My husband and I decided early on that food was going to be the most important part of our wedding day. We also knew that we wanted it to be 100% vegan. As big fans of Chive Kitchen when they had the restaurant in Farmington, we knew they could put together a fantastic menu for us. We hired Chive for food, bar service, and month-of consult and weekend coordinator. Suzy and team helped create an incredible evening that we will never forget. After our first meeting with Suzy, we knew we were in good hands. As two guys who had never given a lot of thought to what our “dream” wedding would look like, she took our vague ideas and turned them into reality. We had a general idea of what type of venue we wanted, and her first suggestion was absolutely perfect. The bulk of the planning was left to us, but Suzy was always available to bounce ideas, provide advice, and steer us in the right direction. Suzy’s creative vision, intuition, and experience are unmatched. Everything from a unique room layout and schedule of events to small details with table decor and custom menu items were executed flawlessly. Her team handled all of the set-up and tear-down, leaving us to just enjoy the day with our families. The decor was so thoughtful, warm, and just beautiful - more than we could ever try to articulate. The curated vegan food, cocktails, and mocktails were absolutely delicious, and we received so many compliments from guests - even those who are leery of the “V” word. Bruschetta, buffalo bites, and fried artichoke appetizers were immediately devoured. Dinner was Caesar salad, braised cabbage, mashed potatoes, portobello steaks, and mostaccioli. All of it was so tasty (the BEST mushroom I’ve ever had) and we were reminded of all our wonderful dates at Chive Kitchen. We especially loved the custom cocktail themed after our chihuahua. And of course the cupcakes (pumpkin spice and chocolate) were a HUGE hit. Suzy was able to accommodate all of our guests' food allergies with ease. On top of everything else, it meant a lot to us to work with a woman owned small business and fervent LGBTQ+ ally. Working with Suzy and her team was a dream. They did all the heavy lifting and we were able to truly enjoy and soak up the incredible evening that was put together for us. Chive was responsible for the most important part of our wedding which was coming together with family and friends to share a delicious meal. We will cherish the memories forever. Thank you, thank you!

We hired Chive to cater our 44-person reception, and we also opted for Suzy's coordination/planning services - everything was PERFECT. We didn't get to try any food beforehand as we live out-of-state, but we trusted Suzy and wow - she nailed it. Every single thing I tasted was delicious. We had so many guests complimenting the food, and they didn't even realize it was vegan! The planning, coordinating, and decor was perfect. We gave Suzy a lot of freedom, and she blew it out of the water. It was such a great time, and Suzy and her employees were a big part of that. Thank you SO MUCH!

Honestly not sure why it took me so long to write a review for Chive because I've thought about this place everyday since I ate here. First of all, it's so wonderful going somewhere and knowing you can order anything on the menu. It's truly a beautiful thing. Then, when all of those things on the menu sound delicious... It's incredible. I had a really hard time deciding what to get, but we ended up with the spicy nachos, buffalo burrito, buffalo seitan sandwich, and banana cake. The nachos were so good I immediately regretted not ordering another plate of them for my entree. They were loaded with toppings and definitely big enough to share. I didn't try the burrito but my boyfriend also gave Chive 5 stars so... I'm assuming it was good. The buffalo sandwich was HUGE and delicious. Huge piece of crispy-breaded seitan loaded with buffalo sauce. The fries weren't super crispy but they were well-seasoned and still delicious. We got the banana cake to-go because we were stuffed by this point, and I'm so glad it was a giant slice so we could eat it twice. I haven't had too many cakes since going vegan, but this cake was one of the best cakes I've ever had -- vegan and non-vegan. My birthday is 8 months away and I'm still looking forward to ordering it then. Another great thing about Chive is it's next to The Cheese Lady, which sells Violife cheeses. The only bad thing about this place is it's kind of far away from me and not really on the way to anything... But it's so good I'll make the drive just for them.

Ten out of five stars. My wife and I have been to Chive so many times. We've done many repeated Sunday brunches that have all been excellent, we've brought many friends and relatives to enjoy, and we've of course enjoyed their top knotch dinners. Most importantly, Chive catered our anniversary party yesterday. Suzy and the Chive staff were amazing every step of the process, from planning to menu to payments to delivery and set up. And wow, the food they brought to the table was ridiculously good. Appetizers, mains, desserts, all worth fighting over (but there was no need because portions were also reasonable). Our party had some vegans but mostly was comprised of omnivores and everyone absolutely raved about and praised the food. No one else could have done it better. Highly highly recommended for dining in and for catering.

This place is a Michigan treasure! Absolutely amazing food and so many great dishes, you will start planning your next visit before you leave. Totally loved the ginger sangria and fried artichoke bowl and the tofu started I can't remember the name of. The location is in the heart of downtown Farmington so lots of places to explore and enjoy as part of your visit.

Five stars for vegan lovers. Amazing restaurant for pure vegetarians. I went with my niece who is allergic to dairy and gluten. This is by far the perfect place for her. Not so much for me though. Service is a bit slow ~ 30-35 mins wait time after the order. Citrus tacos would be the best bet for someone not very keen on the vegan diet. My fiancé got the house burger, didn't taste great and I got the jalapeño burger wasn't great either but the fries with the burger were killer. I recommend chili cheese, citrus tacos and the best -chocolate cake for folks not so keen on vegan However my niece loved it she's 3.

Suzy and her team handled the catering and bar for our wedding, and we are so thankful we got to work with her! From start to finish, we knew Suzy was on top of things and we could trust her to create a beautiful dinner for us. The food, drinks, and desserts were all amazing and we heard from so many guests that loved the bar menu and other decorations she provided as well! Suzy also went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect day by providing us with a wedding arch when our ceremony plans changed last minute. Thanks to her and her incredible staff, we were able to enjoy our night with the peace of mind knowing she had everything under control. We would highly recommend her to anyone planning an event!
