For authentic Chiu Chow cuisine in a laid-back, no-frills setting, this spot hits the mark. With shared tables and a relaxed vibe, it’s not about sophistication—it’s all about the food. Their lunch sets offer great value and plenty of variety, though some dishes are only available until Saturday.
The soy goose slices (boneless) [滷水鵝肉] were tender and coated in a savory soy sauce, though the dipping sauce leaned a bit too vinegary for my taste. The omelet with pork and dried radish [菜脯肉碎煎蛋] was another highlight, with a perfectly crisp edge and soft center—just a touch less salt would have made it even better.
The sautéed chicken with pepper and spice [川椒雞] was packed with flavor, balancing wok hei and aroma nicely. However, the small chicken pieces slightly detracted from the overall experience.
Overall, it's a solid choice for flavorful, affordable Chiu Chow cuisine without the fuss.
