restaurant can be a little long on weekends, but overall, the manager will do their best to seat you in a timely manner. They do not have outdoor seating. They only have indoor seating. I love this place.
google avatar

Anthony N.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant a few times I find the food to be a 6.5 out of 10, service has always been moderate. However I went in the other night and was disappointed by the service performed by Joe. He approached us 10 minutes after we first initially sat. After we finish eating and we're waiting to ask for the check, he was not to be seen. I was patient and gave 15 minutes for him to show up however, I had to ask one of the other employees to go ahead and bring me the check and upon bringing the check he threw boxes on our table as if I did something wrong. please be advised it's not like as if he was bus or anything b because only half the restaurant was packed.
google avatar

Maricela C.

Yelp
I love going to this restaurant with my mom when I go visit her in the valley. It is our favorite place and the restaurant is so beautiful. The food is very very delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I do notice. It gets very busy in the evenings on the weekends, but it's so worth it.

Yelp
Having had pleasant memories during my last visit here (a while back), I came here with high expectations. That too, after we had been circling several times to find a parking spot in the strip mall lot. Even the street had no openings. To start out, I ordered the Har Gow. It came with 4 pieces, that were soft, perfect temperature with the shrimp moist and succulent. I asked for chili oil or chili paste. They brought a soy sauce instead, till I had to repeat my request. Once again, instead, arrived an orange chili sauce that had a spicy blend that did not go well with the Shrimp dumplings. For the mains, the Kung Pao chicken was the only dish that had a thick taste and flavor. The black pepper beef and the Singapore noodles lacked the characteristic intensity of the respective entrees. While the beef was tender, onions and mushroom crisp, more flavoring would have enhanced this item on the menu. Singapore noodles seemed just tossed and not stir fried. The curry fragrance was very mild and could have also used more dousing in that spice. Service was good.

Grace T.

Yelp
The food was delicious, service was fast, and the staff were very kind and attentive. Our waters and tea were constantly refilled and we were asked three or four times over the course of our dinner if we needed anything else. The facility is clean, and the bathrooms were clean when I used it. I also really appreciated how flexible the kitchen is with some of the dishes. My father-in-law wanted to order the black bean fish and substitute the peppers with mushrooms, and they did it! Thank you, Chi's Chinese Cuisine staff! We ordered the cashew chicken, black bean fish, honey walnut shrimp, fried rice, white rice, Thai ice tea, and chrysanthemum tea. My favorite was the cashew chicken, but our table agreed all the dishes were delicious. I highly recommend.

Celest O.

Yelp
How do you not send ONE package of sriracha on a uber eats order! Smh im never going to order here again. It's common sense. Food is bland af

Yelp
This is our go to take out Chinese restaurant. We have eaten here a couple of times but we like to order for take out. Love the mushu pork, dimsum and the veggies. And I love the fried sesame balls for dessert. It's a bit more American Chinese but we still love the variety and freshness of the food. Through yelp, you can order for pickup or delivery (depending on location).

Javier Z.

Yelp
Reason for this comment is just to let you know that is happening in this place, I dine with my family 2 adults and 4 child (1,5,10,13), and my bill came with a 20% large party fee, is that normal? well the food was orange chicken, and pungent shrimp, was ok, but the Chow mein is food for pigs, I only have two more words for you and its Panda Express, do not waste your money in this place.
google avatar

Sean M.

Yelp
I've been going to this place for years now. I went in to eat today and the restaurant is very nice inside and very clean. The service was excellent. The food came out very quickly. I got the Black Pepper Beef this time and it was delicious. So far, I've had this, Mu Shu, various fried rices and Lo miens, Kung Paos. They're all good.

Tara J.

Yelp
My kids and I eat here once in a while and every time we do, the food is so good. Service is fast whether if we are eating in or take out! I love that they expanded the place. It's a lot more comfortable
google avatar

Keni R.

Yelp
The food could have been better specially considering what we paid. Not excited about anything. I am someone that travels internationally therefore I eat international food. I know what good Chinese food should taste like. This was a hard pass for us. Service for ordering and picking up was good. Food - you must improve, specially on your popular dishes.

Yelp
The family wanted Chinese food and we were searching for good Chinese that didn't require driving more than 20 minutes to find. In our search we came across Chi's Chinese in Northridge. We were pleasantly surprised and happy that we chose to try Chi's. We ordered sautéed green beans, orange chicken, shrimp rolls, won ton soup, black bean fish fillet and fried rice. The shrimp rolls were fried nicely to give you that perfect crunch, green beans had good flavor and cooked a little more softer, orange chicken had great flavor and tender but fried nicely, black bean fish was fresh and the flavor was light, the won ton soup was good and topped with veggies which we enjoyed and a interesting spin on the fried rice which included corn and some broccoli, healthy but different. Next visit we might skip the fried rice and try a chow mein and swap out starting with won ton soup to go with salt and pepper chicken wings. Overall, for good fresh and tasty Chinese food for dine in or take-out choose Chi's Chinese in Northridge. Chi's will be our go to Chinese food restaurant.

Yelp
I tried to order again today after having a couple of really good orders over the last few weeks. Unfortunately, I will never order from this place again. None of the three entrées tested right. The worst was the mushu chicken, which actually tasted like the chicken had gone over. It was basically like taking a bite of garbage. Enjoy my $56 because I am never ordering from this restaurant again

Yelp
This review is from my last and final Chi's experience. On the morning of August 4th I decided to call and place an order for pickup. One small order of garlic shrimp. I asked if I could swap the side salad for soup instead. The older woman over the phone rudely brushed off my question and proceeded to tell me the order total. Due to the incoherent service over the phone, I ended up paying for the soup as well. A nearly $30 total. I ignored the service over the phone and went to go pick up my order around 20 minutes later. The hostess at the front gave me attitude as well and made me feel unwelcomed. I didn't have high expectations at this point but nothing could have prepared me for what I discovered when I arrived back home with my food. I thought it was some kind of a sick joke. Small hairs that resembled eyelashes were EVERYWHERE within the garlic shrimp. There were also long strands of tangled hair as well. This made me feel sick and I still wonder if it was done intentionally just because of how many hairs were in it. They were wrapped around in such a grotesque way. I did go back to the establishment to inform the manager. This experience is still beyond shocking to me especially since I had been coming here since I was a child with my family. I felt that after a month of this happening to me that I needed to warn others about this too. Aside from the tampered garlic shrimp, I recieved a sad side of condensated "salad" jammed into a plastic container. The "sauce" for the salad was a small cup of vinegar. And the bell peppers in the garlic shrimp didn't even look like they were bothered to be cut properly. The soup was the only thing that seemed edible. I didn't dare try the rest of my food though after what I had found. These are some pictures I took. I still can't believe this happened

Yelp
Excellent Chinese cuisine. My wife and I decided to try this spot and we didn't regret it!

Yelp
My wife and I returned to the AMAZING Chi's Chinese cuisine restaurant. This time it was for a late dinner on a Friday night The restaurant was jam packed. Yet we were seated in less than 10 minutes. Need;es to say, it was another great experience. We were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable customer service that set the tone for the entire evening. Our server was Elissa and she was great. She was friendly, attentive, and fun to talk with. She provided delicious recommendations and was fast! We enjoyed meeting her. We also got to meet the owner Chi!!! Oh my goodness, she is a gem. She made us feel at home. Her great smile, warm demeanor, and quick wit added to our special dining experience! Without question, the food was delicious. It's perfectly cooked and tasty. We truly enjoyed our night. This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the valley!

Yelp
Our favorite Chinese restaurant. The best wonton soup ever. Haven't had anything on the menu I didn't like.

Yelp
This is the best Chinese restaurant I've been to west of MYC! Food is always fresh and delicious. Pretty decor, very attendant service. The owner Marco checked on our table and was very charming and pleasant to talk to. Love trying new dishes every time!

Yelp
I am late with another restaurant that is very good in Northridge. I do not usually have the desire to eat Chinese food because I never been a fan of the food, but Chi's definitely changed that. My family and I have been eating at Chi's for years since we moved to Porter Ranch! Service is pretty good, I do have my favorites that knows how to get the order right. Isabella is one of my favorite servers who is just so sweet, good personality, and knows the menu very well. She makes the experience at Chi's good by her attitude. I like her and the other manager Emily because of their demeanor every time you come! Food: I always get the hot and sour soup, chicken potstickers well done or shrimp rolls for the appetizers, chicken lettuce wrap without or sweet and pungent shrimp for my entree, with brown rice instead of white. These are my favorite dishes that I do get, or the sweet and pungent chicken is delicious as well. The food is fresh and hot at all times, never greasy, and the portions are shareable and worth the price of entrees. The food is very tasty and flavorful!!! They also have LUNCH SPECIALS that is from 11:00 AM Until 3:00 PM. The menu is very reasonable and the dishes are good on this menu and comes with a option of soup and salad. The cleanliness make me always come here because the restaurant is always clean. The dishes are always so hot and clean when they put on the table, and spotless silverware. The remodeling after so many years have been very appreciated, I like how the restaurant looks, and how spacious it now is after the change. Parking, could be a problem since the lot has so many other restaurants, and businesses. Chi's is very popular so you can drive around a while to get parking. Also, because the wait sometimes especially for dinner could be very busy and long waiting times! Overall, I love Chi's food and the older I'm getting I'm more spontaneous and trying different things off the menu. My family and I come between 5-8 times a month. I think it will never change because the healthy, affordable, and good quality has never disappointed us. This is the best Chinese Cuisine in Northridge!

Yelp
We made a reservation for a party of 12 on 06/19/24. When we arrived our table was ready and we were promptly seated by very friendly staff. Our waiter was excellent and very efficient. Everything we asked for was taken care of never having to ask twice. It is difficult to take care of a party of 12. Our waiter did an exceptional job. We ordered appetizer's to start (dim sum sampler, shanghai dumplings and egg rolls, cream cheese wontons & Calamari 2 orders of each.) These were excellent. For our main course we ordered several orders of each of the following: Orange Chicken with all white meat, Jalapeno chicken with all white meat, Mongolian beef, Black pepper beef, Steamed Fillet of Sole, Fried rice, Steamed rice, Garlic rice, Chow fun & Chow Mein. I may have missed a couple of items that were ordered as there were many. The bottom-line is this meal was so enjoyed by all we had nothing remaining to take home. Myself I enjoy the leftovers the next morning for breakfast. Unfortunately I did not have any left to enjoy. I guess this say a great deal about the quality of the food!!!!! We can't wait to come back!!!!

Yelp
The absolute BEST Chinese food around, in my opinion. The quality, the speed from the time you call in to the time it's ready, and the portions are top notch!! I'll recommend this place to anyone looking for great Chinese food.
