Chismosa's Taco House

The refried beans and rice were great but the flautas were not very tasty. The chicken inside them had a wild after taste and were not seasoned at all. On the other hand, my granddaughter had a burrito and she enjoyed it and it was a pretty big burrito too.

This is such a great place to get tacos, and mexican food. Chismosa’s is located in the Citgo gas station, and was not expecting much, but I was blown away by how absolutely delicious the food was. I personally ordered a beef fajita tacos with green sauce, onion, and cilantro. It was definitely one of the best tacos I have ever had. it was really hot and freshly cooked. the beef was absolutely wonderful, and everything was at a good price too. everyone was really nice, and the atmosphere and environment were nice and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend this place and come back when given the chance!!

Food is delicious and my tacos are the size of burritos. They have multiple locations so see which one is closest to you. Rosenberg location has a full bar.

We had an awful experience here. The food was really bad, my son’s burrito was extremely salty, and the tacos were dry and completely bland. On top of that, the woman at the counter was incredibly rude and dismissive. But the worst part? My son saw an employee leave the restroom without washing their hands.🤢 Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable! We will definitely not be coming back. It actually doesn't deserve and stars.👎🏻

Love all the great eats here. Kinda of a hole in the wall. But food and service here is great.No wait staff. But make sure to tip the cashier the are helpful and super friendly!!! Bring your favorite coffee or buy a drink from the connected convenience store.

Don’t sleep on this spot!! Great little spot for breakfast tacos, tortas and more! Their habanero sauce is super spicy so proceed with caution! The green sauce is my favorite and goto! The people are so friendly and quick service. It’s connected next to a citgo and they don’t sell drinks, so you’ll have to buy them from the convenience store next door!

I only get the breakfast tacos here, they are plentyful they have great customer service here.

This place is super tiny and connected to a gas station so I almost missed it. We were looking to grab something quick on a very limited time frame so we stopped here. Overall, the food wasn't the best, but it was filling and served it's purpose. Prices are super cheap (just $10 for me and my sister). So while it may not be the best it is very affordable and super fast.

I frequented the Chismosa taco truck often. There have been several instances where my order has not been up to par, but because they are so nice I ignored it. Today I order $60 worthy of tacos and I traveled 30 mins away to support this business, I was sad about the truck closing and I drove to support the location in Citgo gas station. I got home and 10 of the tacos were incorrect. I called them and they were apologetic but they refused to give me a partial credit for my inconvenience. The 10 tacos didn't have eggs only beans potatoes and veggies. The lady offered to remake them but I was already annoyed because of the drive and because of the cost. She wanted me to bring all the tacos back and that wasn't realistic. I will not be going back because of this. It's unfortunate but I should've gotten a credit for my time.

Was on the search for a good breakfast tacos place, and came across this one. They have a variety of breakfast and lunch plates as well. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. We ordered some breakfast tacos just to try the place out. All of the tacos were pretty bland, they needed some seasoning. The salsas were pretty bland except the habanero, that one has a punch to it but it's also tasty. The tacos were pretty soggy but they're not too bad just add salt!

im not a fan of this location.every time i try to give them a chance the bacon is tooo burnt and hard and same for the potatoes. Go to the Richmond location!!!

Decided to try it out after passing a few times and it looked pretty busy inside. I went with a basic barbacoa corn taco order and it lacked taste and texture. Therapy was dry and not even salt helped. The salsa was too watery and no taste either. The handmade tortillas were good but that was it. I was not impressed by the tacos and that makes me wonder if the rest of the food may lack taste as well.

One of my favorite spots failed me today. I opened up my breakfast taco and saw shells from the eggs. Hopefully this doesn't happen again

Ran as a family owned establishment. The lady at the front was kind, yet a boss. Lol. Open and inviting. About that business and serving with accuracy. The people waiting in line is enough to tell you that the food is good and that it's worth the wait. (It was.) I like the vibe but you can't wear your feelings on your sleeve. Good to know it's here. I'll return again, but will order ahead of time for sure.

Tortillas need to be cooked longer!! I took one bite out of my ala mexican taco and threw both of them away! was Only $4.44 though so im not mad.

Good Service is a Start I went here today after googling for a breakfast taco near me, and this place came up (only 11 reviews), after reading the reviews, I decide to give it a try. I approach the counter and reviewed the menu and notice it was hard to read as well as no prices listed on anything, they had all been removed. I ask the lady for a menu with prices and she told me they did not have a menu with prices and the prices depended on what you order. WOW!!! after not know what I would be paying for anything I left. A customer needs to know what they are paying for items to be able to figure out if they are getting value for there money, how arrogant to not provide that information, don't waste your time at this establishment.

If I could choose zero stars I would. I've ordered 3 times from DoorDash and they've managed to screw up my orders 4 times. Yea that's right 4. They sent an order twice for some reason one morning and both orders were WRONG lol I don't know how that happens. Potato and eggs are French fries and eggs. Just sloppy place all together. I usually try a place 3 times to give them the benefit of the doubt by ordering different items to see what I like. Luckily DoorDash gives me partial refunds. Stay away from this place. The lady's who work there just stand around and talk every time I go in.

These Breakfast Tacos are LEGIT ! The tortillas are sooo soft. The size is average and the tacos are full of whatever contents you order.

Fantastic breakfast tacos and burritos. For 5$ you can get a burrito the size of your face! They now take cards, not just cash. Everything is so fresh and tasty.

Food is cheap, authentic & delicious my boy loves their quesadilla plate and I love their Migas plate, less then 15 bucks

I had their breakfast tacos here and they are great with their homemade green sauce! Good tacos with homemade tortillas! Would def recommend!!

This place was so yummy there egg and bacon burrito was the best I've ever had and brother I've had them all. The steak taco was also worth writing home about. Got it with onions, cilantro, and tomatoes. Just right.

Goodness gracious my back hurts, waking up to an aspirin and glass of water, I should have only played nine-holes. Sometimes laying in bed all day long is the cure but Wal-Mart Sundays with the wife is a husband duty that I must fulfill; otherwise, the relationship gets complicated, just joking honey. Before a fun-filled morning grocery shopping at a behemoth of a store, the wife and I stop for breakfast tacos and coffee at Chismosas Taco House on Highway 6 in Sugar Land, Texas in preparation for the expedition. NOTE the restaurant is attached to a gas station so you have the option of filling up while waiting for your order. With beans frying and coffee brewing the kitchen is alive as the smell is fantastic upon entering. It is fast, loud, and thrashing. Chorizo, tocino, y queso diced and sliced with jalapenos creates an aromatic medley that sings to the nostril. The sizzle of tomato, onion, and salsa is the tweet while the masa is the bass. I place my order at the counter: 2 - Huevos con Tocino, 2 - Huevos con Papa, 2 - Carne Guisada and my personal favorite 2 - Frijoles con Queso, and take a seat. The prices range from $1.25 - $2.00 each. The word Chismosas describes gossiping women, so it is somewhat intimidating to think these women will critique my eight taco order after I leave, but do not let the name fool you. Sure enough the gossiping women are behind the counter taking orders and making tortillas, with music blaring in the background; however, in a nod to traditional Mexican breakfast preparation the name brings back childhood memories of then the women would be in the kitchen chatting away cooking while the men stayed outside drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes. Smiling, it all makes sense. After a 5-10 minute wait my order is yelled out, I get up to pay and leave. The tacos are delicious finishing them up before our shopping endeavor begins. I wholeheartedly recommend Chismosas Taco House on Highway 6 for delicious Mexican style breakfast tacos and while you are waiting watching gossiping women cooking and chatting. Enjoy!

This place has been my favorite taco place for the past 5 or 6 years, the prices are real cheap for the authentic meals, the workers are friendly, the place is kept clean, etc. I've brought people a couple times to this place and they always love the food. Chismosa's is a hidden gem

Great food, TV(Univisión), and gas. They don't serve drinks, but the gas station it's in helps out quite a bit ; ) Love ther separation it has from the station. They stillanage to capture that restaurant feel. Order in if you want. They will bring your meal to you!

For breakfast tacos, this is the place to go. The potato and egg is consistently good and I always get the barbacoa for my brother. He loves it. Not greasy and good flavor. (now I will say that typically the potatoes seemed to be cooked fresh but this last batch I got was french fry potatoes. Was a but disappointed although still tasted good.) The green hot sauce is awesome! If you want mouth watering flavor though, get the carne guisada. You just cant go wrong at Chismosa's for breakfast tacos. The tacos are only a couple of bucks. They also serve what looks to be hefty servings on their lunch plate but it is frustrating that they don't have the prices listed next to the lunch plates. Not sure why. Its not hard to put some numbers there. You simply just have to ask and it seems most plates run about $7-$8. Also dont have business cards but was given a catering card. The Reading Road location is just as good so you can expect consistency at both locations. Service is always excellent. Don't let the location throw you off. It is connected to the convenience store so you can just walk over a few feet and get you a coffee or soda.

This is very authentic. Very fresh and cook well just right. Gladly will come again. Please stop by and try their food. There is hospitality for guests. Try the tortas, the tacos or flautas. Yummm.

Great breakfast tacos. Grab a Mexican coke at the gas station and a potato/egg & cheese taco and you're set for the day. The rest of their food is just decent.

Drove by this place plenty of times and never thought about stopping. A couple of friends told me I had to try this place so I did and I wasn't disappointed. I've only eaten breakfast here so the breakfast tacos and menudo are good and freshly made. I do plan on trying lunch so I'll update my review later.

Their taquitos are excellent, my favorite is the eggs and potatoes and the fajita taquito. They don't serve up any drinks( coffee, juice, etc) but there is a gas station next door. Atmosphere is really casual and laid back. Try the green salsa, it's my favorite."

Came here for a bowl of menudo on Sunday am. I ordered a large bowl expecting home cooked menudo. It tasted and smelled good, but my senses say it came from a can. Sigh. They didn't even have the bottled Coke. She motioned for me to buy drinks at the gas station. Nah. Im a one stop shopper. The agua de orchata was meh. Not fresh. Maybe I will try their tacos next time.

never been to the SL location but on reading road that place has excellent tacos and great menudo and barbacoa
