How to Do Napa Without Breaking the Bank

"Chispa is a newly opened tequila-focused restaurant by the vets of the decade-old Cadet Wine and Beer Bar. The menu nods to Mexican cuisine but has a global purview, featuring dishes like Kung Pao Octopus and Oyster Mushrooms. Enjoy a mezcal-based La Flama Piña cocktail while reflecting on how wine country is full of affordable surprises."

The Best Cocktail Bars in California Wine Country

"Conveniently located in downtown Napa, Chispa is a new tequila-focused cocktail spot (opening in late July/early August 2023) by Aubrey Bailey and Taylor Kindred, the duo behind the beloved Cadet Wine & Beer Bar a few blocks away. Noteworthy cocktails include the Side Eye, made with tequila blanco, bitter pomegranate liqueur, and hibiscus, and the Delta Diamond, made with popcorn-infused tequila reposado, amaro, and corn liqueur." - Kristin Tice Studeman

Google
Great food and agave selection. The service could be a bit friendlier and the price is marked up for being in Napa. But, I understand the cost of doing business and am happy to have a reliable tequila and Mezcal bar to visit when in town.

Google
Food was good! But service was super awkward and the drinks were very weak and felt more like juice and watered down than craft cocktails. They were well presented though.

Google
I happened on Chispa by accident + I loved it! My waitress was super lovely and helpful with the menu, a lot of the menu is sharing so she recommended what was suitable for a solo diner. I had the ceviche and the fish tacos and both of them were really yummy, especially the taro chips which accompanied the ceviche - they should be sold by the bag!! 🤌🏻 My server was super super lovely and I even got a list of recommendations from her for the area 🥹

Google
Came to Napa for a girls trip and wanted to try something different other than a steakhouse or winery. We decided to pop into Chispa - great atmosphere and aesthetically pleasing. We sat at the bar and were waited on by the bartender. He was very short and not welcoming. I excused it thinking maybe he was just not having a good day. But as we stayed a bit longer , we were never checked on and had to reach out to ask him for additional service. The food was yummy but the drinks we ordered were subpar. We even noticed another patron that was dining in the bar area did not seem happy with the service and tossed back her drink and left quickly. We were going to stay for full service dining but after that experience we decided to go somewhere else in downtown Napa. Again, it wasn’t the restaurant as a whole more so the service we received from this individual. Oysters were great!

Google
Best cocktail spot in Napa. Women owned! Chispa is the by far the best cocktail spot in Napa and the atmosphere is epic. Chic and fun and always a great time. The food is delicious and it’s just a thoughtful spot all around. Supporting the female founders is just the icing on top.

Javier Calderon

Google
Great addition to Napa's Downtown restaurant and bar scene, Cadet’s proprietors have opened this second business venture, Chispa, focused on Tequila and seafood. When we say in Spanish that this person has chispa, we mean they have something special that makes them shine on their own and attract people toward them because of that something beautiful. Great name :)

Google
By far one of the most terrible restaurants in napa. Do your best to avoid this place, flavorless and boring, subpar food, bad service and expensive. Just go anywhere else and you'll be better off. Honestly everything was not good, cocktails are lackluster, food was flavorless and unexciting. The only thing that can be done is a total revamp of the menu, perhaps actually providing flavor instead of tweezer food will help.

Google
My husband craves their steak and I love the chicken and the rice is a perfect accompaniment. Everything we have had is delicious. There tequila drinks are super solid as well and we do love tequila!

Yelp
Our Sunday afternoon took us to Chispa for drinks and bites. It was not as crowded as I have seen in past so we were served promptly. We tried the ceviche, fish tacos and seafood croquettes. I definitely would order the ceviche next time. Oh the margarita was also good and strong. It was a one and done for me. I would bring my girlfriends here next time. Cool spot in downtown Napa.

Yelp
Chispa Restaurant - A Hidden Gem in Napa Chispa in Napa is an absolute surprise in the best way possible. From the moment you step inside, the decor sets the tone for an upscale yet welcoming experience. The drinks are refreshing, but the real star here is the food--an absolute must-try. We started with the Tequila Steak, Crudo, and Seafood Ceviche, and each dish was to die for. So much so that we couldn't resist exploring more of the menu, including the Spicy Octopus--a dish I normally wouldn't go for, but I found myself unable to stop eating. Every bite was a perfect balance of flavors and textures. To finish, the churros with divine chocolate sauce were the perfect ending to an already unforgettable meal. This was, without a doubt, one of the most incredible dining experiences, and we'll be back for more. Whether it's a romantic date night or a relaxed Sunday afternoon, Chispa delivers on all fronts. A huge thank you to the chef and owner, who made us feel like family. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
Yummy tapas. Cute interior. Loved the steak, ceviche, rainbow carrots, it came with taro chips. Friendly service. Came on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Able to be seated right away. I'm sure it's more crowded during sunny days. Would come back!

Yelp
Came on a Sunday night to hang with my girls and had some great drinks and great bites! The interior is super cute! Nice, clean, and elegant (but not to the point where you look out of place if you come in some jeans). I love how the bar is central where guests are seated. Their drink menu had some good variety to it. Among the fave cocktails ordered were the Side Eye and the Guava cup. We also did a round of their Chispacho shooters, which I sadly and immediately regretted once we took them. As far as food goes, I was actually pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect much, but everything we ordered was pretty good and went well with our cocktails. We got the guac and queso (which you obviously can never go wrong with), an order of calamari, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the oyster mushrooms (so umami!!). The service was fantastic. They were attentive, speedy, and so entertaining to our table. I forget what our server's name was but they were great! No complaints at all!

Yelp
What's not to like, even the spicy octopus (5/5) dish which was a fave by all! I liked everything I ate and drank and would order it all again. My faves: Tequila Steak (4.5/5) and Chicken in Mole Verde (5/5) & cocktail La Pina Flama. The sauces on everything were exceptional so ask for tortillas (homemade!!!) to sop it all up!

Yelp
What a fun atmosphere. We visited this very cute bar that specializes in tequila. We ordered a tasting to try out some smaller, unknown to us tequilas. They were each unique in their own way. The bartender was great at explaining all the information about each tequila from where it was made to the flavor profiles. We will definitely come back to try the food.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick bite on a Saturday afternoon. Delicious food and a relaxing vibe.

Yelp
Mannnn I really wanted to love this place. But it honestly is not worth the high price tag. I'd really give this place a 3.5 . It was just us in the restaurant when we came in. So it was pretty dead. Here's what we ordered: Fried Avocado (this was super delicious) Tequila Steak (this was undercooked, came out medium rare even after asking for medium and they did take it back and cook it to temp) Roasted Oysters (this was really good too) Crab Roll With Caviar (this was really good as well) very fresh and tasty. For desert we ended with Silvanas, this was really tasty. The service was mediocre, never really checked in on us, had zero food or drink recommendations. Which sucks for it to be empty. The drinks were good but not memorable and definitely not strong for the price it was disappointing. Here's the kicker, we spent almost $300 for dinner and left and went to McDonalds for a large fry. Although the place is cute the mediocre service combined with small plates and high price point makes this a place I wouldn't return to. Parking is street parking.

Yelp
A couple of my friends and I came here to celebrate a birthday. It was very lively for a early Friday evening and place with pretty packed. The ambiance was perfect and great for dining with friends or even for a date night. The staff were friendly and helpful with selecting items from the menu. We ordered a few tapas and they were all tasty. We ordered the kung pao octopus, croquettes, fried avocado, Tequilla Steak and pork chop. We enjoyed all of it.

Yelp
Nice new restaurant in downtown Napa. I hope they succeed and do well! Quiet on a Saturday morning brunch at 1030am. It was restaurant week so all my friends opted for the tasting menu which was a great deal. I ordered off the regular a la carte menu and got the mushrooms which were very flavorful and the crab roll which came with a nice buttery roll and some large lumps of caviar. The crab tasted very fresh so I enjoyed that. My friends like their steak as well. It seems to be quite a small portion though if you are having that as an entree... but maybe it is bigger if you order from the regular menu. Very clean and luxurious feeling indoor space. Great coffee and cocktails (margaritas). Our server was also very kind and attentive! She gave me a free dessert even though I was not doing the restaurant week meal. Thank you!!!

Yelp
I came here for drinks and it happened to be happy hour! We had a couple of oysters and cocktails. The Ricky Bobby was my favorite drink. It's their specialty whiskey cocktail. The ambiance was beautiful and the staff was very friendly! I highly recommend visiting this place!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was great. Very trendy and aesthetically pleasing. They had a variety of drinks on their menu, mainly tequila drinks. While it wasn't very busy when we visited on a Thursday night, I wish it wouldn't have been so loud. Weather was nice, doors were open but somehow it was still very loud and not very pleasant to have a conversation.

Yelp
Chispa is everything all the good reviews say and more! Food, ambiance, service and delicious, artistic cocktails that will make you always wanting more! I've been a few times now and each time, I'm so impressed and grateful for the fun vibes, and welcoming atmosphere paired with top notch service, food and drinks. Highly recommend to anyone in the downtown Napa area.

Yelp
Swanky new tequila bar... With a Filipino chef... In Napa?! I'm here for it! I don't drink wine so when I read about Chispa Bar (from the owner(s) of Cadet), I had to pay a visit during a Napa staycation. Walk-in only, no rezzies. They have indoor and dog-friendly outdoor seating. M E N U Cocktail bar with an extensive tequila selection from small batch brands. Signature cocktails: $13-$18. There's a $10 Chispacho shooter (tomato juice + tequila) and 100% of the funds go towards the staff's education fund. Seafood centric food menu with an Asian bent. Link to drink + food menu: https://tinyurl.com/m3pyd9yx. There's a separate book with the spirit list. No HH specials. They charge a $1 for block ice and $1 service charge for using a credit card (without giving you a heads up). Yes, it's only a $1 but IMO, it should be built into the already premium pricing. D R I N K * Fortaleza Blanco Still Strength ($22/shot + $1 ice): https://tinyurl.com/2xz5kukn Fortaleza is my fav but it's incredibly hard to find in SF and in still strength, forgetaboutit! It's soooo smooth and easy to drink with earthy, citrusy, black pepper notes. Doesn't have the vanilla notes like the regular blanco. * Tesoro Highball ($13 x2) Couldn't decide between the Cascahuin or El Negocio with club soda, and our server recommended the Tesoro Highball on the menu since they have it on tap. Light on the alkie but it's just what I needed to stay hydrated. Love the strong effervescence of the club soda...so refreshing! F O O D * 1/2 Dozen Oysters ($25): https://tinyurl.com/yksk7kh7 The Kumamoto oysters were fresh but some weren't thoroughly shucked as they were stuck to the shell. Served with a tangy mignonette and tequila infused cocktail sauce. * Lumpia w/ pork, sweet chili sauce (3 pc - $15): https://tinyurl.com/3h3hxe4t Hot, golden brown, and crunchy with a savory, moist pork filling. Loved that it was crowned with a slice of pepper for heat and served with a punchy sweet and sour sauce. $5/lumpia is steep but it's so good and made with quality ingredients. * Silvanas Meringue cookies w/ pistachio, buttercream, vanilla, craham (sic?) cracker crust ($8, charged $10 on the bill): https://tinyurl.com/3m64ef2b Usually Filipino desserts put me in a diabetic coma but I was curious to try their take on silvanas, a Filipino frozen sandwich cookie inspired by dacquoise, a French cake. Instead of the traditional cashew meringue wafer, graham crackers are used so you get that extra crunch (chef's family recipe). It's filled with a rich, frozen buttercream that's balanced by the savory pistachios. Deliciously satisfying and not overly sweet. S E R V I C E Friendly and knowledgeable. If you're new to the tequila world, the staff is there to help guide so don't be shy to ask questions. Chef Mac came out to thank us for visiting which was such a nice touch! He's so kind and humble. My only recommendation is to show customers an itemized bill. We were just shown the total on the handheld pos and didn't catch the price discrepancy of the silvanas until after I received the receipt via email. A M B I A N C E Swanky, trendy cocktail bar with open sliding doors for that indoor-outdoor feels: https://tinyurl.com/yyhsnn6t. There's overhead heat lamps in the patio area. Great place for GNO or a hot date since there isn't anything like this in the area. P A R K I N G Easy street parking since it's off the main drag. Overall, Chispa Bar is a welcome addition to Napa and if it was closer to me, I would be a regular...on payday because it can get $$$. If you're a tequila or craft cocktail enthusiast, def hit them up!

Yelp
I was recommended Chispa from a family friend and it did not disappoint! My husband and I came in on a Friday night, no reservation needed. They were able to seat us wherever we wanted, but we chose to sit at the bar. Shout out to our bartender, Matthew, who took his time to explain the different Reposados, recommend different drinks, and made friendly conversation that made us feel welcome. We'd definitely come back for this reason! It's an intimate setting with a modern and clean aesthetic, and the music, 90s hip hop and R&B, made the whole experience a vibe! We ordered the Tequila Steak and Oyster Mushrooms which were fulfilling. They paired well with the Damianas Dream, Camino de la muerte, and Tequila Ocho that we drank. Overall, a great experience. We certainly recommend and hope to be back soon!
google avatar

Rochelle D.

Yelp
We heard that the head chef of Chispa was filipino, so of course we wanted to check out the menu. On a Friday night, it wasn't too busy, and we were seated at an outdoor high-top. Now I think I'm getting old because I couldn't read the menu without turning on my cell phone light. My eyes immediately gravitated towards the Camino de la Muerte, a great tequila and bourbon cocktail - punctuated with an ice cube with their cheeky logo. It was a great balance and not too spirit forward. If you're planning on getting food, try to ge your order in as soon as your server greets you....they will be very hard to find the moment your drink hits your table. Because that cocktail was so good! We grabbed a second round. I'm not a gatekeeper, so I raved and raved about this place to some friends, who unfortunately, didn't have the same experience I did. They were able to get their drinks, but were unable to order food because the servers were preoccupied with looking at their phones. Talk about being embarrassed. Let's get it together Chispa! I have high hopes for you....

Yelp
So, we wanted to try a new place in town and this was close. Some of the reviews talked about the service and now I see why. In the beginning we were contacted right away and it was open seating so we sat down on high tables. Our waitress came right away and took our drink orders along with our appetizer. All we ordered was a queso dip. We received our drinks which was a nice Rose, and a Tempranillo, both were very nice. We ordered the Ceviche and the pork belly lettuce wraps. We received both of those first before our queso dip. The ceviche was good, tasty, and no spice. The pork belly fell well short. Not much pork in the wrap, overcooked, and no flavor to it. We almost finished our tapas before we finally received our queso dip. The dip was really good , a little spice in it, and great flavor along with the chips. I was full on that alone because I didn't get much pork belly. Our waitress although very nice came over to check on us when we were done with our tapas. Although, I believe the hostess or manager did check on us when she delivered our queso. Nice place and great ambience. Wish I could give it more starts. Sorry forgot to take a pic of the queso dip.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday afternoon for some drinks and bites. The drinks were good and made us think the food would follow suit but we were instead extremely disappointed. Salmon crudo- salmon quality was not the good for the price and the sauce it sat in was begging for any sort of flavor other than olive oil. Seafood croquettes- these were good but honestly were like a mediocre takoyaki for double the price you'd normally pay. Crab roll- felt like no passion or care was put into this thing. The caviar was definitely not sturgeon and the crab was nothing special. In summary, food felt like it was begging for some human with a passion for flavor and cooking to take over. This was honestly such a sad experience. I'd been wanting to try this place since it opened and I'm glad I finally did because now I'll make sure to steer people away from it when they visit.

Yelp
Great food, great service and awesome ambiance! Let's start with the cocktails! The one on the bottom I am holding I can't remember the name and it's not in the menu was one of the best cocktail I've ever had. I asked the bartender what was it made of and he explained the process they do to make the mulberry syrup! I was amazed of their process they put in their cocktails. For appetizer, we ordered the seafood croquettes. They didn't skimp on ingredients here. Crispy on the outside and moist inside. The fish tacos were delish that we ordered another one! The grilled chicken thighs were juicy and the sauce I was nice! The desserts were ok. I think they can do better. I would totally come back!

Yelp
We were visiting our son and decided to grab a bite and a drink,it was almost 9pm and this place was busy and they were super nice and were able to seat us. Dani was super friendly and took care of use and made us feel welcome. Great food and wines of course, The carrot dish is a must have.. Forgot to mention great cocktails too. I really wasn't expecting how good the food would taste. We loved every bite. Nice bar and plenty of seating. It was fun and has some good nightlife. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
Great ambiance and good tasting drinks. However the price for the drinks and food were pretty high for what you get. Drinks - between $18-22 Food - $28 - $30 (appetizer size) Everyone in our party ordered one/two sides, a main dish and a drink which came out to $100 + per person and unfortunately everyone left hungry =\.
google avatar

Lunell G.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place, but the food & prices were not it. I ordered Seafood croquet they were just okay, the cooked Oyster was not cooked, it was their version of Rockfella. It was horrible and 4 for $25.00 Nothijg was hot about the oyster, cheese and bread crumbs just sat on top . I just wanted to go, please hand my check. The price is absurd! Never again.
google avatar

Karena V.

Yelp
I was really excited to check out Chispa for the first time but was very disappointed in the service. I was a group of 5 & the minute we walked in we were told there weren't tables available because we needed a reservation which is fine. We sat at the bar but no one was ever friendly or hospitable. Only the woman serving the water was nice & smiled. The bartender and busters were very cold to us. As a Latina I was so happy to support this establishment but with that service, why would I want to go back or recommend people here. I hope they do better.
google avatar

Cecille P.

Yelp
I've really enjoyed (as a local) popping in to this bar for a cocktail treat from time to time. The bartenders are very knowledgeable about tequila (and all the others!) Tonight the bartender created a shot for me based on the flavors of Tajin (a Mexican all seaoning) and fruit, sort of like the seasoned fresh mangoes you can get from a street vendor. I am here to tell you... exponentially impressed! Next time you stop in, ask for a "Monday Special" Slightly sweet, a little spicy, with a tequila kick. Ozzy was the guy who created this specialty!!
google avatar

Mari M.

Yelp
Came here to try out this new fun tapas bar in the Napa Valley. We did not need reservations, we came after work on a Wednesday. Ambience was nice, we got to sit outdoors. Food was overall okay. I was not blown away by anything in particular. Drinks were just okay as well. Small place and not very attentive staff. Our waiter took down our orders and food was out shortly no complaints about that. After we got our food we didn't see our waiter and no one checked in on us. We had to flag down the bar tender for the bill. Once he finally brought the bill it took him another 30min to process payment, I think he forgot about us. He did apologize. Note the place wasn't very busy. Overall okay experience but probably won't be returning anytime soon.
google avatar

Tessa S.

Yelp
I was hoping the previous reviews about the disappointment in the food were exaggerated, however, I'd have to agree. Drinks are great. Which was the primary reason we picked Chispa. We wanted good cocktails with our dinner. They delivered. The food however was what I expected from earlier reviews: Small portions and lacking flavor. This spot would do soooo much better if they advertised as primarily a cocktail bar with a few dishes ( like tacos and dips only ) The other dishes we ordered were extremely over priced, and biggest fail was the chimichurri steak. WHO COOKS THE FRESH CHIMICHURRY?!! The fesh cilantro is the entire point, and the flavor. Instead it was brown wilted and gross. I'm wondering if this was a new chef's mistake?? Seems rookie to me and it's hard for me to believe this was intentional. Service was good, bartender checked on us often too which was nice. But yeah. I really think if they simplified the menu and kept the solid basics they can execute like tacos and queso and focus on the drink sales they can be solid. All in all the food felt mostly like a rip off. This is not a dinner place and I wish they wouldn't advertise it like it was.
google avatar

Laura E.

Yelp
This place is super cute! I arrived right after it opened and it filled up relatively quick. They have bar seating, regular table seating and a couple of more private booth options. The bartenders were all very knowledgeable about the drink options and the food. I loved everything I got. The drinks tasted fresh and had a perfect balance of alcohol. The food was crisp but not overly fried and not greasy at all. The price is pretty average for Napa. I will definitely be back!

Jacque W.

Yelp
Food and service was great! Enjoyed sitting outside enjoying the sunshine. Drinks were tasty. My daughters were in town to visit me and they really enjoyed this place.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're looking for a vibrant spot with top-tier drinks and surprisingly stellar food, this tequila bar is a must-visit. It's the kind of place where you'll want to stay for "just one more" and already be planning your next visit. The staff is very friendly & knowledgeable on tequila selections. Every dish is worth trying, especially the seafood!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch while visiting Napa. Amazing food, amazing service and great atmosphere. Had the skirt steak, chili rellano and a side of rice. Amazing meal!
google avatar

Dewayne W.

Yelp
Flat out the food was amazing!!! The pork chop was the best I ever had, perfect combination of seasoning and able to taste all the flavors. Shrimp was perfect and I forgot what the red sauce was underneath it but it was a great mix! Chicken was really good and tender the green sauce was a great combo. Guacamole was okay it was good but had better. Margarita was okay and enjoyable. Overall a great restaurant and will definitely be coming back!! Atmosphere was chill and relaxed. Highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Kelli D.

Yelp
The restaurant only had about 10 people or so and yet the food was SUPER SLOW coming out of the kitchen and when we did finally get our order one dish at a time it wasn't good. We tried several different dishes and the only one that I can recommend is the tequila steak. The oysters with shrimp head butter were especially bad tasting. The service was incredibly impersonal and when we asked about waiting 30 minutes before we even got our first item we were told that's how tapas works. Ummm no it's not. If you want good tapas go to ZuZu.
google avatar

Steph P.

Yelp
The ambiance here is fantastic--really cozy and inviting. However, the food was pretty underwhelming. We tried a few dishes, and while nothing was terrible, it just lacked flavor and excitement. Great spot for drinks or a chill vibe, but the food didn't quite live up to the setting.
google avatar

Cezar F.

Yelp
Service was great. Matthew the bartender was very hospitable and knowledgeable. Food was on point. Great flavor and great choices. The drinks were delicious. Strong and refreshing . Ambience is eclectic and roomy. Nice atmosphere. Will go again .
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
Popped in on a recent early Sunday evening and shared a yummy bottle of Nebbiolo rosé with a friend (I'm not a tequila drinker) then took home the roasted carrots and -- OMG! -- the freaking so delicious king pao octopus dish. I'm still dreaming about that and will be back for it again soon. Friendly service in a stylish setting.

Yelp
We'd passed by a number of times and meant to stop in. At the west end of 1st, it's just off the beaten track for downtown Napa. So beat down the path, because it is worth it! The restaurant is small, so the service is very personal. The menu is a cut above bar food. I got the chimichurri flatiron steak and the sautéed mushroom. Perfectly cooked. Perfectly seasoned. Just the right amount of heat on the chimichurri. The sautéed mushrooms were similarly perfectly executed: amber and flavorful. My partner got the chicken mole with a side of rice. First... okay, rice, pedestrian, right? Wrong! The citrus was super flavorful and was so good with the chicken they should make it one dish on the menu! The chicken was moist, well-seasoned, and the mole simply impeccable. The drink menu alone would make it worth the trip. I got the gin cocktail (something and boozy). It was herbaceous, balanced, and a great pairing with the steak. This place is a hidden gem. We are definitely coming back for date night!

Yelp
Walking by and a full line up of Fortaleza caught my eye so turned around and stopped in. Quickly I noticed a huge selection of my favorite additive free tequilas and a few more I've been wanting to try. A quick chat with the bartender he gave me a recommendation on a reposado by Siembra Azul. I've been interested in this tequila and it did not disappoint !! The bar has an upscale elegant vibe, dimly lit but the bottles shine bright !! If you love and appreciate great tequila this is your spot, sure prices can be high but hey aren't pouring you crappy celebrity tequila this is high quality/ hard to find spirits !
google avatar

Lennie-Jane U.

Yelp
Love this new spot! Everything was spectacular! My husband and I celebrated his birthday there and boy did they take care of us. Our drinks and the tapas we ordered were amazing! They surprised us three times at different times with a salad, oyster shooters, and last but not least Silvana desserts -- on the house. Absolutely delicious! From our beautiful and friendly server, Jade, to the owners and all staff we came across...nothing but smiles and wonderful service! Great vibes, food, and peoples! We will definitely be back. Chispa made us feel special.

Pretty chill spot right before you hit all the spots downtown. Great spot for drinks and a conversation with friends and significant others

Yelp
Amazing customer service by Matthew at the bar! I desperately needed an espresso martini to kick off the night and he improvised with cold brew (what a gem, not stuffy at all). The food was good - steak, octopus, coquetas. We got there around 8pm and I would recommend to arrive more after 9pm if you want it to be more lively. It's a new spot and it's gorgeous with a lot of potential -- I recommend having a live band and playing music louder... looking forward to returning on my next Napa trip!

Yelp
Every detail was 5 star! So many GF items all prepared with extra care. A little pricey but SO worth it!

Yelp
Food was average. I consider it bar food, not restaurant quality. Drinks were pretty good. Service was good but server outfit was stained and dirty (turn off for me for a place that is suppose to be upscale)

Yelp
A delightful new addition to downtown Napa. Nice big bar with plenty of seating. All the cocktails looked yummy, but I am a sucker for a well made margarita and they delivered. It was, IMO, a perfect margarita. The menu had so many delicious looking items it was hard to choose what to order. My husband had been before and loved the fish tacos, but we wanted to try something different. I have never had a fried avocado before, but OMG, crazy good. Very indulgent and the portion was a lot so its a bit much for 2 people, even though we ate every bit of it. We also ordered the steak with chimichurri. Again, very generous plate full of beautifully cooked beef that melted in your mouth. I do have a few issues however, there are no little sides and we were probably hasty when ordering so we did not really realize that our two dishes were all fat and all protein and I needed a carb to balance them out. The menu offers nothing in the way of chips or tortillas to order. Our server asked the chef if he could provide us with some tortillas and we were told yes for 2 dollars a piece. Sure why not? I spoke with the manager/owner about why there were no menu options and she was very nice and comped the tortillas. Those house made tortillas were so good I would have happily paid for them. I told her I would love to see them on the menu because they make the perfect accompaniment for that beef dish to sop up all that delicious chimichurri and beef juices. We will be definitely be back to try more stuff.

Yelp
Service was great. The very expensive food was not worth it at all!!!! The food isn't bad but it's focused on the spicy without salt or other elements to balance the tiny plates for the very over priced food. The place was empty on Mother's Day and I understand why. There are many many other places in Napa with great food to choose from.

Yelp
The owners are slave drivers and as a result can't keep staff. The food has gone down in quality and flavor. Simply, you can't be successful and run a business if all you care about is money and refuse to give a crap about your employees.
