The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but the service was not very good. Even the drinks didn’t have prices, so for every special drink we had to ask how much it cost. The food was okay and the portions were large, but we found a hair in our plate, which was very disappointing. On top of that, they tried to charge us for something we didn’t finish and did not take with us. They need to understand that customers should not have to pay for food that has an issue like that. Overall, the experience could have been much better.

If you're Latino the service there is really good. But if you're white or black they treat you differen. I went in there with friends of mine to eat and I saw what somebody ordered and we liked it. So we order the same thing. Nothing to write home about. The couple paid first then about an hour later we paid. I sold my lady's friend face she got mad when we got in the car I actually was wrong. We just paid $10 more for everything she did not know that she speak Spanish. I'm like why didn't you say something I think. I don't want you to break every bones in their body. After that we told friends of ours not to go there again

Highly recommend this place! Memorable ambiance and live performances. The food was very fresh and some of the best Hispanic food I’ve had in Jersey. Very good flavor and the leftovers were just as great the following day! I would recommend this for a birthday or if you’re craving a nice drink and food. Cons I will mention is music was quite loud throughout the night, and street parking was hard to find.

I stopped by La Mexicana with my family after doing a little shopping. The food was really good, the waitress was so sweet and helpful, the atmosphere was cozy for our day visit and looked perfect for a hang out with friends at night. I added this bar and grill to my favorites. I can't wait to visit and try other food and drinks on the menu.

Be careful with the price of alcohol. I ordered one glass of wine and got charged 40 dollars. Theres no price on menu for the drinks. I paid 45 dollars for 3 margaritas and 40 for a glass of Jordan cabarnet. The waitress didnt even try to warn me. Everything is was great but check prices before ordering. Maybe my mistake but we should atleast be warned if theres no prices on the menu

The place is well decorated and well lit for both the bar and restaurant environment. The food tastes good and the portions are quite big, so it's a bang for the buck, really affordable. The service was nice, all the waitresses were friendly. Some of the dishes are spicy, so if you don't like spicy food you can ask them to give you that food without spicy ingredients.

We had my father 80th birthday party here and they did an extraordinary job!! It was a party of 22 people the service was absolutely top notch. The food was excellent and the drinks were incredible! They went above and beyond to make my dad feel so special, that was the most important thing for me. Their hospitality made us feel great. I am very happy I picked this place. Hands down best place on morris ave for a great time and celebrating a birthday. The girls that were the entertainment were amazing too, we sang, danced and just had a wonderful time! I felt like I was at a festival! WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!! A big Thank You to the amazing staff and especially the female manager (I’m sorry I forgot your name) she was so so very nice and sweet, and was ON POINT the whole time. We were there from 8-2am! Thank you again and we will be coming back! Xoxoxoxo!!!!

Feb 17 2025 We had the opportunity to returned to this amazing restaurant to celebrate my mom's big number bday, the waitress Santiago was excellent but big thanks to manager Nangive for her extra care and her staff also Dahianna, Marlene, Chef Alfredo and Rigoberto in the kitchen all was extremely well cooked and can't forget the amazing bartender especially with the Don Julio 70 shots were done excellent...see pics.. Jan 18,2025 Amazing Mexican restaurant and Nicole our waitress was extremely helpful with her appetizer recommendations and kind with our orders also the chef cooked delicious.
