Chitalian Pizzeria

Went for the first time to try the meat lovers pizza. While browsing the menu saw the fried catfish and decided to try that as well. The pizza was very good and lived up to the meat lovers name. It was a bit of drive home, but after putting a few pieces in the air fryer the mozzarella was excellent. It tasted like fresh mozzarella cheese and bubbled nicely in the air fryer. The fish was actually catfish and not sole, swai, or some other white fish some establishments try to pass off as catfish. It was cooked crispy and the extra little salty spice sprinkled on the fish added a nice seasoning. The staffer was polite when he had to correct my order - exchange the fries for the onion rings. They looked good, but not a fan of onions, my spouse said they were decent. The mozzarella sticks were pretty good as well, nice and cheesy with a zesty marinara sauce.

My friend suggested this place because he'd been before and said the food was good. I took his word for it and I'm glad I did. Wasn't busy when we went. Greeted upon entering. I like the vibe and ambiance of the place. Good music. The frozen margarita drink was good. The food was amazing. I got the supreme pizza and my friend got the meatlovers. He also ordered the wings for me to try. They came plain. I didn't know to order it with the sauce on them. No worries the server brought me the sauce and I dipped the wings and they were just as delicious. Nice, hot, and crispy. I'd definitely go back.

Today, I decided to go to this restaurant for lunch. This is My fourth time patronizing. My aunt that lives in Mississippi came with me because she wanted a good Italian beef sandwich… Since she’s originally from Chicago. The waiter Callisto was polite as always. We ordered our drinks which were water and Dr Peppers He stated that they don’t have any soda besides Coke, so we said we will take that. He came back with waters and apologetically informed us that there is no soda at all in the restaurant for us to purchase. We don’t drink liquor and we wanted something besides water, preferably caffeine to wash the Pizza, Chicken, Italian beef and fries down. I had to leave the restaurant and go to the gas station a block up the street and purchase soda pop fountain drinks. By the time I came back with the drinks for us, I was apologizing to my aunt who sat there waiting for the food. The food was delicious as always! However, The ticket came out and we were charged for the cokes that we never received. I told the waiter and he took The ticket up to the cashier and informed her. When he brought the new ticket back, the drinks were taken off, but the taxes were still the same as the older receipt. I got up and went to the counter and explained to the young lady, who seemed very nonchalant and she stated she understands, but she can’t do anything about the taxes because its a set amount. I informed her if the amount of the ticket reduced, the taxes should have reduced as well. She said there was nothing she can do about it. It was already set in the cash register. I already compromised about the soda that I had to go and fetch myself, however I feel like that tax situation was overboard and it was not a concern for her. I continued to patronize because I am from Illinois myself as I have been told the owners are and it’s a black owned business. I do not think I will return after this because of the lack of concern and the lack of accommodations that were exhibited. I am including both receipts in this review it’s not about the amount it’s about the principle! It’s about the fact that I still patronized, even after going to get my own soda pop from elsewhere and bringing it back for a dine in experience after I have bragged about this place to my Aunt. I am very disappointed.

Pizza was really good cut in squares, with crispy edges! Better than home run inn! They served real wings! Good size drums and flats. Authentic Chi-town experience, We’ll be back.

Pizza was on point! Place had great music so the vibe was good! Wasn’t many people there but everyone seemed to be enjoying their time. We ordered a frozen margarita and Supreme Pizza. First bite we were both nodding like Yeah! 👍🏽

The waitress was awesome. She welcomed me when I walked in and checked on me as I waited for my to go order. The wait was about 10 to 15 minutes and worth it once I viewed my order. Wings and fish with fries. The flavor!!!!

Not the experience I was hoping for. We dined at Chitalian on a Monday afternoon (around 1:40–2:15 PM) and unfortunately, it wasn’t a great first impression. The restaurant was completely empty when we walked in, and we were immediately met with an odd smell—like sewer mixed with strong cleaning products. A couple showed up after us and shortly left without ordering. Two of the items we originally wanted (the pizza puff and ranch for the wings) were out. I asked for hot water with lemon and was told they didn’t have that either. We ended up sharing the fried fish, which was okay, but the ketchup container didn’t look clean. If they are that slow why are they out of items in the menu and their condiments not clean! Service wasn’t great—our server was mostly on their phones, standing around and didn’t come by to refill drinks until we were finished eating (because I had to ask as the server came by and walked away). Also be aware: they charge a 15% service gratuity fee on all dine-ins, even if it’s just two people. There’s a small frame in the corner that mentions this, but it’s easy to miss. This makes me feel that they don’t trust their service and they get you in the front end. Overall, it didn’t feel welcoming or well-managed. I’m not sure if it was an off day, but I wouldn’t return based on this visit.

Everything was perfect. Best Chicago style pizza in Texas!! Wings were cooked to perfection & seasoning was amazing! Drink was tasty and strong. Highly recommend, I just wish we lived here. We ordered an extra pizza to take back on our drive home.

This place may as well be in Dallas - I live in Missouri City - I have no business being this far North in the city BUT...... thank GOD I was! I actually have known about this spot for years when it was just a food truck and folks were RAVING about the pizza. I was out there way with a sorority sister that is from Chicago so we decided to give it a try and she was in HEAVEN - 10/10 from her on the Italian Beef - get it dipped she says. I got the Chitalian special pizza and OMGGG it was AMAZING - so very good!! Can't remember how much I paid, I can confirm however much it was, it was WORTH EVERY PENNY. I might even consider driving all the way there on purpose lol! 2025 BIG BACK APPROVED!!!!

I'm a believer! Legit I'm a huge fan! Let's talk on it. I was looking for a spot to have lunch. I was going to drop in but opted for something quick. But Chitalian sat on my mind. Went to a wrestling event and hit this up right after. Walked in and instantly greeted and sat by our great waiter. It was a Saturday night so they had a DJ, hookah and liquor drink specials. We opted for a couple of the vodka punches, the meat lovers pizza and wings with fries. We got the lemon pepper and Chicago mild sauce. OMFG. The flavors. Those wings are decadent. Get them! Fries are amazing. The pizza was delicious also. The vibe was chill and waiter was the true star. Definitely will be going back!

I have to be honest... I wasn't impressed with the food here. I was solo and I didn't want a whole pizza to myself, so I ordered the pizza puff given it has the same pizza sauce and other ingredients. It was a miss for me, which leads me to believe that I may not enjoy the pizza here either. After that miss, I said let me try out some chicken wings... cause you know, can't go wrong with those. The size of the wings are cool, but the flavor could have been better. The vibe and aesthetic here is cool as they have BYOB and music at night.

The food was absolutely delightful, bursting with flavors that danced on my palate. However, I should have taken a closer look at the menu-- the pizza, while delicious, was smaller than I had anticipated for the price. Nonetheless, each bite was a savory explosion that kept me wanting more. I will undoubtedly return, especially because the wings were exceptional as well; we savored them tossed in a zesty, aromatic dry rub with chitalian seasoning that elevated the dish to new heights.

Chitalian pizzeria is phenomenal, very cool atmosphere with a laid back, music in the background, football games on every screen (it's Saturday). My homie from Chicago told me this is true authentic Chicago food, so I had to try it. I ordered 8 wings and fries dine, it cost around $15-$16. Which was on the pricier side I thought originally, but when the food came I was impressed and excited alone by the presentation. As I proceeded to bite into a wing, I noticed it was cooked to a perfect crisp. My taste buds EXPLODED was the mixture of lemon pepper and mild sauce collided to a perfectly coordinated two-step on my tongue. I am absolutely astonished how flavorful and enjoyable this meal was. Well worth the price and well worth the wait, I'll be back a lot more. No doubt should give this place a try, hats off to some authentic food from up Nawf.

I was in the area and saw that a new Italian restaurant was coming soon, but not soon enough. All I could think of at that point was how badly I wanted a legit Italian beef sandwich. Growing up in Chicago, I am very particular about Italian beef and really haven't found a place out here that I wanted to return for a second visit. I saw the name of this place and thought, why not? So here I am, with fingers crossed, hoping for the best. It was pretty good. Was it super great, no, I kind of think the beef might have been a little bit overcooked or maybe leftover from yesterday, but it was still good and it scratched an itch. Next time I'm in this neighborhood, I'll probably come back and get another one because it fit the bill for me. People were friendly in there which goes a long way always. The sandwich portion was perfect for me actually. I know some people would probably hope for a bigger sandwich for $15 but there was a lot of meat in it. And the gairdinaire was on point, had a nice kick, I enjoyed it. So when you want an authentic and pretty good Italian beef sandwich, check this place out.

Great food and service! Plus, they are always so friendly. This is a distance from home...so I will always grab something when I'm in the area. Hopefully they'll open another location in the Katy-Cypress area.

Great pizza, great decorations, great vibes overall. I do wish the service was a bit more attentive from the owner. However, the food was delicious. The wings were great as well.

Ordered two pizzas for pickup and they were delicious. More than enough for five people to eat and still have leftovers. We settled on the cheese plus two toppings (pepperoni and bacon and pepperoni and chicken) but I would like to try their white sauce at some point. Since I picked it up I was able to see inside the establishment. Very clean, open and lots of seating. Also i was really grateful that my order was ready when I arrived-it was waiting on me which is rare for most restaurants. Would definitely go back.

the food was so disappointing After spending over 70.00 the pizza was so heavily sauced and not even cut all the way though then we paid 16.00 for 8 wings that hardly had a squirt of sauce on them instead of them trying to rectify the problem they tell me because they heavily sauce their pizza then I have to initially request for a lite lite sauce besides ordering Chicago wild wet sauce wings w blue cheese 8 piece only the 3 wings at the top had sauce they tell me they I have to request for my wings to be tossed in sauce and then they didn't put the dressing for the wings! I called and a woman manager was trying to assist me but then the owner a man gets on the line and choose to argue with me like I told him I'm not calling for a Regina or replacement I just want to inform you about the horrible product but he didn't want to hear what I had to say

Great customer service, quick response! They also have Ciitalian after dark on the weekends where they offer hookah 10pm-2am!! Will be back!!

Tried this spot with my friends and their 3 kids, and I can't say we'll be back. Our food came out hot and fresh, but would have been cold if we had waited to eat before everybody was served - one pizza took almost an hour to make it to our table and would have been longer if they'd remade it to match what we ordered before our food was given to another table. The pizza puffs were basically deep-fried hot pockets, and the signature seasoning on everything resulted in a one-note flavor. I was surprised by how much I liked the Hawaiian half of our pizza, but my enjoyment was tempered by the amount of time we had to wait and the three hungry kids who had yet to be fed. Also, no kids menu here. An automatic 15% gratuity surprised us.This was our experience; others' may differ.

Excellent food!!! Highly recommend getting the supreme pizza. But everything on the menu looks very good as well.

This is, hands down, the best pizza I have ever had! Cracker-thin crust, but it holds up to whatever toppings you chose. I had the vegetarian and hubby had the meat lovers (covering both sides of the spectrum). They use a signature blend of seasoning in their sauce that takes everything over the top. They started as a food truck and are easing into a newly renovated brick and mortar. Super cute inside with polished concrete floors, an interesting subway tile on the wall, and artwork with an ode to their hometown of Chicago. They are still focusing on carryout business right now, but the service is quick, and our orders are always spot on. Keep an eye out for dine-in availability coming soon, but don't wait to try this place out. You won't regret it. Photo was taken the next day while pizza was cold. It reheats like a dream as well, for those of us who no longer indulge in cold pizza.

What can I say!!?!?!!! I can say DELICIOUS!!!!! Since their food truck days on Kuykendahl this place had not disappointed! Great pizza and wings and I'm so glad that I can order online and walk in to pick up or know dine in. So far, I have never dined in, but the inside looks like a nice place for a casual lunch or dinner. Customer service has always been friendly and helpful.

The wait time here is ridiculous! We sat down 15 minutes before the saints game and second quarter still no food. Was told there were lots of order before us but it was 2 people in the whole place. Make it make since.

I wish I could give them 10 stars. As a native Chicagoan, I've been mostly disappointed in the "Chicago-style" options in HTX. Until now. This is the legit, real-deal, cracker crust, Tavern style Chicago pizza. And yes, they have giardinara - the hot stuff. Who would have guessed that Houston's best pizza can be found in a nondescript shopping center on FM 1960 in far north Houston? We started with the lemon pepper wings- they were perfect. Seriously- the best. For pizza, we went with Italian sausage. The sausage had that yummy fennelly- oregano herby goodness to it with a nice bit of spice- very high quality. The cheese was high quality too - rich and dotted with Italian herbs. It almost tasted like provolone it was so rich. The sauce was perfect - not too sweet- just rich and yummy, slight wine finish to it. The crust was actual cracker crust - thin and crispy but it had enough heft to hold all those delicious toppings. The bartender and all the staff were really warm and welcoming. I tried the sangria - which I often regret because more often than not, it's more sweet than I like. Of course, they nailed it- nice fruit flavor without being cloying or too sweet. It was perfect too! We were blown away- every bite and sip was perfect. The space is clean and comfortable with several televisions with games on. We sat at the bar but there's plenty of tables too. The only complaint is it seemed a little bright for late on Saturday but that's just our preference- we love dark and moody. Apparently they host bands and have some great weekly specials. I can't believe it took us so long to find this place. We'll be back...often!

We heard about this pizza on tik tok and it did not disappoint! But the wings...were FIRE!! The Chitalian Rub, their version of the lemon pepper we so good! Our server Marc M was amazing!!! He took care of us and paid attention to detail. From clearing our used napkins and giving us a new folded one, to making sure my Dr. Pepper cup was never empty! We will definitely be back! My experience on a Sunday evening was unforgettable.

Yes!!! Finally found a place that has amazing Chicago style pizza. The crust was thin, the ingredients were fresh, and the sauce was delicious. In addition, the pizza puffs tasted like back home and the Italian beef was perfectly seasoned. The wings were juicy and flavorful. This place is a home away from home for Chicago pizza. We will be back!

Never been in Chicago. But I like the thin n crispy crust pizza. Lots of cheese, tomato sauce is not too acidic.

Best pizza in Houston! I was very impressed with how much it tasted like Chicago pizza, there are a number of restaurants in Houston that claim to taste like Chicago pizza, and this is the closest one by farrrr. Chitalian Pizzeria off Almeda is a food truck in a small food truck park. There are a few wooden tables for sitting. There is a small parking lot and street parking. Seemed like a pretty lively neighborhood on a Friday night. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning for more!

Walked in ordered a meat lovers to go the waitress said 20 minutes for my order and she was right on spot! Now this was a Friday during lunch hour and it was empty so not sure what happens with there rush hour or when they have more customers on order time.. it took me 30 minutes to get home and my pizza was still hot it was THE ABSOLUTE BEST pizza I've ever had in life! I have had some local neighborhood pizza as well as chained pizza restaurants and this was by far beyond my expectations! I will be back soon!

Sunday visit for lunch. Ordered a pizza, wings and a salad. Pizza was good and the wings were good. The salad was so basic and over priced. $12 for this salad with barely anything on it should just be taken off of the menu if this is what you call a house salad. For reference, a Pappadeaux house salad is loaded and costs 9.95. See photo, and no toppings were eaten off before the photo.

Great wings, okay pizza (but you could tell the pizza sauce was store bought out of a can) Terrible customer service. I placed my order at 4:00 didn't get it until 5:00. And no it wasn't packed or a rush crowd. Not one person apologized for the wait, checked on me, offered a free drink or anything. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but sheesh. I just sat their scrolling on my phone. Manager needs to teach better customer service and time management skills to the employees. Oh and the employees that weren't working were out front at the cash register/bar area texting in their phones. Like what kind've establishment is this?

From out of town and looking for a spot to eat that was open late. Went for pizza. Ordered the wings and they did not disappoint. Meaty and crispy (dry rub). Pizza was thin crust, and was very crispy. Server and host were very accommodating. Would definitely go back.

Today I witnessed a family walk out without paying their bill. I don't blame them....business was slow and so was the service. I sat at the bar at which the owner's mother was working and she did not acknowledge me. This wasn't the first time. I go there at least once a week and sit at the bar....order the same thing and every time she's working it's a problem. Mother's attitude is stank and driving the business down. The food is good....the reason I go back. We can be our own worst enemy.... Do Better People!!!!

Finally made it and they did not disappoint! The food, service and ambiance were on point! Wine Cocktails: -The Gold Coast -Stoney Island Ave Food: -Pepperoni Pizza -Cajun Wings and Catfish -Chicken Alfredo Everything was good. Only "complaint" would be with the wings and drinks. They were good, but there was nothing Cajun about the wings and not a big fan of the drinks being wine based. But aye, I'll for sure be back to try some more menu items!

As a Chicagoan in houston finding good pizza is a struggle. Finally a pizza place that feels tastes like home. This is a true Chicago Italian style thin pizza. The downside is that they don't offer multiple sizes of pizza. The fried shrimp was also great. Can't wait to try the pizza puffs. Wish they had an inner city location!

The service and food was 10/10! Love that they're keeping it simple and classic from the vibe to the pizza. They accommodate greatly !! The music they had going - nice and old school. They were getting ready for the live entertainment on Thursday's it seemed so will definitely be back to check that out ! Tried the mozzarella sticks and a BYO pizza. I love my pizza exactly how they make it- price wasn't too bad at all , I'd say well worth it!

5 years later and it's even better! The best pizza in Houston. It's something about the pizza sauce that makes it so tasty! Delicious fried wings with mild sauce too! Nice owner as well.

Okay ! You know it's good when you gotta stop eating to say THANK YOU !!! I'm feeling like a food party is happening in my stomach and it's so good. I LOVE pizza and I am not even sure how I slept on this place being that it's close to me. So to the business- let us chat about the pizza. Okay not judging because it took opening my mind and pallet to new things but if you're still eating commercial store pizza or even frozen ones - do yourself a favor and try Chitalian Pizzaria! The dough is amazing and not your traditional triangle slices. The crispy edges are delicious with the cheeses settled right on the edge but perfectly melted. The topping are strategically spread around for your taste buds to grab the essence of deliciousness in every bite. *** taking a break to finish eating **** Perhaps my description of this pizza is probably for mature audiences BUT for real this pizza is the best in Texas. The only thing I have left to say is get a fork if you want to keep your pretty nails without a flavor saver later cause the gooey texture of the sauce will drive you wild. I'm not sure I have ever written a review at length but Chitalian Pizzeria is awesome and deserves my time !!! I ordered to go but my pizza was packaged with care and a great temperature. The restaurant is spacious and clean and has a cool Chicago feel. There is also a neat bar at the restaurant so you can get the full service experience with your pizza. Again, don't sleep on this place it's affordable and the service is fantastic and the location is very easy to get to. As you know any review is unpaid and I did not get any free food and the owners/ employees have no clue who I am. Happy eating and exploring great food !!!

The pizza was some of the best I've had. Wings were really tasty too. The drinks were good even though they are wine based. The service was great as well. I will return.

Food was amazing!!!!! Quick service.... I don't like dry rubs but those jerk dry rub wings the fried okra was fried just right, fries absolutely amazing seasoned to perfection & the pizza omg every bit amazing crispy crust wasn't too much & I'm not a pizza person like my husband & kids!!!!! Great place great ambience clean love the setup.... Service was great even though it seemed the server was training she did well as far as recommendations etc.

I ordered the Italian Sausage pizza and an order of wings and fries. The pizza was great and the wings were decent. The only issue was they gave me the wrong flavor wings even though they called me to confirm the right flavor. I love my Black restaurants but there is a tendency to get orders wrong. Good food but just triple check they get your order right.

Love this nugget found via IG! Drove from the woodlands and did not disappoint. We have decided to make this our once a month go to. We went on a Tuesday as I can only imagine how busy they are on the wknd. Plus my crowd preference is also picky. The wings, okra, pizza, and drinks were great. Did I say Drinks!!!! Hit it out of the park. Great flavor across the board. Thin crust is my fav and only way I will eat pizza. 10/10 for good, service, and cute vibe. I'm picky and normally stay within the bubble of The Woodlands. Our server Bailey was so sweet, I want to make certain we acknowledge her! I don't know the young man responsible for this establishment, but I must say I am proud of you!!! Try It! Btw, we would welcome you further north of 45!!! I'm just saying

As a Houstonian who moved here from Illinois it has been impossible to find pizza anywhere near as good as the "thin" crust style from the Chicago area. You know.. the pizza with the toppings cooked under the cheese, cut into squares that just makes you feel like you are back up north for a short period of time. This is as close as we have found and it was absolutely worth the drive. It is a small store front and can get loud inside as it gets busy but the staff working there were all friendly and checked on us multiple times. I can't wait to go back for more.

If you're from Chicago or even if you're not you have to check this place out! It's authentic Chicago pizza and it's amazing! Go hungry, you'll love it! Highly recommend the sausage for the pizza! Soooooo good.

Listen! Babbbbbyyyyyy this place right here has the BEST pizza we've tried and we're from the Midwest! If you're looking to try them, just do it! Our first trip (because we went twice in one weekend) we had a sausage and pepperoni pizza and wings with mild sauce. Everything was fire! Those sausages are made with love okay! LOL the second trip we had sausage and chicken pizza and an Italian beef. That pizza was also fire! The Italian beef would've been good but they forgot the peppers so it was just okay. Still giving 5 stars because they did not disappoint! We've found our new pizza spot!

First of all, the food was delicious, service was great. Got the bill and saw a 15% service charge. I asked my server if that goes to her she told me no, it goes to the restaurant. I don't think the owners know what kind of damage they are doing to their waitstaff. Luckily I asked because I'm sure a lot of people assume it's a "tip" and don't tip their server. These girls make $2.13 and hour and deserve to be tipped. Restaurant should not be adding a 15% service charge.

Great vegetarian pizza on thin crust which was sensational. It's hard to impress me with pizza, but I've come to find that the more simplistic the pizza is made, the better it is, which is why I love a classic Margherita. But yes, I recommend this joint!

Being from Chicago, I was craving a little bit of home and Chitalian provided it. We got the meat lovers pizza, Italian beef dipped with hot peppers and the 6 pcs wings with mild sauce. Everything was seasoned well and piping hot for our to go order, we ended up eating much of the food before we got home. Looking forward to coming back soon! Service was friendly and efficient and the restaurant was clean and spacious!

Meatball sandwich was pretty good. pizza was good but it wasnt Chicago style. They don't give you much of a choice on sizes.

Me and my wife went today and the pizza was very good and the thin crust was crunchy, the sauce was great the serve was great and we also had the garlic fries was good and hot

The pizza is delicious and the toppings are premium quality. I will definitely be back. I have only tried carry out, but one day I will dine in.

The restaurant is shiny & new with a lot of tv screens on various channels. I am intrigued by fried okra on the menu, but chose to spend my fat grams on cheese today. We got a simple mushroom andblack olive pizza and it is wonderful. Thee thin crispy crust was perfect for my husband. The sauce is beautifully seasoned, and tastes great by itself. We will be back soon!
